"Why are you acting like a jackass? Why are you being so cruel to me? You were never like this before. We've done so much together, we play, talk, walk in the island and done sand castles. We were true friends, we would help each other out a lot. What happen to the person I used to know? What happen to my...friend?"-Yume

Right after Yume season the meat, she set the stove on at the right temperature. She remember when her mother was making steak, she watched closely to see how she makes such a juicy steak. It wasn't that hard to memorize the steps, in fact it was fun enough to get the steps her head. Her redhead mom would tell the secret of how she makes the steak so special. Yes, you would think food is just food, but that's not really true. Every food has their own taste, something that makes it different from others. Everyone has a recipe for food, which is something that makes it different. Yume loved the taste of her mom's homemade steak, rather than go to the steakhouse. In fact her steaks were so yummy she wouldn't even bother going to a restaurant to have some steak, instead she asked her mom to make some delicious steak for dinner nights.

She even remember one time when her mother was out for then night, she was alone with her dad. Problem was that her dad didn't know how to make steak, so instead Yume got the ingredients that her mom used to make a tasty. Except that she use different types of seasonings and picked out a lemon from the fridge. Her dad fell asleep before it was evening which gave her enough time to prepare dinner. She follow every step her mom taught her, then when it was done she took a bite of it to make sure was tender enough. Then once her father woke up, he walked up to the kitchen and saw the plates of steak on the table. He was an awe by the dinner, he didn't even remember cooking anything. Then Yume walked in wearing an apron and holding a spatula, Sora could tell that his daughter was the one that made the delicious juicy steaks that were waiting at the table.

"Try it dad." Yume said as she remove the chair from under the table. The brunette man sat on his seat and couldn't wait to try the mouth-watering steak on his plate. He cut a piece of the steak and put it in his mouth, then he chewed it softly. He widen his eye in a surprise expression, he couldn't believe what he was tasting. And it was made from his own daughter. She made the tasty steak he just put his mouth, it was so...sumptuous! But it wasn't like the one his wife cooked, it was...better! He could tell she put different ingredients in the steak.

"Wow sweetheart! This steak is so amazing! I never tasted anything like this before. What'd you put in it?" her father was defiantly pleased by the scrumptious steak she cooked herself.

"Sorry, I can't tell you." Yume put her spatula back on the counter, then she took off her apron. She sat down on the table across from her spikey-haired father.

"Why not?" he asked raising an eyebrow. His daughter just put her finger to her pink lips.

"It's a secret."

"Yume? Hey! Yume!" Yume snapped out of her lost in though moment. She looked down at her hands to see she was still seasoning the meat, good thing she didn't forget to wash her hands. Then she turn to Donald who had a stern expression on his face as usually folding his arms. She just shook her head and continued kneading the meat.

"Geez, you could at least say something kid. You really been acting weird today." the magician duck said. Yume continued to ignore his annoying complaints. Geez, he could never keep his mouth shut can he?

"Maybe, the little lady's too stressed to talk right now Donald." Jimminy said. At least someone was kind enough to understand her feelings.

"Ok, I'll leave you alone for now. But I expect you to say something later." Donald said before he left the kitchen.

"Damn Donald, your such a loud-mouth." she whispered to herself. Soft enough so he wouldn't hear her. She didn't mean to put any offense on Donald, but he was really an nuisance. She wondered how can the king deal with such a loud magician? Really, how?

Yume focus on making dinner, she knew her friends couldn't fight on an empty stomach. She couldn't wait to see the look on their face when they take that first bite of her special dish. Once she was done seasoning the meat, she put the steak on the frying pan. Flipping it from one side to another, then she added the sliced vegetables on the steak then sauté then together. Once that was done she took the lemon and squeezed it on the steak. When she finish she did the same thing with the other steaks, then when she finally finished she served everyone their own plate of steak with vegetables on the side.

"Dinner's served!" She yelled across the kitchen. Donald and Goofy ran straight to the table without hesitation, boy they were really hungry. Everyone sat down and took a bite of the steak on their plate. Once they took that first, they widen their eyes with awe. They were defiantly surprised by the taste that landed on their taste buds. Yume just smile to the fact that it was obvious; they loved her special dish.

"Garsh Yume! This the best steak I've ever tasted!" Goofy said with his mouth full.

"Yeah, it's absolutely delicious!" Donald grumble up the rest of the steak as he's spoken. Yume served a of chopped steak so Jimminy could eat it easier since he was small. He took a bite of the first piece her grab, even he was surprise by the tasty flavor of the tender meat he put in his mouth.

"Why I'll be. This is absolutely amazing, you really do know how to make a wonderful dish." the cricket complemented.

"Thanks guys." Yume said, then she took a bite of her famous steak. Enjoying the taste of her own food that she made, she wanted to savor the moment since everyone was enjoying her yummy steak. It reminded her if how her father reacted when he ate her famous steak for the first time, she was proud of herself to make something good for her family and her friends as well.

"How'd you make such a tasty steak kiddo?" Goofy asked.

"Sorry, it's a secret." Yume giggled a little.

"A secret family recipe?" Jimminy asked.

"No, just my own recipe I created." Yume said before taking another bite of her steak.

"Really?! You made this recipe yourself?" Donald asked.

"Mmm-hmm." Yume nodded since she still had the piece of steak in her mouth, she didn't wanna talk with her mouth full.

"I gotta say, you must be a expert at cooking cause this taste like it came from a fancy restaurant or something." Goofy said still chewing on his steak.

"Goofy! Where are your manners?! You shouldn't talk with your mouth full!" Donald said, still loud but right for once. Yume laugh at the moment her friends were just too funny.

"Might I say, you really are a mature young lady aren't cha?" Jimminy asked the blond girl.

"You could say that. I started to become independent when was little, but I was still the girl who always had a hyper and cheerful personality. Some of my friends found it annoying of me to always be as they would say 'childish' but I didn't care. I believed who I really was, my parents would even see me as a bright child." Yume cut another piece of her steak and chewed on it.

"They were right Yume. Anybody can see you as a bright person, someone who's always golly, positive, confident, and brave." Jimminy said. Yume glomp down the piece of steak as soon as she herd the last word Jimmny mention in his statement. Brave? They think she's brave?

"C'mon Yume! What are you waiting for kill it!" Raymond yelled at the terrified blond little girl. She was trembling at the big black spider on the palm tree where it was making it's web. She was too frighten by it's scary appearance, it was black and it's eight legs were crawling around. She was afraid if it was a black window like the ones in her books that she read. Yume didn't wanted to get anywhere near it.

"What's wrong Yume, you scared of a little spider?" the black spiked-hair boy said wearing glasses.

"C'mon Raymond, don't be such a meanie. You know Yume's afraid of spiders." Nini said, at least she was kind enough to confront her friend.

"Oh yeah, I forgot. Oh well, I guess Ms. Scardy cat is too scared to kill even a little spider."

"Shut up! I'm not scared!" Yume shouted.

"Ok then prove it. Prove your not scared, kill it." Raymond said.

Yume really didn't want to kill the little spider. It looked like it could be poisonous. She was worried if it would give her an infection, that would be terrible. She felt her hands trembling as her was pouring little bits of sweat. It was too hard for her to be brave like those others that she admire who were her dad, Taishin, and all those heroes she read about in her story books. Why should she even do it? It was obvious; she couldn't be so brave all she could do is be a coward like she was acting at the moment. It was completely hopeless to do anything, right when she was about to give up she felt a hand placed on her shoulder. She turn to see who the hand belong to. It was no other than her close friend Taishin.

"You don't have to do it Yume. It's ok to be scared, not everyone can be brave. But that doesn't make you a coward." the golden-spiked hair boy said.

"Yeah, Taishin right Yume. Your not coward, your just afraid of what's goanna happen to you. And that's a good thing because you care about yourself, that's important." Rhian said. Even the smart was being supportive for her, which made Yume feel more comfort now. She wiped the tears from her watering eyes, and let all her sadness take off. She felt a lot better with her friends comforting her it's good to know they care.

"Why don't we just leave the little spider alone and go get some ice cream." Nini suggested. Everyone nodded except for Yume who was still looking the spider.

"Yume aren't you coming?" Taishin asked. Everyone looked back at her, wondering what she was doing. Especially since she was scared of spiders she wouldn't get anywhere near it. But she just stood, staring at it like if it was just nothing. This was something different of her now.

"Yume?" Taishin couldn't believe what he was seeing, the girl he knew so well wasn't even running away like she would usually do. It was there was a new girl within her, it was nothing of her before. She took off shoe and went straight to the spider and squashed it with it. Everyone widen their eyes and open their mouth, this was defiantly the new Yume. She was no longer the frighten girl anymore, she was someone else. She was a new person today.

"You were right, I wasn't a coward after all." Yume smiled at her friends. Raymond was the first person to be incredibly impress, since he never wouldn't though that Yume would do something like that. And nether was Yume herself, but she just smile because she was proud of what she did. Cause it proved she was no longer afraid of her fear anymore. Raymond walked to the blond girl, obviously he was more impress than anyone else.

"Yeah, your right. Your not coward. And it's not like I though you were or anything like that." Raymond said nervously rubbing the back of his head.

"Oh really, you called me a scardy cat didn't you?" Yume put her hands on her hips. She knew Raymond could possibly thought she was a coward.

"Yeah that's true. But I know now that your not. You are brave. You really had the nerve to kill that spider, that's what a brave person does. Oh, and sorry for calling you a scardy cat. That was very mean of me, I shouldn't been so rude like that. Can you forgive me?" Raymond lift out his hand hoping for forgiveness, that was just like him though, regretting his actions and the words that came from his mouth. Sure he was mean and jerky, but he still had that good side in him.

"Of course I forgive you. Your still a good friend even though you could be a meanie, your still a good friend." Yume said shaking his hand, everyone laugh at Yume's statement. Raymond blushed a feeling little embarrassed, even though he had to amid he was being mean back there with teasing Yume.

"So, how about some sea-salt ice cream at the parlor?" Yume asked.

"YEAH!" Everyone cheered.

"You guys really think I'm brave?" Yume asked putting her fork down. Everyone stood silent for a minute from that question. How could Yume asked that question after all she's been through, all the battles she won, all the heartless she beat. How could she even ask such a question like that, she fought all those heartless monster and she still wondered if she was brave?

"Of course you are. Why would asked that kiddo? You fought all those heartless and bad guys that we've faced." Goofy asked.

"Well, it was just something I was thinking. N-never mind it's nothing." Yume continuing to eat her steak.

"Don't worry Yume, if there's anything you wanna talk about don't hesitate to ask." Donald said. Yume nodded, even though she was still thinking of a question but didn't felt like asking it.

Later after dinner it was getting late, despite the fact that Traverse Town was always nighttime. But it still had a schedule even when it's dark all the time. Yume pick out a lovely nightgown to sleep in then she removed her pigtail braids and let her hair down, as for Donald and Goofy they just wore some PJs to sleep in themselves.

"Well, we better get some sleeps if were goanna beat more heartless we might as well get some rest." Yume suggested, she crawled into her bed and got comfortable. As well as Donald and Goofy did the same.

"Yep it's time to get some shut eye. Goodnight." Donald said as he quickly went straight to bed. Goofy did the same thing of course since he was always sleeping. Jimminy jump on Yume's bed and landed on her pillow.

"Hope you don't mind little lady, but I was wondering if I could sleep here. That is if you don't mind." the little cricket asked.

"Sure, I don't mind. What about Pinocchio?"

"Oh don't worry about him, he must be at the gift shop in the hotel. I'm sure he'll come straight to bed when he's tired."

"Are you sure?" Yume asked worried.

"Thrust me, I know Pinocchio better than anyone. Besides his father of course." Jimminy chuckled a bit, Yume did too.

She laid down and rest her head on the pillow and pulled the covers over her as she relax and fell asleep peacefully.

There was a loud noise coming from outside, it was something creeping up for sure. Yume woke up from the strange noise that came from window. She sat up in sitting position in silence to get a better hearing of it. It sounded like footsteps, but they weren't loud enough to wake up Donald and Goofy. Yume got out of bed, the movement made Jimminy wake up as well.

"Hey, where ya going Yume?" Jimminy asked, he sounded a bit tired.

"There's a weird noise coming from outside. I'm goanna go check it out." Yume couldn't find any slippers, so she decided to just go barefooted.

"Well I'm not goanna allow that, your still a child and you need some supervision so I'm coming with ya." Jimminy said wagging his finger.

Seriously, she didn't like how people continued to treat like a kid. Even though she gotta admit she could get herself into trouble.

"Alright, but we gotta be quiet. There still people sleeping." Yume let out her hand so Jimminy could jump on it. He hop on Yume's palm and then on her shoulder. Once she was about to head out the door she looked back at Donald and Goofy who were still sleeping in their beds.

"Sorry guys." she said a bit sad, she hoped they wouldn't be mad at her if they ever found at that she sneak out of the hotel by herself, hopfully it wouldn't take too long. She head out the door, and went straight to the lobby to the main exit.

It was pretty dark outside with most of the lights off, even an eternal nighttime world needs to get some sleep. Yume walked in the town searching for the strange noise, she knew it was somewhere around the area. She felt the cold crumble ground underneath her feet, it felt uncomfortable to be barefooted outside but it was worth something interesting at least.

"Are you sure it came from around here?" Jimminy asked.

"Yes, I swore I herd it around here from our hotel room." Yume said.

She continued to walk around the area, until she came across a dark alley. That's when she herd someone muffling, like if their mouth was covered up or it was full of something.

"Do you hear that?" Yume asked the little cricket on her shoulder.

"Why yes, sounds like something or someone."

"Let's go check it out." Yume walked closer to the figure that was making the muffling sound. It was hard to identify the person, since it was too dark to see. But once she got close enough, she saw who it was. It was Pinocchio! He was tied up and his mouth was covered up with a blindfold.

"Pinocchio?! What happen to you?!" Yume said in panic. It was kinda pointless asking that question since his mouth was covered.

"Hang on! I'll help you." Yume was about to go up to Pinocchio when-

"I wouldn't come close if I were you." a voice said.

Yume look around to see where the voice until the figure walked up closely. It was no one else but Taishin, and then another figure walk beside. It was Raymond, both of the friends that turn their backs on her. She could tell their still brainwashed by Maleficent, and they were being more cocky than before.

"Taishin? Raymond?"

"It's good to see you again. Or is it really?" Taishin said. He put his hands in his pocket acting like a cool guy when he was still being unusually cruel.

"We had to get this little puppet over here, in order to lure to you closer to us. Looks like it actually worked." Raymond said putting his hands on his hips.

"Let Pinocchio go!" Jimminy yelled as he jumped from Yume's shoulder.

"You stay out of this little bug. We're only here because of you Yume. We've been spying and eavesdropping on you, looks like you were still fooling around with those buffoons like you were before." Taishin said.

"Guys stop it! You don't know what your doing! Maleficent is just using for her own schemes, your smarter than that witch. You can't let her manipulate you guys. Just look at you guys, your being corrupted by darkness!" Yume said really serious.

"I know, isn't it awesome? We're more powerful than before, we have control of the darkness now. Even the heartless are under our control. We can do anything with no trouble." Taishin said with a smirk on his face.

"See? You guys are making it worst for yourself! The darkness is just goanna turn you into monsters, you'll be become as evil as that witch! Please don't do this!" Yume felt like crying but she had to be strong enough.

"Quit with your whining crybaby. Your just trying to make a fool of us with your stupidly. I'm not goanna fall for that again. But I must say it's pretty how you tunr back to your original form. Guess you could be pretty smart at times huh?" Raymond said putting his hand to his chin.

"Stop that! Just listen to yourself, do you know what your even say saying. Snap out of it you two!"

"It's useless Yume, your pathetic persuasion won't help. You might as well give up, we're not goanna listen from what your chatty mouth has to say. If only you didn't act like a total idiot, it didn't have to be this way." Taishin began to walk closer to Yume, she took a few steps away but he would keep coming closer.

"Your not scared are you? I though you were brave like when we were little. Is the old Yume still in there?" he place his hand on her cheek, then slid it down from her neck to her upper right chest where her heart was. It gave her shivers on her spine to feel his hand hand on her body. He could feel every beat of her heart pumping.

"Taishin?" Yume couldn't do nothing more but just feel Taishin's palm pressed on her chest.

"I guess your heart is the only thing that can show you inner self huh?" Taishin look down at the puppet who was still all tied up and still muffling.

"You think that puppet even has a inner self? He doesn't even have a heart."

"He may not have a heart but he still has a conscious." Pinocchio smiled under the blindfold covering his mouth. Even though Yume couldn't see him smile she could tell he was happy to hear that.

"Conscious huh? Right, he's still made of wood."

"It dosen't matter, he's still a living thing. He was brought to life, he can do things any human can do. Every living thing has a inner self, even without a heart. Like plants they don't have hearts but they have something special within themselves. They give us cottons for clothes, and flowers give us fragrance to make the worlds smell beautiful. Every living thing has a inner self no matter what it is." Yume said.

Taishin was a bit amazed from that quote even Raymond though it was a bit interesting.

"That was very touching, but it dosen't even matter. Like we should even care about those type of things. It's not like they have friends who would always stayed together and not do anything stupid to get into a crappy mess!" Raymond yelled so loud he could've woken up the folks in Traverse Town.

"Now, now Raymond. Let's not loose our cool, we don't wanna have any witnesses. Remember we have to bring her to Maleficent, she's still eager to meet her." Yume widen her eyes when he mention that awful name, she backed away more.

"What?! You guys are taking me to that witch?!" Yume was so shock to even believe they would work for that evil hag. First she manipulates her close friends then she makes them her slaves? That was crazy!

"Yeah, she's the one who's help with our problems unlike you." Raymond said pointing at her.

"She's not helping you she's just want you to do what she she saids. You guys are better then that you know? You wouldn't like it if someone made you there slaves, would you?"

"Shut up! We're just doing this so we can get things right with this situation. Which has of course been caused by you." Taishin said yelling at Yume. She really didn't know what else to say. Her two closest friends who she grew up with were doing this to her. Maybe that's how she got the sensation...the darkness. They're using darkness, they were here the whole time and were using nothing but darkness. This must be the reason she was getting those breakdowns, and she knew it was coming from something...or someone.

"You guys...your-" Yume knew what was going one already, she didn't even had to finish her sentence for them. They already knew.

"...using the darkness. That's right." Taishin nodded.

"We've finally got fully control of it now. It won't take over us as long as we control, which no longer a problem of course. We'll become invisible and when the time comes, no one will get in our way." Raymond said he walked up to Pinocchio and summoned his keyblade and put it towards his neck.

"Unless you want this puppet to be chopped to pieces, you should come forward without giving us trouble. Besides our darkness is close to it's ultimate level, it'll be useless to fight with your little powers of light." Raymond held his keyblade close to Pinocchio's neck.

"No! Don't hurt him!" Yume yelled reaching out to the puppet.

"Pinocchio!" Jimminy yelled. He ran up to Raymond and Pinocchio but Raymond smack him away.

"Back the hell off bug!" Raymond yelled.

This made Yume so angry she wanted it to be release from her body. But this anger wasn't from negativity, she knew what this anger was being use for. She raise her hand towards Raymond aiming not to hit Pinocchio.

"Stop this right now! Pearl!" a bright light orb came from Yume's hand and she blasted it at Raymond, hoping it would hit him. But instead...

"Dark Sphere!" Raymond created a reflection sphere of darkness. So strong the light failed to go past it, it was basically a anti-light shield.

"Didn't you hear me? Your light is useless towards our darkness. You stupid moron, don't you listen?" Raymond asked.

"God, I didn't think you'd be this stupid. But I guess I was wrong." Taishin grab Yume by the collar lifting her dress a bit.

"Taishin, please stop this." Yume said as a tear drip from her eye and rolled down her cheek. She didn't want Taishin to notice her cry but she couldn't help it.

"I told you, it's no longer possible. I have to this as it has to be, no one other then you can do anything about it. I'm sorry for you to go through this." Taishin said. Somehow he had a sad tone in his voice, could it be he was regretting his actions?

"Taishin?"

"Just do what we say and you don't have to get hurt." Taishin brought his face close to his face almost as if he was pulling her lips close to his. But she close her eyes tightly a little bit frighten. She didn't know what Taishin would have in plan for her, hoping he wasn't planing to do something to devious or anything like that. Yume without hesitation pushed Taishin away from her, she didn't want him to deceive this time. It wasn't going to work for him, she was too smart for that.

"Stop it! I cannot believe this at all, you've always been the one to know what was right for us and the other. But your acting as a dumb as a mindless idiot! You call that doing what's right for everyone?! As least I'm not the one being manipulated by a evil witch like Maleficent. If you guys were to open your eyes you would see what's really going on and would be helping us instead that witch. All your goanna do is put many lives in danger due to that witch. You guys know better than that don't you? If you just let her take advantage of you two, then you guys are goanna feel like total idiots in the end." Yume said.

"I SAID SHUT THE HELL UP!" Raymond summon a dark force that entered qiuckly within Yume's body. And then...she fell to the ground unconscious.

"Yume!" Jimminy yelled.

"Don't worry she's not dead or anything, she's just taking a nap." Raymond said. He walked up to Jimminy who was shaking in cowardly, Raymond picked him and brought his lips close to the little cricket's ear.

"If you wanna make it out alive, I suggest you stay out of our way. Or we'll slice your little puppet boy into bits of wood and cremate them into ashes. Got that?" Raymond whispered to the cricket. Jimminy looked at Pinnocchio wondering if it was ok with him, the puppet nodded saying it was ok.

"Yes," Jimminy said in a depressed tone.

"Good." Raymond threw Jimminy far off from their distance. As the little cricket got up he hide behind a brick wall near wear the boys and Yume were so he could the advantage to see what was going on.

"C'mon, let's go." Taishin carried Yume in his and summoned a dark portal.

"Right." Raymond grab Pinocchio around his waist and walked into the portal.

"Sorry, Yume." Taishin said those words as he enter the swirling black gate and disappeared with it.

Jimminy was despaired by what he saw, especially since he was only one to witness it.

"Oh dear." was all he could say.

It took a lot of thinking and flashbacks of course, but yeah here it is! Now Taishin and Raymond got Yume, which is pretty much a horrified event. I'm sorry if your devastated from this chapter.
