Chapter 11: Beware of little yellow birds and red eyes
"It's probably hard for you to understand what I mean." The old guy said. There were two visuals on the building he was in front of. "So, please direct your attention over there."
"The wall's become a monitor! Why are Kyoko-chan and Haru on the screen!?" Tsuna yelled.
"You bastard, what are you up to!?" Gokudera yelled as the rest saw it too.
"Now, now, didn't I tell you all to stay calm? I'll explain everything." He said. "My name is Birds. Like the word suggests, my hobby is keeping birds. The image you're seeing on the screen is being transmitted to us by my little birds."
'Haru's always studying... Kyoko-chan was just visiting her brother too...' Tsuna noticed something behind both of them. "Eh? What's that?" When they got a better look, they saw that had their faces looking like they were puckered up.
"Have you finally noticed? That's a pair of twin hitmen loyal to me." Birds said. "Notice their cute little faces? That's from being locked up for ten years in restraints that were never once removed. That's because they're brutal serial killers. Pleas watch. Very soon, they will be joining your friends for the inevitable fun and games..."
"What a re you planning on doing with those girls!?" Bianchi exclaimed.
"Hm? Nothing at all...If all go you follow my orders, that is." The old man said.
"They have nothing to do with this!" Gokudera yelled as he grabbed the man's collar. "If you don't call the hitmen off, I'm going to tear you apart."
"Oops. You better not touch me. Look, your friends..." Doing as they were told, they looked at the wall. "They're going to get it." They saw the two disformed hitmen about to attack the girls. "Even if you don't release me, I can give them my orders. The lives of your friends lie within my grasp. None of you are in any position to protest. It's best you don't touch me again, fool."
'Ya know I can easily kick this guy's ass if ya let me out for a few minutes.'
'I already told you no. I'm never letting you out again.'
'Oh come on. Why not? I'll tell you what. You let me play and I'll kick this guy's ass, the leader's ass and save all humanity from evil. How does that sound?'
'Then you'll proceed to terrorize every place you go to, pick a fight with everybody and then jump off a building to see if you can fly and end up getting us killed.'
'You just can't let that go can you?'
'I'm in the middle of something here. Can we talk about this later?'
'What, ya wanna tell yer nii-chan and nee-chan I'm back? They can't do jack about me. But I'll let ya go to deal with yer issues. I'm goin' to sleep.'
"Finally." Shobu sighed as he looked around and saw Tsuna on the floor with a red mark on his face. '...I always miss everything...'
"Nice job. Clear. Now, if you can clear the next request, the two girls will go free." Birds said, getting a surprised answer from Tsuna. "Who said that would be the end, hmmm? But since you cleared that one so nicely, I'll make the next one the final." He then pulled something out of his coat. When he showed it they saw that it was a dagger. "Please stab Sawada-kun with this knife."
"What!?"
"All your shocked faces were great just then~~~ Please stab all the way though to the hilt of the knife." The old man said.
"That's going too far! There's no way any of us would do that to Tsuna-san!" Shobu exclaimed. That's when the old guy's nose started to bleed. 'This guy is a creep. What the hell is his problem?'
"Decide quickly." They all objected. "Well, that's an acceptable answer too. So, let's move on to the next attraction. Let's approach the two girls carefully now, shall we?"
"Kyoko-chan!" They saw that one of the two had a vial of something in his hand. "Sulfuric acid!? What are you going to do!?" Tsuna exclaimed.
"Is there anything else I can do with sulfuric acid except pour it all over a person?" Birds said with his creepy smile. "Oh my~~ I'm really looking forward to this. The girls will be in great pain and shock! The burns will shock even more!" The criminal got closer to pouring it.
"STOP! Stab me with a knife or whatever, just stab me!" Tsuna yelled, shocking the others. "I can't! Never! I can't let Kyoko-chan face any sort of cruelty! She has nothing to do with this!"
"Very well then. Please, by all means, go ahead and stab yourself." Birds said.
'There's something off.' Shobu thought. Then there was something that flew into his nose. 'This smell is...poison! Damn! I need to stop him!' Shobu thought as he tried to react, but they all stopped when they heard a loud noise. 'What was that?'
"What happened, Gigi!?" Birds asked as they looked at the wall.
"Freaks like you are so obviously not the Lolita complex. Hi~ Kyoko-chan. I'm here to help you. As long as it's for cute little girls...it's okay even if this old man's muscles hurt like hell tomorrow." They saw that it was Shamal who had come to help.
"Now, now, everyone, let's calm down. There's another one to go." Birds said as the camera went to Haru. "Look here. We'll be putting this little face in danger next. If you don't want that to happen, please continue what you were doing. Tenth boss of the Vongola. Quick, stab yourself, please." They heard another yelled and saw that the other one was down.
"Keep away from her, jackass!"
"Ma~~~n you're screwed. My imouto is very mad and you really don't want to be at the other end of her rage."
"Ah shut up, you idiot! I need to get my rage out from earlier!" They saw who it was and were shocked to see Mei and Jinsei.
"Nii-san! Nee-san!"
"It's a good thing we listened to him." Mei said.
"He sure does know what he's talking about." Shamal said.
'Wait...does that mean.' Tsuna thought as he turned around.
"I had asked those three to watch over your friends just in case something like this happened." Reborn said as he stood there. "Now it's your turn." He said as he kicked Tsuna who ended up landing a punch on Birds' face.
"Damn you! Zizi and Gigi! What are you doing!? Don't just stand there! Kill them all!" The old man yelled.
"Good afternoon, sensei." Kyoko greeted.
"I would strongly suggest that you ladies get yourselves home. Otherwise, if you witness my fight prowess, you'd be smitten into insomnia." Shamal said, looking back at the two. They quickly left thanks to Hana dragging the brunette with her. "Right, shall we then?" He turned back to the criminal. He went for an attack, but Shamal just stood his ground. "You've cause far too much trauma for the fair maidens. Ahh, since I'm a doctor, I should say this. You seems to be suffering from hand-arm vibration syndrome. It would be best if you refrained from moving around to much. But, it's too late for that." He started to walk away. "You will now have a seizure." He said as the criminal ended up getting multiple deep cuts all over his body.
"Damn you, Shamal! Fine then! Even of there's only one left, kill her too!"
"Nii-chan, take Haru-chan away from here. I need to take out my anger on this jackass." Mei said with a dark aura around her.
"Sure thing. I don't wanna be here when you do." He then turned to Haru. "Please come with me or else you'll be scarred for life." Jinsei said as he led Haru away.
"Good. Now come at me!" Mei said as she connected her Bo Staff. Zizi ran at her and tried to claw at her, but she just side stepped it and smacked his gut with her staff, pushing him back. He rushed at her again and she just sighed. "Not much fun." She said as she lifted the staff and slammed it into his face, sending him flying into the wall.
"Wow! No wonder she's so high on the list of strongest people!" Tsuna said.
"Damn. Rokudo-san's missions are always so hard." Brods said as he tried to get away.
"Where do you think you're going?" Gokudera said as he kicked the old man in the face. He fell down like a wimp. "What!? I only got one kick in!"
"Oi, Reborn-san...exactly how many more assassins does this guy have?" Shobu asked with a sweat-drop. The baby went on to explain that the four they just versed where more people that had escaped and that there could be more. 'So he decided to hold this from is for what reason?'
'I dunno, but I do like this baby. He's funny.'
'WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO LEAVE FOR GOOD!?'
'Whenever I feel like.'
'I hate you.'
'Love you too!'
"Come out! I know you're there!" Bianchi interrupted his thought conversation. The person in question showed that it was Futa. He was hiding behind a tree.
"Futa!? What are you doing here!?" Tsuna asked.
"I'm sorry, but I can't go back with everyone else. I'm staying here with Mukuro-san." He said. "Good bye!" He ran back into the woods.
"Tenth, wait!" The others were about to follow him, but were blocked when something came in front of the and smashed into the ground. 'The next assassin!'
"Futa! Where are you!? Maybe I should have turned right earlier..." Tsuna said as he almost tripped on something. He got into a more open area and saw a guy standing there. He was wearing the same uniform as the others. "Hie! A Kokuyo student!"
"You're here to help us, aren't you?" The guys asked with a relieved look. "Oh, wow, we're saved! I honestly thought do never make it out of here alive!"
'Could it be, this guys is a hostage of Kokuyo...? Ahh...Mukuro must have gotten uniforms Kokuyo, that must be it.' Tsuna thought.
"Excuse me for jumping the gun here. But I'm really grateful that you've come to rescue us. Thank you." The man said. "That's incredible. You must have come with some really strong friends, right?"
"Ah, no...well...there's a woman and a baby though..." Tsuna said sheepishly.
"Eh...Baby? In such a dangerous place! What an incredible baby! He couldn't be a stong fighter, could he?" The man asked.
"No-no way! How can a baby fight, right?" Tsuna said. "But I really wonder what the could do if he got involved."
"So, you mean he could do something indirectly?" The man asked.
"Ah...well...I can't mention the details..." Tsuna said. "Ahh, that's right!? Do you know anything about Hibari-san, that is one of the Nami Junior High students?" The guy just said that he was there. "He really is here! Do you know which building he's in?"
"I'm the one asking the questions right now." The guy said. "This baby you mentioned. What is he capable of doing indirectly?" He asked as Tsuna saw his over eye. It was red.
'His...his eye...! Come to think of it..something's changed about him.' Tsuna thought. "Ah, right! I seemed to have strayed from the others! I have to get back! I'll be back with my friends! Later!" Tsuna exclaimed as he ran off. 'What was with that guy?'
