The next few hours were spent trying to take the bracelets off of the girls' wrists. Even when they all pulled on the same bracelet in different directions, the thing didn't move one bit.
"I have a small vial of acid in the basement...maybe that will work?" Klaus suggested.
Nobody even thought of wondering what he was doing with acid in his basement. They were too busy seeing the hope in this. Even if it ended up burning the girl's wrists for a bit, they would be able to heal later. Klaus kissed Rachel's forehead and rushed to get the small bottle of hope. When he got back, he went to Sage, who was the closest and dropped a couple of drops of acid on the silver bracelet.
"I can't believe it." Finn exclaimed after the two drops had fallen on the silver bracelet.
"It does nothing...It acts just like water would..." Klaus said, not quite believing it either.
"Maybe it went bad... How long have you had it?" Tyler asked, thinking that they should buy some more and try again.
"It didn't go bad, it's simply useless!" Klaus yelled as he threw the small vial out the door.
They all heard it crash against the wall but none of them moved to see what it had destroyed on its way or what it would do if it wasn't cleaned quickly. It was too hard to leave the girls now for something with so little importence to them, especially since there seemed to be no hope left at all.
.
Sheila and her daughter Abby had rushed back to their car the minute Damon called them and they were on their way.
"Are you really going to help vampire mom?" Abby asked her, surprised.
"Yes Abby, I am. Rachel will be our salvation. She is our only hope of living in peace, of giving a peaceful world to the next generation... I'm going to do anything I need to save her, even if it kills me, because that sacrifice will be worth it." Sheila explained seriously and passionately.
"Okay then... I'll trust your judgment mom. It'll be the occasion for me to prove to them that I regret my past alliance with their mother." Abby nodded, incredulous at the speed her old mother drove at.
On the way, Abby called her daughter, telling her to be ready to be picked up, not telling her what they needed her for. Bonnie simply assumed that she was going to spend a witch girl day with her mother and grandmother, a moment to bond and to learn more magic.
The minute she was in the car, the youngest Bennett witch could feel that there was something wrong.
"What's going on?" She asked as she put her seat belt on.
"Rachel and a few others are really sick, Damon asked us to help." Abby explained, still looking at the road and not seeing her daughter's paling face.
"Why are you taking me there, then?" Bonnie asked, trying to hide her wavering voice.
"Because we might need you to help us save them." Sheila replied.
"Why would I do that? Rachel has done nothing but ruin everything ever since she got into town." Bonnie snapped as Sheila parked her car in front of the Mickealson's house.
"Just do as your grandmother says Bon." Abby said as they all left the car.
Since her grandmother was right behind her, Bonnie had no other choice but to follow, she couldn't run away now. She hoped that her involvement in this would stay hidden from everyone and that she would be able to slow everyone down in fixing the situation.
.
As soon as they heard a car stop in front of their house, all the vampires in the library looked up.
"What's going on?" Liz asked.
"The witches are here." Kol replied.
"Let's show them the way then." Stefan said, leaving Caroline's side to welcome the Bennett's.
Stefan didn't expect to see Bonnie but here she was, along with the others.
"YOU!" He yelled as he rushed to the young witch, grabbed her by the throat and pinned her to the wall.
"Stefan, stop it!" Abby yelled, scared for her only daughter.
"What are you thinking Stefan?" Kol yelled as the people in the library left the sick girl's side to see what was going on.
Bonnie used her power to give Stefan a magical headache and he dropped her to the ground while he used both of his hands to hold his head.
"What's going on?" Sheila asked Stefan.
"It's her fault! She helped Katherine and Elena make these bracelets that are killing Rachel, Caroline and the others. Bonnie did it. She's a murderer. If they die I will kill her myself." Stefan yelled so loudly that the walls of the house vibrated.
"Bonnie would never do that..." Sheila protested weakly.
"Tell us the truths now, witch!" Klaus growled as he and Elijah pinned the young girl against the wall.
"Answer now or die." Kol said, looking her in the eyes.
Of course Bonnie didn't say anything and gave them all a magical headache, freeing herself pretty quickly, looking down on them as if she was a queen and they were dirt on her feet. She turned toward the door and started walking out when she was stopped by her mother who knocked her out with some magic.
They laid Bonnie on the floor and put out some candles around her.
"What are they doing?" Liz asked.
"A spell to know the truth. Bonnie won't have a choice but to tell them everything." Finn explained calmly.
Everyone stayed around, wanting to hear what Bonnie was going to say.
When it was done and the witches finally broke through Bonnie's mind, she finally spoke.
"What did you do to hurt those girls Bonnie? What did Katherine do?" Sheila asked.
"Katherine melted two silver daggers that had been used on Finn and Rebekah in the past. Then she added the white oak ash she had left and when it was all melted she fashioned them in 5 bracelets. She stole Mickeal's body and brought him in some shop that turn the bodies into ashes and the ashes into diamonds. They could do several diamonds with one body so she paid what she had to and after 5 weeks they gave her 5 diamonds. She put them on the bracelets, engraved them and I did several spells." Bonnie explained.
Abby listened and felt guilty. She thought that maybe if she had been around more, then she would have been able to prevent this from happening. Maybe Bonnie had simply lacked women influences...
"What spells?" Sheila asked, disappointed in her granddaughter.
"I used the diamond made of Mickeal to be linked to him and Esther on the other side. They're over there together. It gave me more power and I was strong enough to put on the bracelet a spell that would slowly drain their living energy from them. As soon as they put the bracelets on they started losing their life, slowly but surely." Bonnie knew what was happening but she didn't have any power over it.
"How come Rachel didn't feel the magic operating? She's much stronger than you, she should have been able to detect it." Damon asked.
"I added a spell to hide the power of the bracelet. I also added a spell to protect those bracelets and make them indestructible."
"Why did you do it Bonnie? I thought Caroline was your friend?" Sheila asked.
"Caroline betrayed us when she started hanging out with Rachel. She deserved to be punished."
"Why kill them all though?" Tyler asked.
"Katherine wanted to hurt Klaus, Elijah, Stefan and Damon. Since she failed to kill them every time she tried, she figured that hitting them close to the heart was the best. She wanted to see them hurt." Bonnie replied.
"Did Elena know about this?" Stefan asked, already knowing the answer but wanting confirmation.
"Did she know? She even helped." Bonnie replied before the spell wore off and she was able to wake up.
Immediately, Elijah injected her with some sedative he had found in Meredith's bag and the guilty witch fell back on the ground.
"I'll keep an eye on her, you go ahead and save the girls." Kol assured them.
Sheila and Abby grabbed the bags they had brought and followed the vampires in the library. Now they had to do the hardest part... They really hoped they managed it. They couldn't fail. The outcome would be disastrous if they failed.
But the question everyone was asking was: would Sheila and Abby Bennett be strong enough to break a spell so strong that uses the energy of an original vampire and the original witch?
Will they be able to break the spell or will they find out that they're not strong enough?
Is this the end to this already long story?
