Hey Bubblies,

Sorry I've been away for a while but I've cleared most of my writers block! It's 10pm on the 5th of November that I'm writing this. Freaking noisy fireworks. I can't sleep and I have a long English Essay to Ace tomorrow and an Italian Speaking test for an hour straight after that. Great.

I'll be editing this tomorrow (depending on how much I get done), hopefully during Lunch with 'ayoungnovelist' The author of the Pretty Little Liars fanfic, 'Positive' :) She has new plans in-store so keep an eye on her! She's an amazing writer.

Disclaimer: And No, ayoungnovelist is NOT paying me to promote her and has NOT asked me to.

But back to ATMH, I've attempted to make this chapter longer, so I pray that this is to your liking :)

I've got the next few chapters (almost) done, edited and polished so they should be up very soon!

Hope you enjoy this,

-Rin

Rhia's POV.

'Who is this?'

I felt my heart twist and bleed. Why am I feeling like this?

I forced a laugh, 'That's funny, Jesse... Lina, I'm going to bed, it's late'

faking a smile, I walked away without turning back. The night's air quickly grew cold as my heart pained my chest with harsh, heart-broken thumps. What just happened?

The Next Day

Another day. I thought to myself as my eyelids fought to stay closed, I saw bright red behind them from the sunlight that shone through the curtains.

Moments after, I sat up and stretched. Feeling eased. I noticed a moving figure at the mirror opposite my bed...

'Morning Rhia,' Lina turned around, hairbrush in her hand and a bright smile on her face.

'Morning Lina, what time did you get back?' I asked as I stood up.

'A few minutes after you left,'

I took the rubber band at my wrist and tied my hair up unconsciously, moving to the wardrobe to change into my Slifer Red uniform. That was when Lina spoke up,

'Can I ask you something?'

Fear rose quickly.

'Shoot' I offered as I began to remove my Pajama top and slid on the slifer jacket over my black tank top.

'What was Jesse's consequence?'

My body froze. My back was turned to Lina so she couldn't see my eyes closing in pain...

Flashback-

'What's wrong, Princess?' The dark duelist asked, a sinister smile crept up on his lips.

'What kind of question is that?'

I was still kneeling on the floor, my hair waterfall-ing shadowing my face. I just lost the duel. I felt a wave of guilt.

'Aw, I know what'll make you feel better...' I wish I lost my hearing at this point. I then heard the words I wish I hadn't.

'Choosing a consequence for your blue haired friend'

'Choosing?' My head flicked up slowly

'I thought I'd be generous and decided to let you decide'

'Why don't you just give me the damage instead?'

'I simply can't do that, Princess... You know the rules'

I stayed silent.

'Fine, you either make your friend forget everything or make him forget you,'

My heart shattered. Even in a way I though it couldn't,'What?!'

The dark duelist raised his palm and an hourglass appeared in the air, a small amount of sand within it. Purple light reflected from it.

'Time's running out, my dear. If you don't choose now, I'll have to get that precious older brother of yours involved too'

'Leave Jaden out of this.'

I felt anger and pure rage swallow me whole. The light in my body began to weaken and the darkness filled my emotions with angry, dark thought. I felt empty, but at the same time, full.

'Tick Tock, Tick Tock'

'If your quoting Ke$ha, it's not cool' The dark duelist's mouth curled in disgust.

'Time's running out' he clenched his teeth.

Hesitation. I had come to a conclusion but my heart wouldn't allow me to say the words I needed to say.

'I know you have an answer, Princess. I can feel it'

'Fine...M-...Make him...forget me.'

'Good answer'

'But you swear that he won't get hurt, right?'

'I promise'

'No, Promises are made to be broken. Swear it.' My voice turned a statement into a command. This wasn't Me.

'By the oath of the dark duelists, I swear'

'And he'll remember everyone else,'

'Everyone but you.'

'Fine.'

I snapped back into reality and continued to change, 'I don't know'

'Rhia, I know you know'

'I honestly don't, I'm quite shocked too' I felt terrible when I lied to Lina...

Lina and I left our rooms and I closed the door behind us. The keys jingled as I locked the door,

'Oi, Jesse!' I heard Lina yell behind me.

I instantly turned around and my heart began to throb. Jaden, Syrus and Jesse stood in the centre of the field below the dorm and looked up at up. My eyes met Jesse's.I need to get out of here.

Lina pulled my arm and we were on the grass within seconds. Lina ran towards the guys and I took the opportunity to quickly walk away.

'Hey, Lina' I heard the guys greet her as I walked.

'Hey, Rhia!' Jaden yelled. Crap.

'Where are 'ya going? Come over here!' I turned to smile at my brother who had both arms in the air, waving wildly.

'I'm fine,' I mouthed and walked away a little quicker than before.

'Is she alright?' I faintly heard Syrus ask.

'Who is she?' Jesse.

His voice followed shortly after, I sensed both Lina and Jaden's eyes on my back and with that I began to walk even faster.

A Few Days Later

Lina POV.

I walked back to the Slifer dorm after hanging out with Mindy and Jasmine at the Beach, we watched Atticus surf and serenade us with romantic love songs. The air was getting a little colder.

'Lina!' I turned to see a brown-haired slifer running over to me.

'Oh, hey Jay'

'Can I ask you something?'

'Are you asking me out' I raised an eyebrow.

Jaden's eyes widened, 'No, I mean-'

'I'm kidding' I laughed, 'It's about Rhia and Jesse, right?'

I explained what happened with the dark duelist to Jaden and he furrowed his brow.

'I think I know what the consequence was'

'I have a feeling I do too...'

I saw two figures moving closer in the corner of my eye. Zane and Alexis.

'Zane! Alexis!' I yelled as they approached us.

'Fancy meeting you here' Jaden added...

'We need to talk...'

Lina POV.

'Those are the words I dreaded the most' I started, looking over to Jaden.

'It's about your sister'

'Rhia?'

'Do you have another?' I responded sarcastically...

'She's been acting really strange around Jesse- in fact, she's ever hardly around Jesse anymore'

'The consequence.' Jaden whispered

'The dark duelists were here weren't they?' My eyes flickered to Alexis 'Don't worry she knows'

'So I judging that from the look on your faces, the consequence had something to do with Jesse not remembering Rhia?'

'Yeah... Whenever Jesse came over to us or Jesse was there, Rhia would always find an excuse to go the other way'

'Lina?' Jaden suddenly directed the conversation to me...

'Yeah'

'You had a consequence once, right?'

'Yeah, and?'

'Rhia reversed it, didn't she?'

'Yeah, about a year after...'

'That shows that you can reverse it... We need to talk to Rhia'

Jesse POV.

I sat by the harbour enjoying the ocean breeze, it was so calm and peaceful. Everything that happened for the past few days were quite vague and blurred. Who's the new girl? So many questions about her were suddenly crammed in my head. I couldn't stop thinking about her. Something about her is so familiar...

'Hey, Jess'

'Oh hey, Sy, What's up?'

'The sky' Syrus replied, jokingly.

'Good one'

'Is it alright if i join you?'

'Go right ahead'

Syrus sat down beside me, our legs hanging from the edge of the harbour port-side. We spent a couple of minutes in silence as we enjoyed the sound of the crashing waves and the seagulls flying above us. But even then, I couldn't stop thinking about her.

'Hey Jess?'

'Yeah, Sy?'

'Is it alright if I ask you a question? It might be a little personal'

'Sure, Sy, anything'

Syrus hesitated a little and pushed up his glasses. He looked as if he was fighting with himself on the words he was going to say.

'Do you like Rhia?'

'Rhia?'

'Yeah,' Syrus gave me a worried look, 'Jaden's sister?'

'Jaden has a sister?'

'Jesse that's not funny' Syrus was taken aback, he looked really shocked.

'I'm not joking around, Sy... Who's Rhia?'
