A dark pasted and a not so bright future

"Freed you good for nothing son of mine," my step-dad yelled at me. "You're not even my real dad so why should lesson to you," I yelled back. "You know with that long hair you look like a girl, I bet you are a fag," he yelled hitting me across the face. "You know if you're going to look like a fag I should show you what it is like being a fag," he yelled undoing his pants. "No please don't," I cried out. He took his pants off and pulled his dick out and shoved it in my mouth, graded me by my hair and made it so that I was sucking him off. Then he pulled it out and shoved it up me. I yelled out in so much pain it tore me apart and I felt like I was bleeding out.

"Freed please wake up," I heard a voice say. I opened my eyes and I was lying down and a blond man was holding my hand, I couldn't make him out my eye sight was a blur. "Your awake I am so happy," he said. "Who are you," I asked him not even wanting to sit up. "It's me Laxus," he replied kissing my hand. "What are you doing here," I asked him but I was happy that he was here. "Because I am your boyfriend and I was worried about you," he replied holding my hand tighter, then I remembered that me and him did get together. "Thank you for being here for me but what happened why am I here," I asked him not really wanting to know. "Well you passes out so we brought you here to the doctors and they ran some test on you and now we are just waiting to find out what's wrong," he replied laying down next to me in the small bed and held me in his arms. He fell asleep and I wonder how long I was out and if he stayed up the whole time, but I highly doubt it. He is not the type of guy to do something like that. Then Wendy walked in the room, she has been working here part time for awhile now. "We got the test back do you want to know what we found out," she said lowly with a blush on her face from seeing me and Laxus together. "Thank you Wendy but I don't need to know," I replied smiling sadly at her. "So you know what's wrong then," she asked. "If I am right my health is failing me again," I replied I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. "Yes sadly, we could have you go throw treatment and that would give you a fighting chance," she said with a weak smile. "Let me think about it first," I told her and she nodded and walked out the room.

I laid back down for a little bit closing my eyes. "I am finally happy kind of and health is failing me again," I said to myself. When I was born I had a health problem that I had to go though two years of treatment and when it was over they told me that there was a high chance that it would come back. But I went through life all this time not even thinking about it and now it is back.

"So you are dying," Laxus said sitting up. "You were awake," I replied. "Well I knew you wouldn't talk about it in front of me so I acted like I was sleeping so I would know what is wrong with the man I love," he said looking me in the eyes. "I might die if I don't do the treatment, and then there is a high chance that I could," I replied looking away. "So you are going to do the treatment aren't you," he asked. "Maybe I don't really feel like going though all the pain that comes from the treatment," I said tears rolling down from my eyes. "Again you went through this before," he said worried. "It was the first two years of my life, I was born half dead, I was told my mom wanted me to just die all the way but then she found out she couldn't have any more kids so she put me through the two year treatment, after the two years I was better but they said it might come back and I guess it finally has," I told him through sobs. "That's horrible, then what happened," he asked bring me in his arms. "When I was four my mom had another kid even though she was told she couldn't, well that kid was born healthy, so after that my step-dad started to beat me and a year after that he started to rape me and from there to when I found Fairy Tail I wished I was born fully dead," I told him baring myself in his arms. "Do you ever still wish you were born dead," he asked me and for some reason I taught he was crying. "Not since I met you and the rest of the team, you guys taught me what it was like to feel alive," I replied looking up at him. "Good to hear, so would you go through treatment for me," he asked me. "As long as I have something to live for, I will go through it again," I told him happy that he wanted me to. We went and told them that I would start treatment and Laxus came over to my place. "You know you don't have to be here for me," I told him walking in the door. "Someone has to be here to keep an eye on you in case you pass out again," he said sitting in a chair. "Ok whatever I am going to take a shower, you could do whatever," I said walking into the shower room.

Once I got my clothes off I got in the shower and started to cry my eyes out. I really don't want to go through this again I was finally happy with my life. I have an amazing boyfriend/ leader. What if after Laxus sees me in a weak state that I am going to be in because of the treatment, he wouldn't want to be with me anymore? After all no one wants to be with someone weak and useless. "Freed are you alright," I heard Laxus say. "Yes I am fine I am getting out of the shower right now," I replied getting out and putting my boxers on. I walked out of the bathroom and Laxus pulled me in his arms. "You sure you're alright," he asked. "Yes I am just fine, but I am tried so I am going to bed," I told him breaking free from his arms and laying down in my bed and fell to sleep.

Fear and Pain plus Love

I am lost and afraid, I don't know where to go anymore or did I even know my way. I doubt it my whole life was a lie more like a play happy to act out ever seen even though no one is here to watch. "I am here to watch," I heard a voice say in my head.

"Freed wake up," I heard Laxus shaking me. "What is it," I asked him. "You were sleeping and I slipped into the bed next to you and you broke up in a cold sweat and you felt really hot, are you alright," he asked me then I started to cry my eyes out and barred myself in his arms. "I am afraid I am so afraid," I cried out. "What are you afraid of," he asked. "The treatment I don't remember it at all but my body does and I lay in bed in pain most nights because of it," I told him but he just picked up my chin and kissed me softly. I stop crying and I put my hand to my lips they were tingling. "I knew that would calm you," he said with a slight smile. I looked up at him into his eyes. "You have me this time, and when you are going through the treatment I will be there to hold your hand plus we have Wendy to help." he told me pulling me into a hug.

We finally fell to sleep and when I woke up I looked outside and snow had fallen so there was a blanket of snow. I went outside to stand in the snow; I have always loved the snow. As I went down to pick some up a sharp pain went through my body and I fell to the ground and my vision was gone. Is this the last of me am I going to die here in the snow… "Freed are you ok," I heard Laxus yell. "I don't think so," I said weakly as I felt him pick me up. "Oh god your eyes are bleeding, I am going to get a doctor," I heard his say then everything went blank.

"Where am I," I asked not being able to open my eyes. "Good you are finally awake, you're at the doctors," a girl's voice said. "Ever is that you," I asked. "Yeah it's me Freed," she replied grading my hand. "Where Laxus, let me guess he finally left me didn't he," I asked her. "Freed I am sorry to say that," she said. "No he did leave me, no," I replied somehow crying. "Ha-ha I am just kidding Freed he went out to get so coffee and then go talk to Wendy and some other people, he made me stay here and watch you," she replied laughing. "You are evil Evergreen evil," I said hitting her. "Why can't I open my eyes," I asked her. "Your eyes started to bleed out two weeks ago, Wendy made something to heal them, you have to wait another week to open them," she told me. "So I have been out for two weeks," I asked her. "Yeah but don't worry Laxus was by your side the whole time, he does truly love you," she told me and I could tell she was smiling. "I hope so," I replied. I do really hope so I am weak now I won't be surprised if he left me. "Hey guess what," Ever said to me. "What is it," I asked her. She graded my hand tighter "I know you might not care but I have been waiting to tell you that, Elfman asked me to marry him," she told me and good thing I couldn't see because if I could she would be hitting me because I saw her blushing like crazy. "I am so happy for you Evergreen, you two are an amazing couple," I told her. Then someone burst through the doors. "Freed are you awake," it was Laxus. "Yes I am awake," I replied then I heard running and felt arms around me. "I am so happy you are awake," he said kissing my lips. "Hey Ever you better not tell anyone that Laxus is a big sweetheart it will ruin his bad boy look," I said laughing and Ever started laughing to and Laxus chuckled a little bit. "I don't care if people know as long as I still have you," he said grading on to my hand. Yes he does care and I bet this is all an act there is no way that he cares for me this much. Then I heard little footsteps and another person was in the room. "It's good to see you are awake Freed," it was Wendy. "It's good to be awake so what's the news about me," I asked her.
