Everything was quiet in the Mickealson's house when Meredith Fell parked her car. The front door had been burst open and debris where everywhere, making her even more worried than she already was. As she stepped in the house she had the feeling that she was at the begining of some horror movie.

"Hello... Is anyone there? Liz, are you there?" She called out, worried that maybe something terrible had happened.

"In here Meredith." Liz yelled, not willing to leave her daughter's side.

The distress in her voice was audible and had the good doctor even more worried.

Elijah got up and went out to guide the doctor to the room they all were in. On the way, he managed to gain his voice back long enough to explain what was going on to the Doctor of the council. It was hard for him because he cared for all of the sick girls (even if he didn't know Caroline that much) and he didn't want to see any of them die but he figured he'd be the calmest of them all. He was sure than anyone else would have easily lost their temper. He had lots of practice in keeping his calm.

"What do you expect me to do? I've never seen anything like this before... I wouldn't know where the start looking..." She said one she entered the room and was told everything.

"I don't know... Could you at least try... I don't know... anything?" Liz begged.

"Of course... I'll..." Meredith replied, looking in her head for what she could do.

"You could analyse their blood or something..." Damon suggested.

"Could it be some kind of supernatural virus that only aims for vampire females?" Kol asked, afraid that his sister might die and that the last word he said to her would end up being ones of argument and insults.

He couldn't even remember the last time he told her that he loved her.

.

Meredith did her best. She took some blood from each of the unconscious girls and did her best to analyse it with everything she had taken with her but it all seemed pointless, she didn't even know what she was looking for.

Kol and Elijah had installed her in a corner of the room with the mini laboratory she had taken with her and placed in her car.

.

Stefan was right on time to meet his brother and hoped that everything would go well between them. When he parked his car, he saw a note stuck to the door and when he opened it, he saw that his brother had written it very fast.

"Stefan,

Rachel is sick, very sick. I don't know what's wrong with her.

I've never seen anything like her before.

I'm taking her to Klaus.

Damon."

Stefan crumbled the note in his hand and threw it on the ground before he rushed back in his car and drove it as fast as he could to the house of the original vampires to try and figure out what was wrong with his niece.

When he arrived, the first thing he noticed was the three extra cars in front of the house, then the broken door.

Something big was going on, he could tell. He entered the house, calling his brother's name and Kol came to welcome him, a grim look on his face.

"Did Rachel..." Stefan asked, fearing the worst.

"Not yet... They haven't improved yet." Kol replied.

"They?" Stefan asked, wondering if Damon had caught whatever had made Rachel sick and trying to ignore the 'not yet' that scared him.

"Yes, Bekah, Sage, Santana and Caroline are sick as well. It seems like they all have the same thing but we don't know what it is or what to do to fix it." Kol explained on the way to the library in a dead voice.

When he entered the library, Stefan rushed to his brother and hugged him before kissing his niece's forehead and going to check on Caroline.

"Maybe it's something that only touches female vampires...Some sort of supernatural bug..." Stefan suggested.

"We didn't wait for you to come here to think about this Stefan." Klaus said in a dead voice.

"We have no way of figuring this out... Sadly, all the vampire females in this town are lying in this room." Elijah added.

"No, not all of them..." Stefan said suddenly in a strong voice that got them all to raise their heads.

"What do you mean brother? Is Lexi in town today?" Damon asked.

"Not Lexi, no... But when I left Elena's earlier this afternoon I hung around and less than 10 minutes after I was supposed to leave, Katherine arrived." Stefan explained.

"Did she look sick at all? What time was this?" Liz asked.

"Not too long ago...maybe 20 minutes...and she looked perfectly fine... Actually, now that I think about it, Katherine looked very happy...cheery..." Stefan replied thoughtfully.

"This little bitch won't live much longer if she thinks she can kill my baby... I'll kill her." Damon growled.

"I'd go but they'd hear me coming... they'd hear any of us coming..." Stefan added, shaking his head in resignation.

"Jeremy should be home... I'll call him and ask him to try and listen a bit." Kol announced as he took his phone out of his pocket and called his friend.

"Alaric was supposed to grade some copies at Jenna's... I'll call him too." Damon said, taking his phone out.

Both Kol and Damon where explaining the situation in a dead voice to their friend and they hung up at the same time.

"Jeremy will call me back with answers as soon as he has them." Kol announced.

"Is there any chance that Katherine could have heard him?" Finn asked.

"No, he had the music turned on." Kol replied.

"Alaric said the same thing. He asked Jenna to go out and get some groceries so that she's safe in case Katherine tries anything." Damon explained before going back to staring in intermittence at Rebekah and Rachel.

For the next few minutes, everything was quiet. Meredith was still trying to find anything useful and everyone else was praying for a solution. The girls looked worst by the minute and everyone was worried.

Suddenly, after a good 15 minutes of dead silence, Kol's phone rang, at the same time as Damon's, ripping the silence. They both answered very quickly and everyone else kept on looking at the sleeping girls.

"Jeremy couldn't hear much... Mostly Katherine telling Elena that she was her only family, some girl talk about hair styles and jewellery...Something that sounded important about 5 bracelets that Bonnie enchanted and that Katherine put a special addition to." Kol repeated as soon as he had hung up.

"Alaric heard the same thing... He, too, think that this bracelet story is weird and important." Damon agreed.

"I didn't notice before but look! They all have the same bracelet... It's new, I don't think I've ever seen it before..." Finn said as he showed the one on Sage's wrist.

"Caroline's got one too. She told me that Lexi sent it to her as an early birthday gift. She couldn't reach her since then." Liz explained.

"Lexi would never do anything like this. Katherine probably arranged everything so that Lexi would look guilty and take the blame." Stefan intervened to defend his best friend.

"Rachel has one... I noticed it but didn't ask... I figured it was another one of Klaus' gifts..." Damon said.

"Rebekah has one too..." Kol said after checking his sister's wrists.

"So does Santana... I thought that it was some girl friendship thing since Rachel, Rebekah and Caroline had one too... I didn't think to ask..." Tyler said, shaking his head, blaming himself for what happened.

"I can't take it off... It's too tight to be pushed out by the hand and I can't break it, even with all my strength!" Finn exclaimed in raged after trying to take off Sage's bracelet.

"I can't either...and if I can't..." Klaus started.

"...nobody can." Damon finished fatally.

"So that's it? There's nothing we can do?" Tyler asked.

"Not until Sheila and Abby get here... We can only hope that they'll be able to help." Damon said, feeling like he could see life leaving his daughter's body.

So... Will they be able to take the bracelets off or is this the sad end to this story?
