Before we got to the Penguin exhibit we went past the amphibians or frogs as they are known most as. I dunno I think frogs are pretty cool. I mean having the ability to just sit in one spot and be able to litteraly snatch a snack fresh out the air without moving is pretty badass. I mean all you have to do is shoot out your tongue and catch a fly, it couldn't get any easier than that. There are like alot more types of frogs then I thought there were. But I'm not surprised at this point.. I've seen alot of creatures today that I didn't know even exsisted. I guess Mother Nature is just full of surprises.
Then after that we went and saw the cold blooded reptiles. Yea no its mostly just creatures that are native to Florida. So there were baby crocodiles, Bermese pythons, some more turtles, fish and stingrays. I also learned that Candice doesn't like snakes.. which opens a whole plethora of pranks to pull on her. I think I like this part the best so far. All those animals were in one big room and they were practically side by side and the roof was a glass dome. It was a really big room because it just had random Florida native birds flying around and real swamp tree bushes growing out of some of the tanks. It would be awesome if I didn't have to constantly look out for bird poop. But I had a blast messing with the birds on my part, Candice says I shouldn't mess with them but I knew that I just want to see if I can get one of them to do something.
"Candi come here come look at this bird!" I spoke. But what she doesn't know is the bird I want her to touch may or may not be in a good mood now because of me. She just sighed and walked over to me. "Look how cute he is awe! He likes me, stick your hand out I want to see if he likes you or not." I cooed
"So you can only talk to me when you want me to do something? No thank you I don't want to pet your new friend." Candice answered.
"Ok fine." I then turned to leave. "Where's Randy I bet he will do it." I murmmered to myself but loud enough for her to hear me.
"No fuck Randy! I'll pet him see look." Haha she is so easy sometimes. So I walked back over to her and she reached out to touch my new friend. "The shit I do for love." She sighed as she touched his head. She then began to run her hand down its back and as she went to do it again I couldn't help but laugh. "Ahh fuck! Stupid bird!" Screeched Candi as the bird bit her finger. "Ahh what the fuck Vic. You did that on purpose!" She yelled at me holding her finger. I just gave her the most innocent face I could. "Gah!" She growled before she started to storm away from me so I just ran after her and pulled her into a hug. She was mad at first but the longer I held her the more I felt her loosen up until she hugged me back. "Your stupid bird friend made my finger bleed." She mumbled into my chest. Perfect that is what I was hoping for, but she can't know that. So I pulled away and kissed her finger, getting her to smile and blush. Its crazy the effect I have on her, but I still want to see the penguins so I let her go and started to head towards the penguins.
This is like the hundredth time today I just left Candice standing somewhere without a word or telling her where I'm going. I'm pretty sure she is so annoyed with me doing that, but yet she just keeps going out of her way to find me. That right there my friends is true love, no matter what I do that annoys the crap out of her she still puts up with me and I love her for it. When I got to the penguin tank it was cute. All the penguins were playing, some were interacting with the little kids dancing and swimming. Some were just sliding around on their belly, and others were just standing there... Yelling?.. Croaking?.. Screeching?... They were talking to us in penguin, even though it was very loud it was still pretty cute. After a while I felt a familiar hand intertwine with mine.
"You know when male penguins find a female penguin he really likes he will spend all day looking for the perfect rock to present to her.. Almost like a token of his love. And if she accepts it then that means they are married in a way." Candice spoke softly. This is another reason why I love her, she is just full of random facts. I just smiled and looked at her. "Yea I actually think its pretty romantic." She smiled. I can't argue with her there that is kind of romantic. And we just stood and looked at the penguins for a bit. But I made sure to keep tabs on the time and it is 2:45 now so that is perfect.
I just grabbed her hand and began to walk to my other favorite part about aquariums, the touch tanks! There were three different tanks one had baby Great White Sharks, another had stingrays, and the other had alot of different starfish in it. Obviously we had to go to the sharks first, so that is where we went first. I wasted no time sticking my hand in there and touching the sharks. Candi just stood and watched.
"Come on babe its not that bad see!" I spoke as a shark swam by and I touched it.
"No thanks I'm fine. I prefer to just watch and I like having all ten fingers." She smiled.
"Ok lets make a bet." I suggested.
"I'm listening."
"Is your finger still bleeding?"
"Yea why?"
"If you stick that finger in the tank and touch atleast three sharks, I will stop ignoring you and we can go straight to the Otter exhibit. And to make it even sweeter I will buy you anything you want from the gift shop." I bargained.
"No I'm not sticking my bleeding finger into a tank full of like thirty blood thirsty creatures who like human flesh!"
"Ok well have fun watching the Otters by yourself." I shrugged as I began to walk away towards the stingrays. I wouldn't actually let her go by herself, last thing I need is for someone to try to hit on my girl while I'm not there. I then felt her grab the back of my shirt and pull me back.
"You said anything I want from the gift shop?"
"If it has a price tag you can have it." I smirked. She just let out a sigh and began to put her bleeding finger in the tank. But before she could touch the water I grabed her hand. "Jeeze Candice I was just kidding! If you did that you'd probably start a frenzy of hungry sharks." I laughed.
"Oh thank God! Because I really do love having all ten fingers." She sighed in relief.
"Ha! There is no way I want to be held responsable for you missing a finger. Besides I would have brought you anything you wanted from the giftshop anyways. You are crazy Candice Beckman and after that show you put on at the foodcourt I'm like a thousand percent sure I love you." I spoke pulling her in for a hug.
"I was only showing him that you were mine and none to mention you were flirting with him in front of my face. I had to make sure he knew where your home is." She spoke
"I know I think you got that message across very clearly. And I was only kidding around with him he probably still makes minimum wage. You can't eat at expensive restaurants on minimum wage." I chuckled.
"I know, plus he wasn't even cute and totally not your type."
"You don't even know what my type is."
"Yes I do, its me! I'm your type." She giggled. I just shook my head and laughed too.
"Yea I guess so. But come lets clean off your finger and find you a band-aid so we can go see the otters. Its almost three and there is a little otter show they have at three and I think you will like it." I spoke as I lead her to the lobby were we got her a band-aid. And then from there we finally went to the Sea Otter exhibit.
"Oh I'm so excited. You made me wait all day for this, now we get to see the Sea Otters!" Candi exclaimed like a little kid.
"I didn't make you wait you could have went without me. Besides you know what they say save the best for last and I know how much you love otters." I smiled as we walked towards the otter exhibit. She stopped walking and turned to face me she then wrapped her arms around my neck.
"So does that mean you aren't mad at me anymore?" She asked innocently. I smiled and shook my head no.
"Candi I stopped being mad at you the moment you kissed me before we started to watch the movie. You make it so damn hard to stay mad at you for a long time. I just wanted to see how long I could ignore you." I smiled.
"You are such a bitch sometimes."
"Yea but I'm your bitch."
"Yea and I love you." She giggled. I just leaned in and kissed her with all I had.
"Damn I've been waiting all day to do that! But come lets go see the otters." And with that I grabbed her hand and we walked to the exhibit. When we got there the otters were playing. There were only four Sea otters, two boys and two girls.
"Awe Vick look they are so cute!" Candice exclaimed as she hurriedly walked up to the glass. I couldn't stop the smile that formed on my lips. She is so adorable when she gets excited. But I will let it slide this time after all we are otters together. So I just walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist. "Squishy look!" She spoke pointing to two otters holding hands floating on their back.
"That would be us right there wouldn't it?" I asked looking at her and she looked at me.
"Yea except I'd rather lay on you than beside you." She smiled. I just gave her a quick kiss. It was then that one of the... Shit what the fuck do you call people who work at the aquarium? I know the zoo has zookeepers but what the hell do you call the people who work in an aquarium? Who cares? I'm just going to call them workers. So one of the workers came out with a metal bucket causing all the otters to turn their attention to them.
If you asked me what they were talking about I can't tell you because I don't know. I was just enjoying holding Candi and watching the otters swim around and do tricks. That was really cute because the workers would freeze pieces of food inside a little block of ice for them. So they would tell the animal to do something and it would do something, like one of the otters would wave to the crowd, or it held hands with another otter. Then they would give the block of ice to them, then the otters would swim up to the glass or a rock and bang the ice block on the glass to break the ice and get to the treat. And I learned Sea Otters are pretty smart creatures. Then the otters would do different tricks earning them pieces of fish or crab. It was really cute and so are the otters, now I see why Candice loves them so much. They are so adorable and cute. A few minutes later the show was over and the otters were just swimming around doing otter things.
"Ok I'll be first to admit that that was cute." I admitted. Candice just turned to face me with a huge smile on her face.
"I know! Oh I wish I could watch them all day, and I would never get tired of them." She giggled. I just gave her a quick kiss.
"Yea I bet you would. But come on I wanna go to the gift shop." I spoke as I let her go and began to walk to the gift shop. One would think by now I'd stop walking away from her, but why stop when I've been doing it all day. I actually had to use the bathroom so I did that on my way over there. And as I was walking towards the gift shop I was stopped dead in my tracks. They had a clown making balloon animals, and I already ignored, worried, scared, and tricked Candi today so why not add embarrass to the list. So I patiently waited for my turn and I got a balloon duck hat. There is nothing more childish than a balloon animal hat. Just as I started to head in the direction of the gift shop Candice walked past me.
"Hey Candi over here look!" I yelled loud enough so everybody could hear me. "Candice look I got a cool hat from the clown isn't it awesome! QUACK! QUACK!" I esclaimed. But she just ignored me like she didn't know who I was. Okay fine, so I walked over to her and grabbed her hand. "Oh Candice I guess you didn't hear me calling you. You should probably get your ears checked babe. Anyways look at my super cool awesome hat! Can you see it?" I asked bending my head so she could get a good look at my hat. "QUACK! QUACK!"
"Vic would you cut that out people are stareing." Candi murmered.
"What you don't like my hat? Candice I thought you loved me? You're susposed to be my girlfriend, and right now I'm not feeling the love." I whinned even louder. Her face is priceless right now.
"I do love you but you're how old and wearing a balloon hat?" She questioned. So I started to cry and sink to my knees.
"Everybody else likes my hat except you! I just want you to love me for who I am and not judge me!" I spoke on the verge of crying. I really do love embarrassing Candice.
"Ok I love your hat just please get off the floor and stop crying you're causing a scene." She spoke quickly. I just smiled and got off the floor.
"Okay lets go to the gift shop now. QUACK!" I spoke like that didn't just happen.
It didn't take long for us to get to the gift shop. When we got there we went different ways. It was pretty big, mostly full of ocean themed things, from chlothing, all the way down to turtle shapped erasers.
"Hey what are you going to get?" Asked Candi as she appeared by my side. I was looking at the different t-shirts they had.
"I dunno yet. What about you?" I spoke plainly briefly looking at her. And she was holding a stuffed Sea Otter. "Oh well never mind then. What are you going to name it?" I asked.
"The question it what are you going to name it? I brought it for you. So just like how I have Chester now you have what ever it is you decide to name it." She smiled. I'm not really into stuffed animals, but this one time I will make an exception.
"Awe well that was thoughtful of you." I spoke as I took it from her. "I dunno... I think I'm going to name her Kikko!" I smiled. (Key-co)
"Ok well Kikko is my gift to you." I just gave her a kiss.
"Thank you, but can you hold her while I look?" I asked hand her my new Sea Otter. She just smiled and took her. After about five more minutes of searching I decided to get me and Candice matching t-shirts. What we already have matching hoodies from when we went to the beach, similar baseball jerseys, and pretty soon we will have matching Black Widow Customs hoodies, so I might as well add matching t-shirts to it. Besides I don't mind twining with my girlfriend.
By the time we finished in the gift shop it was just about time to go. So we took our time walking back to the van, really we just took that time to look out at the ocean to see if we could see any dolphins or manatees. I'm not really sure what we saw but I think they were dolphins, but then again they were pretty far out to tell for sure. No I'm pretty sure manatees don't jump up out of the water... But hey Mother Nature is capable of many different things. I mean I know manatees do tend to end up around Lousiana but do any end up near Florida? Eh it doesn't matter because there were two manatees in the aquarium anyways. By the time we finished watching it was time to go so we all loaded up the van and headed back to Springs.
Ok I have to admit I had a blast writing this chapter. Like I just thought it was the funniest shit I've ever read. Like can you imagine how funny it would be watching Victoria running around with a balloon duck hat on? Like I lol the whole time writing that and I hope you laughed too. And then that bet Vic made with Candi... Could you imagine if she actually put her hand in there? That would have been interesting. Naw but Vic and Candi are so cute together I will admit that tbh. So I got a new phone charger... It lights up red. Yea its as cool as it seems because you know I'm a certified Badass! So Summerslam is tomorrow... Why doesn't my hubby Sheamus have a match? :( I love him he is just so pretty, like he can wrestle me any time he wants ;) No but Brie vs. Steph I'm looking foward to it. -Joz
