Chapter 8: Summer! The Beach and A Festival!

After the see the wonderful Sakuras fall from the tree, and Shobu's fighting ability, they had met the 8th generation Tomaso Family leader, Naito Longchamp. Tsuna, with his mom, the kids, Naito, Bianchi and Gokudera, ended up going to a mafia resort, where they met two other babies with pacifiers, Colonello and Skull. When they got back from that chaos, they had to deal with a misunderstanding on Bianchi's part, and to entertain a group of elderly people, met the Vongola weapon tuner, beat assassins, teach Tsuna how to swim and find a missing Lambo. They were one at the beach for some good old summer fun.

"The sea~~~~!"

"Summer's the best!" Yamamoto exclaimed, getting a snarky reply from Gokudera.

'To get to come to the beach with my friends...it's amazing!' Tsuna thought. "And I already learned how to freestyle at the pool. This time I can try swimming freestyle!" He said.

"Sorry we're late." The three turned and saw Shobu and Jinsei walking toward them.

"Nii-san was checking to see if Bianchi-sama was here." Shobu said, pointing to his brother, who was still looking. "It's nice to be here."

"Where's Mei?" Yamamoto asked. Shobu just gave a small smirk that sent shiver down their spines. Before the kid could answer, they all heard some guys talking and looking at something.

"Look at those girls! They're so cute!"

"Are they models for a magazine?"

"Let's go talk to them."

"Sorry boys, but you're only aloud to look, no touching." They turned and saw Mei, Haru and Kyoko, each in a two-piece swimsuit. They all walked up to the boys. Yamamoto and Tsuna has a good amount of pink on their faces. "That goes for you guys too." Mei said, pointing to the boys.

"Psh! They have guys with them."

"Lame."

'Kyoko-chan is so cute! I don't know why, but I feel proud, too!' Tsuna thought. He then saw that both Mei and Jinsei had scars that he never noticed before. Mei had one on the side of her stomach and Jinsei had one going horizontally from the center of his stomach to his right hip. "Mei-san, Jinsei-san. How did you guys get those scars? And why haven't we noticed them yet?" Tsuna asked, not even realizing that he did. The others turned and saw the scars too.

"Oh...these...it was an accedent. We were hiking and didn't pay attention to where we were going, is all." Jinsei said. Mei just nodded and gave a smile. Shobu just looked down and said that he was going to go for a swim. "The reason you haven't noticed was that we always wear shirts to cover them. Unlike you when you go I to hero mode." He said with a laugh.

"Don't say that!" Tsuna said. The other laughed while the brother and sister just sighed.

"It was nice of Ryohei to invite us here." Jinsei said, changing subjects. "It's nice out here."

"I heard that Sasagawa's brother is gonna stay here." Yamamoto said.

"Yep. A senpai who's a lifeguard asked him to help." Kyoko said. Tsuna was just amazed and remembered a little traumatic thing from when he was a kid. Something about almost drowimg and whatnot.

"You're finally here!" They saw Ryohei sitting on one of the lifeguard seats. "With my lion strength and fish-like agility, I'm going to be an apprentice lifeguard this summer!" Gokudera just objected the statement while Ryohei got down. "Then allow me to introduce my colleagues. First, it's someone experiencing a bit of sunstroke..." They saw that it was Reborn in his elephant hat and boxing gloves. "Paopao-sensei." Tsuna just asked what he was doing here. "And also..."

"Hey, don't litter!" They saw three guys yelling at a kid. "You guys wanna I cease out workload, is that it?" The man asked, liffting the kid up. He dropped the kid and started to walk away. "Then you can clean up the area around here."

"These are my lifeguard senpai." Ryohei said, shocking them. "Senpai use to be in the Namimori boxing club."

"Oh! Are you Ryohei'a little sis? Your just my type." The guy said as he and the other two put their arms around the girls' shoulders and starts to take them away. "Then we'll keep these girls company." Mei just smiled at them, grabbed the guy's arm and flipped him over her shoulder, smile never leaving.

"You have have not heard me, but I clearly said that you are only aloud to look and not touch." She said, turning to the other two. "Now please let go of our friends." The two just looked at the third guy, who was bigger then them, and started to sweat a little.

"My sis isn't a pushover, just to let you guys know." Jinsei said with a smirk.

"Senpai! I invited them to come and have fun, not to be lifeguards!" Ryohei yelled.

"You still don't get it, Ryohei?" The leader jut said. "We just want to teach these lovely lowerclassmen about the glory of being a lifeguard." He said.

"We already know what it's like." Mei said, pointing to herself and Jinsei. "And yelling at kids isn't what it's like."

"We just wanted him to make sure that he understood that it's not nice to litter." The guy said.

"It's also not nice to yell at a kid." Jinsei said, smile falling. "And what makes it worse is that you told him to clean up the area. He is just a kid."

"He needed to learn to be responsible." The two sibling just took a really deep breath and exhaled.

'I'm going to stop before I punch these morons in the face.' They both thought and just stayed quiet.

"I see!" Ryohei yelled.

'He's gonna be next.' They thought with a tick mark on their foreheads.

"Why the hell are you greeing with them!?" Gokudera yelled.

"Onii-san's being used by his senpai!" Tsuna yelled.

"I will help my brother the." Kyoko said as Haru agreed.

"Heh. Who's this Tunafish-san?" The guy asked as Tsuna just yelled that she was an idiot. "Are you Tunafish-san? Then you must swim well, huh?" He asked as the other man got up and they looked at Tsuna. Gokudera threatened to kill them which turned into a challenge. "Three against three, a swimming race. The losers will be slaves for the winners.

"Sounds interesting." Reborn said, hitting Haru in the mouth to shut her up. The others tried to argue, but also got hit in the mouth. "We accept the challenge."

"Then it's decided. We'll swim to that island and loop around...no restrictions on swimming style, bets two out of three wins." The guy explained.

"I'll go first." Yamamoto said, getting cheers from Mei.

"The third contest can be the 10th, then!" Gokudera said with Tsuna objecting.

"Why can't Jinsei-san do it?" Tsuna asked.

"Because, if I did go, then I would most likely end up drowing the idiot." He said with a small amount of dark aura around him." Tsuna just sweat-dropped.

"Then let's start the race!" Just as Ryohei was about to pull the trigger, Jinsei stopped them.

"Hold on for a moment, Shobu's coming in. It looks like he has something with him." True to what he said, Shobu came in on a motorboat with a raft tied to the end. "Where the heck it you get the boat?" Jinsei asked.

"It was already at that island." Shobu answered, pointing to the island that they were suppose to circle. "When I got there, these people tired to attack me and I accidentally knocked them out." Shobu said sheepishly.

"Hm. So you tried to cheat?" Mei said as they all looked at the guys. "I say we still continue with this." They looked at her like she was crazy. "I want to see them get their asses beat. If they really are pros, then they shouldn't have to cheat to win, right?" They all just stayed quiet for a moment and nodded.

"What did I miss?" Shobu asked with question marks around his head.

"Oh nothing. Just watch and see." Jinsei said, grin on his face and hand on his brother's head.

"Now let's start!" Ryohei yelled again and pull the trigger. "Go!"

As they got closer to the island, the guy turned to Yamamoto. "We've undergone diffrent training them you middle schoolers have." Yamamoto just smirked.

"Is that so?" He started to pick up speed. "But if it's regular training, I won't lose." He was gaining the upper hand and made the turn, putting him in front.

"Oh! Yamamoto's winning."

"Woo! Go Yamamoto!"

"He's got his one in the bag." They all cheered. Yamamoto reached the sandy beach first, getting them the first point.

"Woo! You were great!" Mei exclaimed, wrapping her arms around his neck. She realized what she was doing and let got with a massive blush.

"Second up, ready!" The bang was heard and both raced of into the ocean. They both turned the corner and could hear the cheering. Both made it to beach with Gokudera being the first one to step on the sand.

"Looks like we win." Mei said with a smirk.

"We still need to have a little talk about your little friends attacking our little brother." Jinsei said as he and Mei cracked their knuckles and had an evil look in their eyes. Three minutes later, they came back with three beaten senpai and sheepish looks. "Sorry. We went just a little overboard. Now they can't be good slaves."

'A LITTLE!?"

It was now a lovely time in Namimori. Tsuna was with the kids at a summer festival where he just planned on watching the kids and looking around.

'Darn, I have to babysit for the summer festival. I wish I could've come here with Kyoko-chan like that time at the beach.' Tsuna thought. He then remembered the three guys. 'Then again, I don't want to deal with those nasty upperclassmen any more..." He noticed that there was a lot of commotion at one of the stands. He went to go look and saw Rebor shooting all of the targets. He ended up getting everything and the owner just complained that first he was pickpocketed and now he had no prizes. "Nothing good happens when I get involved with Reborn. Pretend I don't know him, pretend I don't know him..." Tsuna said, backing up. I-Pin walked up to him and told him that's he wanted something. He looked and saw that she wanted a chocolate covered banana. "Even if it's 400 yen, that's okay. May I have one?" He asked.

"All right! We dip it in French chocolate after we get the order!" A happy voice said.

"I said it was from Belgium!" Another voice yelled. "Here you go."

"Gokudera-kun and Yamamoto!" Tsuna yelled as he saw his friends runnin that store. Gokudera just replied that he was shocked while Yamamoto just said hi. That's when Reborn came over and explained that they needed to raise money for a wall that Yamamoto had broken and that the charge was directed at Tsuna. "You were probably the one who did it anyways!" He yelled.

"Geez. Doesn't it piss you off? It was Yamamoto's fault." Gokudera said.

'I think it was Gokudera-kun's fault, too.' Tsuna thought. 'Well, if those two are going to do it, I should do it too.' That's when some people started talking and one told Tsuna to get a placement fee ready. "A placement fee!?"

"It's kinda sounds like a tradition in Namimori to pay to be allowed into an area." Jinsei said as he and Shobu walked up to them.

"We plan to follow it and pay the fee." Yamamoto said.

"How much is the payment anyways?" Shobu asked.

"50,000 yen." They saw that the collector was Hibari. Shobu just let out a small yelp and jumped behind the stand. Gokudera and Tsuna just questioned why he was there and of the payment was going towards the committee. "It's for our activity funds. If you can't pay it, I'll crush your stand." In the backround you could see so,e of the committee destroying a stand. And with that he left.

"You can come out now." Jinsei said, looking at the stand. Shobu looked up from behind the stand and wen to stand next to his brother again with a sigh of relief.

"Why were you hiding? I know that Hibari is scary and all, but I'm pretty sure he as a reason, stupid maybe, but still a reason to attack a person." Jinsei said.

"I already told you. After my fight with him, he started to find me and tell me to fight him." Shobu said with a gloomy cloud over him. "I hate it." Before they continued, someone ordered a chocolate covered banana and they saw Kyoko, Haru and Mei in yukatas. "Kyoko-san, Haru-sama, nee-san."

"Wow~. You have a stand?" Kyoko asked, looking at Tsuna.

"Um, yeah..." He answered. 'Kyoko-chan's yukata is cute~.'

"What as pity. We wanted to see the fireworks together with everyone." Haru said, looking a little sad.

"Yeah."

"You look really pretty, Mei." Yamamoto said with a small blush and a smile on his face.

"Thanks, Yamamoto." She answered back with a blush of her own.

"Why won't they just kiss again?" Shobu said, looking a little irritated.

"Why? Didn't Tsuna send you the picture from last time?" Jinsei asked.

"No. He forgot to get his phone out." Shobu said with a tired sigh. Jinsei just sweat-dropped.

"Well, good luck." The girls said as they walked away with the banana's in hand.

"Ah, bye." Tsuna replied. "Aww, I wish we could've seen the fireworks together.' He thought.

"But if we sell everything, we can see the fireworks too, right?" Yamamoto said getting agreements.

'That's right! I still have hope.' Tsuna thought. "Want to work hard and...finish this up quickly!?" Tsuna asked, looking at the others.

"If that's what the 10th wants!" Gokudera said.

"Yeah, we should." Yamamoto said.

"This should be fun." Jinsei said.

"Maybe when we're done, we can have some." Shobu said. He them got a bonk on the head thanks to Jinsei. "What was that for?"

"You aren't having any sweats, you hear me?" He said with a dark aura.

"It's fine if he has one." Yamamoto said.

"No. You guys don't get it. This kid is terrible with sweats." Jinsei said, pointing to Shobu. "The last time we gave him anything sweat, it turned into a disaster."

"What happened?" Tsuna asked.

"I don't wanna remember that dark time." Jinsei said, wrapping his arms around himself and shivered.

For the next few hours they were all selling chocolate covered bananas, with a surprising amount of success. That's when a tyl I-Pin walked up to them and gave them advice on how to get more sales. Thanks to the advice they we able to get most of the money that they needed.

"We only have one more box of bananas to sell." Gokudera said.

"At this rate, we'll make it to the fireworks with more than enough time!" Tsuna exclaimed, excited to see them with the girls.

"Sorry, if can I excuse myself for 5 minutes." Yamamoto said out of the blue. "Every year I play the ball throwing games, and if I don't do it, it wouldn't feel right." He finished.

'This person probably makes venders cry, too!' Tsuna yelled in his head. "Alright. Since everyone is off seeing the parade, there are fewer people anyway."

"So it'll be fine if I go too, then?" Jinsei said as he started to walk off with Yamamoto.

"Sorry 10th! I'm going to the bathroom!" Gokudera said, leaving only Tsuna and Shobu at the stand.

"Ok! Don't worry, just leave it to me and Shobu." Tsuna said. Reborn said he would go dance. "Alright."

"This is nice." Shobu said as he looked around. "When we moved over here, I thought that I would only have nee-san and nii-san to talk to, I was kind of looking forward to that. I was even happier when I found out that nee-san and I were in the same class, but after meeting you and the others, I'm glad that it didn't happen." Shobu said with a small smile. "It's always fun to Tsuna-san go from being a loser to a hero in a second, seeing Yamamoto-san throw killer baseballs, watching Gokudera-san get carried away with the small stuff over you and more, all the way down to seeing Bianchi-san's poisonous cooking. Nee-san and nii-san always look like they have more fun, but I know that I have the most fun. I never thought that I would have so much fun in my life. Thank you." He finished, smiling at Tsuna. "Oh. Sorry about using your first name."

"It's fine. We're friends after all." Tsuna said. 'Even if he can somewhat hold his own against Hibari-san, he's still just a kid.' Tsuna thought with a smile of his own. That's when some kid grabbed the box holding the money in it and ran away. "The money! That kid is behind all of the robberies!? Now way!" Tsuna yelled. Both he and Shobu started to chase the kid. "H-hey! Wait!" When the kid stopped so did the other two. They saw that the same guy from the beach was holding the box of money. "The lifeguard senpai!?"

"Robbing is our second job. Summer is the best time to make money." He said.

'Wha...What to do!? At this rate, the money we worked so hard for will be... For now, let me go get Gokudera-kun at the others.' Tsuna thought. As he was about to leave, more guys got in his way.

"Give that back! We worked hard for those!" Shobu yelled.

"Or what? What can you two little kids do?" The guy said. Shobu just gulped and started to sweat a little.

"I'll fight you." Shobu said, going for his chain.

"After the incident, every time I look into the mirror... I see how my pride was scarred..." The guy said. "He grabbed Tsuna by the front of his shirt and pulled out a knife. "I've been waiting for this moment! I'll make sure you never speak again. Well, where should I start slicing you up?" The guy saw suddenly punched in the face and fell to the ground. Tsuna turned to see Shobu trembling slightly and had his chain wrapped around his arm.

"Shobu-kun..." They all heard a wail and turned to see what happened.

"I'm so happy, I'm trembling. I thought I found a delicious crowd, and then it turned out to be a great catch with the group of robbers we were after." They saw that it was Hibari with his tonfas out. He turned to Shobu and his smirk widened a little. "Not only that, but I also found the omnivore I was personally looking for." Shobu just got a small shiver run down his spine.

"Who the hell is he!?"

"The disciplinary committee of Namimori junior high!"

"You've saved me the trouble of having to collect from several diffrent people. We, the disciplinary committee, will take all the money you stole." Hibari said.

"You can't have ours." Shobu said, trembling more at the sight of Hibari, but still looking ready to fight.

'What's with Shobu-kun lately? Usually he wouldn't even think of fighting, but he punched this guy and is ready to go up against Hibari again.' Tsuna thought in amazement.

"Another idiot who pisses me off. Perfect." The guy from before said, getting up. "Just to annihilate two junior height kids, I called over too many nadass lowerclassmen of mine." He said, shaking his head.

"How many are there!?" Tsuna yelled, looking around.

"No need to go easy on them! Kill off that messed up kid, too!" The guy yelled as they all got out their weapons.

"Isn't this a little too much, even for Hibari-san and Shobu-kun...?" Tsuna yelled, again.

"Then you jump in, too." Reborn said from a tree he was sitting on. "And fight."

"REBORN! FIGHT AS IF I WERE TO DIE!" Tsuna yelled as his clothes were ripped off.

"There are only three junior height kids! Attack them at once!" The guy yelled. There was a sudden explosion.

"10th!"

"The support has arrived."

"Good job in holding them off, Tsuna, bro."

"Annoying brats. Coming out like that." The guy said.

"It's the first time battling with Hibari." Reborn said.

"No way. The money that was stolen will go to me." Hibari said.

"You can stand back, otouto." Jinsei said, looking at Shobu.

"No. I want to fight, too." He said with determination in his eye.

"Fine. It'll be fun to see you fight again." Jinsei said, getting his Fire and Wind wheels out with a grin. "If you need a break, just go sit out."

"I should be saying that to you."

"Enough talking! Attack them!" The people all rushed at them, but they all fought back. They were also winning. "Are these guys really only junior high kids!?"

And so, Tsuna and the rest were able to gain victory.

"We were able to protect our money from Hibari, but..." Gokudera's aid as they all sat on the grass at a hill.

"We're trashed~." Yamamoto said.

"Looks like we won't make it to the fireworks~~" Tsuna said.

"That was fun!" Jinsei said as he layed on the grass. "I was right. It really was fun to see you fight again, bro." He said, looking at Shobu who had a smile on his face. "You seemed to enjoy it yourself." He chuckled. "We better keep this a secret from Mei, though. She'll go crazy and kill me if she found ou that I let you fight again." He got a nod.

"Hey!"

"Tsuna-san!"

"Guys!" They turned and saw the girl running up to them. "We found you guys."

"What're they doing here?" Tsuna asked.

"I called them over." Reborn replied.

"Re...Reborn you..."

"Don't get the wrong idea. This is the best secret spotto watch fireworks." The baby said.

The fireworks we saw with everyone today were very beautiful.

Monkey: That was chapter 8. Hope you enjoyed. I really liked writing Shobu's thoughts on coming to Namimori and meeting everyone. It was fun. Next chapter we finally start the Kokuyo Land arc, I'm very excited.

Reborn: And why would that be?

Monkey: Why should I tell you?

Reborn: *clicks gun* Because, if you don't, I'll shoot you.

Monkey: You wouldn't dare.

Reborn: *smirks* Wanna bet?

Monkey:...No. I'll tell you later.

Reborn: Good.
