Chapter 10: The Main Appetizer
Rukia Kuchiki moaned as Ichigo performed his delicious onslaught upon her. His tongue had been doing wonders against hers again to the point that she had to admit that he was being the dominant side today seeing as though he gave no opportunity for retaliation. She would've protested to him kissing the ever loving daylights out of her but how could she ever protest one hand on her ass? And most especially when he's kissing her fervently and sexually. Saying no was near impossible.
Much to her chagrin, he wasn't lying about playing dirty. She was pretty sure he was using every cheat in the cheat book for the very game he had proposed they play.
Right after business hours he had come back, he had gotten her worried as to where he was only to find that he was just hanging with Tatsuki which made her mad because she was worried over such a small deal. Whilst shouting at him angrily he just kissed her on one of her coffee tables like he did earlier that day leaving her in a state of near begging. That was just so humiliating. Then the day after, he surprised her just as she got out of the shower and this time he had her whimpering against the bathroom sink.
Winning was so hard when the odds were stacked against her.
Oh and there's today where he had decided it was fun to kiss her against a tree in the nature trail when she allowed him to go jogging with her thinking that there was absolutely no way he'd kiss her in public and only wearing a ski cap for cover. Speaking of which, aren't actors busy? Though then again the movie's done, he's probably on a short break. When he's busy she'd be free of him for the most part at least.
Ichigo tore his mouth of just to start kissing and biting her neck making Rukia gasp and moan.
"I-Ichigo... Stop... W-we're in public..." she managed to say as she tried to push him off.
"It's too early for anyone to come. If anyone's to blame it would be your outrageous internal clock." he replied smugly.
He bit her neck a little hard. "Not that I'm complaining..." he replied in a now deeper and sexier tone causing her skin to develop goosebumps all over.
"N-no... W-wait I-Ichigo.." she gasped as he pulled down the zipper of her jacket down to a point where her collarbone was visible and began to cover that part with hot open mouthed kisses.
"I-Ichigo, the sun's c-coming up! People are gonna see..." she tried to reason among the many moans.
"Are you sure it's the sun that's coming right now?" he replied huskily as he groped her breast making her yelp.
Oh God... Please make some random person pass by and make him stop. My self restraint can only do so much...
He returned to her lips and had one final taste of her before stopping completely.
"Well well well, what do we have here. Do you possibly want more Rukia?" he teased her as he trapped her with his sinewy arms.
She gulper heavily before reluctantly shaking her head no.
"Oh well, we should probably get breakfast." he said, his voice was no longer sexually charged like a few seconds ago.
Rukia controlled her breathing just in time for both of them to look completely civil. The more appropriate term was socially acceptable. Looking like you were just about to get laid was not exactly socially acceptable. She pulled her white scarf upward so that it covered the evident blush on her face. Her eyebrows furrowed as she stomped forward grabbed his shirt hard before dragging him back home.
"Ah, w-wait Rukia don't just drag me like that!" he yelled as he was being pulled by this puny but mighty force.
"It's your fault asshole!" she replied angrily.
"Aww... Are you mad?" he openly teased her despite the uncomfortable dragging.
"No shit Sherlock! Of course I am. Who wouldn't be after all the stunts you've been pulling, I am so close to kicking you out!" she yelled at him stubbornly.
"Yeah, but you're not actually gonna do it." he replied confidently causing Rukia's vein to pop.
"And what makes you say that?" she asked in an irritated tone.
"Well I dunno. Perhaps you?" he said smugly. Even from a distance his confident grin never failed to shake Rukia's thin line of sanity.
"And what do you mean by that?"
"Well..." he said slyly as he managed to have her release her grip on his shirt effortlessly and leaned down to her ear. "Body Language... The moment I leave you're going to go looking for me..."
Rukia was rasping at him silently before stomping off scaring a black Labrador and twin babies along the way. Ichigo could've sworn he saw smoke wherever she stepped.
He grinned at her as he placed a hand against his forehead. "Dear Lord, she really is the devil's incarnate. Makes me wonder why she's so attractive..."
"I'm bored..." Rukia yawned as she sat on Ichigo's bed controller in hand playing some game she found interesting. Final Fantasy XIII was it? All she knew was that she sort of liked it because the main character was a female rather than the typical male lead. She just slashed and hacked at one guard as her character's Afro partner stupidly got himself at low life.
"If you want, we can make things more interesting." he implied arrogantly as he read his copy of The Complete Works Of William Shakespeare while sitting upright against the headboard of his bed. Rukia was near the end of the bed.
"No thank you." she replied abruptly as she accidentally got hit by the opponent making her character stagger.
"Speaking of which, why aren't you working?" he asked nonchalantly as he flipped a page which signified the end of Hamlet.
"Momo and Kiyone convinced me. Momo told me that Kiyone could use the experience. Unfortunately, Kiyone agreed saying that I've been working far too much and that I should take a break and so here I am..." she replied as she thoroughly watched a cutscene between the female lead and the the female lead's little sister's fiancé who was fellow party member. Luckily, it was all CGI.
"Do you wanna go out with me then?"
Rukia accidentally clicked the wrong button and managed to use the wrong magic against a monster who was immune to it. "What?"
"If you're so bored then do you want to go out with me to watch a movie? That'll kill some time don't you think Rukia?" he replied as he began to read Romeo and Juliet.
"Give me five good reasons to go with an orange headed buffoon like you!" she retorted to him angrily as she overkilled a monster. She shouldn't really be wasting her summon Odin on an insignificant Rust Pudding.
"Well... One, you're bored. Two, a movie can easily kill off two or three hours without you noticing. Three, I'm pretty sure you're not going to the theater of your own accord which is why I'm accompanying you. Four, the number one rule in watching movies is to always watch with someone."
Rukia turned back to glare at him. "That's only four."
"Five, I get to go on a date with the lovely Rukia Kuchiki." he replied, this time he was looking at her. A knowing grin had been plastered on his face.
"Then no..." she replied as she resumed kicking the ass of a boss in a boss battle.
"Six, I'll buy you anything you want. The tickets, the food and everything you want to buy are on me. Even those expensive Chappy collectibles."
Rukia stopped for a bit and during the duration of he pause, her other Commando and currently Sentinentel, Snow was it? Got pounded really bad because he kept using the Provoke Skill. "What's in it for you?"
"Do you even have to ask? I simply want the pleasure of your company." he replied smugly as he closed his book in one swift conclusive motion.
After a ten second pause, Rukia turned the PS3 off and got up from her comfortable position on his bed. "As long as you're paying for everything." she said to him in a businesslike fashion.
Ichigo smirked. "Of course."
She walked out of the room all prim and proper. "I'll just get out of my house clothes." she stated before looking back to give him the renowned Kuchiki glare. "Don't get any ideas. I'm only coming because I get free stuff." she snapped at him while pointing a finger at him to prove her point.
She slammed the door.
"Oh Rukia... Valuing Chappy over little old me... I wonder who would she save in a fire." he mumbled to himself as he start unplugging the cables of his PS3 to put aside.
Meanwhile, Rukia was actually wasting some effort on choosing what to wear. Normally she wouldn't have given her clothing choice a second though but she felt like a puppet and some puppeteer had forced her to place effort on choosing clothes. She didn't want to but then she was technically ransacking her closet. She didn't want him to think that she worked hard for him but then she wanted to look presentable. Without Momo up here she was basically stumped. Though if Momo found out where all the conflict stemmed from she wouldn't have stopped squealing.
She settled upon her favorite white coat with black linings around the lapel and gold buttons. She got her red scarf and wore some warm jeans and even warmer boots for the weather. It looked like something she would wear on a daily basis. That shouldn't give him any weird ideas right?
She grabbed her everyday purse and filled it with her essentials which were basically her phone, keys and more importantly her wallet.
Now that that's done, she shouldn't really put his misery on hold now.
She went out of her room in a snappy manner and found Ichigo leaning against a wall in the hallway with a scowl as always though he pulled a smirk as he saw her. He had been wearing a hat for cover, it was sufficient enough to hide that insufferable head of hair. He didn't change what he wore, the only additions were some comfy sneakers, a black jacket and an orange scarf. She was slightly take aback when she saw blue eyes instead of his usual fiery amber ones and he was wearing a pair of fake sophisticated glasses. Actually, he did look like a model just standing there smirking at her.
Though there was no way she would openly admit it.
She frowned heavily as she stomped past him in an attempt to ignore him hitting him along the way. "You certainly took your time Rukia."
"I was looking for my cellphone." she instantly replied as she silently went downstairs while Ichigo followed with a knowing grin.
Sure you did Rukia. Sure you did...
Rukia managed to get down without any of the customers noticing which was actually a good thing. The bad thing was that she wasn't able to slip past Kiyone and most especially Momo. The worst thing was actually Rangiku in the corner with her boyfriend Gin. Who knows where that mouth of hers would run off to. Hopefully, nowhere.
The first thing she was assaulted with was Rangiku who was standing smugly in her way. "Going somewhere with Ichigo?"
Rukia glared at the women though it seems said woman was immune to it. "He promised to give me free stuff."
"In other words it's a date right?" she grinned.
"What! A date! with Ichigo!" Momo yelled in excitement as she suddenly joined Rangiku. Did she just teleport?
"No, it's not. He's just gonna buy me something." she relied angrily.
"We're gonna watch a movie." Ichigo cut in abruptly fueling Rukia's growing rage.
"If it's a movie then it's a date!" Rangiku happily exclaimed.
"It's officially a date when it has a guy and a girl who are attracted to each other to some degree go out to do an activity. It's only an outing with friends what me and Ichigo are doing. Are you saying every little movie I watched with Renji was a date?" Rukia replied as if she was debating with them.
"But Rukia you don't like Renji, you like Ichigo." Momo replied disheartedly.
"No I don't like that orange headed buffoon!" Rukia quickly retorted.
"I'm right here you know." Ichigo interrupted though he was still openly ignored.
"You are attracted to each other to some degree, haven't you guys been kissing a lot lately?" Momo whined.
"What! You guys have been kissing? Then it's officially a date!" Rangiku exclaimed.
"No, we haven't been kissing and no it is not a date!" Rukia retorted, her rage was slowly reaching it's peak.
"Rukia, that's so cold of you. What about earlier against a tree or yesterday in the bathroom or better yet, on one of your coffee tables." Ichigo smirked as he pretended to be hurt by her cruel cruel words.
"I-in the bathroom?" Momo said shocked as she swallowed thickly.
"Against a tree?" Rangiku gasped rivaling Momo's shock.
"Don't forget the floor!" Kiyone hollered out from behind the counter. Apparently, she had superb hearing.
"The floor! As in the very floor I'm standing on?" Rangiku gasped even louder as he breasts bounced with the gasp.
"The very same floor." Ichigo replied smugly.
"Y-you! Shut up dumb ass! Momo, I told you to forget about it! Rangiku, you never heard anything and Kiyone! I will so cut your salary in half if you don't shut up now!" Rukia shouted accompanied with the Kuchiki glare shot at all directions.
Momo and Rangiku looked at each other and blinked. "Oh well, have fun with your date." they said simultaneously as Momo went back to chatting with Kiyone while Rangiku went back to spend some quality time with her boyfriend.
"It's not a date!"
"Yeah yeah, we know."
Rukia looked to Ichigo for some back up which was to say he offered not an inch of help. "We should get going midget."
Rukia nodded begrudgingly.
Rukia was feeling very flushed as of the moment to the point that she couldn't help but lower her head to hide her evident blush. Ichigo had insisted that she cling onto his arm for some warmth seeing as though it was quite cold and it was snowing around. The technically, there was nothing to be ashamed of because no one knew them, Rukia absolutely refused. As a result, Ichigo forcible intertwined his fingers with hers. In other words they were holding hands. He just wouldn't let go. True be told, it was actually warm, his hand was very warm indeed. Not that she would actually admit that.
And truth be told, it felt like holding his hand but at the same time it's not exactly like holding his hand. She felt the same holding Ichigo's hand and holding his hand. Warm and safe.
Not that she would admit that either.
A smile graced her lips. Maybe this outing wouldn't be so dreadful after all.
They finally stopped at the movie theater.
He looked down and smiled at her. "What do you want to watch?"
"That looks interesting." Rukia replied pleasantly as she pointed towards a now showing movie poster.
Ichigo gave her a quizzical look. "That's a chick flick. I didn't known you were in to those. I honestly thought you'd go for the horror one." he replied with a laugh.
"Then there's a whole bunch of things you don't know about me then dumb ass." she replied with a light chuckle. "I used to go on marathons with movies like these with Hisana."
Ichigo blinked once. "Hisana... You're sister right?"
She nodded as she brought out a reminiscent smile. "I wasn't very fond of Byakuya then because my efforts to impress him were nothing but tiny nuisances in his eyes. Hisana told me he wasn't accustomed to having siblings so he had no idea how to express his joy. Or so she claimed... To cheer me up me and Hisana would go on marathons."
"That sounds like my mom."
"Really?"
"Yeah, except she'd take me to the amusement park. Just the two of us." he replied.
"We're wasting time dork... Go buy tickets or something." she joked.
He saluted with that handsome grin of his. "Yes ma'am. Wait here." he ordered her as he left her to buy tickets.
Rukia felt a cold chill fill her personage as she suddenly lost contact with the warmth of his hand. She was taken aback by this, nonetheless, she just simply shrugged it off as nothing. To compensate the lack of warmth, she stuffed her hands in her pockets. Though that really didn't do much,; now.
He finally came back with tickets in hand. "How lucky, five minutes before the show. Just enough time to buy some food. What do you think Rukia?" he told her.
"I'm guessing cheese popcorn and pepsi." Rukia replied.
"Mountain Dew for me I guess. Come on, five minutes isn't exactly a lot you know." he said in a carefree manner as he grabbed her hand and dragged her in the theater to get to the snack bar.
He brought her with him to the counter and asked for a bucket of cheese popcorn, a can of pepsi and a can of mountain dew. When the woman came back with what they ordered she made a comment about how cute they were though Ichigo abruptly denied it and so did Rukia, she replied saying don't be shy.
Despite everything, he still refused to let go of her hand but for some odd reason, she felt no urge to reject him.
They came in at the right time, rather they managed to find their seats in time for the movie to start.
To be precise, following the movie was pretty difficult. Rukia was pretty sure she was gonna buy a DVD of this movie when it comes out to watch it by herself. She had a hard time watching when she couldn't concentrate on anything else but Ichigo's hand holding hers. He suddenly pulled back when he realized it was bothering her and inched away a bit thinking she couldn't stand doing couple-like things. Much to his surprised, she inched closer to him. Apparently, she didn't move because of him, it was for the popcorn or so he thought. He eyed her hand as she grabbed some popcorn and notice that her hand shivered slightly.
She must be cold then.
He slowly pulled of the oldest trick in the book. He outstretched his arm in a yawn just so that he cam place his arm around her. Cheesy? Why yes it was but that's how he rolled.
Rukia felt his arm go around her. She scowled and attempted to protest but was too late. His armed had nestled right around her. She was thinking of taking it off of her but she had decided against it. It was pretty warm.
Why not? The only ones who knows us in this theater is us.
Just for a little bit.
Rukia closed her eyes and smiled silently. It won't hurt to be a bit spontaneous once in a while.
She snuggled a bit to make herself more comfortable much to Ichigo's surprise. So she isn't a total prude. He smirked confidently as he pulled her a bit closer, as much as he though she would allow. The only barrier between them now was the armrest, something Rukia was thankful for and something Ichigo had wanted to obliterate the moment he had sat down. He absentmindedly grabbed popcorn with his free hand and met her chilled hand. He didn't really mind the contact. To be precise, he enjoyed it, thoroughly. But she withdrew her hand quickly.
How cute, she's being shy.
They both watched the movie in silence as they had taken popcorn from the bucket occasionally. Silent.
The movie had reached the part where the stubborn girl had finally started falling for arrogant but handsome man. Ichigo and Rukia laughed with crowd as the two had begun to bicker in their work place out loud. They were shouting random insult aimed at each other's tiny faults. The pettiness of it all made the crowd laugh. She started complaining about his habits before aiming her insult towards his sex life. He then retorted with insults aimed at her sex life. In public. Yeah, classic.
The scene felt all too familiar, Rukia thought.
Rukia involuntarily leaned her head against his shoulder causing Ichigo to doubt what he saw. Rukia was being awfully friendly, not prudish much to his disbelief.
I better enjoy this while it lasts, I doubt she'd let me take her out again after this.
"I can't believe she's that stupid for believing her ex." Rukia whispered to him as he nodded in agreement. She really was into this wasn't she?
"Is it that hard for her to admit she likes the guy?" he replied earning him an agreeing nod.
Is it hard for you to admit you want me too? Was what he had wanted follow up his comment with. But then he'd just get her pissed like he always did but then he would have none of that today. He wanted to have a good... No, great time with her today.
He wanted to feel a sense of normalcy with her. Just once. He was just a guy and she was just a girl. Simple as that.
And just like that, the movie ended minutes later with the guy on his knees in her engagement party begging her to take him back. The rest was obvious.
The ending credits rolled and the lights had begun to flicker on one by one. The couple-filled theater slowly emptied. Rukia stood up first pulling Ichigo up forcibly. She really didn't have to because he would've complied anyway.
They exited the theater and stopped by a nearby wall where they could discuss on what to do now.
"What now midget? Do you want to eat first or do you want to go on an all out shopping spree already." he asked her sarcastically.
She punched him in the arm. "Zip it dork, don't push it. I'm guessing we can have a snack later."
"Chappy it is then, just lead the way midget." he said in a noble manner while even bowing his head all prince-like.
Rukia cringed at the gesture but quickly ignored it as she dragged him by hand, not on purpose of course but what else was she expected to drag with in public? His ear?
That does sound pretty painful...
Eventually, Ichigo leveled with her speed so that they looked like a normal couple. Not couple in that sense but couple as in a group of two people. Anyways, he looked around to see where she was taking him. As far as he was concerned this part of town was the dangerous part. Is she saying Chappy is that hard to find? He passed by some reckless teenage gang trying to act tough with their pompadours and shades and fake Yakuza shit. Ichigo sighed thinking what teens did nowadays. She dragged him around a corner and Ichigo found himself someplace familiar.
If he wasn't mistaken, his mom would always bring him somewhere using this route every month.
"Hey Rukia, where exactly are you going?" he asked.
"You'll see." she replied monotonously.
He scowled. This better not be some joke.
She finally stopped in front of an old shop which looked like it was falling apart. Ichigo had to blink twice just to make sure he want mistaken. This place is...
"Uruhara Shoten..." he said in a daze.
"Thought you might recognize it. It is your uncle's after all." she replied smugly.
"Yeah but what are we doing here, Uncle Uruhara doesn't really take care of it anymore." he replied.
"What do you mean I don't take care of it!" a familiar voice yelled at Ichigo.
"Ahh! Y-you! What are you doing here! Don't you have police work!" Ichigo yelled at the man with pale blond hair covered with a white and green striped hat.
The man smiled creepily as he switched his cane from his right hand to his left. His black coat fluttered with the sudden burst of wind. He barely shivered even when his get up was just a simple green jinbei with a black haori draped over him and a matching green geta and sandals. How doesn't he freeze?
"Hello there Ms. Kuchiki. It's been a while since our last meeting isn't it?" he greeted sounding mysterious as always.
"Yes, it's been a while, I do suppose you still have those items since my last visit?" she asked in a businesslike manner.
"Of course I do Ms. Kuchiki. It was my business and still is my business. Though I just let Yoruchi, Ururu, Jinta and Tessai run it for the most part since I have my Chief of Police duties." he mused.
"I see you've met my nephew. How do you find him?" he asked.
"Well... He's irritating, infuriating, whines like a bitch, arrogant, annoyingly famous, grumpy, pigheaded, rude, self-indulgent, perverse, resentful, belligerent, domineering... How many more adjectives can I think of?" she stated as if she was talking about the weather while she was counting her own fingers.
"You must loathe him." Uruhara laughed without trying to defend his nephew's image at all.
"Of course I do." she replied instantly.
"Gee, thanks guys. I'm right here you know." he grumbled with crossed arms and a deep scowl.
"Ah well, just learn to reel it in Ichigo. Now then, it must be freezing out here. Come in." he said with a knowing grin as he gestured them to come inside his domain.
Rukia followed with no question while Ichigo carefully entered the diminishing premises.
Uruhara told them to sit down while he got some tea. His store wasn't all that shabby though. It was a Japanese style structure which was perfectly normal seeing as though it's Japan Town territory. If there's China Town why can't there be a Japan one?
He came back tray in hand and offered it them like the polite host he was.
"I hope you don't mind green tea Ms. Kuchiki." he said.
"No, not at all." she replied sweetly.
Why can't she be that nice to me?
Uruhara took a seat in front of them.
"Ms. Kuchiki, I've finally acquired the piece you've been looking for."
"May I see it?" she asked excitedly.
He nodded and grinned as he stood up to get something from his stock room. He returned shortly with a new and never before opened box which made Rukia's eyes glint with happiness.
"You have no idea what I've been through just to acquire this item of yours. It was the first ever limited edition Chappy The Rabbit Mug ever to be manufactured. Only one hundred of it was made. This is one of those one hundred Ms. Kuchiki." he stated proudly as he presented the item to her like a trophy.
Ichigo rolled his eyes blatantly. It's just Chappy...
Rukia took the box with plenty of care as she could barely contain her happiness. She thoroughly examined it just to make sure it was legit but of course she needed to ask for the source of it just to confirm it's authenticity.
"Mr. Uruhara, just how exactly did you get this?"
"You can call it pure luck Ms. Kuchiki. You see, a few weeks ago the police had been involved with a huge smuggling case where it involved the smuggling of a large number of antiquities. Expensive ones of course, your Chappy mug happened to get caught in the fray because the owner of the museum where they had illegally obtained the rare goods from saved it so he could sell it when the price was even higher than it's current value. It was a major case so even I was involved. We managed to resolve the incident and the museum owner gave me the mug as thanks saying it was one of a kind. The man didn't even know his employees had been stealing museum stuff. What an awfully unobservant curator."
"Lucky indeed. So how much are you selling this to me. I can always pay for full price, you don't need to give me a discount like always Mr. Uruhara."
"By all means, give her a discount. I'm paying for it anyway Uncle Uruhara..." he scoffed from the side as he hastily drank his now warm cup of green tea.
"It's too late start being a cheapskate Ichigo. My dear nephew, I assure you that you can most certainly afford this considering your line of work." he grinned at Ichigo. "Besides it's almost Christmas." Uruhara said convincingly as he poked Ichigo with his cane.
"Yeah, Ichigo, it's almost Christmas. Didn't you promise that everything is on you today?" Rukia said adding heaps of salt on the wound.
"Fine... How much is the damn Chappy mug anyway?" he groaned in defeat.
Uruhara smirked mischievously. "That would be $300 my dear nephew. That's with discount intact." he stated like the former entrepreneur he was.
Ichigo's eyes widened. "For a mug!"
"What did you expect. It's extremely rare. Besides, didn't you spend more than that for that irritating HD TV and PS3 of yours?" Rukia reasoned.
"Well yes but it's a mug. A Chappy The Rabbit mug." he said in a horrified tone.
"By the way Ichigo, the given price is already 50% off my dear nephew." Uruhara grinned.
His eyes widened even more. "Wh-what! It's just a mug."
Rukia had begun to poke Ichigo profusely. "As you said, it's just a mug so pay for it already!"
"Otherwise, I'll kick you out. With no remorse." she stated dangerously as her pokes had begun to hurt.
He glared at her before begrudgingly bringing out his wallet. "F-fine... You win midget." he handed her $300, something she happily grabbed with a sadistic grin directed towards him and gave the cash to Uruhara.
Uruhara accepted it happily and officially gave the box to Rukia. "Here you go, it's all yours. The curator said it was meant to be used not collected so if you keep it in the box, it's bound to get fragile." he stated.
"Yeah I'll take good care of it. Say hi to Yoruichi and company for me."
"Will do."
"Can we leave now Rukia?" Ichigo whined.
"Yeah yeah, shut up dumb ass." she said as she stood up while fixing her coat before tugging Ichigo's ear.
"Please excuse us Mr. Uruhara." she said politely as she began to drag Ichigo out by ear causing him to whine about the pain.
The sliding door closed silently followed by several loud protests outside.
"That was your nephew right? And the girl is?" a sly feline voice asked.
Uruhara grinned. "How long have you been hiding there Yoruichi."
"The entire conversation." she replied with a mischievous feline grin.
"You haven't lost your touch from when you were an undercover agent."
"I think I do better as a housewife don't you think? Now answer the question." Yoruichi purred as she kissed his cheek.
"That was Rukia Kuchiki." he replied with a light chuckle.
"Byakuya's sister? What's she doing with Ichigo?"
"They're playing a little game of seduction I believe." he replied jokingly.
"My, that sounds interesting." she said as she wrapped her arms around Uruhara.
"My my, Yoruichi... Planning on doing something equally interesting as well?"
"You can say that." she replied in hush tones.
"What about the others?"
"Jinta and Ururu are in school doing their club activities while Tessai is off to do some errands."
"Well then, I might as well take your proposition."
"Don't keep me waiting Kisuke." she said in a low sensual voice as she took his lips.
"What now Rukia, it's already dark." Ichigo said in a bored tone.
"Next up is food of course. Since it's your treat I might as well make full use of my privilege to use your money as I please." she stated smugly as she waltz around on the snow covered pavement, her scarf flew with her.
"Damn woman, I shouldn't have asked you in the first place." he replied bitterly as he followed Rukia.
"But you did so what's done is done. Besides, my Chappy mug collection is complete!" she said gleefully as she waltzed around some more.
Ichigo had begun to pick up the pace and grabbed her hand forcibly making Rukia yelp slightly.
"What are you doing?"
"Holding your hand. I figured it would shut you up paced on how quiet you were earlier." he replied now adopting a more smug tone.
"Oh..." she replied after swallowing thickly and blushing slightly remembering the movie earlier.
"Oh you're quiet now. That's good." he said teasingly.
"Sh-shut up. You pick the restaurant then!" she yelled at him stubbornly.
Though despite her verbal protests, her hand seems to think otherwise, he thought. If anything, it seems she's the one who refuses to let go.
"My pick?"
"Yeah, just get it done and over with Kurosaki..." she seethed.
Kurosaki? What happen to the first name basis?
Ichigo mentally sighed. "Do you mind walking for a couple of minutes Kuchiki?"
He could have sworn he saw her stop to think about the Kuchiki thing before groaning.
"No I don't mind that much."
"Okay then." he simply replied as the walked.
They walked in pure silence in the snow as Ichigo was leading her someplace. Someplace she hoped had good food seeing as though she never actually got that late afternoon snack. This walk would actually be pleasant if she was walking with someone she actually liked. That would be pretty romantic but then she had to walk with this asshole instead. It was nice to walk, but it felt way too awkward.
I'll just pretend I'm walking with Kaien...
No... Damn that orange hair... I'm suppose to imagine Kaien, not the dumb ass...
"You alright? You look a bit pale Rukia." he said with a genuinely concerned tone as he looked down at her.
"N-no, I'm fine. It's just the cold." she abruptly replied.
He shrugged. "If you say so. Knowing you, if I worried anymore I'd probably end up at the hospital with my dick sawed of with a rusty spoon." he joked.
"Naturally." she replied almost laughing at the joke he made.
"If you did something wrong to me, what would be your punishment..." he pondered.
"Absolutely nothing." she replied mimicking his carefree tone.
"Hey, that's not fair now." he replied with a faux serious tone.
"Whatever." she laughed.
"I'll make you sing for me. In public." he said with a hug smirk plastered on his face.
"Sing? Whatever for?"
"Well, I did lie about your voice being the epitome of pure shrieking. You... Sounded brilliant." he said with this unusual warm smile.
She had seen his smirk and evil grins but never and actual warm meaningful smile.
Rukia's pulse had skipped a beat before the beat had begun to race along with a surfacing light blush on her pale white skin. Thank God it was dark, she had no idea how to deal with embarrassment if he saw her blush.
"Why thank you... I believe Ichigo Kurosaki has given me his first actual compliment."
"It's settled then. In the unlikely event that you actually offend me, I'll have you sing for me." he announced.
"Alright then..." she replied softly.
Ichigo looked surprised as he leaned down with his ear facing her. "What? No protests whatsoever? Gee, your awfully nice today? Maybe you'll consider today as a date?"
"No. Never." she replied instantly earning her a sigh from Ichigo.
"You're not going to change are you?"
"No, not anytime soon."
Then Ichigo stopped Rukia. "We're here."
Rukia looked upon a small and quiet restaurant. It was somewhat secluded giving the customers a more private feel which was good considering his status. It had a homey feel.
Ichigo went in as though it was his own house.
"Hey Yuzu! A table for two here." he hollered out while still holding her hand.
Suddenly a blond head had popped out the of the kitchen along with another head with black hair. They both exited the kitchen abruptly just to run off to Ichigo. The blond one jumped and hugged him as the other more goth looking one just crossed her arms and smiled.
"Big Brother! It's been so long, you never visit nowadays." the blond one said.
"Yeah Ichigo, why don't you visit more. Oh wait... You can't, your an actor." the other one commented sarcastically.
Suddenly Ichigo put the blond one down and rushed to the black haired on just to shush her. "Karin... Not in public." he whispered.
"Ah well, but seriously, it's been a while." the black haired one smiled.
Ichigo ruffled both of their heads. "Yeah, I actually missed you two." he said all nostalgically.
"Hey Ichigo, who's that? Your new girlfriend?" the blond one asked innocently as she pointed at Rukia.
"Who me? Nonsense! There's no way I'm dating this asshole." Rukia clarified instantly.
"Finally, a woman who isn't his family calling him an asshole. Hallelujah!" the surly one said happily.
"Don't be rude Karin." the blond one snapped at the black haired one.
"Come on Yuzu, she's the only woman I know who doesn't fawn over Ichigo." the surly one retorted.
"It's still rude Karin." the blond one replied angrily.
"Does that mean Big bro is still dating that whiny actress?" the surly one groaned as she pressed her hand against her forehead.
Ichigo grasped their heads angrily. "I'm right here you know. And no I am not dating Orihime Inoue anymore you little twerps."
The two nodded and step aside while pushing him away.
"Hi, I'm Yuzu Kurosaki."
"Yo, I'm Karin Kurosaki, we're fraternal twins."
"Kurosaki... You're Ichigo's little sisters right?"
They nodded simultaneously.
"Well then, I'm Rukia Kuchiki." Rukia introduced herself politely.
"Woah, a Kuchiki who lacks the stick all Kuchikis have up their asses!" Karin said impressed.
"Karin! Your manners." Yuzu scolded her.
"Anyways, it's nice to meet you Rukia. You sure you aren't dating Big Bro Ichi here? Because he seems to like you plenty." Karin bluntly stated.
"Sh-shut up! Who would like this Chappy loving prude!" he retorted.
"Hey! Chappy's cute!" Rukia snapped at him.
"Let's not fight now. You arrived just in time, there aren't much customers now so you guys should take a seat and start ordering." Yuzu said in attempts to ease the tension.
They all nodded as Yuzu and Karin slipped back into the kitchen while Ichigo and Rukia took a seat someplace warm.
"I never heard you dated Orihime Inoue." Rukia said.
"Well, that's because you don't pay attention to me as a celebrity. I dated her after Senna to ease the pain but it didn't work out. She was way too clingy, even at the party. Making me chase off a stalker for her like I'm her knight in shining armor..." he spat.
"Ah well, good luck with that. So what should we order?"
"Well... Everything Yuzu makes is always good so you just have to choose on what you feel like eating even if it's not on the menu she'll just make it for you anyway." Ichigo boasted.
"Well, I feel like eating Bolognese right now so I guess I'll be taking that. And some Iced Tea." she said.
"Alright then." he said before calling for Karin to get their orders.
She came quickly, teased Ichigo before leaving to give Yuzu their orders in one conclusive motion. As soon as she got to the kitchen she gave the orders and Yuzu had begun to put her skills to work while Karin waited.
"You know Yuzu, no matter what way you look at it, it really is a date." Karin stated.
"I'm pretty sure Big Brother is trying to pass it off as a date."
"Trying to win the heart of Kuchiki will take some real skill. Besides, I think she digs him already." Karin grinned.
"Wow, this is delicious." Rukia said as she took a noodleful onto her fork.
"Told you." he replied as he took a spoonful if his curry.
"I never said anything that would warrant a 'told you'" she replied as she munched on her fantastic Bolognese pasta.
"Whatever."
"So what happened with you and Orihime Inoue?" she asked nonchalantly.
"Well, it just so happens that she would always be the leading lady in my films right?" he asked as he took another bite of his heavenly curry rice.
"Well now that I think about it... I guess. And if I can remember one of those Momo rants, well, you guys were becoming a popular couple. Like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie..." she replied after racking her head for Momo rants.
"Right..." he spat with disdain. "Anyways, she was pretty much infatuated with me so I sort of gave her a shot. My mentality back then was that she was pretty, she had a nice figure and lovely proportions as well as the fact that she seemed like a nice girl." he stated.
"And your mentality now would be?"
"She's a clingy bitch. You know how much I detest cure pet names right?"
"Let me guess, she called you Ichibaby?" she snorted at her own joke.
"How did you know?"
"Wh-what? Seriously!" she laughed.
He frowned at her. "Yes seriously... Now she insisted I call her Hime... It's not like she acts like a princess. She lacks the elegance, poise and the sane brain. Though that's besides the point. She enjoyed flaunting our relationship. Not even trying to hide from the press and the paparazzi. That was horrible, so horrible that it was only natural I broke up with her after a week."
"How did you survive her?"
"That's what I've been wondering for the past three years."
"So did you ever have sex with her?" Rukia asked bluntly.
"No." he replied abruptly. "She was psychotic! Trying to get me to fuck her for seven days, that was the only time I was so sure that a big rack wasn't always the right choice. She tried to seduce me with lingerie and skimpy clothing." he seethed as the memories came rushing back.
"You guys seemed okay at the party." Rukia said.
"She was okay at the party, that stalker of hers was the only reason why I didn't vomit on her." he spat.
"I think your hate and disgust runs deeper than that so I won't ask anymore but I am curious about Senna."
"Senna? What about her?" Ichigo asked cautiously.
"It's... It's not clear to me. About what happened to her." Rukia asked as she adopted a more serious tone.
"It's only natural that it's not clear to anybody." he replied matching her tone.
"Why... Why is that so?"
"Senna is... Up there." he said as he looked out the window where all the snow was as he looked up at the sky.
"Up there... Is it what I'm thinking?"
"Yeah..."
"But why?"
"You can make your guesses. But I don't want to remember." he replied as he resumed consuming his curry rice.
"Is it that painful?" she asked as her fork stopped moving.
"I think it's kinda funny. I think we indirectly met three years ago..." he said with a depressing smile.
"We as in you and me?"
"Yeah. I remember her telling me about some guy who looked like me but with black hair in the room next door. She told me he was in a coma and that some girl who looked like a Snow Princess always visited him every single day." he chuckled.
"She was in the hospital. And... She was just... right next door?" she croaked.
"Yeah."
"But wait... I was told that the room next door was occupied by a stage four Cancer patient." she said before she froze. Her eyes widened.
"N-no... Don't tell me she's-"
"Exactly, so can we not talk about this anymore." he said as he sullenly ate his curry.
Rukia nodded. She just landed on a colossal land mine didn't she?
Rukia and Ichigo sat on a bench amidst all the following snow in the park a few ways from the metro. The moon had chosen to be extremely bright on this particular day illuminating area and making the snow glow in radiance. Sitting in silence like this was pleasant after going around the mall after dinner while making Ichigo buy her stuff.
Rukia couldn't help but smile. The snow looked so beautiful and so did the moon.
"It's not just the snow and the moon that's beautiful right now." Ichigo said warmly.
Rukia looked at him to find him smiling. "You're even more beautiful Rukia."
"I see you've gotten better at flattery Ichigo." she said as she quickly turned away.
"Who in the right mind would flatter you." he retorted.
"You do, are you saying you're not in the right mind?"
"Of course I'm in the right mind. And I'm not flattering you. I'm stating a fact."
Rukia couldn't help but grin.
"You've been nice to me all day so... I'll humor you, just for today." she said as she stood up pulling Ichigo up.
"But today's almost up." he replied with a his famously handsome smirk.
"Don't push your luck." she whispered as she tiptoed to reach him.
She wrapped her arms around his neck while Ichigo leaned down just to capture her chilled lips. He kissed her slowly, terrified that if he kissed her like her usually did she'd shove him off in pure and utter rejection. He didn't want that, he didn't want to scare her off seeing as though it was such a rare opportunity for Rukia to initiate the kiss. The kiss wasn't run on lust or passion, it was run on something warm and heartfelt. It warmed them up instantly with no actual heat involved. They kissed each other softly with no tongue involved. He didn't want to startle her though she ended up startling him as she felt her tongue beg for entrance. He opened up as soon as he felt her tongue run past his lips. Their tongues didn't fight for dominance like before. The only intention they had was to taste each other as humanely as possible. The tenderness of the kiss made Rukia's grip on his hair weaken considerably. The kiss was unusually tender, not fueled with sexual tension or anger or etcetera.
Ichigo clung to her waist while Rukia had her hands gripping his hair. It was so nice just to kiss like this. Ichigo had gotten Rukia to whimper slightly but she didn't object when it felt so good to just simply kiss him. It's just been so long since she had kissed someone like this. She would've simply loved to just melt in his touch.
But I don't like him that way. Then again, it would be great to try and fall in love with him. I have a reason to be stubborn then if that were the case.
Rukia pulled back leaving Ichigo wanting more. She placed her fingers against his lip and smiled. "Today's over Ichigo. Be grateful I let you kiss me for five more minutes." she teased.
He smirked. "So will you consider today as a date?"
"Maybe... If you'll buy me a Chappy The Rabbit umbrella then I might just consider." she replied.
He held her hand. He wanted to spend this day a bit more the way he wanted today to be. They walked in silence towards the metro, both feeling very warm at heart.

REVIEW ONEGAISHIMASU!
Anyways! I finally convinced my parents to let me buy Sode No Shirayuki! How cool is that! Finally, the hardest part of cosplaying Rukia is over! Now I just need to order the Shihakusho and get it during my month long vacation in the States. Then while I'm there I'll buy the rope I need to make myself a pair of waraji! Bwahahaha! Luckily, my eyes are unusually brown because of my tiny Spanish blood but when it's dark it kinda looks gray. Rukia's eyes look gray sometimes so it works. My trump card is my height! I am 4'9 so yeah!
Happiness!
