Hope's Peak Academy

Kyoko walks around the academy aimlessly as she was still heartbroken from last night's tragedy and couldn't get over the despair she was feeling. She tightens her fists as she looks at her gloves and closes her eyes trying not to cry.

'I can't let my emotions get the better of me...if he's dead I got to not let the mission die in vain! No matter how much it hurts I got to not let it cloud my judgement to bring those bitches to justice!' thought Kyoko feeling a bit determined, yet still letting the emotions embodying her into the feeling of utter despair.

Suddenly she notices younger Naegi making his way ahead of him and she froze. Naegi was looking at a card with a big smile on his face as he then looks up to notice her.

"Oh! Kyoko!" cries Naegi running over to her. Kyoko was tightening her grip even more as she couldn't bare to look at him.

"..."

"H-hey? What's wrong?" asks Naegi curiously as he notices her being a bit stiff with him.

"...I-It's nothing" replies Kyoko trying to reassure him. Naegi looks at her a bit worried slightly as he could immediately detect that she was hiding something.

"Are you sure? You look a little pale" replies Naegi. Kyoko turns her body away from him and begins to walk away.

"I'm fine, don't follow me. I need some time alone" replies Kyoko briskly making her exit.

As she makes her few steps away from him, Naegi grabs her wrist and stops her tracks.

"No! You're wrong! There something on your mind...and I can tell its not a problem you want to keep to yourself!" cries Naegi

"...Let go of me" replies Kyoko slightly whimpering in her voice.

"No I won't, you must understand one thing about me Kyoko...all this time since we started here at Hope's Peak Academy...I found you a very special friend to me and...well...uh...how should I say this...you are an amazing person with such potential!" cries Naegi.

"..." Kyoko remained speechless as the younger Naegi's words were touching her very soul.

"The situations that you've encountered and places you've been as a detective as of now were probably enigmatic to most of us and we would find it daunting but...even detectives can have emotions too! Whatever is bothering you...you can tell me! I'm here to always listen to you Kyoko...so please don't feel like you have to be alone" replies Naegi truthfully within his hopeful heart.

Kyoko tries to hold back the tears flowing down her cheeks and before she knew it she began to cry and turn around to hug Naegi tightly.

"W-whoa!" cries Naegi surprised by the hug slightly blushing.

"Y-you don't even know the half of it! I'm sorry Naegi! I really want to make things right but...but I got to do something very important from here on out" replies Kyoko slightly still crying in her voice.

"H-huh? What do you mean?" replies Naegi slightly puzzled.

"Trust me...that's all I ask" replies Kyoko.

"Ah well um sure" replies Naegi getting a bit flustered. Unexpectedly Kyoko turns her head and whispers in his ear.

"I will bring them to justice once and for all...but be careful...this school isn't safe Naegi-kun..." replies Kyoko backing away from him and letting him go. Naegi was very confused as to Kyoko's reactions but stared at her a bit shocked. Kyoko smiles a bit happily as she begins to walk past him and while he stays still from his position.

Dormitory South District Underground

1:12pm

Ryota was typing away with the software he is working on to complete the brainwashing for Junko although he doesn't know those details. As he was typing away he was thinking about his family members and than randomly about his grandfather.

"I wonder how everyone is? Haven't contacted them in awhile..." replies Ryota to himself. He then looks at the screen wondering what the footage was that Junko had for the software but he still didn't receive it.

'I suppose I will soon find out' thought Ryota.

Security Office

1:26pm

Future Naegi and Juzo make it back into the the security building while they see one other officer in there.

"Your back sir!" replies the young Officer

"Yeah listen I'll need to use the computer, why don't you make yourself useful and go secure the area near the entrance" replies Juzo a bit irritated.

"A-ah okay!" replies the young officer making his way past both of them and shutting the door behind them.

"This should take a few minutes to search the academy security database...by the way should I mention to Yukizome your back?" replies Juzo.

"I don't think that's wise...the less people who know I'm here the better...I get the feeling she will tell Kyoko if we do" replies Naegi wearing his black shades.

"I think your right on that..." replies Juzo sighing knowing very well she can be a hassle sometimes.

A couple minutes pass and Juzo calls Naegi over to the computer.

"There happens to be a student from class 76...his name is Taro Kurosaki...but" replies Juzo a bit irriated.

"What?" replies Naegi a bit curious.

"He's been reported missing since last night" replies Juzo.

"...Shit he's one of the members that was killed in the tragedy..." replies Naegi.

"Afraid so..." replies Juzo feeling hopeless.

"What does the detail about him say?" asks Naegi.

"Well...he appears to be a member of the student council as a community advisory...probably to help assist things for the funding of the school...but his talent is Ultimate Business Man" replies Juzo.

"Then its settled...I'll have to go back and get him before the tragedy takes place" replies Naegi. Juzo sighs slightly.

"I don't know about that idea. If you do won't Junko find out?" replies Juzo.

"Now that I think about it...it will only complicate things" replies Naegi feeling a bit disappointed.

"Hmmm...well that's the only person I could find as a business man..." replies Juzo.

"There's got to be someone else in this school who has a power to control a company" replies Naegi trying to recall anyone else.

"Who exactly could do that? If there is no business man you might as well look for someone who can control the country" replies Juzo. Within that moment future Naegi struck himself with a huge epiphany and knew exactly who to go to but it wouldn't be easy.

"That's right! There is one person...who can do that...but the problem is...it's one of my classmates" replies Naegi. Juzo looks at him sternly and curious by his answer and crossed his arms leaning forwards towards him.

"Yeah? Who exactly?" asks Juzo.

"Byakuya Togami" replies Naegi seriously.

"Wait?! Togami!?" shouts Juzo recognizing the name.

"Yes he will be the gateway to shutting down the factory, but convincing a man like him will be very difficult" replies Naegi.

"How will we be able to convince him?" asks Juzo slightly anxious about the person they were referring.

"I will have to speak to him directly in this form...that's the only way he will believe us but will need to meet him in a location that won't cause suspicion " replied Naegi.

"What do you suggest?" asks Juzo.

"You may not like it but here's what I want you to do..." replies Naegi.

Principle's Office

2:31pm

Jin Kirigiri was sitting in his office when he heard a knock on the door.

"You may come in" replies Jin.

Juzo makes his way into the office and looks at the principle standing as straight as he could to be professional to his boss.

"Has something happened Sakakura?" asks Jin slightly alarmed.

"There's a student that I caught money laundering in this school and I would personally would like you to know who it is" replies Juzo.

"Yes? Who may it be?" asks Jin slightly stressed.

"Byakuya Togami sir!" replies Juzo. Jin raises his eyesbrows with disbelief.

"Are you absolutely sure about this?" asks Jin

"Y-Yes I'm sure" replies Juzo beginning to sweat anxiously.

"Alright, I'll call him here immediately...thank-you" replies Jin turning on the PA system.

"ATTENTION...CAN BYAKUYA TOGAMI REPORT TO THE PRINCIPLE'S OFFICE IMMEDIATELY...THANK-YOU" booms Jin's voice throughout the school.

"I'll message you if I need you to return here, you may go" replies Jin while Sakakura gives a slight bow and leaves the room.

Five minutes pass and Byakuya enters the room slightly confused.

"May I please ask why I was sent here?" asks Byakuya crossing his arms.

"Please have a seat and I will explain everything" replies Jin.

He walks over to the seat and sits down to listen to what the principle of the school had to say to him.

"Now Byakuya tell me the truth...have you been money laundering in this school?" asks Jin seriously.

"W-WHAT!? Why in the world would I do something as low like that...you of all people should know I wouldn't do something as outrageous as that..." replies Byakuya a bit furious.

"..." Jin had nothing to say as he was speechless.

"Whoever set this up I'm going to make sure they will have a difficult life!" replies Byakuya getting up from his seat and as he turns to make for the door; a person opens the door.

When the door opens, Byakuya looks oddly at the person who stood a bit taller than him at around 6' 2" with dark shade sunglasses and a hairstyle just like his one classmate.

"W-who are you? I demand you tell me at once" replies Byakuya irritated. Naegi takes off the shades and smiles at Byakuya while he instantly froze in fear and unable to process what he was seeing before him.

"Hey Byakuya, long time no see...huh" replies future Naegi. His eyes opened very wide that he felt like that they were going to explode and Jin tried to see who it was but quickly grabbed Byakuya and shut the door.

"Listen Byakuya, I come from the future and I need your help" replies Naegi. He looks at him still a bit shocked but tried to speak to him again.

"Please your the only one that can help me stop Junko Enoshima" replies Naegi desperately.

"T-this isn't real! You can't be here, your just a weird figure of my imagination...the low life hopeless little boy is definitely not you! You are an impostor for sure" shouts Byakuya

"I may have grown a lot taller since than but I can assure you I am still that boy" replies Naegi. Then Baykuya pushes him and points his finger at Naegi.

"Don't you ever try to grab me like that again or it may be the last you ever hear the name Togami!" replies Byakuya.

"...Sorry about that, I can't let anyone else know about me because-" replies Naegi calmly.

"I don't have to hear another word that comes out of that mouth because you are nothing but a sack of lying rubbish under the face of the sun that every other 99 percent of human being lives in!" replies Byakuya walking past him.

"I figured as much that you would say that..." replies Naegi sighing and then turning around to knock Byakuya at the side of the temple; instantly placing him on the floor unconscious. Naegi quickly picks him up and makes his way out of the area before Jin could come out. He sees Sakakura in the distance waiting for him as planned and sighs by the look of the unconscious student.

"You understand that if this plan fails...things can go very badly for us" replies Juzo.

"Don't worry, once he hears the truth...he will help us" replies Naegi.

"I hope your right about that one" replies Juzo a bit uneasy.

Interrogation Room, Secret Office

4:03pm

Byakuya opens his eyes slowly and looks around to witness that he is in an interrogation room. The lights were very bright and it wasn't dark like you would see in some movies.

"I'm sorry that I did that to you Byakuya" replies Naegi frowning slightly.

"I got nothing to say to you...you kidnapped me and worst of all you assaulted me...I could put you in court and behind bars from your despicable actions" replies Byakuya about to stand up.

"Then hear me out before you walk out of here, if my evidence is not enough..." replies Naegi pausing for a moment.

"I can ruin your life?" asks Byakuya irritated.

"You can tell the world that I am kidnapper and a dangerous man who wanted to cause chaos to this school" replies Naegi.

"No point. You say your Makoto Naegi, a student from my class that has come to the future to stop another classmate of ours...and for what cause? A childish act. Haven't learned to grow up?" replies Byakuya.

"Then I will admit myself to go to the principle's office with you and tell him everything that I've done to you...I promise you this information I know about what's to come is horrific...anything beyond your wildest dreams is about to embark and...sadly its already begun" replies Naegi.

"Fine. You got five minutes to tell me everything. Don't beat around the bush with me or you'll regret it" replies Byakuya.

"Okay then" replies Naegi. Byakuya stays seated in his seat as he listens to Naegi mention about Junko Enoshima and Mukuro Ikusaba's true nature that they have in store for the school. He mentions Junko's evil scheme that created the tragedy at Hope's Peak last night in the old building, to the robots that are going to be produced shortly at the Towa Factory in Towa city and the future to come for all of them.

"Let me get this straight...our classmates were put into a mutual killing game under the mastermind of our classmate Junko that controlled evil robotic bears as killing machines from inside and outside of the world that caused destruction and despair...and she did this all because she wanted to compete with hope to despair to see who will win?" asks Byakuya.

"I'm being honest here...it's all true" replies Naegi.

"That's a bunch of hypocrisy! Everything your saying is crazy talk?! How can one person come up with all this nonsense and happen to pull it off?" asks Byakuya suspicious of his reasoning. Naegi knew it wouldn't be this easy to win Byakuya over to understand everything but he had something else in mind to offer him to possibly get him to see the truth before him.

"If you give me seven days...I can bring you evidence of everything I'm saying is true..." replies Naegi

"...Alright you don't get any longer! You better not be wasting my time here or so help me it will be the last-" replies Byakuya.

"Don't worry...I can promise you its the truth" replies Naegi looking at Byakuya with comfort in his eyes.

"...Next time come to my dorm instead of calling me out through the public..." replies Byakuya. Naegi shows him his phone and asks to exchange contact information and they do. Byakuya makes his way out of the door and stares him in the eye.

"Let me ask you one last thing...why are you telling me all of this?" asks Byakuya.

"Because I believe you can help save this school..." replies Naegi with utmost confidence.

"I pity you..." replies Byakuya a bit coldly as he then turns around to make his exit to the door.

Naegi looks at the clock on the wall next to the door and sighs.

'Well this will be my only chance to convince him...I can't lose here' thought Naegi.

Monday, January 3rd 2011.

Hope's Peak Academy, East Building

8:57am

Byakuya was walking down the hallway when he noticed Kyoko dressed in her casual detective clothes instead of her school uniform.

"You are aware that today we got to start wearing our school uniforms again" replies Byakuya.

"...I'm aware" replies Kyoko walking past him.

'Why was she sad a few days ago? She said something about not helping someone...wait?! Does she mean?' thought Byakuya.

Future Naegi appears in his mind and just as he was about to approach her about it; he got a text message.

To: Byakuya

I know you are impatient about my evidence...I promise you that today I'm gathering it as we speak. Please don't let anyone know about your knowledge of me. Until I contact you again.

From: Igean

As Byakuya sees Kyoko a bit a ways from him now, he could tell there was something between her and him.

'It would explain her actions from that day and the other times she has been acting strange...he only has five days...it better be convincing' thought Byakuya placing his phone back in his pocket.

Hope's Peak Academy, West Building

10:00am

Future Naegi, Chihiro Fujisaki and Yasuke Matsuda were in the room together. As they all talk with one another they discuss their ways of making this machine work and about working at obtaining Naegi's memories back. Naegi already got some of his memories back but there were still a lot of fragments left that he needed to unlock to be no longer having amnesia.

"How long do you believe it will take to make this machine?" asks Naegi

"Roughly 2 months if we put in the effort to work on it everyday" replies Chihiro

'Dam by then it will be way too late...to tell Byakuya the truth this way...however that shouldn't be a problem' thought Naegi coming up with a good idea.

"Okay no problem by then everything should be ready" replies Naegi.

"Can I ask why you want this made?" asks Yasuke curiously.

"When the time comes you will know and trust me..." replies Naegi.

Matsuda sighs and looks at Chihiro.

"Well lets not waste any time and begin" replies Matsuda. Chihiro brought some parts with her and as they were setting everything on the table, Naegi looked at them with a smile.

"Well I'll be going for now, but here's my contact info when you will like me to come in for a visit" replies Naegi writing on a piece of paper and leaving it on the end table.

"Yeah sure, I'll let you know when you can come in for an update to help get your memories back" replies Matsuda.

As Naegi walks out of the room he puts his shades back on and quickly texts Byakuya.

To: Byakuya

I have the evidence. When can I meet you?

Classroom 78

10:06am

Byakuya listening to the teacher heard his phone go off but ignored for the time being as he was not going to answer it while in class. He looks at Kyoko knowing that what future Naegi told him would possibly be the reason for her sadness.

'How long has she known about this I wonder?' thought Togami curiously.

After class was over around 11:00am to head into their next class he read the text and responded back.

To: Igean

Come to my dorm at 3pm when class ends

From: Togami

Byakuya Togami's Dorm

3:00pm

*Knock Knock*

The door opens and Future Naegi was holding onto some slightly big metal device.

"What is that?" asks Togami.

"It's the evidence I got for you" replied Naegi.

"You got to be joking right?" asks Togami.

"No this device is the machine that brought me back to the past and I want to take you to the future so you can see the results for yourself...that's the best evidence I can give you Byakuya" replied Naegi truthfully.

"...Prove it" replies Togami.

Naegi flicks the switches and raises the machine almost passing it to him but stops mid-way.

"Hold onto the box and will go" replies Naegi. Byakuya did as he was told and then Naegi pushes the orange button and off they disappeared into magical thin air.

Thursday, September 3rd 2013.

Byakuya's Dorm

12:05pm

When they landed Byakuya felt lightheaded, a few moments pass and he regains his momentum. He analyzes the building in front of Naegi but oddly he sees they were near a lot of rubble that surrounded them.

"W-where are we?" asks Byakuya confused.

"Were in the same location we left off in...just two and a half years into the future" replied Naegi.

They make their way down the hallway that was once a hallway and step outside in the open. The sky was pitch red and from the distance they could see the gigantic monokuma robots roaming around the vicinity.

"..." Byakuya remained silent as he was flabbergasted by what he was seeing.

"This is what becomes of our world, millions of people being killed by these atrocious monsters...and what's worse is the fact we were manipulated by one psychopathic twisted girl..." replies Naegi sighing.

"She really...did all of this? But that makes no sense! How could one highschooler be able to do all of this destruction" replies Byakuya puzzled.

"It's because Junko Enoshima had always been smart enough to take advantage of those around her...I'm sure everyone knew that but..." replies Naegi pausing for a moment.

"But what exactly? Get to the point" replies Byakuya

"Her talent is not the Ultimate Fashionista...it's True Ultimate Despair" replies Naegi

"...!" Byakuya gasps by hearing this fact and could only suspect it would be true, however he still didn't believe him.

"Her and Mukuro as you know made all the connections they could obtain to create this disaster...do you understand?" asks Naegi

"No...but I believe if you take me to the time we were in the mutual killing game...I may think differently" replies Byakuya

"I-I don't know if that is a good idea-" replies Naegi hesitating and slightly alarmed.

"Why? Surely if you take me there...I will see it for myself" replies Byakuya

"...' Naegi remained silent as he was afraid of him finding out something he may not want to know.

"Or was this insane story of yours a lie...?" replies Byakuya suspicious of his actions.

"...Okay I will take you there but on one condition...you must not fall into despair!" replies Naegi worried.

"Who do you think I am? You plebeian, I am the heir of the Togami family, don't ever forget who's speaking before you" replies Byakuya confidently.

"R-right, well then let's go!" replies Naegi.

'I suppose it will be alright' thought Naegi.

"One question...there will be two of us right?" asks Byakuya.

"Yes but we aren't going to time travel in this location" replies Naegi.

"Then how are we going to see what is happening on the inside?" asks Byakuya confused.

'Oh that's right! I forgot to mention that part to him' thought Naegi feeling a bit silly.

"I'm sorry about not mentioning this, she has security cameras in every angle of the school during that time...if we appear there it will cause a paradox since Junko will be watching...however she broadcasted us everywhere around the world for others to watch" replies Naegi.

"So your suggesting that we go somewhere that we can watch it on T.V then?" asks Byakuya.

"That would be the safest way without causing ourselves any danger" replies Naegi.

Byakuya nods his head.

"Alright then where can we go to?" asks Byakuya.

Naegi recalls a flashback wondering if it was the right time to go see Dr. Takashi Mitarai.

(Flashback)

"Actually, it was about around the time I was in my home about 3 years ago. I think it was, July of 2012 that you came to tell me..."

Naegi wasn't sure if it was only him that went but he has no other places to go where it is safe, his mission is to help Byakuya see the truth and retrieve the time machine. It was now or never for Naegi to decide that fate.

My location is in a city about 3 hours from Hope's Peak Academy out in the desert of Toka city...I'm sure you will find a way to reach me...that is where you must get that time machine from me...whenever you know the time is right"

(Flashback Ends)

"To visit an old friend" replies Naegi with a little smile of hope.
