Outtake: Mayu's Arc Part 1
I am Mayu Yuuki, 15 years old, turning 16 tomorrow; I go to the Maihara High School. I don't really have friends, people are afraid of me at school since my family is the head of the Japanese Mafia group named Golden Scale Dragon. I get driven and picked up from school in a limousine by members of the Mafia. I didn't really want that, I just want to go to school and leave school like any other person, I also want to fall in love normally but my Father disapproves all of them. There's no point in arguing with him, he always comes out on top, he just doesn't want me to embarrass him. Today he said he wanted to talk about something important, I wonder what he wants.
"Milady, we're almost there" said the driver who sat in front of Mayu.
"Isn't today the day?" the bodyguard who sat beside the driver whispered to him.
"I believe so" he replied.
"What are you two talking about?" Mayu asked.
"N-Nothing milady"
Mayu puffed up her cheek with annoyance. What is happening today?
The driver pulled into the car park, the bodyguard assisted the young lady out of the limousine.
"Your father will be waiting for you in his office"
"Alright"
They entered the elevator in the car park and pressed on floor: 35. They soon arrived on floor: 35 a door awaited them a few steps in front.
The bodyguard opened door to let Mayu through and stayed outside to shut the door behind her, the room had a golden shine to it and a mid-aged man in a black suit sat at his desk on the opposite side of the room. His hair was slightly grey and his body was fairly sized.
A woman who wore a white dress which looked very expensive from Mayu view was seated in the waiting area in the centre of the room. Her hair was pure black and her body was slim.
"Hello father, hello mother." Mayu greeted her parents.
"Hello Mayu, now come sit with me" said her mother as she patted the empty spot beside her. Mayu took the offer and sat beside her mother.
"It's time" her father started, "Mayu… you're going to be engaged"
"What?!" Mayu immediately stood up with both surprise and anger.
"You will be engaged with Tanaki Kousaka of the Kousaka group. This is will form a strong bond between our groups"
Knock. Knock. The door opened, a young man in a black suit stood in the doorway and beside him was another mid-aged man much like her father.
"Ahh… speak of the devil, I was just informing her about you"
"Thank you kind sir" said the young man, "Allow me to introduce myself, I am Tanaki Kousaka the heir of the Kousaka group and this is my father-"
"It's alright, we are well acquainted already" his father interrupted, "Isn't that right Genji" Mayu's father gave a nod in return.
"Is that so?"
"Anyway Mr Kousaka and I have something to discuss, so why don't you two go and have your own chat in the room next door, we will call you once we're done" suggested her father.
"Yes sir" replied Tanaki politely.
Mayu attempted to disagree, "But-"
"Enough! Just go!" her father yelled.
She forcefully followed Tanaki into the next room. The room contained only a table and two chairs in the centre.
Mayu soon realised the purpose of the room. A private room?
They were alone; Mayu suddenly felt a cold chill down her spine.
"You're more beautiful than they say…" complimented Tanaki.
"T-Thanks, you're forced into this too right?"
"In a way yes," Mayu let a sigh and a small smile out upon hearing it, "but at the same time no, I straight up accepted when my father mentioned it"
Her smile dropped, anger and frustration filled her up, "What? So you just accepted it?!"
"Well, of course, not every day can I get to have such a beautiful fiancé" he said as he swiped his hand down her face, caressing her pale skin. Mayu shivered and slapped his hand away.
She took a step back, "Get away from me!"
"Aggressive huh? I like it" upon saying that, he suddenly embraced her with all his strength. She pushed his body with all her strength, but he didn't show any sign of movement.
"Get… off… me!"
"Why so shy? We're going to be married soon anyway"
"No!"
She eventually punched him in the face which caused him to fall towards the table and he hit the side of the table just avoiding the corner which created a loud bang!
The two fathers rushed into the room and soon Mayu's mother. Mayu was in a corner covering her mouth and Tanaki covered his bruised forehead.
"What is the meaning of this?!" yelled Tanaki's father as he assisted his son up.
"I'm terribly sorry" said Genji as he bowed.
The two stomped out of the room and said, "We won't forget this"
After they left, Genji slapped Mayu across the face leaving a red mark on her left cheek. She immediately placed her hand onto her cheek to relieve the sting.
"Do you realise what you have done?" he said in a harsh tone.
"He was going to-"
"I don't care!"
Mayu's eyes widened as much as they could, she just heard that her father doesn't care what was going to happen to her.
"Genji, that's a bit harsh for harsh"
"Shut up!"
She held in the tears and ran out of the room, "Mayu!" Mayu heard her mother call out to her.
But she continued down the elevator and out the front door of the building.
She hid in an alleyway and cried away. She calmed down after an hour went past. She decided to hide at a hotel using the money she had in her credit card. She planned to hide there until her family and her-self calmed down.
As she walked down the street towards the hotel, she noticed a road side repair was occurring; she walked along the side of the fencing. As she did a young boy which looked like a student guided her to the other side, his long orange fringe covered half his face as he guided her.
She arrived at the hotel and set up a room, since they didn't allow people under the age of 18, she lied using her unusual height of a 15 year old to her advantage. The room was set up but the day was still long, she decided to take a walk outside until night.
Another hour went by; Mayu was still on her long walk to clear her mind. But suddenly, she felt like her stomach was going to burst, she needed to go to the toilet immediately; she spotted a hospital and rushed into it while she held onto her stomach.
She left the female toilet after ten or so minutes, as she was leaving, looking around the hallway, she noticed a girl with fascinating long red hair in a ward, and the name written on the name plate of the door was: Yui Madoka. She entered the ward and approached slowly and quietly.
As she approached, she realised that the girl didn't move an inch even though the footsteps she made were obvious.
"A friend of Yui's?"
"Huh?" Mayu turned to the source of the voice, a young nurse stood at the doorway watching, "U-Um…"
"How nice of you; she doesn't get much visitors other than her mother"
Mayu remained speechless; she couldn't say that she doesn't know her upon hearing that.
She approached to the opposite side of the bed and spoke to the red headed girl, "Yui, a friend of yours has come to see you"
The nurse lifted the girl to sit up and face Mayu. Is she… paralysed? She thought.
"H-Hi…" Mayu greeted.
The girl remained to looked at Mayu with no expression, no sadness, no happiness, just a plain expression like that of a doll's.
"I'll leave you two alone, enjoy your stay" said the nurse as she left the ward.
Mayu made sure the nurse was gone before she started, "I-I'm Mayu, sorry I just happen to see your hair while I was leaving, and I just couldn't help but take a closer look"
The girl was silent, Mayu didn't know what else to say, she didn't know if the girl was grateful or annoyed of her unexpected appearance.
Maybe I should leave now, I'm sure she doesn't feel comfortable seeing a stranger.
"A-Anyway, I'll be taking me leave now" said Mayu as she walked to the doorway and turned back to see her one last time before she headed back to the hotel.
After about an hour or so, she arrived back at the hotel. She dived onto her bed and stared at the blank ceiling. I should go back tomorrow; I hope he's changed by tomorrow. She drifted to sleep…
The morning soon came, she packed up and left. Step by step, she walked slowly back home, unsure whether her father has calmed down or not. Today was her birthday, he should know that.
