Shocking Secret about Uranus

The Straw Hats all were ready for anything and everything that the fishman could through at them. The identity of Luffy's mother still lingered heavily in all of their minds but they all pushed it aside for now. It was very important to them for it was a major reason for Luffy's hatred of the world government and being a member of the revolutionary army, but for now it was on the back burner. Right now their main priority was the powerful fishman infront of them. They couldn't afford to be distracted by anything, even the thoughts of Luffy's mother because it could cost them one of their dear friends. They couldn't let Shirahoshi fall into the hands of Luffy's father.
Sanbi rushed towards Zoro at full speed and attempted a straight and powerful punch at the swordsman who crossed his three swords together blocking the straight punch. Despite the attack being blocked, it created a massive shockwave then forced the Straw Hats to brace themselves. Zoro then pushed back on the swords and jumped above Sanbi pointing his swords straight down at him.
"Gyuki: Yuzume," said Zoro as he lunged downwards at Sanbi.
Sanbi responded by bringing his huge forearm up blocking Zoro's downward attack. Zoro's attack was strong but Sanbi's powerful armament haki empowered by kamishoku was more than enough to protect him.
"Damn that strange haki of his again," growled Zoro in frustration.
Sensing something he turned to Sanji's direction to see him running towards him.
"Collier Shoot," said Sanji as he attempted to kick Sanbi's neck.
Sanbi responded by doing a headbutt using his head to deflect Sanji's kick. Quickly grabbing the still airborne Zoro, he used the green haired swordsman as a baseball bat to literally bat Sanji away. Then he attempted to punch Zoro when suddenly a few arms grew from his arm thus holding him back.
"You," said Sanbi turning to the direction of Robin whose arms were crossed together.
"Doce Fleur," said Robin.
He easily broke free of Robin's arms and then held it back.
"Incredible power, as expected," commented Robin at Sanbi easily breaking through her arms though she wasn't surprised given his insane power.
Sanbi sent several water droplets at Robin. Robin looked terrified for a few seconds before a large body shielded her from the attack.
"Franky," said Robin relieved.
"Don't worry Robin, I've got you covered," said Franky.
Franky however was bleeding from the attack due to the immense force of the water droplets that Sanbi hurled. He was lucky that his body was made from extremely durable metal from Vegapunk's old laboratory. Said metal was much harder than regular steel and protected him from Sanbi's water attack. Had this been his old body, Franky was sure that things would be much worse.
"Kayaku Boshi," said Ussop who fired a small explosive pellet at Sanbi's face.
The attack did nothing except stun Sanbi but it forced him to release Zoro. Zoro seeing the opening got into a crab like stance.
"Gazami Dori," said Zoro who tried to use his swords to clamp down on Sanbi like a crab's claw.
Sanbi however sensed it and jumped out of the way just in time. Even with his powerful haki enhanced by divine haki, he did not want to chance getting hit by Zoro when it could be helped. Zoro was capable of cutting steel easily after all and could hurt even him if given enough time to power up his attacks.
"You're all really annoying," commented Sanbi.
"We know that, that's what we do," replied Zoro.
"Jeez the only one really annoying is that moss headed swordsman," said Sanji walking back.
The cook just couldn't help but insult the swordsman even in the middle of an intense battle against a foe as powerful as Sanbi.
"Oye Sanji good to see you're alright," said Franky with a grin.
"Sanji-san," said Brook happily.
"Like you're one to talk baka-cook," insulted Zoro back.
"You two should pay more attention to your enemy," said Sanbi who appeared directly infront of them.
Sanbi then close-lined both of them knocking them both to the ground. He then tried to stomp down at Sanji with his large feet but Sanji got out of the way in time. Sanji then swept his leg down knocking Sanbi off his feet and onto the ground.
"Epaule," said Sanji as he brought his leg down hard on Sanbi's mid section with an axe kick.
The attack hit its mark and Sanji repeated the action several more times. Sanbi however blocked the last kick and then lifted Sanji up and held him up before slamming him down onto the ground.
"Ushi Bari," said Zoro as an aura of a bull surrounded him as he tried to attack Sanbi.
Zoro's swords were held out like a bull's horns and the aura of a bull accompanied him as well. Sanbi however lifted up Sanji and held him up in Zoro's pathway. Seeing that he would hit Sanji Zoro stopped his attack just in time.
"Strong Hammer," said Franky as he ran towards Sanbi.
Using his massive arms delivered a powerful punch to Sanbi's head knocking him back several feet. Sanji who was being held by Sanbi at the time landed on his feet.
"Yosh looks like I made it just in time," said Franky to Sanji.
"Whatever," replied Sanji back.
"Anyway we should be on guard. I know that punch didn't do anything to him," said Franky.
Both Zoro and Sanji knew that Franky was right. And right they were because Sanbi got him without showing any signs of damage. He then looked at Franky neutrally before saying.
"If that's what you call a strong punch then let me show you a real one," said Sanbi.
Sanbi then charged at Franky at high speed ready to deliver a strong right hit of his own. Franky barely had time to react as Sanbi was already infront of him.
"Crap," said Franky who didn't have enough time to react to Sanbi.
Sanbi then delivered a powerful right hit to Franky that hit him dead on. The attack was so powerful that it sent Franky flying back an extremely far distance.
"Franky," called out Sanji at seeing his nakama get blasted away by a powerful hit from Sanbi.
"Franky, you bastard," said Chopper who quickly turned to heavy point.
"Heavy point," said Chopper who began running towards Sanbi.
"Heavy Gong," said Chopper as he attempted to punch Sanbi.
Sanbi however easily caught Chopper's body in his massive arms and slammed him to the ground causing him bounced down a few times. He then raised his arms and attempted to slam Chopper when several arms appeared on him and held him back in place.
"Treinta Fleur," said Robin with her arms crossed.
Chopper quickly retreated away in fright. Whatever rage he had was spent replaced by fear when looking up at the hulking towering fishman.
"Thanks Robin," thanked Chopper.
"Midori Boshi: Devil," said Usopp who fired something at Sanbi.
That something turned out to be a pop green which quickly grew into a venus flytrap. The venus flytrap didn't attempt to eat Sanbi instead choosing to use its vines to ensnare Sanbi. Sanbi however despite being held back by Robin's arms was able to keep himself from being fully ensnared. While all that was happening a thundercloud appeared overhead Sanbi.
"Weather egg," said Nami referring to the egg that she sent that released the thundercloud.
"The weather is stormy with thunderclouds," said Nami with a smile.
"Thunder Breed Tempo," said Nami who used her sorcery tact to guide the lighting towards Sanbi.
Robin released her arms just before the lightening hit and both Sanbi and the venus flytrap was executed. The attack caused the venus flytrap to released Sanbi and fall over but Sanbi himself merely took a step back.
"Che, didn't work," said Nami who sort of expected that due to how strong he was.
"Even worse your attack actually helped him by taking out the venus flytrap," commented Robin.
"You wish to get involved alright then," said Sanbi who then held his arms in a bowl shape and a blue orb began forming inside of it.
"Oh Crap, he's gonna use that water move again," said Usopp.
He then threw the water orb which turned into a large current of water that was heading towards Nami, Robin and Usopp at high speed. Just as the three were about to be hit, Franky suddenly appeared directly infront the three absorbing most of the impact. As a result, Usopp and the two women only got soaked as a result. The three Straw Hats looked at the now soaked Franky who now looked terrible.
"Franky," said Nami.
"Oye Franky, you okay, you still alive," said Usopp looking at the cyborg concerned.
Franky was breathing hard and he looked like he was going to fall down anytime soon.
"Don't worry, I'm fine, a little water can't stop me," said Franky with a light grin.
The grin did somewhat ease their worries but this was downplayed by the fact that Franky did not look good at all.
Sanbi seeing that his attack was intercepted grunted in annoyance. But he didn't have time to reflect on that as he saw Sanji with his leg now a shiny yellow.
"Diable Jambe," said Sanji with a silently enraged face.
"Suge, Sanji looks really pissed now," said Chopper looking at the enraged cook.
"That's because that fishman tried to attack both Nami and Robin. Love cook isn't going to hold back on that one," said Zoro to Chopper.
"Still, I doubt even that would be enough to take down a guy like that," said Zoro looking at the hulking fishman.
Sanbi was looking at the enraged cook while thinking.
"Black Leg now seems more enraged that before. And that attack as hot as it is further enhanced by his rage. It'll sure to be quite hot, but I can still handle it," said Sanbi.
Thanks to his enhanced observation haki, Sanbi could tell that Sanji's haki was stronger due to his enraged state. That however made him more predictable though Sanbi was more than sure that he can take whatever Sanji was about to do.
"Sky Walk," said Sanji literally running on the air to get to Sanbi.
"Collier Strike," said Sanji who launched himself at Sanbi at high speed.
Sanbi placed both his hands up in a cross block and blocked Sanji's attack. The attack itself covered Sanbi in fire.
"Alright that's showing him," cheered Franky.
"Awesome that fishman is literally getting cooked," cheered Usopp.
Sanji landed on the ground and looked at the burning Sanbi.
"That's what you get for attacking the ladies. You get cooked up and served to them for lunch," said Sanji.
"Then I'm afraid then I'm not on the menu," said Sanbi.
All the Straw Hats looked at Sanbi who should have been burnt only to see that the fire didn't seem to be doing anything to him. Instead Sanbi was enveloped in water which put the fire out.
"N – N – No way, Sanji's attack didn't do anything," said Usopp with wide eyes and a terrified look.
Franky had a worried look as did Nami and Robin.
"That was very impressive attack Black Leg Sanji but you're forgetting about my mastery over fishman karate and merman combat. I can control the surrounding water in the atmosphere and use it as I want. So it was no problem using it to put out that fire," said Sanbi.
Sanji gritted his teeth in anger. He was sure that he had the fish bastard there.
"Of course, the fire wouldn't have done anything to me to begin with. Between armament haki powered up by kamishoku along with my own strong and durable body, your firey attack wouldn't really hurt me," said Sanbi.
Indeed Sanbi only had a few burns on him from Sanji's Diable Jambe attack.
The Straw Hats, particularly Sanji wanted to know what it took to bring down the powerful Knight. So far nothing seemed to be working and even when Sanji was enraged, it didn't work whereas it the past, his over protectiveness and lust for women would indeed make him stronger enough to overcome stronger adversaries in the past.
Suddenly Sanbi sprung towards Sanji at high speed. Sanji was taken off guard by the sheer suddenness of the attack and the speed from Sanbi that he was unable to react. Sanbi would have hit Sanji with a massive straight punch but Zoro intercepted him and blocked with his three swords. Sanbi was stopped in his tracks but Zoro was gritting his teeth as he struggled to hold the powerful fishman back. Despite having successfully blocked Sanbi, Zoro still struggled to hold him back evident by his groans, gritting teeth and sweat.
Zoro turned his one eye to Sanji and couldn't help but make fun of him.
"Jeez love cook, that was pathetic, freezing up like that," mocked Zoro to his rival.
Sanji gritted his teeth at Zoro's words. He did not like to look pathetic in front of Zoro and even worse have to be saved by him, never mind the swordsman rubbing it in his face. But the Knight was just so damn fast and sudden despite his size that even though he had kenbunshoku haki, it still was not was not enough to keep him from being caught off guard by the powerful fishman.
"Che if you didn't notice, I had him stupid marimo," retorted Sanji back in an attempt to reclaim some of his pride.
"Whatever," replied back Zoro offhandedly still holding Sanbi back.
"You should be more focused on me rather than him," said Sanbi.
Sanbi while still being held back by Zoro drew his other arm back. Zoro looked worried because he knew that he wouldn't be able to block the next punch in the position that he was in. Just as Sanbi was about to attack, Brook came speeding towards him Yohohoho as he did.
"Yohohohoho," said Brook quickly running towards Sanbi.
Sanbi then changed his attack to instead knock Brook away but Brook jumped onto his large arms and literally ran up him. When he was on Sanbi's shoulder, he leapt high into the air and pointing his sword down, descended down and attempted to stab him while spinning.
"Swallow Bond en Avant," said Brook thrusting his sword downwards while spinning.
The attack hit Sanbi's shoulder dead on but it didn't do anything to him, not even cause him to bleed even.
"I - I – I- It didn't even scratch him," said Brook incredibly surprised.
He knew that his strength were nowhere near Zoro's level and if he couldn't do much against him, then neither could he but still it didn't lessen how surprised he was.
"You're annoying," said Sanbi who drew his fist back and attempted to knock Brook away.
"W – W – Wait a minute," stuttered Brook who knew that getting hit by someone like Sanbi could mean the end for him.
"No die," said Sanbi who attempted to deliver a hard hit to Brook.
"Oh no you don't," said Sanji who suddenly appeared between Sanbi and Brook.
"Slice Shot," said Sanji as he kicked the fist that was about to hit him and Brook.
Sanbi's attack was so powerful that it completely overpowered Sanji's kick and sent him and Brook flying back a far distance. Luckily the force behind Sanji's kick cancelled out most of the force behind Sanbi's punch so his attack was not much damaging besides sending them flying. Even then both of them landed in a net of arms belonging to Robin.
"Nice Robin," cheered Usopp.
Sanji and Brook got him shakily.
"That was close, thank you Sanji-san," thanked Brook.
"Whatever," dismissed Sanji.
"By the way, this is …" said Brook noticing all the arms that were interlocked in a net.
"Robin-chan," said Sanji enthusiastically.
Robin had her arms crossed with her usual gracious smile on her face.
"Robin-chan you saved me, this means that you really do love me don't you Robin-chan, don't you," said Sanji in full blown love mode.
"Thank you there Robin-san," thanked Brook to Robin.
Robin smiled back to Brook's thank you though ignoring Sanji's usual love dialogue.
Sanji was interrupted from his musings when he noticed a large shadow on the ground. Turning towards the source of the shadow, he saw Sanbi high in the air.
"He jumped high again," said Brook looking at the aerial fishman.
"Shit," cursed out Sanji as he too looked at Sanbi.
Sanji and Brook jumped out of the way just before Sanbi slammed his two hands down hard before landing causing the entire area around him to be reduced to nothing but rubble. Sanji and Brook despite having moved out of the way felt the effects of the large shockwave which sent them both flying back along with a large amount of debris.
"W – W – What power," commented Chopper in awe at the sheer destruction that Sanbi created.
"Guess that's what it takes to be a Knight," said Franky with a worried face.
"If we get hit by something like that it's all over," noted Nami.
Brook and Sanji got up from having both been knocked back from the shockwave. When they were both up fully they looked at the damage that Sanbi created. It was unlike anything they ever saw, not even Oz was capable of damage this great. And Oz was a super sized giant powered by Luffy's shadow. The fact that Sanbi's destructive power exceeded even that only spoke volumes of his power. Even if he was a D, even if he had some kind of divine haki, it didn't stop them from awing and fearing his power.
"T – T – This is insane, not even Oz could have done this much damage with a single attack," commented Brook in sheer fright.
"We're gonna have to make sure to stay away from him if he's about to do that again," said Sanji.
"Right," agreed Brook.
Suddenly the entire area was covered by a dark shadow. The action stopped as Sanbi, the Straw Hats and everyone watching turned towards the source of the shadow. It was revealed to be Surume, the Kraken that Luffy adopted and made into his pet.
"It's that giant octopus again," said Sanji.
"Yeah Surume, but what's he doing here?" asked Usopp.
"Good question because he doesn't look to happy," said Franky looking at its face.
Indeed the Straw Hats all noticed that Surume look angry and fearsome, truly benefitting its reputation as the legendary sea monster Kraken. Seeing the fearsome look on the Straw Hats face got all of them worried. While Surume itself wouldn't be any problem for them, they couldn't take both it and Sanbi at the same time.
"Oye Oye what's wrong with it, it looks like it's going to attack us at any time," said Usopp worriedly.
"This isn't good, we're barely holding our own against that fishman so there's no way we'll be able to take that thing on as well," said Nami.
"Oye Surume don't you remember us, you were Luffy's pet and we're all your friends," said Chopper to Surume.
"There's no need to worry Straw Hats, its not angry at you," said Neptune in a loud voice so that the Straw Hats would hear.
The Straw Hats turned their attention to Neptune for him to explain.
"After the battle against Hody's group, that Kraken became the defender of Fishman Island. Ever since then, it has protected Fishman Island from pirates looking to attack us," explained Neptune.
The Straw Hats could understand that. Given that it was Luffy's friend and Luffy himself nearly died to save Fishman Island, it would make sense that Surume wanted to protect it. Also the only thing making him aggressive was Hody's holding his family hostage and now that was over, Surume had no reason to go around attacking everyone all the time. Luffy saving his family by defeating Hody only made Surume view Luffy as a friend and want to protect Fishman Island even more. Also Surume was more than enough to handle any threats to Fishman Island. Only extremely powerful foes would be too much for it and the Straw Hats doubted any of those would be coming any time soon.
"Though I'll admit that Surume's protection only helped briefly. With the rise of the Revolutionary Army, there hasn't been any real threats to Fishman Island. Most of them are easily handled by Neptune's army," said Fukaboshi.
This got darkened looks from the Straw Hats. They remembered how Fukaboshi explained how the fearsome power of the revolutionary army has scared off any real threats to Fishman Island and that pirates which generally are the main problems of Fishman Island have been removed and enslaved. To think Luffy was part of such a group and even worse, he agreed to what they were doing, it made the Straw Hats sick to their stomachs how Dragon twisted Luffy's mind to become what it has.
"Then if it's protecting Fishman Island, its probably here to defeat Sanbi," said Usopp.
Surume himself nodded in response confirming that it was indeed here to help them.
"Hey that's great. We could really use his help," said Chopper enthusiastically.
"As great as that is I think its best that he stay out of it and let us handle it," said Zoro.
Seeing the confused looks on some of the faces of his nakama Zoro chose to explain.
"If you remember, Hody was strong enough to actually scare him. And this guy is levels above Hody. For now I think it's best if he stays put and protects Shirahoshi," said Zoro.
"Got that Surume, you let us handle it. Just stay and protect her," said Zoro to Surume.
Surume didn't look like he wanted to listen.
"For once I agree with the marimo octopus, you protect Shirahoshi-chan and let us handle this shitty bastard," said Sanji.
Surume still looked like he didn't want to listen but finally relented. Moving his large body he went next to Shirahoshi with the crowd making way to give him room.
"Amazing is that the Kraken, the mythical sea monster said to destroy ships with ease," asked Vivi in awe at seeing the giant octopus.
"It is, its Surume-sama and he's Luffy-sama's friend," replied Shirahoshi.
"Amazing to think that Luffy-san could actually befriend such a creature. Though I shouldn't be so surprised since it's Luffy-san after all. But how was Luffy-san able to do such a thing?" asked Vivi who despite knowing that Luffy was capable of incredible things still wanted to know how he befriended the monster octopus.
"I don't know but he is Luffy-san's friend and has been protecting Fishman Island ever since," said Shirahoshi.
Sanbi looked at Surume. It wasn't a board look but one of great interest as if he knew something about Surume, something that went beyond the giant octopus being a legendary Kraken. He looked at Surume as if he was something of great importance to the future.
"So that's Surume, the kraken that Luffy tamed. He certainly truly is Lord Dragon's son and a true descendant of Darcia if he was able to accomplish such a feat," remarked Sanbi.
"Well that's just Luffy-san, he's able to become friends with anyone, even a mythical creature such as the Kraken," replied Brook.
"Indeed, the Kraken is a mythical creature but it is more than just that. Surume's legendary status goes far beyond the fact that it is simply a legendary octopus," said Sanbi.
Seeing the question looks of the Straw Hats, Sanbi chose to explain.
"Surume is not just a Kraken, it is the descendant of Uranus," revealed Sanbi.
DunDunDun, another bombshell, Surume, the same Kraken that Luffy befriended is actually a descendant of the Ancient Weapon Uranus.
First to answer some questions.
Someone asked I add Alexander Anderson to this fic. The problem with that is character design. Oda's One Piece is special for its diverse and unique character designs so I want to keep that. Alexander Anderson is visually meant for Hellsing, I doubt his design would ever be used in One Piece, the closest to Anderson would be Smoker in my opinion. Also I'm not using characters from other Anime because I want to give the readers the freedom of picturing the character's appearance as they wish. I only specify certain traits such as Sanbi being a hulking Fishman like the Hulk or Juggernaut both from Marvel, Sabo being a long blonde haired bishounen like Haschwalth from Bleach or Zechs Merquise from Gundam Wing, Juri having the appearance of a typical badass blackman like Tousen from Bleach or Aokiji.
However most of the powers and abilities of the characters are inspired by other characters. I only borrow their powers, I don't copy the characters because Oda's One Piece character appearances are unique so I wish to stick with that.
Somone also asked how Sabo was mostly beaten up by Kizaru in chapter 16 "D vs Light". The truth is that happens all the time. Take for example, Kenpachi vs Nnoitra. Here Kenpachi was practically dominated and cut up for the majority of the fight but, he was so damn awesome he still looked like he was winning. Likwise in the Byakuya vs Zommari, Zommarri was dominant for the entire fight but Byakuya looked so cool, calm and collected, you still felt he was winning. It was the same thing in the Sabo vs Kizaru fight. Despite Kizaru winning for the majority of the fight, Sabo was composed and relaxed so it never looked like he was loosing to begin with. This is different from the Luffy vs Akainu fight where Luffy was actually loosing and you could tell it.
Someone asked if Luffy and Cassandra will meet eventually. The answer is yes, the will meet at some point. I don't know when or if she'll even be alive at the very end of the story but they'll meet for sure. Luffy has to see his mother at least once in his life.
Well there aren't too much notes to mention but here are some things to get the suspense on.
In Chapter 20 "Elder Stars Fade and New World Order" I revealed that Uranus was actually the most powerful sea monster in history. I even went on to describe Uranus's appearance as the Kraken from the movie Clash of the Titans starring Sam Worthington. As the monster in that movie was actually a Kraken, then I thought it's fitting that its appearance be the same as Uranus. After all the Kraken from that movie was a colossal monster that even Zeus feared, similarly Uranus is the most powerful of the ancient weapon.
Just as how Uranus was the Kraken of the Void Century, Surume is the Kraken of the current age. And just as how Darcia is connected to Uranus (as Uranus is an Ancient Weapon of the Ancient Kingdom of Imperion), Luffy is connected to Surume as friends. This just shows more similarities between Darcia and Luffy.
Next chapter, expect Uranus's role in the Void Century to be revealed. Those of you who are fans of Uranus, the Void Century or both will certainly enjoy the next chapter.
