A/N: This is another One Shot. Set at the year Seth and Dean turned on Roman in my story.
It is the second to last event the guys wrestled at…
PS: The format sucks here. I know it looks really stupid, I am trying to fix it but ff is a little...B++++
Third Person POV
"Thank you guys again for letting me tag along." Joe told his brothers Colby and Jon while shoving his last t-shirt into his suitcase, zipping it shut.
"Sure thing bro." Colby told him smiling. On TV they might be enemies but backstage the guys from the Shield remained best friends and brothers.
"Why again can't you drive with Jon and Josh?" Jon asked while putting his backpack on.
Joe sighed.
"Ariane has some kind of crisis with Vinnie and Trin offered that she could tag along for some girl time."
Colby grinned. "Do Jon (Fatu) and Josh know what they got themselves into?"
Joe laughed out loud. "Possibly not."
"Are you driving Colby?" Joe asked when they all left their locker-room, suitcases in tow.
They passed a couple of coworkers and said their goodnights.
"No its Jon's turn."
Jon patted his jacket pocket while trying not to stare at Micheal Cole who wore a Santa hat.
"I have the car keys right..." he stopped. Like literally stopped and Colby cursed because he almost ran him over.
A feeling of doom washed over Colby and under his sweatjacket goosebumps appeared on his skin.
Joe still smiled oblivious to the strange behavior of his brothers.
"What's the matter?" he asked them.
"My car keys are gone." Jon simply stated and slowly Joe's smile vanished.
"Have you lost them?" he asked hopefully.
"Guys? Are you coming? I got the car already!" an overly cheerful voice called out to the three guys and Colby visibly cringed. Joe muttered something under his breath about Jon being not able to keep a hold on his damn car keys while Jon himself ran a hand over his face.
"We could tackle her, tie her up and put her in the trunk." Colby pressed out through his teeth his face appearing smiling in the direction of the woman that waited for them.
"We could ditch her at the next rest stop." Joe came up with another idea.
"We just filled up on gas." Jon groaned.
"Are you sure there are no more seats on the bus?" Jon asked Joe and he shook his head.
"Are you coming or what?" the woman called out again and the three ex member's of the Shield couldn't drag their feet any longer. They walked up to the cheerful woman like livestock being brought to the slaughterhouse.
"Hi babe." the woman kissed Jon.
"Hi Sam." he said without any happiness in his voice. She smiled only broader now.
"Aren't you all glad that we can take this last ride of the year together? Come let's get you packed up and on the road. Tomorrow is the last show before the Christmas break and we have a four hour drive ahead of us."
When they reached the car Colby wanted to keep on walking stubbornly but Jon grabbed his coat and Colby looked back snarling.
Joe was the first to admit defeat and put his suitcase in the trunk, climbing on the backseat and shutting the door. It felt pretty much like he just nailed his own coffin shut.
Now Jon and Colby realized that there was just one more space up in the back and they started to shove each other out of the way to get their luggage into the trunk.
Colby won and got into the car beside Joe.
"What's up with them?" Sam asked and Jon just looked at her blankly.
He got into the car while Sam closed the trunk and climbed behind the wheel.
She had just turned the ignition when the radio started to blare Mariah Carey's All I want for Christmas.
The three man in the car groaned in union.
"So are you up for some Christmas songs? Oh I love this last drive before Christmas when we play Christmas songs, don't you?"
A certain amount of mischief sparkled in her eyes as the first song ended and Britney Spears started to ask if Santa could hear her.
Jon's hand inched towards the button to turn the radio on instead of the iPhone but Sam's hand landed on his.
"Nah. Driver picks the music."
Jon rubbed his hand, that slap had actually hurt.
Joe was typing on his phone while Colby stared straight ahead like a deer in headlights. This was really not his kind of music and he dreaded this night where Sam would play all those awful Christmas songs the whole way!
He touched his ears and looked at his hands. No blood. Thank God.
When suddenly three phones started to beep with an incoming twitter notification Jon and Colby grabbed for their phones while Sam had to keep on driving.
Feeling badass driving through the night with atthedeanambrose and atwwerollins while listening to this (ps:atsam is pretty persistent when it comes to the rule: driver picks the music)
Enclosed was a screenshot with the radio display that announced that The Backstreet Boys sang Christmas Time
Colby started to laugh hysterically and Jon grinned.
"What is it?" Sam asked and tried to look on Jon's phone.
"Joe you….You are all freaking Grinches!" she said with faked anger and now all three men broke down laughing.
"And you are the worst Grinchbrose!" she gave her husband a death glae and concentrated back on the road while adjusting the volume with the button on the steering wheel as Wham's Last Christmas started.
Stupid men! It was Christmas in a couple of days. They always played their music. She could chose hers at least for one night.
"Grinches." she mumbled again while the boys finally settled to catch some shut eye…Christmas music be damned.
A/N: So, it is Christmas already. Wow. And I swear I had planned some more surprises.
Well, I hope you liked this little piece.
Thank you for following me throughout the year.
I promise I will bring this story to an end somehow.
And I will post the Shield Inc. short story soon.
But apart from that chances are high that there will be no more new stories from me, unless I have like the ultimate idea.
Just follow me as an Author if you haven't done that already and you will get an update mail if there is something new from me out. Just in case. I mean, just hit the button, huh?
Merry Christmas to all of you!
Frohe Weihnachten!
Feliz navidad!
Feliz natal!
And I hope 2015 will be a great year for all of us!
PS: And believe in the SHIELD!
