A/N: Another chapter out of the timeline. A little late for Halloween, but hopefully you still enjoy it.

"Why are we here again?" Jon groaned when he saw the mass of people inside the park.

Colby beside him snickered and Joe turned around and tried to explain this to Jon for the fifth time tonight and he was running out of patience.

"Because my little 7 year old, innocent girl wants to visit this haunted house for Halloween and I have to make sure beforehand that it is not too scary for her. She is a sensitive child."

Jon looked at Joe. He just stared at the big guy who wore a beanie tonight just like Colby. Jon bet that they still would be recognized before they left the park.

"Are you sure we are not here for your benefit?" Colby asked and this time the big Samoan looked at Colby. Just looked at him.

"So that you won't scream like a little girl in there in front of your daughter?" Jon added.

Now Roman tried to stink eye them both.

"You are both assholes." he finally said and Jon and Colby looked at each other and grinned.

"That is why we took the time off, remember? Because you were constantly ganging up on me." Joe complained talking about the Shield split up earlier this year. If someone would see them together out here...well WWE would not like that very much.

"Oh not that old story again. I was not making fun of you when I put the lube in your conditioner." Jon tried and Colby had to put his hand in front of his mouth to hide a grin.

"You even said your hair was never so soft." It was a mystery to Colby how Jon could keep up such a straight face when Joe was clearly pissed just being remembered of the event.

"You told me like a minute before we walked through the crowd!" Joe roared.

Now Jon grinned. "No one noticed, trust me." he clapped Joes back encouragingly.

"And you think this is funny?" Joe shot at Colby.

"It was his lube." Jon answered dryly for his friend and now the long haired men both shoot daggers at his back as Jon walked up to the haunted house to read what it was about.

"It says 6 years and above." he called out to Joe.

"It need to check it out." the big guy pressed out.

Colby studied him. Joe's shoulders were tense now and he was constantly brushing his left hand over his right wrist, just like in the ring before the superman punch.

"You know you can't knock anyone out in the, right?" Colby asked softly.

"I know that alright? Just let us get this over with so we can grab those beers and really start our evening out."

"I am all in for the beer." Jon piped up.

The three men formerly known as the Shield gathered up at the entrance.

"We can do this, right?" Joe asked them and extended his fist. Colby was fast to add his fist but Jon rolled his eyes.

"I swear if we get flocked by teenagers tonight I am going to kick your asses." but he added his fist for the symbol of excellence.

"Let's do this." Jon said, put his hands in his pockets and waited for Colby to go first.

The architect of the former Shield just stared at Joe.

"You go first obviously." he told the powerhouse and Joe pouted but opened the door.

Colby and Jon exchanged a quick glance. They snickered like little boys. They knew full well the big guy was afraid of this. This was going to be so much fun.

"What are you doing?" Jon whispered when Colby started to take something out of his pocket.

"This is going to be hilarious. I am going to film it."

He pointed his mobile phone on Joes back and proceeded into the haunted house with Jon in tow.

The door closed behind the three men with a shriek. The hallway they stood in was dimly lit and at the end a light flickered and creepy sounds could be heard in the distance.

Jon passed Colby and put his hand on Joe's shoulder which made the big man jerk.

"God damn it Jon!" he hissed and walked two steps when an actor jumped out of a hidden department in the wall looking like a zombie.

Now Joe shrieked softly and Jon jerked, his hand tightening on Joes shoulder. Colby had been far enough away and snorted his camera catching everything.

They walked on and there were scary pictures on the walls and dolls without heads and stuff.

They passed the flickering light and something came loose at the ceiling making Joe and Jon duck simultaneously. Colby came face to face with the skeleton and now he shrieked and his camera hand shook a little.

"What the hell?" Jon said and got up from the floor brushing imaginary dust off of his jeans.

Joe looked at Colby and the camera.

"You are filming this?"

"Yeah."

Joe flipped him off and walked to the door at the end of the hallway. He cautiously opened it and just swung it wide open. Nothing happened.

"I think we have the worst behind us." Jon said and walked on, his brothers right behind him.

The door had just closed when there was a rush of wind and soft fabric danced in the wind and was blown into the men's faces. Jon tried to fight the fabric while Colby ducked behind Joe. After two more steps they were through it.

"I really start to hate this." Jon mumbled and let Colby walk first now.

The architect passed a line and the lights went off and some blood red spots illuminated what looked like little piglets with three heads and eyes in glasses along with eerie sounds.

Colby shrieked and stepped back from the glasses and hit the wall when arms grabbed him. Another hidden actor in the walls.

Joe could stop Colby at the last second from punching the guy and they had just passed that part when the walls suddenly came at them and they all three threw their hands up but the walls never touched them.

"Joe get us out of here." Jon growled.

Colby was not caring about filming anymore he just wanted to get out.

They passed a couple more hallways and were forced down some steps.

In the supposed cellar it was dark except for some spots. Jon was taking the lead now he really wanted to get out when suddenly a pair of red eyes appeared in front of him and a giant spider was illuminated.

"Fuck!" he shrieked and jumped back into Joe who was so surprised that he in turn landed into Colby.

In that second something like artificial spider webs dropped down from the ceiling, landing on the guys and Jon really cried out now, slapping wildly at anything and everything.

Joe and Colby were not much better but at least they were not screaming "get it off of me" the whole time.

Jon saw the exit and ran out, followed by Colby and Joe.

All three men looked at each other, breathing hard.

"No word to anyone about this." Jon bit out.

"Agreed. Colby, delete the video." Joe urged his friend.

"Already done." Colby nodded.

The three left the park and were glad that they could catch some beers to forget about that haunted house.

Two weeks later at the Raw after Halloween the three sat together in catering eating lunch.

"So we went to that haunted house again. And my little girl loved it." Joe admitted to his friends.

"I send Jessie in with her, saying that I needed to make a phone call though." he blushed about his own cowardice but both Colby and Jon put a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry. We understand. Thank God no one saw us freaking out like schoolgirls." Jon sighed and looked at Colby who was working on his phone.

"Guys? Guys I think we have a problem."

In the catering area were several TVs installed at the walls where currently a rerun of the latest football game played. But now the images changed to some dark footage of three men who were so close together, looking frantically around that they were practically holding hands.

Joe pointed to the nearest TV where footage of their haunted house visit played.

"That's security footage." Colby said and made a face.

"How the hell did someone get their hands on this?"

The video showed the three flinching and soft laughter erupted among the other wrestlers who watched with interest.

"It was scary!" Colby told them angrily and the laughter just got louder.

"Who can do something like that? And who would do it?" Joe wondered aloud.

Colby shrugged and both men now looked over to Jon, whose eyes were fixed on the TV.

"I have an idea." he pressed out.

"No way!" Joe said and Colby shook his head.

"She wouldn't do this." Colby agreed and Jon turned towards them.

"Oh she would. Remember how we made fun of her when she went crazy because of that spider in the rental car?"

"Oh that was funny!" Colby remembered the event fondly.

Sam had been driving while he was in the passenger seat and Jon and Joe were in the back listening to music. A good sized spider had suddenly appeared from the top and it landed on her lap. Sam had almost crashed the car, put it in park and ran out screaming for one of them to take it away. Well since they were all so occupied with laughing and not peeing their pants at the same time no one had helped her.

She got back into the car and promised them darkly that one day she would get back at them. That had been over a years ago.

"She promised revenge. Someone must have send her the footage and she put it on those TVs. She is friends with the production crew." Jon explained.

"What will we do now?" Joe asked.

"Oh, I will do nothing. She is my wife and I am really fond of spending my nights in the same bed she does."

"We started this so I vote we take the heat and let it slide. For now. Opportunity will present itself at some point." Colby said.

Joe rolled his eyes. "You two are no fun when it comes to Sam. But fine. We will sit it out."

All three leaned back and watched the rest of the tape.

Just as it was about to end someone said:" Boooo!" and all three shrieked and jumped up from their seats.

They turned standing united like the Shield used to do and faced Sam who couldn't stop laughing.

"Not funny." Joe said and walked away.

"The war is on!" Colby promised.

"You will sleep on the couch!" Jon told her and followed his friends under the laughter of the other wrestlers.

Sam brushed away a tear from laughing.

"This was so worth every form of retaliation!" she grinned and left to get back to work as well.
