Sorry it took so long! School isn't exactly easy anymore and I've had other things to do as well, including other stories. I kind of forgot about this one, heh heh. But I'm here with another update!

The Earth's Possession
Chapter 13: Annabeth vs. Jason
PERCY
Percy was a little upset to say the least. He knew that Annabeth was hiding something from him. What was it? And why wouldn't she trust him? They were a team, right? Percy shook his head. Annabeth had her reasons. She always did. Sighing, he made his way up to the top of the deck. He found Jason leaning against the handrail, his blond hair swaying in the breeze. Percy walked up to him, seeing as how he didn't have anyone else to confide in.
"Hey man," he started casually as he leaned back on the handrail. He watched as Jason turned to face him.
"Hey dude. How are things?" Mentally, Percy resisted the urge to scoff. Things were never that great in his life but he didn't say that out loud.
"I'm doing alright. But I think that Annabeth is hiding something from me," he revealed.
JASON
Jason looked up at the son of Poseidon in surprise. Annabeth was hiding something from Percy? That sentence just didn't make sense in his mind. Nevertheless, he asked Percy why he would think such a thing.
"I don't know," the black haired boy replied. "I just get the feeling that there's something she's not telling me." Jason nodded. He got that feeling too sometimes but never with Piper. What did that mean for Percy and Annabeth? He clapped Percy on the back.
"Hey man, I'm sure she's not doing it on purpose. It's probably nothing. Don't worry about it," he said. He felt Percy sag under his touch but he still turned back to Jason with a forced smile.
"Thanks man, I needed that." Jason clapped Percy on the back one more time and walked away from the railing. Maybe he would go talk to Annabeth about this.
ANNABETH
Annabeth was tired. She had taken a nap just a little while ago but it didn't seem to have made her feel any better. The voice in her head wasn't helping either, insisting that there was a traitor onboard the ship. The idea didn't sit well with Annabeth one bit but she couldn't count the possibility out either. Just then, she heard a knock at her door.
"Come in," she called out. Jason opened her door which surprised her, to say the least. Percy maybe, heck even Piper but never in her wildest dreams did she expect Jason Grace to seek her out.
"Did you need something?" she asked the other blond. Jason sat down across from her and looked at the floor. What's this about? Annabeth asked herself. Jason looked up from the floor and into her gray eyes.
"Are you hiding something from Percy?" he asked.
Annabeth froze. No, he couldn't know about the voice! Could he? No, there was no way. Yet here he was all but asking her exactly that. Trying to keep her voice as even as possible, Annabeth answered,
"Of course not. What makes you say that?" She watched as Jason's blue eyes narrowed.
"Percy seemed upset because he thinks that you're hiding something from him. I told him that you weren't but from the looks of things, I think I was wrong." Annabeth grit her teeth. Curse Jason Grace for being able to read her like a book!
"Look," she spat, not even bothering to hide the contempt in her tone. "I'm just worried. I mean, look at our medical supplies! What if one of us gets hurt? We won't be able to treat them! I don't want anyone on this ship to die, Jason!" Through her rant, Jason kept calm and quiet. She grit her teeth. The voice in her head purred. It's him… it whispered. It's him! He's the one who is stealing the medicine! Annabeth was too lost in rage and upset to think rationally at this point. She just listened to what the voice had to say.
"It's you, isn't it?" she accused. "You're the one who's stealing supplies from the infirmary!"
JASON
Jason's mask finally cracked.
"What?!" he demanded. "You think I'm the one who took all of that stuff?" Annabeth didn't respond and simply drew her dagger. Jason scowled and made a beeline for his room. He hadn't brought his gladius with him and boy was he starting to regret it. Annabeth was right on his heels and he had to duck every now and then to escape her weapon. Bursting into the room, he found Leo sitting on his bunk.
"Hey man, what's the ru—" Leo began as he watched Jason grab his sword and Annabeth charge with her dagger.
"Whoa whoa! Annabeth I'm pretty sure whatever Jason did, it doesn't warrant a stab wound!" Leo cried. Annabeth turned to look him, a wild look in her eyes.
"It's him!" she screamed. "He's the one who stole all that medicine and supplies!" She ducked under Jason's sword and made a move to stab him but Jason moved back and guarded with the sword.
"Leo, grab the others!" Jason screamed as he made his own move to attack. Leo finally got off his bunk and raced towards the deck.
LEO
Leo ran as fast as he could to the main deck, all the while muttering, "My gods," under his breath. When he got there, he was pleasantly surprised to find Percy. He continued his way to the controls while he screamed the Percy.
"Percy!" The son of Poseidon looked up to find Leo Valdez with a panicked look to him and slightly smoking hair.
"Umm, Leo. I think your hair is on fire," Percy informed. Leo waved it off as he began to turn on the intercom.
"Nevermind that right now! Your girlfriend is trying to kill Jason!" THAT got Percy's attention.
"What?!" he demanded.
"In Jason's room! Hurry!" Leo screamed and watched as the older demigod raced towards the room. Leo finally managed to turn the intercom on and repeated his message to Percy, ordering everybody to get to his room as fast as they could. When Leo had finished that, he raced back as well, hopefully in time to save his friend from being stabbed by a crazy demigod.
PERCY
Percy burst through the door to find exactly what Leo had told him. Annabeth was currently locked in battle against Jason and from the looks of things Annabeth looked like she wanted to kill him. He made eye contact with Jason who breathed a sigh of relief and screamed,
"Don't just stand there! Help me!" Percy snapped out of his shock and came up behind Annabeth and put her in an arm lock. His girlfriend squirmed in his grasp and muttered obscenities in Ancient Greek that would have had Chiron ashamed.
"Calm down, Wise Girl," he soothed, hoping to get Annabeth to stop squirming. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the others by the door, awkwardly watching the scene unfold. Eventually, Annabeth did stop squirming but she was definitely not happy about it. Percy took a deep breath and asked the question that they all wanted to know the answer to.
"Now, what happened?"
