Here's the next chapter, minna! I hope you've been well! ;)

Christmas Holiday is almost here!

Aomine Daiki

It's been two days since the little war between me and Shinohara took place. We haven't talked to each other at all. Every time I saw her in class, which was only three times because I skipped the other classes, she would immediately turn her head to look out of the window. And when the lesson ended, she would grab her stuff as fast as possible and walk out.

Had we broken up? No. She couldn't. She didn't say anything like that. And it would be stupid to break up over this useless little argument we had.

It was last period now and I decided to go to it. Maybe I could catch Shinohara and sort things out with her.

I entered the classroom and saw her sitting on her seat. I went to mine, which was behind hers. I sat down and leaned a little forward to whisper to her. I still had 3 minutes before the teacher would come in.

"Mayu." She didn't turn around and pretended to read something. "Oi, Mayu." I said a little louder. "Can you please turn around?" I slightly demanded.

She turned around with a scowl. "What?" She said, gripping her chair.

I stared deeply into her eyes, before taking a breath. "I wanted to apologize after what happened in the gym." I said, turning my gaze down. I waited for her to say something, but nothing came. I lifted my head up to see that she had turned back around.

"We'll talk later." She said and then did I realize that the teacher had entered the classroom.

Finally the lesson ended. It was boring as usual and I think I fell asleep during the first half of the lesson.

I stood up and slightly sat on my desk and waited for Shinohara to grab her stuff. When she was done, she glanced at me, before walking towards the door. I followed behind, thinking about what I should say.

When we reached the hallway, I started to walk beside her, staring at her from the corner of my eye. "So, I wanted to say sorry." I simply said, feeling my cheeks burn a bit.

There was a long silence between us for a while, until she broke it. "Is that all?" She asked, unbelievably. "Is that all you have to say?" She asked, with narrowed eyes. "Daiki, I've had enough of your selfish stuff. You always say that no one can beat you-"

"-which is rig-"

"WRONG!" She said, looking down. Her bangs were covering her eyes, making me unable to read her expression. Then she lifted her head up, with a frown. "Someone will beat you someday. And I think I know who that someone." She said and turned to walk away.

I just simply stared after her like an idiot.

[Timeskip – Winter Cup]

All the schools that entered the Winter Cup were here, including Seirin. But there's one person that I did not see between them. "Where the hell is Kagami?" I whispered to myself.

Suddenly my phone buzzed and I decided to check who had texted me. My eyes slightly widened.

Shinohara Mayumi

I glanced over to see Aomine picking up his phone from his pocket. Suddenly his eyes widened and he started to leave.

"Aomine-kun, where are you going?" Momoi asked, stopping him in his tracks.

He pulled out his phone and showed something to Momoi, which made her eyes widen as well. What was it?

Momoi let him go and returned to do whatever she was doing. I walked up to her, not able to hold my curiosity in any longer. "Satsuki-chan, where did Daiki go?" I asked, keeping a straight face. We haven't been talking after his pathetic apology.

"Akashi-kun." She said, which was enough for me to understand.

We were talking about some strategy stuff, before I decided to go out and get some fresh air. I was pretty excited for this battle. It was against Seirin after all.

When I was outside, I leaned against the railing and took a deep breath.

"Excuse me." Came someone's voice from behind.

I turned around to get greeted by a guy with the Rakuzan uniform. My eyes narrowed a bit and I put on a serious expression. "Akashi-kun I presume?" The guy nodded with a smirk.

"You must be Shinohara Mayumi, right? Daiki's girlfriend."

I looked down. Were we still a couple or not? I have no idea. I decided to play it cool and looked up. "Yes."

A small glint was shown in his eyes. "Wasn't that a little bit of a long pause?" He asked, talking about my hesitation before answering his question. His questions didn't really sound like questions though. It sounded more like demands.

"What do you want?" I asked, trying to sound a little bit polite. I knew already that I didn't like this guy. Especially after hearing Aomine and Momoi's story of his change in personality, I didn't trust him at all.

He walked towards the railing and grabbed it, standing beside me now. He watched the view, with a small smile. Though I could clearly see that it was fake. "Nice weather, huh?" He said, closing his eyes and feeling the breeze hit his skin.

I felt my hands grip on the railing go harder. "What. Do. You. Want." I demanded, which made him turn towards me.

His fake smile got replaced by a look I couldn't read. Anger? Annoyance? "Tch!" He clicked his tongue and took a step closer to me, leaning down a little. He stared deeply into my eyes. I felt like I couldn't look away. He locked gazes with mine. I couldn't even move, as fear consumed me. "Know you place." He said, his eyes narrowing.

We stood like that for a while in silence and all I could do was stare into his fearsome eyes.

"Oi, Akashi! Get the hell away from Mayu!" I heard a familiar voice yell. Suddenly I was yanked away from those fearsome eyes and my gaze wandered up to meet a pair of dark blue eyes. Aomine. "What the hell were you trying to do to her?!" Aomine demanded and stared darkly at Akashi.

Akashi just simply shrugged. "Nothing." He then turned his gaze towards me and we once again locked gazes. My grip on Aomine's uniform tightened. "It was nice meeting you, Ma-yu." He said, using the nickname only three people has used to address me. My parents and Aomine.

Akashi walked away, staring at me all the time with a smirk, until he disappeared behind Aomine.

Suddenly I felt a pair of hands take a hold of my face. "Mayu, are you okay? He didn't do anything to you, right?" He said and I could hear the concern and worry in his voice. I also saw it in his deep blue eyes.

I slightly nodded, before I was pulled into a hug.

Has our handsome ace and little Mayu-chan sorted things out now, hmm? ;)

I wanted Akashi to make an appearance and meet our adorable vice-coach/manager assistant.
