Katherine was listening carefully to what Qetsiyah was telling her.

The deal was simple really. She was to do her best to act like the first ever of her line of Doppelganger, the original one, Amara. It wasn't an easy task because she would have to convince Silas that she was this girl but if she succeeded, she would get to come back to life and she'd be able to get her revenge on those who killed her. Once Silas was convinced she's Amara, she'd need to take the cure, making her human again and force it down Silas's throat. Then she'd have to kill him.

After that, Katherine would get her life back, Qetsiyah had been clear:

"Once Silas is dead, you'll be alive again. I promise you.".

Of course Katherine wasn't stupid, she understood that once she took the cure she'd be human but nothing prevented her from drinking vampire blood later and become a vampire once more. Then she'd be able to go back to getting her revenge on Klaus and this time she'd add Elijah and Damon and Rachel Salvatore to her little plan. She would win. They would lose. She was sure of it and all she had to do was to manage to act like this Amara girl.

"What about him? I mean, I have to know what he looks like so I'm not surprised when I see him, right?" Katherine asked the old witch after a while.

"It's quite easy. Your old flame Stefan is his doppelganger." She smirked.

"What? How?" Katherine was shocked.

"It's destiny that united you. Sadly it's by your own will that you screwed it up. Then he found Elena and once again you screwed it up... Well, I guess she did her part... I've seen the life path of over 200 doppelganger pairs over the past two millenniums and I've seen it happen over and over again. They always end up getting together and something always happens to separate them. Most of the time the girl screws things up for everyone."

"So I was right, Stefan is meant to be mine then." Katherine smiled widely.

"No, he's meant to be free of you and all Amara look alikes, finally. And once Silas is dead, there won't be any more doppelgangers born. Everything will be right again." Qetsiyah smiled before she sent an electrical shock to remind Katherine to behave like Amara.

Sighting, the Petrova doppelganger went back to doing her best. Already, a plan was forming in her head. Once her job was done, she's guilt Elijah into changing her, then she'd get rid of him and after that she'd be free to work on getting Stefan back. She was confident now that she would be able to get her way.

Shane was in his cell in Mystic Fall's and would be transferred in a bigger city soon. He knew that if he wanted to escape he had to do it during the transfer. Once he's in a maximum security prison it would be too late.

He prayed hard for an occasion to run, a chance to escape. He had to find a way. He didn't have a choice.

He didn't really have time to think about the other sacrifices but he had done the first one and he knew that Silas would be happy with him. The freshly awaken immortal be able to take care of the other two on his own.

Liz nervously took her phone and called Damon. She knew that he was having dinner with the Mickealson's and she had to warn them all before they learned it from TV and it was too late.

Damon hung up. As soon as his phone rang he had walked outside so he didn't disrupt everyone who was talking and having a good time but the grim look on his face as he walked back was enough to get them all to stop what they were doing and to look at him questioningly.

"What's wrong Damon?" Rebekah asked him.

"Daddy?" Rachel asked him, worried.

"It was Liz. Shane escaped prison during his transfer. They got a flat tire and he managed to knock the guards out and to run through the woods. They haven't found him yet." He declared.

"He can always find other witches and I'm sure he can contact other hunters... We need to worry about what he's going to do." Rachel sighted.

They were just starting to think of what Shanes was going to do when Kol got a call on his cell phone. Shane cornered Jeremy and asked him to trigger his Hunter's curse earlier and when Jeremy refused, Shane knocked him out before he ran. The young Gilbert called to warn his friends.

"Tell him to get Alaric to stay with them." Damon advised.

"No need, the man already lives with them. He just wanted to let us know." Kol replied after he hung up.

"We know he's going to try and go find Silas on his own. We should follow him there." Rachel decided.

"This close to graduation?" Santana asked.

"We still have about a few days before graduation and we know nothing major is going to happen now. I can do a tracking spell to find him. While he was in jail Liz got a bit of his blood for me. I wanted to be sure we had everything on our side. I can follow him. We can stop him." Rachel informed them.

They all talked and argued about it for a while but they ended up decided to go and do what Rachel had decided. They called Finn and Sage who would come back to town for the time they were gone, to keep it safe along with Tyler, Kol and Santana while everyone else would follow Shane. Finn and Sage were already planning on coming back for Rachel's graduation so it wasn't a big change for them, they just came a bit earlier than planned.

It wouldn't be easy, but they would do it, they were united and strong enough, they knew it.
