A couple of days passed and Bonnie's plan was working well. Her mother really believed that she was sorry and she had convinced her that they needed a day to bond, just the two of them. Against her mother's best judgment, Abby accepted.

After spending the day shopping and laughing, they were eating in a small coffee shop when Bonnie decided that the right time came:

"So mom, I was wondering...How did you do it, incapacitate Mickeal like you did? It must have been pretty hard... I mean, he was a strong vampire..." Bonnie asked, doing her best to look innocent and simply curious.

"Oh, it wasn't easy... I first had to cast a spell on 4 vampires I found so they did as I asked them, then I had a member of the council inject vervain in Mickeal to weaken him a bit. After that I desiccated him." Abby replied.

"Desiccated? How did you do that?" Bonnie asked again, trying to look nonchalant and not too interested.

"It was very dark magic Bonnie and I'm not proud of it... I had to stop a human heart..." Abby said before she went into more details, telling Bonnie everything she needed to know, even where to find the book where she got the spell.

As soon as her mother was out of earshot, Bonnie called Katherine and Elena and told them everything she had learned.

"That's great, I'll get my witch on it. We should be able to take him down in a couple of days." Katherine replied, a huge smile on her face.

"I can't wait for it to happen... Then Stefan will be able to come back to me!" Elena exclaimed with a big smile on her face, not seeing Katherine rolling her eyes.

The minute Elena would stop being of use, Katherine was planning on killing her and taking her life over. Her brother would be hers, her aunt would be hers, her room, her high school diploma, her boyfriend... Katherine will take over everything in her doppelganger's life.

Katherine had done a good job on her witch and her vampires. She couldn't even believe that Elena decided to use Jeremy for the ritual as the human that would die. Sure, he had his ring that might bring him back to life but still, it was some serious family back stabbing and Katherine was kind of proud to know that she was the one who inspired this behaviour in her doppelganger.

She knew that Rachel was planning on spending the day with her father and her uncle outside of Mystic Fall's, she made sure they left before putting her plan in motion. Santana and Tyler were working on their couple at his place, Rebekah and Caroline where shopping out of town, Elijah took Kol out of town so they could spend some time together and bond... Basically, Klaus was on his own, planning on painting until Rachel came back and it was perfect for Katherine.

She made sure everyone was out of town before she gave everyone the signal to advance.

Elena went to ring the door bell of the Mickealson mansion. Since Katherine had made sure that all the Hybrids in town were either killed or distracted, Klaus went to open it on his own.

"Elena Gilbert, to what do I owe the displeasure of this visit?" Klaus asked her, staying inside, which wasn't in Katherine's plan.

She needed him to step outside. She knew that Rachel had put a spell on the house so that nobody, human or supernatural, could come inside without being invited by Klaus himself so they needed him to step out on his own so they could jump on him.

"Listen Klaus, I've lost a lot these past few months and..." Elena started.

"Whose fault is that?" Klaus interrupted her.

"I know I deserve it... I shouldn't have listened to Katherine... I came here because...well, I was wondering if maybe you could help me..." Elena made sure to have her best innocent face on, just like they had planed initially.

"You really think I would help you after what you did to Rachel? But I'm curious, what do you need my help with and what are you willing to give me in exchange for it?" Klaus asked her and Katherine smiled when she noticed that he was only a tiny inch away from being outside.

"Katherine wants to kill me. If you help me and protect me against her, I'm willing to let you have my blood again... A few bags...3, maybe 5 if we don't take them the same day..." Elena suggested, following the lines Katherine had given her.

"Well, you really want this don't you? Unfortunately for you, I don't care about your blood anymore Elena. I don't need it, I have Rachel." Klaus told her.

"What?" Elena asked.

This wasn't part of the plan. Katherine was so sure that Klaus would accept... They were both so sure that he would want her blood... Who knew that love would change him so much? What was she going to do now?

"W-What do you want then?" Elena asked him, trying to improvise the best she could, hoping her ancestor wouldn't be mad at her.

"I want you to finally grow up and learn to behave. I want you to stay out of Rachel's business and to stop trying to ruin her life because of some petty jealousy." Klaus replied as he finally stepped out of his house, taking one step towards Elena, planning on scaring his will into her.

"And I win."

Klaus heard a voice he knew say from the side.

He turned around to see Katherine injecting something into him quickly. He pulled it out and pushed her away only to feel weakened. It must have been some super concentrated vervain. He knew that he should step back inside but he felt that Katherine was about to run again. Killing her now would keep Rachel safe and it was his priority so instead of running to his safety, which was what he usually did, he stood up as straight as he could and prepared for a fight against the four vampires that were now surrounding him.

After being pushed away, Katherine stood up to see that Elena was backing away from the fight about to take place. Klaus looked pissed and determined. Katherine knew that she had seen things right. Klaus wouldn't run to safety this time. He wanted to have her killed for ever threatening the life of Rachel. She knew that Klaus' love for Rachel was the key to her success.

Her sired vampires jumped on Klaus and after a few minutes, the original hybrid was growing tired because of the vervain and they were able to keep him down long enough for her to make a connection between his blood and the witch. Elena joined her and they both watched as Klaus started desiccating, with one last word on his lips.

"Rachel..." Klaus faintly said before he was completely out of it and unable to move.

"What now?" Elena asked her dear ancestor.

"Now? Now we hide him very far away from here." Katherine replied with a smirk as she watched with satisfaction the horror in Klaus' eyes.

So, what's the verdict?

Will They find Klaus? Will they come in time to save him or will Katherine manage to hide him far away?
