"Happy Holidays!" Smiled Sirius. He radiantly sat into his seat whilst walking in late to Transfiguration class one morning in the Festive Season.
"What happened to saying 'Merry Christmas'?" Asked Lily, knowing that as soon as you could marginally call it Christmas-Time, Sirius has evolved into a three year old trying to sleep on Christmas Eve.
"You see, saying that could be offensive to people that don't celebrate Christmas for reasons that I don't know, probably religion or something." Sirius waved this off with a flick of his hand. "Like how straight people might feel left out on National Coming Out day because they cannot join in. That's why I suggest that the name be changed to Rainbow Day. This way it still has gay under or overtones and suggests that all colours and variations of the rainbow can unite to make something beautiful and tell the world with a skip in their step about who they love."
Sirius finished his speech with himself standing on McGonagall's desk; somehow no one has stopped him pacing down to the front of the room in the middle of class.
"In the name of Merlin's left leg… I'm not sure if that counts as being slightly homophobic or not. Does it?" Lily turned to Remus to consult him, since he had read almost every book about homosexuality since he ever questioned his sexual orientation.
"I don't think he meant it to be mean." Remus muttered, keeping his blushing head low. "He just thinks he is fabulous like Freddie Mercury."
SIRIUS COULD SO BE FREDDIE MERCURY. I wrote this in time for Christmas and because I uploaded the first chapter of this on Christmas, it just felt right to post another in the Festive Season.
I imagine Sirius to be one of those strictly closeted people but once they come out they're really flamboyant and stuff but then he still tries to stay really masculine and butch. National Coming Out Day was started in 1988, but I'm beyond giving a damn.
