Tyler was going through a rough time. He thought that Santana had forgiven him completely and that it would be easy to go through one month without sex with her or without pleasuring himself (Klaus had been too eager to compel him for this). He didn't know that he would find out that Santana was planing on wearing all of her sexier outfits that week to tempt him.

He figured that he should be happy that Klaus hadn't castrated him or that Rachel didn't cast some sort of nasty spell on him or anything...

He really tried his best to apologize to her. What a fiasco it turned out to be. He should be thankful that Alaric helped him out...

It all started when he did as she asked and sang to her in the cafeteria for lunch. She had made sure that it was packed and everybody was here... She was even taping it... Probably in case he screwed up again... He really hopped he could have chosen another song at first...

-Back to his apology moment-

Tyler had asked the band that played the music for Glee to play Forgive me, by Evanescence and he now stood in front of everybody. Rachel was next to Santana, supportive of her friend and glaring at him for daring still thinking of her in THAT way. Was it really his fault if he couldn't forget her? He decided to keep things simple:

"I know I've messed up Santana, I'm sorry... Please forgive me." He asked her before the music started and he started singing, hoping he wouldn't humiliate himself too much.

Can you forgive me again?

Tyler looked at Santana when he started singing but the fact that Rachel was sitting so close to her, an arm around her shoulder didn't help him. Was it really the right time for him to remember that he never even tried to sing an apology song to Rachel? Would ha have been able to keep her if he had?

Your my one true friend

Tyler forced his focus back on Santana, trying to send as many emotions to her through his eyes as he could. Wasn't it one of the things Rachel told him when they were dating? She always told him that the look you gave the audience while singing was one of the most important thing to moving them and if he wanted to move Santana, he needed to do his best. And I didn't mean to hurt you

Santana was surprised that Tyler had chosen such a feminine song and took it as him really wanting to choose the best song and show her how sorry he was but she couldn't help but notice that he wasn't really focused on her. The tightening in Rachel's hand, the one she had on her shoulder, showed her that her best friend and sister had noticed it too.

I felt the words fly out

Santana was immediately reminded of the scene that had caused their fight. Would she ever be able to forget that one day he moaned another woman's name? She wasn't mad at Rachel of course, she knew that her friend had never done anything to deserve this attention from Tyler and when she started dating Tyler, she knew that he was still hung up on Rachel but she had thought that it was gone now... Clearly she had been wrong.

I felt that I would die

"Yeah, because it was harder for him of course!" Caroline mumbled, rolling her eyes at the song Tyler was singing.

It hurt so much to hurt you

"Yeah, I'll make sure it hurts even more." Santana whispered so that only Caroline and Rachel could hear her.

Then you look at me

Tyler couldn't help but look at Rachel. He tried to force his eyes back on Santana but Rachel was so pretty in this light, looking mad at him. He knew that her glares were to force him to look away but he couldn't do it more than a few seconds. Of course he loved Santana, there was no doubts about it but it was possible to love two person at once right? Wasn't that what Twilight was about or something?

Your not shouting anymore

Tyler knew that the worst part was that she didn't shout at him. He couldn't help but think back to when Rachel caught him with Anna... She cried, she spoke in a broken voice but she never yelled at him... If she had, maybe they still would be together...

Your silently broken...

Tyler didn't think that Santana was broken. She was much too strong for this but he knew that his betrayal had broken Rachel. Santana would be able to forgive him, even if it cost him some pain first. Her heart wasn't too broken, because he knew that she had guarded it at first. The thought that she was guarding it because of what he did to Rachel crossed his mind and forced his eyes back to Rachel, who was now looking at Santana, ignoring his eyes on hers.

I'd give anything now

Santana didn't know what she should do now. Was she doing the right thing when she forgave him? Would she be able to make him forget about Rachel some day? There was no denying that she had fallen in love with him over time but should she risk her heart with him like Rachel had done? Maybe there was someone better for her somewhere in the world, maybe Tyler wasn't her endgame after all...

to kill those words for you

Tyler wished that there was a way for him to take back the words he had said to her. If he had been able to keep the words in, then nobody but him would know that he still had feelings for Rachel and she wouldn't be glaring at him right now. He also knew that Klaus would be hard on him now, he would always keep an eye out for him and he might even punish him a little... He knew he deserved it but it didn't stop him from hoping something super magical would happen to make everyone forget what he had said.

Each time I say something I regret I cry

It didn't make him cry to hurt Santana... He needed to hide from her that the only girl he ever cried for was Rachel. He hoped that his mother would never mention walking in on him crying after Rachel definitely broke up with him. He knew that Matt had given his word to keep it to himself, because he was a good friend and a good brother. Would his mother let it out? He needed to remember to talk to her about keeping it a secret.

I don't wanna lose you

One thing Tyler was sure of was that he didn't want to lose Santana. He managed to look back to her when he sang this and the angry look in her eyes told him that she had noticed his staring at Rachel. He would finish the song of course but he knew that he would have some more fixing to do. He needed to find an excuse, like a spider making her wed right behind Rachel's head or something.

But somehow I know you'll never leave me
Yeah

Of course she wouldn't leave him. Tyler knew that Santana loved him and was, deep down, afraid of finding herself all alone in her new long life. She wanted to have someone by her side just like Rachel had Klaus...their sire, the man they owed everything to... He knew that he shouldn't envy him for having Rachel but he did.

Cause you were made for me
Somehow I'll make you see
How happy you make

Everyone who cared to listen to Tyler noticed how he didn't look at Santana when singing this verse but looked at Rachel. Rachel was the only one who hadn't noticed. She was determined to forget about Tyler looking at her. She was determined to ignore him until he decided to forget any feelings he could possibly have for her that weren't friendship. She had looked for a spell that could help him but every spell that she found that influenced love was referenced as being dark or close to dark magic. They always had too important consequences and she couldn't risk it, it wouldn't be right. Tyler needed to find a way to forget her on his own.

I can't live this life
Without you by my side

Santana looked up once more, tears in her eyes and anger going through her entire body. She didn't know if she should give up on him or give him another chance. Would she just turn into another one of those girls who kept on forgiving their jackass boyfriend out of love or would Tyler eventually love her again?

I need you to survive
So stay with me

Santana couldn't help but feel that Tyler was sincere when he sung this to her. He really wanted for her to stay with him. Maybe there was hope for him after all... But she would definitely hurt him first.

You look at me and I'm screaming inside
That I'm sorry

"What are you going to do?" Caroline asked Santana, knowing that she could very well go in two direction right now.

And you forgive me again

"I'm going to give him another chance...eventually... He'll need to fight for me a bit more first... He'll remember this and he'll suffer, trust me." Santana replied, erasing her tears with the tissue that Rachel was handing her.

Your my one true friend
And I didn't mean to hurt you

Rachel had done her best to ignore Tyler the entire time he had looked at her but she couldn't help but feel like he was singing this song to her, about their own relationship. She decided that ignoring that she noticed was the best way to do it? She needed to do her best to help Santana keep Tyler because she loved him and Rachel knew that deep down, Tyler loved Santana too.

As the music stopped and Tyler looked expectantly at Santana, the Latino hybrid rose and marched toward him. She bent closer to him and whispered in his ear:

"I saw everything...I know this song wasn't just for me... You'll have to do better than this if you want to convince me to give you another chance."

Then she walked off, leaving Tyler alone.

After that Tyler had gone to the bleachers to think and Alaric had joined him.

"I saw you while you sung... It wasn't that bad if we forget the fact that you looked at Rachel most of the time..." Alaric told him.

"I'm trying... I really love Santana... It's not my fault if I can't forget Rachel..." Tyler tried to explain weakly.

"I think you should sing another song to Santana this afternoon in Glee...and give her flowers...with chocolate...and maybe jewelry..." Alaric suggested.

"Really? You have a good song idea?" The desperate hybrid asked.

"Yes, do. Now come on, let's practice." Alaric told him.

.

Once everyone was sitting in Glee, Alaric announced that before they started brainstorming for ideas for their Regional's performance, Tyler had something special to sing. The young man entered the room with a big bouquet of good smelling flowers and a box of fancy chocolate that he gave to Santana before the music started and he started singing 'So Sorry' by Feist.

I'm sorry
Two words I always think
After you've gone
When I realize I was acting all wrong

"Well, at least he acknowledges it." Caroline whispered to Stefan.

"I know that Rachel didn't come today to make it easier for the two of them. She felt it would have been harder for him and decided to invent an important doctor appointment." Stefan replied so low that only Caroline heard him.

So selfish
Two words that could describe
Oh actions of mine
When patience is in short supply

Santana was happier. This song was much more appropriate for the situation. She guessed that he had gotten some help from Alaric and she was thankful. She was also glad that Rachel wasn't encouraging his attentions and that she didn't come this afternoon. It was easier for her to give Tyler a second chance when he wasn't staring longingly at her best friend, her sister.

We don't need to say goodbye
We don't need to fight and cry
Oh we, we could hold each other tight tonight

"Fat chance." Santana said out low in a sarcastic tone.

Tyler would have to sleep alone for a long time. He wouldn't get any loving time for her for a while. He needed to suffer a bit physically so he didn't do it again. Wasn't that why you slapped on the end children who touched what they shouldn't touch? It was just her way of slapping him.

We're so helpless
We're slaves to our impulses
We're afraid of our emotions

So Tyler was blaming it on their heightened emotions? Could it really excuse his behavior?

And no one knows where the shore is
We're divided by the ocean
And the only thing I know is
That the answer isn't for us
No the answer isn't for us

So what should she do now? Sure, the flowers where pretty and smelled nice. The chocolate were also her favorite but accepting them and forgiving him right away was sending off the wrong message. She needed to stick to her initial plan and be strong about it or else he would do it again later and hurt her more every time.

I'm sorry
Two words I always think
Oh after you've gone
When I realize I was acting all wrong

Tyler was sincere and everyone could see it. Santana knew it too. But she wouldn't let him off the hook anyway. She needed to be strong and show him that she wasn't some helpless girl he could play with.

We don't need to say goodbye
We don't need to fight and cry
We, we could hold each other tight tonight
Tonight, Tonight, Tonight, Tonight

Nobody clapped when it was over. They all turned expectantly toward Santana, waiting for her next move.

"The flowers are pretty and they smell very good. The chocolates happen to be among my favorites and I did enjoy this song more... I can give you another chance but you're not off the hook. What I said earlier... it still holds... There will be nothing between us but small pecks on the lips for at least a month. And next time you do what you did, I'll be kicking you so hard in the balls that you'll need a testicle retrieval operation." Santana replied, doing her best to look stronger than she actually felt.

Tyler knew that deep down she was really hurt and that it would take time for her to trust him completely again. She was acting strong but deep down, she just wanted someone to hug her and tell her that it would all be okay. He nodded and went to hug her quickly before he sat next to her and let Alaric speak about the Regionals and what they needed to think about.

He would need to work hard on it, but he knew that he could put Rachel in the back of his mind and concentrate on Santana and their relationship. He could do it.

.

Rachel was nervous.

She finally got her audition date for NYADA in the mail and Carmen Thibodaux herself was coming to Mystic Fall's to see her.

"I need to be perfect Klaus. No, forget that, I need to be more than perfect. I need to impress this woman so much that she'll have my performance engraved in her memory for the rest of her life. I need her to want me to join her school like I need air to breathe!" Rachel told him after he advised her to calm down and rest a little.

"I know that Love and I'm confident that you will. But you have to admit that you won't impress anyone if you're too tired to let out a note. Come on, you've been rehearsing Don't rain on my parade your entire life, you'll be perfect." Klaus replied softly.

"You're right... But maybe I'm playing it a bit too safe with this song... I might need to choose another one..." Rachel replied thoughtfully as she went to sit by his side.

"The audition is tomorrow afternoon... Do you think you can have another song ready without exhausting yourself?" He asked her while pulling her into his arms.

"Of course I can... Will you be there?" She asked him.

"You know I will, along with your father, Rebekah, Caroline, Santana, a few members of the council, Elijah... Sage and Finn are even coming back in time to cheer you on. You won't be alone Love." He told her.

"What if I choke?" She asked him, worried.

"You won't choke Love. You know who you are and who you want to be. NYADA is the best way for you to get there. Even if by accident you don't get in this time, I know you'll try again and again until you get in. And you will." He replied.

"I love you Klaus, I hope you know that." Rachel told him.

"I love you too. Now come on, let's go and eat something before I have to get you home." Klaus suggested, standing them both up and guiding her toward the dining room.

.

The next day, Rachel felt more than ready when she stepped into the school's auditorium. She was about half an hour early but she wanted that time to get ready some more. For the occasion, she wore a simple but classy black and gold dress.

She started with the usual vocal warm-ups, then, she noticed Klaus and her father coming in. They weren't alone but she guessed that the others were just the other members of her extended family or some of her friends.

"Before Misses Thibodaux gets here, this is for you Klaus." Rachel announced before she beautifully sang "My Man" from Funny Girls.

Klaus was in awe of her voice and he was touched that she would sing this for him. He had noticed Carmen Thibodaux coming in the auditorium behind him and Damon, lead in by the mayor, his wife and a few members of the founder's council, eager to see 'one of their own' accepted into one of the best schools in New York.

Rachel gave everything she had to show to Klaus just how much she loved him and as she hit the last note perfectly, only then did she notice that Carmen Thibodaux was sitting in front of her.

"Misses Thibodaux, I'm sorry, I didn't know you were here already..." Rachel apologised.

"I was early Miss Salvatore. You did this difficult song justice. Was it your audition song?" The woman of power asked her.

"No, I was going to sing 'Being good isn't good enough', if that's okay with you." Rachel replied.

"You go ahead young lady. Somehow I don't think you'll have troubles with this song." The black woman replied with a polite smile as she got her notebook out to write down her comments on Rachel's show.

The music started and Rachel started to sing. She concentrated not on the fact that the future she had dreamt of for so long was depending on this presentation but on her father and Klaus being here, along with her Aunt Sage being on the phone with Rebekah, listening to her.

When Rachel finished the song singing "I'll be the best, or nothing at all." all the people who came to see her clapped. Carmen Thibodaux stayed professional and simply closed her notebook and rose to her feet, bringing silence into the room.

"Somehow Miss Salvatore, I don't think you'll have a problem with being the best. Congratulations, you'll receive your official acceptance letter soon. Good day to you." Carmen said with a small, professional but appreciative, smile.

"Thank you! Thank you so much!" Rachel exclaimed with tears in her eyes.

As soon as Carmen was out of the auditorium, everybody exploded in cheers once more.

Stefan, who had been sitting next to his brother, joined in on the congratulations and within the hour, the entire school and most of the town knew that Rachel Salvatore had been accepted in NYADA and had been congratulated by the great Carmen Thibodaux herself. Needless was to say that Rachel was very proud and very happy. She couldn't remember being happier in her life and in that moment, the fact that Katherine was still on the run and was still working against her didn't matter. She didn't want to think about this.

To congratulate her, Alaric told Rachel that she would sing the lead in their fast coming Regional competition.

.

When Regional's came, less than 1 week after Rachel passed her audition, Mystic Fall's Glee club was ready.

That started with Buenos Aires, Rachel sang the lead in this one and she amazed everyone with her dancing abilities in flamenco. After that, they sang ABC and everyone got to sing a little something in this one before they finished with Control, sang by Santana and Tyler as leads and everybody else as chorus.

They weren't surprised to hear that they had won and that they would compete at Nationals in Chicago but they still were very happy. The other teams were good too and it had scared them for a moment.

"Rachel, you'll never believe what Brittany just texted me. Kurt auditioned for NYADA too, Carmen Thibodaux was in Lima this afternoon and he completely blew it. He completely over did it. He sang the song from Phantom of the Opera and everyone told him that he had put too many candles in the auditorium, that he was using too many props but he ignored them all... She didn't appreciate at all... Since they are going to nationals too and Misses Thibodaux will be in town at the same time, he's hoping that she'll show up to give him another chance." Santana told Rachel on the bus that drove them back home for their celebratory party.

"Well, I'm not worried... Kurt has a way of always overdoing it and under doing it at the same time. He's not a star and he refuses to do what he needs to do to become one." Rachel replied.

"And you're not bitter about him never giving you a chance in friendship or anything..." Santana smiled.

"Well, sure it would have been nice to have him as my gay best friend but he never accepted me... I think that deep down he hated me because of my talent... He was always jealous... He didn't see that I could have helped him rise to the top too." Rachel replied.

"I think you're right." Santana agreed.

"Well, anyway, we'll see who's the best after Nationals." Rachel concluded.

I hope you liked it... The last few chapters were a bit of a transitional passage but now we're back to trouble...

Who is looking for trouble? What do they have planed and is this the end for Rachel and her loved ones? Will somebody die? All I can tell you is that there will be a use of coffin...

This chapter is much longer than it initially was... I added the Tyler part at the last minute... I was going to put it later in the story as a flashback but I figured that its place was right there... What did you think?

Don't forget to review!

I just added an entire page of storyline... This story is never going to end... I'm weak... I can't end it, I keep getting new ideas...
