Chapter 13

The next day I snuck out really early in the morning and headed back for the school. Even though I knew it was stupid and foolish considering that Axel could strike any moment while I was gone, I just had to know more about Axel and his boss. The only way I can find out is by sneaking into that room and question Oscar about his own brother. But once I got to the school I quickly turned around and tried to find a place to hide outside.

Moments later Axel casually walked past me. Luckily he didn't see me as he walked past me. Plus he looks very tired and sleepy headed. So carefully I followed him with a good distance between us. Later Axel went into what I believed was his house because the moment he walked in through the door he was instantly yelled at and he shouted back. I didn't understand what they were talking about only because it was a different language that I wasn't familiar with. Just when I thought Axel was going to stay in the house all day long he came back out moments later with a thicker jacket, shovel, and a backpack.

So I continued to carefully follow him. After a while of following him I ended up at the beach that Law took me to before. I started wondering what he was planning on doing. He continued to follow the coast until he disappeared behind some rocks. I waited a few minutes being following in after him. When I went to see what was behind the rocks I saw Axel had went into a cave. Deep within that cave were filled with things that one would need to live off of. It also seemed like he was talking with someone. Could this be the place where Axel's boss lives? Carefully I started listening in on their conversation.

"Did you bring the stuff?" the mystery person questioned.

"Yeah, right here." Axel replied.

"You made sure no one followed you."

"Of course, anyways it's too early in the morning to be up. Plus it's almost Christmas and a snow storm just went through. Many are staying home today."

"Did you have any trouble with your parents after you went home?"

"I had some trouble with my mom. But I ignored her and left again."

"What did you yell at you this time? What was your excuse when you left?"

"My mom was yelling at me about how I always came home late and why I'm not around for dinner. She worries too much. Before I left I told her that I was going out to search for Oscar again."

"Did she question you about the shovel?"

"I told her that I was going to clear a friends' backyard for a while before searching for Oscar again."

"Anyways you know who your next target it. So get going."

"Alright, but I'm going to need to borrow your shotgun."

"Take whatever you need to finish the job." Before I knew it Axel quickly took the shotgun and tried to aim for me. Quickly I started running for my life while Axel was following close behind me. He constantly continued to shoot at me. I started becoming worried that no one was going to help me. Soon I felt a sharp pain go through my left leg so I quickly dived behind a post box to catch my breath and hope that Axel didn't see me there. The shooting stopped and I didn't hear Axel following me anymore. Then when I thought things was alright to be calm for a moment I took a look at my left leg to find it bleeding.

"Shit." I cursed myself. Quickly I took off my scarf and used that to stop the bleeding. I couldn't believe that Axel managed to shoot me. Moments later I heard someone shout my name which gave me a real scare. Afterwards Penguin and Shachi rushed beside me looking all worried.

"Shachi, Penguin, what are you doing here?" I questioned. Quickly before they answered I looking behind the post box to find Axel nowhere in sight. So I sighed in relief before they answered also.

"Law called us early in the morning, shouting at us to help search for you. We were all over the neighborhood asking people if they saw you. But no one said yes. Then just when we turned that corner over there we saw you here and there was blood around your leg. What happened?" Penguin replied.

"I'm alright, just help me get back to my house. I'll explain on the way." I said. Then carefully Shachi and Penguin helped me get to my house while I explained what happened on the way there. When we got to my house my siblings were all scolding me at once while Law, Shachi, and Penguin were taking care of my leg. After Law, Shachi, and Penguin finished with my leg Law scolded me along with my siblings. But then Shachi and Penguin both stood up for me. It didn't take long for the two of them to coward away either.

After all the scolding I got we had lunch. Since I was out for a long time I missed breakfast, but so did everyone else since they were out searching for me. While we were having lunch I couldn't help wonder why no one heard the shooting. Why was I always having stupid visions that come true every single time? Suddenly pain shot threw my head and I blacked out a bit. I suddenly started seeing blood everywhere, followed by water and darkness engulfing me, and finally a very old dusty book with a secret page.
