*Three months later*

Everything is going better step by step. Adrien and his father talk more and are going to therapy. Which has helped them over the last months to better understand each other and being better at communication. Adrien still models but less frequently because he does enjoy it. He also still plays the piano, learns Chinese and fences because he likes those activities but also less frequent. He has more time for himself and he is enjoying that while spending it hanging out with his friends or doing something on his own. His father is giving his friends a chance and tries to at least have either dinner or breakfast with Adrien everyday but sometimes it just doesn't work. That is okay. Not everything will work out immediately. They also try to at least every month do a father/son day or at least a few hours like playing the piano or watching one of his mothers movies together. They are not that frequent but they are little steps and Adrien is very happy with them. His father has also agreed that Adrien can keep going to school as long as his grades don't go down because of it. He also doesn't have to have lunch with Maylena but Adrien decides to do have lunch with her to tell her that even though Marinette shouldn't have made her fall on the ground. Maylena should have taken no for an answer and shouldn't have acted the way she did. Maylena seems to have gotten a talk from her manager, she agreed and apologized for her behaviour. She also said she wished to apologize to Marinette and Adrien talked with Marinette about it and Marinette agreed to have Adrien give her phone number to Maylena. Maylena apologized to Marinette and Marinette apologized to her. Hopefully with that, that story has ended.

Maylena is not the only one with who Adrien has had a talk with. He also has had a talk with his childhood friend Chloe. He has known Chloe for a long time and he knows she can be nice. He also doesn't want to just throw their friendship away without given her a chance to be nicer to others. After all there were many moments where Chloe has helped him when they were little. But he can't stand by and watch as Chloe makes fun of his friends. So he told her that he wouldn't ignore that anymore and that if she wants to stay friends that she needs to be nicer. Not only to him but to everyone around her. They are all equals and she doesn't have to like them but she should treat them with respect. She will see that the others will also act different to her than. She seems to have gotten it this time, hopefully. He also made it clear, because he might have not said it out loud before, that he has no romantic interest in her. That he is sorry but they will never be more than friends. Chloe of course at first was angry after they had this talk and was upset. But after she had a few days to calm down and think about it she said she would try. Because she didn't want to lose Adrien. She also said she loves him very much and doesn't want to lose him to anyone else. He told her that she doesn't own him and that he makes his own choices. She agrees that she doesn't own him but said that she does feel how she feels and feels jealous. Adrien thinks she might not really like him the way she says but more because of his image. But he decides to not say anything about it because he cannot read Chloe's mind. It seems that she understood the message and that she is going to try to give him up and act nicer. But from experience Adrien knows that you cannot just stop loving the one you love, like with ladybug. He also knows that Chloe wouldn't suddenly transform into an angel. But it is about trying and little steps. Adrien even invited her to meet his therapist. To maybe see if it was something she would like to try. Adrien has hope for his future with Chloe.

That is not all what happened in these past months. In these past months Marinette and he have gotten closer. Not only as Marinette and Adrien but also as Chat Noir and Ladybug. Knowing each other's identities has it perks. For once it makes working together much easier. Adrien has taken steps to figuring out what he really likes doing and how he really feels. He tries new things on his own, or with someone else like with Marinette. He enjoys baking together with her even though he is not that good at it. Sometimes even her parents help them make something. Marinette and him have been spending more time with each other than ever before. Not only in their superhero ego's. They have had long talks together about how they feel about the whole superhero business, about who they think they were or are, about how others think about them and how becoming a superhero has changed them. Adrien learned that Marinette also had problems with figuring out who she really was but much less than Adrien. She has helped him with it like she promised and he has also talked about it with his therapist. Though he did alter the story a little since he didn't want her to know he was Chat Noir. They didn't only talk or bake but also went out doing fun things. Sometimes with just the two of them or with their friends. Adrien found that as he spend more time with Marinette and got to know her better Ladybug and Marinette weren't that different after all. Especially after she has gotten less shy, clumsy and awkward around him. She can talk normally to him although sometimes she still stutters but Adrien doesn't mind. It is a part of her. Something special that sets her apart. He wonders if he will ever have that he doesn't act different as Chat Noir as he does as Adrien. Marinette says he has to give it time and act how he finds comfortable. In the end they started dating without even noticing they were really dating. Alya and Nino brought it up. They asked if they wanted to go on a double date and Marinette and Adrien blushed. They hadn't really thought about it like that but they were attracted to each other and in the end they decided that they would like to give dating a try.

Right now Adrien is walking down the stairs of the school with Marinette next to him and they are holding hands. School is done for today and they are heading towards Marinette's house.

''Adriekens!'' Chloe says as she waves to catch Adrien's attention and walks towards him when he turns his head. ''Since every Friday afternoon you are free now why don't we go out for some ice cream?'' She asks him.

''Sorry Chloe I already have plans with Marinette today.'' He gestures at Marinette who is standing next to him. '' How about next week?'' Adrien asks.

Chloe pouts and it seems she wants to disagree and say something nasty as she glances at Marinette but she holds her tongue and takes a deep breath. ''Okay have fun. Next Friday is fine.''

Adrien smiles and waves her a goodbye.

It is not going that smooth but at least she is trying to be nicer and for now that is good enough. After all it all starts with trying doesn't it?

''Are you ready to lose?'' Adrien asks Marinette with a playful smile.

''You wish.'' She challenges back.

''Pawlease. I think I have a big chance my lady, after all I played this game so many times while you have not even played it once.'' Adrien explains.

''Purrhaps but that is cheating. I will show you that it will not matter since I will still beat you.''

They both start to laugh and look each other into the eyes. They start leaning closer towards each other until they lock lips. They are so caught up in the moment that they don't notice anything around them. Not even the sound of a phone making a noise that indicates a picture is being made. Alya giggles from behind a bush. She has learned a lot from Marinette's stalker habits. Nino is behind her.

''I am so proud of Marinette.'' Alya cheers.

''Finally.'' Nino says. ''I thought it would never happen.''

I know what you wanna say but that kiss was planned way in the beginning and I did not want to leave it out. If it seemed rushed or ooc I am sorry but let's just say character development = time skip. The third part about Marinette's and Adrien's relationship progression was the hardest to write. Sorry if it seems weird. But this ship was endgame from the beginning. I think with this there are no really lose ends anymore but if I missed something or if you have questions just tell me or ask them. I do hope you enjoyed this last chapter because I really tried my best.

I want to thank you all for reading, reviewing, following and favoriting this story. It has been more than two years and to be honest I never thought it would take this long for me to write this or that this story would have so many chapters and be so long. I can remember that I said at chapter 6 50% was done. Well that turned out to be a big lie. Writing this story brought me much joy even though sometimes I felt frustrated and I hope you guys enjoyed reading it. I am both sad and glad that the story is now finally finished. Normally the epilouge is supposed to be short isn't it? Well this turned out to be the longest chapter in this whole fanfic. Also if you are wondering, the game they are going to play is the game Adrien bought during their date.
