(Inside Hajime's Dorm)

(Beautiful Morning Music Plays...)

Hajime was getting ready for school as he was putting gel into his hair to keep up the spikes around the sides of his head; and lastly taking a few moments to get the middle to really stick up. He looks into the mirror as he was lightly sighing after he finished.

'It's been a month now since I've attended here, feels like it's been going by quick' thought Hajime.

He turned to the door making his way out and looked to his left where his formal black tuxedo was hanging on the coat hanger. He grabbed it and began putting on his uniform.

'Hopefully today will be more interesting' thought Hajime.

He then began putting on his black leather formal shoes as his formal pants and his white collar shirt were already on him before he left the washroom. As he tied his shoes he went into a deep thought.

'He has no talent. Why would he even come to this school? They want him to succeed that much? Must be nice being rich. How much longer does he think he can stay here, when this place costs a fortune? He isn't going to mount to anything!' all these harsh words were making Hajime feel pain in his stomach as he finished tying his shoes.

He stood up clenching his fist and then a few moments later looked over to the door to make his way out.

'No matter what anyone says...I have purpose for being here' thought Hajime. He finds his black duffle bag close to the door and picks it up from the white straps and puts it on his left shoulder. He then opens the door a few feet in-front of him and closes it behind him.

'Ever since I was a kid, I've admired this place' thought Hajime. He remembered telling his parents all about it since he was a kid and shouting with confidence,

"Someday, I'm going to become a superhero! I'm going to become an Ultimate like everyone else! I'll prove it!", he smiled with a big grin on his face as he looked up at his parents. They never doubted his dream and were happy to support him all the way.

Later his parents researched more information about it; they told him that you can only be selected to go there if someone scouts you. To Hajime's disappointment, he wasn't going to give up. As time passed, he tried thinking of many hobbies that he enjoyed doing and practiced on them although to his ordeal no one in the school recognized him as special.

Hajime was walking down the sidewalk as he was about halfway to reaching the Reserves Department building. He slightly frowns as he continues to go into deep thought again.

Soon he reached his first highschool year as he was attending Kodaka High School. He was feeling despair as his dream to go to the school he desired was not coming true to his avail. Until one day, he was sitting in the cafeteria and came across a friend from his class who was reading a magazine across from him. The first thing he saw on the front cover was the picture of Hope's Peak Academy Building and the title reading: "Enrollment for New Reserve Course Students".

"Hey, mind if I have a look at that!?" asked Hajime a bit excited. The male friend known as Arata Maki looked at him a bit surprised from his reaction and blinked at him.

"Huh? Oh...you mean this?" replied Arata with a little smile as he flipped the page for him to see a pop singing idol in the picture. She is known to be a really famous young Japanese singer that was younger than them named Sayaka Maizono.

Hajime lightly blushed and shook his head.

"Not that!" replied Hajime.

"Really?! Come on! She's like the top beautiful girl in this country, who wouldn't be into her" replied Arata flustered looking up at the ceiling in awe.

"Just gimme that!" replied Hajime taking it off his hands.

"Hey! What the hell?! You could at least ask to take it off of me you dimwit!" replied Arata a bit furious. Hajime sighed ignoring him as he flipped the pages to the table of contents. Then he found the page he was looking for as he arrived to the hot topic of the magazine.

"Students Who Are Willing to Enroll at Hope's Peak Academy (Reserves Department)"

We would like to invite you to join our Academy. Our brief history is that the school was founded by Izuru Kamkura. It's been nearly almost 80 years since the school opened. We are very blessed with the Hope to spread our students with highly education futures that will lead to very hopeful careers. Even if you aren't scouted, there is always an opening for students who are willing to gain knowledge and talent as a Reserve Course Student.

Hajime didn't really care about the first information he read and began skimming as he passed the stating of the history and got to the part on the information to apply.

To apply, you can visit our website or contact our administrative adviser at the Reserve's Course Department. Thank-you have a hopeful day!

It was then, that Hajime for the first time in his life; felt the greatest hope that he ever experienced in his entire life. Soon as the school day ended he went home and told his parents about it. They were confused at first since they didn't know it existed at the time but were also hesitant to listen because he was already attending a high school.

"Mom, Dad, Please! You guys know I've been wanting to go to this school for a very long time and...this might be my chance to go" replied Hajime frustrated.

They both looked at one another and then back to their son and nodded. Soon before they knew it they found the information on the website and looked into it. However, it was quite expensive. Although, given that they knew they didn't want their son's dream to fall into broken pieces; they decided to go through with it. And thus Hajime was to begin his dream school as of the early spring. Once he told his friend about the news, he was kind of jealous but wished him the best of luck there. Soon his school knew and before he knew it; he was transferred there in the new year.

Hajime very lightly smiled as he made his way past a few people talking to each other and made his way into the main entrance of the building.

'This place, everything about it, may seem kind of rough, but I think it's because no one feels special' thought Hajime.

He then went into another deep thought as he remembered the entrance ceremony when he first arrived and got to go into the main building. Although that was the only time that he's ever got to go in there. He sometimes wishes he could go there in and out as he pleases but the rules restricted them from entering there. He disliked the rule but there wasn't much he could do about it. Then suddenly he recalled his introduction to the class when he arrived on his first day,

"My name is Hajime Hinata, I'm very excited to be in this class with everyone here. It's always been my dream to come to this place and I hope that we all can find talent within our hearts!"

Everyone all fell silent as they looked at him in disbelief. He then looked around at everyone as they began chatting to themselves. Their words were not very pleasant as he looked around quite anxiously. Soon someone spoke up.

"Uh, what kind of speech was that?" asked a random girl sitting in the back far left with curly blue hair.

"Well...I-I mean don't we all want to be here? It's not that I meant-" replied Hajime nervously.

"You think we want to be here? What are you trying to get at anyway?" replied another student who was a female with really long purple hair.

"I'm just saying that we all have a purpose to-" replied Hajime as he lightly swayed his hands forward.

"That's enough, please take your seat in the far back right to the window, Hajime" replied the male teacher sternly.

'What's with everyone? I don't understand...' thought Hajime confused as he lowered his head a little.

He then reached to walk to his seat as he heard the voices around the room causing him to feel a lot of anxiety. He looked down at his desk and placed his hands on his head trying to ignore what everyone was thinking about him. As the first month passed from his first impression, no one would speak or interact with him. It was not an environment he was truly hoping for but he assumed that they had their personal reasons with the school. However, he was beginning to believe that his speech lead to everyone disliking him because he said something that might of affected their confidence in wanting to become an Ultimate or rather, they were completely jealous of his passion for this school. Whichever the case, he didn't let it bother him too much; he wasn't bullied too often after his speech but it was more verbal than physical in his case. But he kept hoping that they would maybe come around and understand where he was coming from; although it was very difficult to make friends in the environment he was in.

It reached to 9:00am as Hajime got out of his deep thoughts taking his seat in the far back right to the window. He began looking out as he thought about his friend at his previous high school and about the main building at Hope's Peak.

Ding Dong Ding Dong

"Good Morning, Today is a beautiful day with full of sunshine and no cloud in the skies. Make this day something to remember. Before I go there is an important announcement, I would like to remind everyone that the short holiday spring break will be coming up and the parents meeting too and those who don't have parents can bring their guardians. The steering committee is proud to meet everyone that has gifted you all with the faith and challenges that has led you to where you are today. The meeting will be held in the main foyer at 10 o' clock on Sunday morning, they will then be taken around to see the inside of the school and afterwards have refreshments in the gymnasium. You may also wear your casual clothing's for this occasion. I hope to see you all there. Have a great day!" replied the principle Jin Kirigiri

The PA system shuts off in static tone and everyone in the room starts to talk out loud anxiously. One student with long black hair with dreadlocks looks over at the blonde medium hair person sitting to their left.

(Beautiful Morning Music Ends...)

(Nightmare of Hope's Peak Music Plays...)

"Sucks that we can't bring our parents".

"I know! Why does all the Ultimate's get to bring their families?! It's not fair!" replied the blonde hair, tightening his fist in fury slamming his hand on the desk.

Another person shouts in short jet black hair with a Mohawk haircut at the other two students.

"They should bring us more options but they don't have time for us because were just from the Reserves Department".

"And they been doing this for a couple years now" replied a man with a buzz cut.

"Maybe...they're going to get around to us. Let's just give it some time" replied Hajime as he spoke up.

"What are you saying? That the steering committee is going to just easily believe to spend their money more on us too, you're living in a fantasy if you think it will be easy to find something like that to happen" replied the mohawk hair girl.

"He's probably just jealous but too afraid to admit it!" shouted another girl with long red hair sitting behind the mohawk girl.

"No that's not true!" shouted Hajime Hinata as he stood up from his chair slamming both of his hands on the desk.

"Enough!" exclaimed the teacher who entered the room quickly as he slammed the door with his one hand dramatically smacking the wall. The room went completely silent as they were all anxious and scared from their teacher. His eyes laid on every single student as he stood remaining in his spot until he looked over to Hajime's way.

"Tell me, Hajime...what is the problem?" he asked wanting a quick response. Hajime looks around at the students for a second anxious and then to the teacher confidently.

"I believe that we should have the rights to have our parents and guardians for the meeting as well" the teacher raised an eyebrow and then laughed. The students gasped puzzled by the teachers actions and by Hajime standing up to their teacher. Not only that Hajime was taken back by his teacher's response too. The class started to whisper and then the teacher stopped laughing staring at the class. They said nothing again and the teacher continued as he stared at Hajime with ease.

"There's nothing that we can do. You're just going to have to deal with the regulations that this school offers you" he then walked towards his desk and faced the chalkboard.

'That's a lie...like he knows anything about taking any action...he just wants to get paid and then be out of our way...' thought Hajime clenching his fists as he sits down.

"Now, everyone turn to page 25 in your notebooks, will be talking about how we can create strategies in making a difference in society and how it can affect our everyday lives..." he replied as he started to write the title on the chalkboard. Hajime opened his book reluctantly and placed his pencil in his hands flipping it slowly between his fingers looking at it bored.

'I must become an Ultimate...but why did I come here? How is it going to advance all of us if the steering committee won't even let us bring our families...they're all just hypocrites.'

He looks back at the board annoyed, seeing the teacher finished writing the title in neatly and Hajime begins to start writing it down.

'I'll just keep going and see where these lesson will lead me, I'll keep learning if I just take part, I know I have a talent...I...I am...an Ultimate! Besides...'

He stares out again at the window to his right, as 32 other students were listening to the teacher.

'What makes us all see that we can't become one?'

9:01am

(Prep School Reserves Department)

(Cool Morning Music Plays...)

Everyone has now gathered back at Hope's Peak Academy. The reserves department students were all down as they were not able to go see their parents during the very short holiday spring break and they felt very distant from everyone as most of them just spent time in their dorms but Hajime tried to remain happy about it. Hajime Hinata was walking to his locker as he opened it up and grabbed his notebook. He then made his way to class as he was lightly smiled looking around the hallways and feeling a little anxious from his classmates.

'I wonder what we will be learning today...' he thought a bit bored.

He then enters his classroom and sees that mostly everyone was seated. However, there was a couple of the staff members from the steering committee; including the principle Jin Kirigiri; standing in front of the class.

'W-what's going on?!' thought Hinata dumbfounded.

"Looks like everyone is here" replied his teacher looking at Hajime sternly. Jin and two of the board of trustee staff members; were all looking at Hajime as made his way in.

Hajime then took his seat and looked around to see everyone's faces. They all seem to be anxious and nervous from the looks of it as they were talking to one another. He turns to look in front of the class and sees their teacher put his one hand up to silence them. The classroom then becomes silent as Jin looked at each and every one of the students.

"I'm glad you are all well and back here safely at Hope's Peak Academy" replied Jin Kirigiri with a smile. He pauses for a moment and then continues.

"Now you may be wondering why we are all here today before you, let me tell you that we are here to offer you...an opportunity" he stops for a moment to let that sink in.

"An opportunity to become an Ultimate" replied Jin. Hajime and the rest of the class gasped as they began to chatter.

"An Ultimate no way!" cried a female student with long black wavy hair.

"Is he serious?!" cried a male student with short orange hair. The teacher then again places his hand up into the air to silence them again.

"Now you all must know that this is voluntary and that its up to you to decide whether you want to do this or not" replied Jin.

No one said a word as they remained silent. Jin Kirigiri placed his hands behind his waist as he was resting them there; and looking politely at all of the students in the classroom with a serious expression.

"Alright here's what I'll do, I'll hand out this sheet of paper and whoever receives the highest score in the class, will get their chance to be an Ultimate" replied Jin grabbing the pieces of paper on the teachers desk.

He then gives some to the two board of trustee staff members to hand them out to the students; while he then gives the other half to the teacher of the reserves department. As soon as the papers were on everyone's desk they looked up to see Jin smiling gleefully.

"Best of luck, everyone!" replied Jin proudly.

'My dream...is finally coming true!' thought Hajime gleefully.

(Underground Trial Music Plays...)

Hajime Hinata then looks down at the piece of paper and writes down his answers with his pencil as followed:

(Hope's Peak Academy- A Chance to become an Ultimate)

Welcome student of Hope's Peak Academy in the reserves department! Please read the questions carefully and make sure to answer each one truthfully. Best of Luck!

Name: Hajime Hinata

Question 1: Why do you want to become an Ultimate?

I want to become an Ultimate because I believe that whenever given a special talent, you should embrace it to the best of your abilities and make the most out of it. I also believe that if you become an Ultimate you are given a title and that you must keep it to heart. Once your an Ultimate your life will be to work as hard as you can to the fullest on your natural ability. Not only that, an Ultimate is a symbol to shine upon to others and use their talent to teach them their ways. Whether they may not significantly be strong in your ability, all that truly matters is that you show them as much as you can and guide them to a brighter future.

Question 2: What is your purpose to achieve in this school?

My purpose to achieve in Hope's Peak Academy is to learn as many things as I possibly can. Working hard in school and doing after chores is only part of the things that I want to accomplish. I will do much more, such as volunteering in school activities, joining a club, fundraising for the school, join sport activities, create a better mind set and etc... One thing I learned about achieving something that you dream for is that you have to want it, if you really hope for it and make it happen; then new support and challenges will guide you along the way to make it happen. And I've always admired Hope's Peak Academy since I was child. No matter what, I will always love this school if I'm given the opportunity to become an Ultimate or not! Because talent is always a gift that's been given to all of us within our hearts. Not to used as a label.

Question 3: How will you benefit this school's reputation?

I would benefit this school's reputation by showing respectful care and effort to the local environment. I would also be able to share and express my ideas on what there is to improve. It's also important to know how you will resemble yourself when you are in situation given by your talent and how to pursue in keeping it. Hope is stronger than fear, you got fear throughout your entire life but if you can understand that Hope is a guidance to open a gateway to new possibilities; then you are set for life. Believe in who you are and keep living on with pride. That's how I will benefit myself here.

Time was up and everyone handed in their sheets of paper. One of the trustee staff members shuffled all the papers together and handed it to Jin and then Jin looked again at everyone in the class.

"Thank-you everyone for taking the time to fill this out, I hope to notify you all sometime in the next couple weeks on the results" replied Jin Kirigiri giving a light bow. The rest of the staff and Jin Kirigiri then leave the classroom.

"Okay class, turn your pages to 273 and will take up our notes on Trigonometry" replied the teacher beginning to write on the board.

Hajime Hinata sat there in deep thought and admiration as he went day dreaming.

'I wonder...if I'll be chosen to become the next Ultimate...I guess I'll know soon enough...' thought Hajime as he smiled.

(Jin Kirigiri's Head Office)

(The Housekeeper Saw! Music Plays...)

12:00pm

Jin was looking at the answers that he received from the 2,358 people from the Reserve's course. He came across a lot of good answers throughout the 2 weeks when he had spare time but so far they didn't seem to have the exact spark he was looking for at the moment.

"No, we need someone who is interested in Hope's Peak Academy...not pretending to be" said Jin quietly to himself and lightly sighing.

He then took the next sheet from the pile, surprisingly this one was kind of long on the answers and it seemed like a lot of the others. Although he read through it and for some reason the person's answer inspired the principle.

"This is it!" replied Jin as he got out of his chair and looked at the paper to see the person's name; it read Hajime Hinata.

"Hajime Hinata...you truly are going to be something" smiled Jin Kirigiri.

He was thinking about looking through the other ones to see if there was a better one but he came to the conclusion that this was the perfect answer that he was looking for all along. He placed the paper on the table and took a few minutes placing the rest of the papers into the garbage.

"...I can't wait" replied Jin to himself as he then placed Hajime's answer in a special folder beside his desk, the label read: Hope Cultivation Plan.

Suddenly, he heard a knock from his door as Jin relaxed back in his chair again; lightly sighing to himself.

"You can come in" replied Jin crossing his hands to together.

The door swings open as the tallish figure makes his way in very casually and lightly stumbling.

"Ahhh, I hope I was not interrupting anything" replied the man with a small white hat fedora. His uniform was quite formal too with a white tuxedo, with a green undershirt and black vest top, with a blue, almost grey tie. He also had light blue eyes, with ragged blonde hair, a goatee and a pencil thin mustache.

In his hand he was holding a small silver flask while he took a little sip as he made his way closer to the principle's desk.

"Not at all, Koichi Kizakura" replied Jin firmly.

'Though you're still the same as always...' thought Jin slightly irritated.

"You sound more formal than usual, something on your mind?" asked Koichi as he stopped in his tracks.

Koichi and Jin are good friends and known each other for a long while. With the talent of Koichi's good intuition, reliable and quick-witted personality; he became the scout at Hope's Peak Academy. His talent was as good as analyzing a person's true character and would know if they'd be seek fit to join the academy in the first place.

Jin paused for a moment as he closed his eyes and then began to spoke very slowly at first choosing his words.

"I believe I found a candidate to participate in the Hope Cultivation Plan", Koichi looked at Jin with eyes opening a bit with curiosity.

"Oh? That's quite a surprise. Didn't think you'd find someone that quick" replied Koichi as he grabbed his hat to lift it up a little.

"Well, given the circumstance this might not be successful. I still got to speak with the steering committee about this" replied Jin feeling a bit doubtful.

"It sure looks that way, but may I ask who the person's name is?" asked Koichi curiously.

"Hajime Hinata" replied Jin.

Huh, Hajime Hinata" replied Koichi repeating his name; trying to get an idea on what type of person he may be characteristically. He then looked over to see a folder beside Jin on his desk and walked towards it.

"May I?" asked Koichi looking at the folder and then towards Jin.

Jin nods his head. He picks it up off the desk and opens the folder looking at the boy's profile picture, then flipping the page again to see his answers. After a few moments he finished reading them and placed it back on his desk.

"Seems to be very motivated on his opinions, yet a bit cynical or rather a realist. Although I got to admit, the guy seems quite smart and logical on key ideas. Maybe a little to skeptical at times when worrying about others. Overall, deep down it seems like he's generally pleasant giving us advice here" replied Koichi

"So what do you think? Do you think he's qualified to become an Ultimate of Hope?" asked Jin.

'The fact that were giving a person a talent with just hope seems a bit far fetched...' thought Koichi.

"Given by his words, I'd say he's interested with true passion" replied Koichi.

"I thought the same, every other student was believing that it was just for fame, fortune or even a label. In Hajime's case however, appears to have only just pure gratitude for it" replied Jin.

He then leans forward and smiles.

"Koichi, let's get a hold of the steering committee and set a meeting for tomorrow afternoon; will get the rest of the organization to have a debate" replied Jin.

"A debate? Ahhh, well suppose the steering committee won't be taking this lightly, but I'll make sure to pass on this information" replied Koichi taking another sip as he turns around to walk away.

"Koichi" replied Jin slightly irritated in his tone of voice.

Koichi stops in his tracks and turns his head around to look in the corner of his eye.

"Hm?"

"If you continue to drink during school hours, I'll have no choice but to replace you" replied Jin firmly.

"I understand very well, however if it comes down to it; I'll always help to keep scouting for students; which reminds me I already got one yesterday" replied Koichi turning around walking over and placing the profile picture of the young female on his desk.

"It's the young singer pop idol, Sayaka Maizono" replied Koichi.

"Very well, I hope to hear about more students that you encounter; after all I trust you're intuition" replied Jin.

(Steering Committee Building)

1:00pm

Everyone in the steering committee building, was gathered inside the main conference room. There was at least 45 people present there, it was Jin, Kazuo Tengan who used to be the headmaster of Hope's Peak Academy but now the Advisor to the school were sitting at the front, then there was four main steering committee members who were all closer to middle age between seniors sitting beside them, some of the board of trustee staff members and lastly the other staff who are involved with the Hope Cultivation Plan sat all around the table.

The room was very intense as some had their eyes on the principle of the school. Although there was still a few moments before he was about to speak as the rest were talking amongs each other. He was sitting right beside a projector as he felt mostly calm but slightly anxious.

"This will be quite interesting to hear Jin, as i'm sure you will do fine" replied Kazuo with a light smile. Kazuo knows only very little information on Hope Cultivation Plan, although there's somewhere in his heart that he feels this project should not be done. He's not exactly sure why, but he was soon about to find out for himself.

"I suppose, however it won't be easy to convince everyone here" replied Jin feeling a bit cynical.

"Not everyone may agree, but no matter the circumstances there will be a decision made once this meeting is over" replied Kazuo.

"...Right" replied Jin with a light nod.

"Alright, everyone!" replied Jin loud enough for everyone in the room to hear him as he slowly rose from his seat.

They all grew silent as they all now had their eyes on him.

"As everyone here knows, were here to discuss about the Hope Cultivation Plan" replied Jin, he goes quiet for a a couple seconds and then continues.

"I believe that I've found a qualified candidate to take part into this position" replied Jin. Most of the room seemed a bit surprised but also skeptical.

"And who exactly may this candidate be?" asked the oldest person out of the four very sternly.

"His name is Hajime Hinata" replied Jin as he turned on the projectile. A second later the light came on and his profile picture was seen by everyone.

"He's enrolled in the Reserve's Course Department, and has-" Jin then was interrupted.

"Hold on? From the Reserve's Course? You must be joking right?" asked a male A trustee staff member.

"Well-" replied Jin but interrupted again.

"How can a no talented person be even qualified for this project?" asked a female A trustee staff member.

The four steering committee members remained silent as they ignored the disagreements that some of the other members felt about their plan and felt that it was only necessary to intervene if the situation got out of hand.

"May I say something here, if I may" replied Kazuo cutting everyone short all of a sudden. They looked towards his way as Kazuo cleared his throat.

"You all may be very right about what you're all saying, on the other hand I'm still confused as to what exactly this candidate will be qualified to do in this project; would anyone like to share for everyone in here to be clarified on this matter?" asked Kazuo.

Most of them look at each other as some look at him puzzled. It was almost like they knew except for him.

"I believe I can explain all of that to everyone!" replied a skinny man with glasses wearing a lab coat as he stood up.

"Splendid, let's all hear it" replied Kazuo.

(Old World Order Music Plays...)

"The Hope Cultivation plan for everyone here knows that it's to create a greater hope than anyone can imagine for this school and community. We want to strive at making a difference for our founder Izuru Kamukura. So as for further planning, we are deciding who to choose that will qualify to have the most dedication to this school and future as we plan to proceed with this project of ours" replied the skinny man with glasses.

"I see, so what is this project called may I ask?" replied Kazuo.

"It's called...The Izuru Kamukura Project" replied another person male beside the skinny man. He was also wearing a lab coat as many of the middle aged people here were wearing.

"Hey! I'll explain everything here! Shut it!" shouted the skinny man losing his temper.

"Silence! We will not tolerate rude behavioral actions in this room. If you intend to do it again, you will be kicked out of this room" replied the stern old man out of the four of the steering committee.

"Sorry, sir it won't happen again" replied skinny man as he lightly bowed.

"Good, please continue" replied the stern man.

"As goes for the Izuru Kamukura Project, we will have this chosen candidate to be tested on every part of his physical body, mind and spirit-" he was then interrupted by Kazuo as he stood up a bit shocked. Everyone looked at him as he was sweating a bit nervously.

"What do you mean? Are you suggesting experimentation?!" replied Kazuo slightly raising his voice.

Everyone else in the room seem to be calm and looked at him a bit shocked.

"Yes, we plan to artificially create talent within this person, erasing their personality, memories, senses and emotions. To create a genius among geniuses, this person will be complete talent beyond talent. This person will be known as the Ultimate of Hope and will call this person...Izuru Kamukura" replied the skinny man with glasses.

'I don't believe it...there're using the reserve course dropouts as...lab rats' thought Kazuo shamefully.

"...I see, I understand now. Thank you for clarifying it" replied Kazuo as he sat back down in his chair.

"This may be a lot to take in Advisor, but we've been researching on talents within the Ultimate's for years since this academy opened and now we are ready to proceed further with this plan" replied the skinny man with glasses.

"So why are we all specially choosing to go with the Reserve Course Students, when we can have the Main Course students participate? Wouldn't it be more significant if a person with already a talent be qualified to create hope itself?" asked another male trustee staff member.

"I agree, it's futile to have dropouts become of use to this academy" replied another female B trustee staff member.

The other trustee staff members nod their heads.

"I disagree!" replied Jin slightly raising his voice to give everyone his attention.

(Old World Order Music Ends...)

"..." they all looked at him seriously. Almost as they were kind of pissed. He ignored their stares and looked at everyone in the room with pride and confidence.

"It doesn't matter whether the student is with a talent or not, every human being has a gift, some may be a whole lot different than others but..." Jin then places both of his hands on the table looking down for a moment and then speaks up before anyone could object his statement.

"Everyone has the strength and hope to pursue something when they put their mind to it. If a person who spreads enough gratitude, motivation and dedication to their selves to their achievements than there's nothing that they can't do!" replied Jin with a deep positive fact.

"Which is why, Hajime Hinata is perfect to be the candidate for this project, I hope all of you will reconsider it" replied Jin finally finishing his statement.

"...Are you implying that a speech with platitudes will suffice our interest? Do you understand that this person has no talent, a person with no talent; has no hope" replied C male trustee staff member.

"That's where you're wrong, in fact he does have a talent; and I think the best way to see that is for all of yourselves to meet this candidate in person" replied Jin.

Everyone then began to chatter to each other for a few moments and then one of the members for the project spoke up.

"I'd say we will abide to this offer!" replied a middle aged female with medium length pink hair.

"Fine" sighed a C female trustee staff member.

"Okay, the four of us agree to meeting him as well but, if he turns out to be what we do not see in him; we will decide to abandon the reserve course students from this project entirely" replied the tallest tanned man in the steering committee.

"Thank-you very much" replied Jin lightly nodding.

After about a couple minutes pass the steering committee give a final statement before the meeting is concluded.

"We will all arrange to meet this person as of this Friday, same time as of this meeting; if late he will be expelled from this school, and never to be shown here again. However, if we decide he is not chosen to be our candidate; our offer will be excluded from him and he'll be able to return to the Reserve's course" replied the shortest old man from the steering committee.

"Understood" replied Jin as he was slightly anxious.

'Maybe expelling him is going too far for just a meeting but, I can agree to these terms...since this is a big event for Hope's Peak Academy' thought Jin.

"One other thing, if however we accept this candidate and he chooses to hear out our offer and declines it...will erase his memories about the project and will still expel him from this academy. I hope you are prepared for those consequences" replied the tall stern old man out of the four.

"I understand, sir" replied Jin.

"Let us hope, you are right, Jin Kirigiri" replied the round middle aged man from the steering committee.

'I suppose that's understandable but...it's almost like having this student lose his hope...wish there was another way' thought Jin disappointed.

Kazuo looked at Jin a bit concerned but suspicious at the same time. As he felt that everything that the committee, scientists and other staff trustees were doing was completely, utterly wrong. And to him he believed this academy as of now was reaching to the beginning of falling down a road they should not have ever crossed. As Jin and the rest of the staff left except for the steering committee; they kept the candidates answers and they were all reviewing every word he said. Moments later and they all chat briefly about him.

"I wonder if he can truly be the candidate we are looking for" replied the round middle aged man.

"He seems very straight forward" replied the tallest tan man in the room crossing his arms.

"But a bit arrogant" replied the shortest old man.

"Let's hope that pride of his, is what we've been waiting for...or he'll never feel the day of pride as long as he sees fit" replied the stern tall old man.

(Reserves Course Department)

10:17am

The classroom section where Hajime Hinata was in was quiet as every student was working on a test. It was a bit struggling for some of the students who were sighing under their breath but Hajime was acing quickly as he wrote every answer heartedly down on paper. Soon enough he was finished and brought it up to the teachers desk.

"All done" replied Hajime placing it on his desk.

"Thank-you" replied the teacher as Hajime was making his way back to his seat.

20 minutes pass as Hajime daydreamed about life, his career, his future and most of all; imagining what it would be like to be an Ultimate. He pictures himself sitting in a class with a bunch of Ultimate's and doing multiple tasks throughout the day. He thought about his class finding they don't even do fun activities; everyday its just writing and studying. Its been boring for him, however he's been enduring the excitement and hope for this school since when he first entered here on his first day. It's been a couple months now but he believed that if he didn't become an Ultimate; that he would still get a good reputation on his resume to get a certified job in the working industry before he graduated here.

As more of the students were finishing up the teacher began to speak up.

"Once everyone is done we will have a 30 minute break and begin with other assignment from our science sub topics" replied the teacher.

Everyone finished and all left the class making down the hallways heading to the little cafeteria they had in their department. As Hajime Hinata was walking down close to the cafeteria, he saw a tall man standing with his arms resting on his front and looking at all the students with a smile. As he got closer, he realized that it was the principle of Hope's Peak Academy; Jin Kirigiri.

'What's the principle of the school doing here?!' thought Hajime shocked.

As he got close to the principle, he looked towards his way and smiled at him kindly. He then gestured him to come over to him. As he makes his way over to the principle he was beginning to feel a high spirits of hope.

"You must be Hajime Hinata from the Reserves Course Department" replied Jin.

"Yes I am, Mr. Kirigiri" replied Hajime giving a light bow.

"You can call me Jin" replied Jin lightly chuckling.

"Yes sir!" replied Hajime with pride.

"Now you must be wondering why I'm here before you" replied Jin.

"Well, I got an idea why your here Jin, sir!" replied Hajime.

"Then you must know what I'm about to offer you" replied Jin smiling.

"Wait!? You mean...your choosing me to become an Ultimate!" replied Hajime shocked.

"That's right" replied Jin giving a nod.

"I can't believe it...this is an honor sir!" cried Hajime excited.

"I'm glad to hear that!" chuckled Jin.

"So how do I become an Ultimate?" replied Hajime firing a question.

"I will explain all the details later, once your done with your classes for the day; come stop by my office and will have a meeting" replied Jin.

'I'm getting access to go into the restricted district! This is incredible!' thought Hajime happily.

"However, I need you to keep me one promise, can you do that?" replied Jin.

Hajime gave a nod.

"You must not tell any of your classmates or the teacher about your offer to enroll as an Ultimate" replied Jin seriously but very firmly.

"Okay, but why?" asked Hajime confused.

"It must remain confidential, otherwise it may rise chaos in this department; the last thing I would want to do is assemble a debate for this opportunity opened to others" replied Jin.

"I understand, I'll keep quiet about this" replied Hajime truthfully.

"Good, I'll see you after school" replied Jin giving a friendly smile as he walked away. He disappeared around the corner and Hajime had a little smile on his face as he made his way inside the cafeteria.

'I wonder why its so secret about being offered a chance to be an Ultimate...I guess I'll figure it out after school! Then I'll fully have my answers...' thought Hajime triumphantly with determination.

(Outside of the Reserves Course Department District Building)

3:35pm

Hajime wearing his black formal jacket was walking his way down the sidewalk as snow was lightly falling on the ground. He could see about 4 blocks up the road ahead of him of the tall building of the big Ultimate district campus of Hope's Peak Academy that he encountered once when he came here on his first day. However, after a few minutes he slowly made his way closer to the elegant big gates of the main entrance; he was beginning to smile with a smirk on his face as he felt a strong nostalgic feeling inside of him.

'Hope's Peak Academy...I'm finally going to become an Ultimate...it's like a dream come true!' thought Hajime as he was almost at the gates.

He then stopped looking up at the big building again for the second time in his life as he could see the afternoon sun was lightly gleaming on the cloud on the highest point of the building. Looking down he lightly clenches his hand as he stares at the big door beyond him slightly anxious.

'Well let's go...and open a new gate to the future' thought Hajime.

He steps inside the gates when suddenly a guard stops him.

"Hey! This is a restricted area! Only the main course student's are allowed here" replied the one officer coming to block his way.

"Huh? But I was given permission to meet the principle here for a meeting" replied Hajime.

"I didn't hear anything about that, do you have proof?" asked the security guard.

'Why didn't the principle let the security guards know? What the hell!' thought Hajime a bit furious.

"Let him through" replied another security guard. Hajime looked at the other officer with a sign of hope on his face.

"What, but we don't know-" replied the first security officer but was interrupted.

"If the boy is lying, will know by the other staff" replied the second officer.

"I suppose you're right" replied the first officer.

"Okay go on ahead" replied the second officer.

Hajime gave a nod and walked passed them.

"Why did you let him go, it's not like you" replied the second officer puzzled.

"I was informed by the principle that only one student from the reserves course would show up to the gates, and if that person did; than they would be allowed to have access" replied the first officer.

"What his name?" asked the second officer curious and yet a bit suspicious.

"He didn't say" replied the first officer crossing his arm sighing. "But it really irritates me...and I'm beginning to wonder if were even getting paid enough for this job" replied the first officer.

Hajine Hinata makes his way down the long wide cobblestone sidewalk soon getting closer to the door. Once he's inside he gets to the main foyer, then looks around and could see no else was around.

'If I keep walking forward it will eventually lead me down to the gymnasium...although I have no idea where the principle's office is in this big school...and the last thing I want is to get lost...' thought Hajime feeling a bit doubtful.

After about 5 minutes he was able to reach the headmaster's office on the fourth floor of the school. Luckily he was able to find a guidance map near the main foyer and get there. As stood in his track he could see the big wooden doors down the hallway as he felt his hands begin to sweat and feel quite anxious.

'The Headmaster's Office...okay let's go!' thought Hajime a bit excited.

He made his way down the little hallway casually and then stopped knocking on the door.

(Inside the Headmaster's Office)

4:00pm

*KNOCK KNOCK*

"Come in!" replied Jin.

The door opened and Hajime made his way inside. As he looked inside he was amazed by how beautiful, neat and high class the office was to him. The window was glowing brightly behind the principle as he was sitting in his chair; however there was two other people in the room with him. There was a middle aged man with a white fedora hat known as Koichi Kizakura and then an older man who was slightly slouching named Kazuo Tengan.

"You're here right on time" replied Jin.

"So you must be Hajime, nice to meet you; I'm Kazuo Tengan the advisor and former principle at Hope's Peak Academy" replied Kazuo as he walks over to shake Hajime's hand.

"Oh, it's honor to meet you and former principle?!" replied Hajime a bit shocked. Kazuo lightly chuckles and smiles as he takes his hand away from the shake.

"There's a limit to where you can stay as a principle, and my time was sure enduring. It's so good to have youth" replied Kazuo. Hajime makes a wry face and cautiously responds.

"Yeah, I suppose so" replied Hajime.

"It seems you have a lot on your plate, although you look quite composed for this situation" replied Kaichi walking closer to Hajime's personal space.

"Well, this is one in a lifetime opportunity and I feel quite prepared for this!" replied Hajime backing up a bit acting seriously but a bit irritated.

"Ahhh, I see. Well it's nice to meet you too. I'm Koichi Kizakura, the scouter and one of the main teachers here at this school" replied Koichi giving an impressed smile.

'So he's the one who scouts the ultimate's...seems a bit too carefree from what I imagined...' thought Hajime disappointed.

"No need to be shy standing there, come sit and we'll all discuss everything" replied Jin.

Hajime made his way over and sat across from the principle. As Koichi and Kazuo sat on the black leather coaches from each side from where Hajime was sitting looking at Jin. He was quite anxious about what there was to know about becoming an Ultimate but he was excited either way that he was planning to be one; though he wasn't sure what his talent was going to be; the thought stayed in his mind as the principle began to speak.

"I'll first off tell you that I'm pleased to meet someone as special as you. You don't realize how much potential you'll have for this school. Now you must be wondering what your talent is going to be..." replied Jin pausing as giving Hajime a chance to speak up.

"I do sir! And thank-you. I'm happy to be here" replied Hajime. Jin smiled for a moment and then spoke up again.

"There's a reason why I chose you for this proposition. Out of all the 2,358 students in the reserves department, you were the only one that stood out the most who was pleased about the true nature of the Ultimate's" replied Jin. Hajime was a bit shocked but nodded his head.

"Now..." replied Jin as he leaned a bit forward crossing his fingers together.

(Danganronpa 3: Puzzle to the Truth)

"Before anything is to be proceeded with this offer, I'd like to invite you personally first visit the Steering Committee staff members for a meeting" replied Jin.

"Okay, when will this be held?" asked Hajime curiously. He had a feeling that the principle, the scouter and the advisor were not the only ones to decide on deciding his enrollment and immediately understood that it was understandable.

"Tomorrow at 1pm in the Steering Committee building...you must know something however" replied Jin.

Hajime looked at him a bit bewildered.

"If you decide to not attend this meeting or choose to be late...you'll be expelled from this school" replied Jin leaving out the other detail. He knew telling him that would make him do something that would probably be troublesome for their school and he wouldn't be able to live with himself. As much as it bothered him about that fact, he knew that this project had to be kept confidential at all times and besides; only the steering committee can tell him everything; it's just not in his authority.

"W-what!? Aren't you the one to make that decision?" shouted Hajime as he got out of his seat.

"I know it's unfair, but that is not my decision in this particular matter...it's theirs" replied Jin lightly sighing.

"That doesn't make any sense! Why would they do something that's out of the question? I mean, come on sir! They-" replied Hajime but was interrupted.

"Mr. Hinata, please, we don't want this either for your sake but the steering committee is very strict here at our Academy and there isn't anything we can do" replied Jin.

"The principle may have the decision in most cases yes, but if the steering committee decides it against the principle than they have the higher advantage in authority" replied Kazuo.

"Not like it's never been that way, it always has been; and always will be" replied Koichi moving his hat forward as he looked at Hajime seriously.

"This is..." replied Hajime looking at the ground clenching his fist in distress.

"We want you to succeed, none of us here finds this easy but, if we get your full corporation; the steering committee may change their mind on whether to expel you or not" replied Jin very seriously now.

"So if I go to this meeting, and they decide that they don't want me to be an Ultimate...does that mean I'll just go back to the Reserve's Course?" replied Hajime concerned.

"...That just may be the case" replied Jin closing his eyes with his hands crossed.

"...Dammit" replied Hajime falling into despair as he clenched his fist tighter looking at with his eyes showing frustration. The other two on the couches were as concerned in their own ways as they felt it was totally uncalled for by the regulations too.

The way things were going for Hajime Hinata's dreams felt that they weren't going to be as easy as he thought.

'Why is the steering committee doing this to me?! I didn't do anything wrong, it just doesn't make any sense at all...' thought Hajime.

"You do however have the choice to hear out their offer or decline to hear it; the choice is yours" replied Jin with a calm and serious tone.

'Really?! So I have a chance to hear them out? But I suppose that's only if I go and they accept me but...everyone...they all think I'm talent-less but...I...I' thought Hajime as images pop back in his mind from all the years he tried to reach to this point.

Hajime then let goes of his clenching hand and lowers it down slowly.

"It won't be easy to convince them as they-" replied Jin but was interrupted.

(Puzzle to the Truth Ends...)

"I'll convince them" replied Hajime as his voice slightly changed with a more pure confident tone. The other two who had their eyes closed opened them as they were curious from his response.

(Danganronpa 3: High Speed Action Music Plays...)

"I'll convince every single one of them in that room, that I...am not here for just the sake of becoming an Ultimate but...for the sake of never giving up on the dreams that I truly desire to make all the difference in the world...the difference to keep changing! And to keep learning about life itself!" replied Hajime as he placed a fist to his chest with a serious tone of pride.

The three looked at him shocked by his very short content speech and Jin who was mainly composed the entire time; gave the first big smile that he's seen on his face.

"Good, I'm sure we have hope you'll do great." replied Jin.

8:20pm

The three who were there a few hours before with the Reserve Course student in the Headmaster's Office were now altogether again sitting around talking a bit about the preparations for the future to come.

"You think it's best you didn't tell him details about the reason they're looking for a person to join on this experiment" replied Kazuo concerned.

"..." Jin closed his eyes as he went into deep thought.

(Flashback)

"The Ultimate...of Hope?" replied Hajime shocked.

Jin nods his head and uncrosses his hands.

"We been researching about Ultimate's for a long time, and now we've came to decide that the Reserve Course students were the only ones to be picked for this particular talent...as I mentioned before; the one who stood out the most to fit this profile was...you, Hajime Hinata" replied Jin.

(Flashback Ends)

"Yeah it's for the best" replies Jin.

"I really am against this but, you probably have a point" replies Kazuo

"It all comes down to what they suggest tomorrow, I suppose" replies Koichi

"Indeed" replies Jin, they all remain silent as the night draws thin; hoping tomorrow is a better day.

(Steering Committee Faculty Building)

The only people in the room were Jin, Koichi, Kazuo, the four steering committee members and Hajime. The atmosphere was very intense as the meeting throughout the afternoon was tedious for everyone but especially Hajime.

"So why do you think we should have you as a candidate for this project?" asks the tallest steering committee member.

"I believe that talent is not just for the sake of having it but to put it to good use and no matter what stands in the way of it...you just got to keep trying harder no matter what! If you decide to accept me as your candidate, I'll show you that I'm someone who doesn't give up easily at all...that's all I got to say" replies Hajime at the near end of their meeting.

They all talked among themselves and then the shortest steering committee member spoke up.

"We've come to decide about you're participation and that with your idealistic speech before that...you are qualified for the project"

Hajime Hinata smiles but still he felt like he didn't want to accept it for some reason at that moment.

"So are you ready to begin?" asks the middle tallish steering committee member.

"I believe I need a little time to think about it" replies Hajime truthfully.

"Sure, but you'll only have about two months at maximum to decide, otherwise the deal for your participation is off" replies the oldest man from the steering committee.

"I understand" replies Hajime.

They all leave and Hajime spoke with Koichi, Kazuo and Jin for a few moments about his indecisive choice and told them that he needed awhile to think about it and then as days passed; the three of them would check up on him to see if got his answer but still he needed time to think over about it. After all this type of an opportunity is just what he was hoping for, although for some reason he felt as if it wasn't the right thing that he may be dreaming of; in the end it comes down whether he wants to do it or not. Otherwise, someone else will be chosen to take the position but Hajime has yet to let his chance go; hopefully he will decide soon.
