In the library, they disposed candles around each dying body, along with a crystal bowl of water at the head of each of them. The girls had been moved so they were all around in a circle with their heads pointing to the center of the circle to Sheila and Abby holding hands and muttering. Klaus had given them some of his blood so they could try and channel his own energy to compensate Mickeal's. They were also planning on using the power of their entire bloodline since they could.
The night had fallen and so they had opened the windows of the library. Even if the moon wasn't full, the witches could channel it's power to make them more powerful. They also took Bonnie's necklace to channel her own power. They didn't need her permission, they had seniority over her and she had no right to protest after what she had done.
From the moment Sheila and Abby started muttering, everyone fell silent. The air in the house was very tensed and they all hoped they would succeed. After about 15 minutes, Sheila opened her eyes, turned her head toward them and said:
"Get ready to break the bracelets off when I say so."
They didn't question her. Finn stood at Sage's side, one hand on her bracelet. Stefan did so with Caroline, Tyler with Santana, Klaus with Rachel and Damon with Rebekah.
"Now." Sheila ordered before she went back to mumbling in an ancient language they didn't know.
It worked and the bracelets were off. They threw them on the wooden floor and kept their eyes on the sick girls while the witches kept on speaking ancient and powerful spells.
Slowly, the colors came back to the girls. It was very slow but it was progress.
"Their life forces will come back slowly now. They should wake up in less than an hour." Abby announced when they stopped as she helped her mother sit down.
"Thank you." Damon and Klaus spoke at once while Liz brought a cup of tea to Sheila who seemed to have used too much energy.
"Do you need some blood Sheila?" Stefan asked her.
"My pride would make me refuse but I must see reason... I used too much energy... However I don't know if vampire blood will work..." Sheila said.
"If the power that be wanted Rachel and her friends to be saved, then his blood will work, mother." Abby said.
Sheila then nodded and Stefan gave her some of his blood, not willing to see this old friend of his die yet.
"We will stay until they wake up." Sheila announced as Kol brought a waking Bonnie in the room.
Of course the first thing Bonnie did when she woke up was to give Damon and Klaus a magical headache but her mother reacted quickly and blew on her daughter herbs that would block her powers for a while.
.
The next hour seemed to be the longest yet. They couldn't speak and when Bonnie tried to insult them and they grew tired of it, they gagged her.
Suddenly, the 5 girls all woke up at the same time, sitting on their bed with a big intake of breath. They were all hugged for about 15 minutes until Rachel gently pushed Klaus away with a small reassuring smile. He let her go, wondering what she was doing and the young Salvatore turned toward Bonnie.
Nobody had ever seen Rachel this furious before. She usually was smiling, nice and forgiving but this time she looked ready to blow something up. They all hoped it wouldn't be Bonnie's head. It would be hard to clean.
"Do you have any idea of what we went through Bonnie? Knowing your dying without knowing why or what to do? Hearing your loved ones worrying and being unable to even reassure them? Feeling your life leave your body and not being able to do anything about it or not being even capable of warning anyone because of your spells? And you dare call yourself a good witch?" Rachel had yelled these words and they brought tears in Sheila and Abby's eyes.
Everyone was wondering if sweet Rachel would finally turn vengeful.
"I'm not going to kill you Bonnie, because that would be wrong and it would make me worst than you." Rachel said as she placed both of her hand on the sides of Bonnie's head.
They could all see the dark red light leaving the witch's body and evaporating through the air.
"I know you can feel what I just did. You know that I just took your powers away. You don't have magic in you anymore. You can get it back when you're ready to see how wrong you've been lately. You'll get them back when you're ready to beg for our apology." Rachel said before she released Bonnie.
Of course Bonnie started complaining, protesting and screaming as soon as the gag was off but she was cut off by her mother.
"You're also grounded for the rest of the school year Bonnie. No cell phone, no TV, no car privileges. You'll need to be back home before 7 pm every day and you'll have to get a job because you won't get any more allowance." Abby declared.
"You can't do this to me. You were never my mother and now you want to take on that role?" Bonnie asked, incredulous.
"Would you rather us telling your father that you allied yourself with one of our enemies to kill 5 innocent girls? You know he'll not only side with me but be punishing you even more." Abby replied, pushing a protesting Bonnie in front of her and to the car.
Before Sheila left the house, Rachel went to hug her and thanked the woman profusely for what she had done to not only help her but save the 5 of them.
.
After that, they improvised a small party, ordered pizzas and celebrated life together until it was time to go home and rest.
"What about Elena and Katherine?" Stefan asked, knowing that it wasn't over yet.
"Jeremy texted me about an hour ago. He overheard Katherine telling Elena that she was leaving town for a while. Somehow they know that it didn't work and Katherine told Elena that she had to leave until things calmed down but that she would be back." Kol explained as Damon refilled his Bourbon glass.
"When she does we'll be waiting for her." Klaus announced.
"Well, I need to break things up with Elena... She's not the same anymore... She's not the one I fell in love with." Stefan said.
"Maybe you shouldn't." Rachel said, bringing all the attention on her.
"How can you say that? Do you really want him with that bitch?" Caroline asked, hurt.
"Of course not, but Katherine seems to always be one step ahead of us... Stefan could be our Trojan horse... And if you really want to break things off, just ask for some time apart, tell her something that gives her hope that you'll come back, that you still love her, even if it's not true." Rachel said.
"She's right. Playing by the rules won't help us with those girls." Santana agreed as Stefan nodded.
As soon as this was decided, Klaus announced that he would put the bracelets remains in a box and have a team of 5 hybrids and one witch he could trust escort it to a volcano.
The crisis had passed and now, they all had time to reflect on what was important: Love, Friendship and Family.
What do you think? Happy? Disappointed?
