Welcome everyone and I'm glad that the semester is almost over. It has been a loooooong semester, but I'm glad to have made it and I have a good feeling on how it's going to end. Anyways, thanks to everyone for the support you have given for the story and the reviews left behind. I appreciate it and thanks to Wolf2 for his help on the story. Now, let's move on to the disclaimer. I don't own anything of Teen Titans, just my OC. So enjoy the chapter everyone.
Surprise
A month has passed since the Titans made their startling discovery. Raven, being the daughter of Trigon, how she is the portal, and she is destined to end the world. They were also surprised to find out Anna was send to kill Raven and that she was an angel. The angel part though shocked everyone the most.
Robin apologized for being mean to Anna, while the others except Raven asked her a lot of questions about heaven, and God. After she finished answering their questions she went to explain to them about why she didn't kill their friend. She explains the Pope believes there is another way to save her and she plans to figure it out.
Robin gives her weapons back, but he had Anna promise him not to shoot or kill anyone. Anna agreed, but warned Robin she would shoot him if he keeps her from killing Slade, who she explained is too evil to be locked up. Raven agreed and told her friends to let Anna do what she has to do to keep everyone safe.
It has been a week now and things have gone back to normal. They fight bad guys, protect the city, relax, and go on with their lives like nothing happened. Of course, in reality they are preparing for Slade in case he comes back to take their friend. They have kept Raven in the dark since they didn't want her to worry about what they're planning. So far they have come up with some good ideas, but they need to run it by with Anna to be sure.
Titan's Tower
On the roof of the tower, Anna is putting together her new weapon her friend Jimmy made. It's a crossbow that shoots arrows that are covered in holy water. Anna decides to test the new weapon out, except instead of using the arrows she would use normal types of arrows. She takes out some drones that Cyborg made for her.
She has them levitate in the air and move around. They were going slow, but each time she took one down they would go faster.
"Anna," she turns around and sees Robin approaching her. "Do you have a minute?"
"Sure, just hold on one second," she takes aim and fires her arrow.
It moved so fast it took down the drone before it could dodge the attack. Robin lets out a small whistle, impressed on how well Anna's new weapon works.
"I should meet your friend Jimmy and see if he can make me one of those."
Anna smiles and hands the weapon to Robin. "You can try it out if you want."
Robin accepts the weapon and takes aim. He gets a lock on his target and fires. He manages to hit the side of the drone since it was moving too fast. However, it slowed down since it did suffer damage.
"Try again," says Anna.
So Robin fires again and manages to hit his target. He smiles proudly at his work and hands the weapon back to Anna.
"You're friend should work with Cyborg," suggested Robin. "I bet those two can come up with a lot of cool gadgets for us to use."
Anna nods in agreement as she fires at the last two drones. She has seen how good Cyborg is in inventing things. She is impressed with his skills in making vehicles, like that T-Car he made. However, she knew Jimmy's skills are different than Cyborg's.
"Jimmy makes weapons for us to use against monsters," says Anna as she takes down the last two drones. "Not for criminals, that's the job for the police or you heroes."
"Yeah, about that," Robin approaches Anna who summons four more drones. "Why doesn't the government know about what the Vatican does? I mean, shouldn't they know in case you get arrested?"
Anna lets out a small sigh and puts her weapon down. "Humanity long ago believed in the supernatural and children believe in monsters that live in their closets or under their beds. Today, humans believe that science can prove everything and the supernatural is just a myth."
"And?" asked Robin wondering where Anna is going with this.
"What do you think would happen if they find out demons, monsters, ghosts, and everything from the supernatural is real?" replies Anna as she approaches Robin. "I've seen humans go into a panic, get locked up in mental institutions, and I've seen them go after creatures that are actually peaceful, but they try to kill it because they're not 'normal' like them."
Robin understands where Anna was going with this and nods in agreement. There are some people that can accept the truth, but there are others that would panic.
"The Vatican believes if the government knew the truth, they would try capturing every supernatural creature they can find," Anna gets her weapon up and fires at the drones. "Which will end badly, since humans trying to gain powers from the supernatural always ends in a lot of deaths."
"You've seen this happened?" replied Robin.
Anna stops firing and faces her friend. "Why do you think Chernobyl blew up? The Soviets found something they weren't meant to find and it backfired on them."
Robin has a look of surprise on his face when Anna mentioned Chernobyl. "W-what did they find?"
Anna stops firing. "You don't want to know." She fires again and takes out the last drone. "Anyways, it doesn't matter since it's in the hands of the Vatican who knows what to do with this stuff…and that's lock them up."
"Like the holy grail?" asked Robin.
Anna shook her head. "Oh they don't have it. If you do know where it is let me know so I can hide it."
Robin decides to change the subject. "Anyways, the reason I came to see you, is because we came up with some ideas on how to keep Trigon away from Raven. Can I run them by with you?"
Anna puts her weapon down and sits on the floor. "I'm all ears."
Robin begins explaining the ideas to Anna. From making a room that is surrounded by symbols from Raven's spells books, which they tore the pages from. They figure the symbols will keep Trigon from getting to Raven and that it will keep her safe. He also tells them that if Slade does come to the tower that they would defend it using everything they have.
After he finishes Anna gives him her honest opinion. "I hate it."
"Wh-what? Why?" asked Robin.
"I already gave Raven a medallion that will keep Trigon out of her mind. The room does sound good, but fighting Slade is a bad idea," explains Anna as she gets off from the floor and walks around with her arms behind her back. "I don't think you understand what you're dealing here."
"Enlighten me then," says Robin wondering what Anna knows that they don't know.
Anna decides to explain. "When someone is given demonic powers, they are no longer human anymore. They will not hesitate to kill and don't care who gets in their way. There is only way one to stop them."
Meanwhile
Raven floats out of her room humming to herself in a happy tune. She makes it to the common room where Cyborg and Beastboy are playing video games. They look over after hearing Raven humming. They are surprise to see her in a good mood.
The last time they saw her in a good mood like this before was when she met Malchior. They remember how that turned out and are concern.
"Um, Raven? Are you okay?" asked Cyborg.
"Yeah, you're in a good mood," says Beastboy as he approaches the Goth girl. "A very good mood."
"Maybe it's because I was able to sleep well for once," explains Raven as she shows the medallion Anna gave her.
"Whoa, that looks soooo cool," Beastboy tries to touch it, but Raven slaps his hand away.
"Don't touch it," says Raven as her smile turns to her serious expression. "Anna gave me this to help me get some sleep and meditate without my dad or Slade sending visions to my head."
Cyborg's expression changed to a serious look as he approaches Anna. "Have they tried to get in your mind as of late?"
Raven shook her head. "With this medallion they can't. That's why I need to wear it and keep them out."
"So, that's why you're happy?" asked Beastboy. "Because you got a goodnight's sleep?"
Raven nods her head and covers her head with her hood. "That's one of the reasons. Anyways, have you seen Anna? I need to ask her something."
"I think she's on the roof talking to Robin," replies Cyborg.
This caught Raven's attention. "Why?"Beastboy and Cyborg began to act nervous, which made Raven act suspicious. "Why does Robin need to talk to Anna?"
Before the boys can respond Starfire comes into the room. "Hello friends! Who wants to come with me to the mall of shopping?"
"Raven does!" shouted both boys.
Starfire lets out a gasp. "She does?"
"Oh yeah," says Cyborg. "She wants to go and try out those pretty dresses you have been talking about.
"I never said…" Raven is interrupted by Beastboy.
"You guys should get going before it gets full."
"You are right, let's go friend Raven," Starfire grabs Raven by the wrist and takes off with her.
Raven gives a death glare at the boys. "You're dead when I get back."
Once the girls left Cyborg lets out a whimper. "We're so dead."
Beastboy nods in agreement. "Very dead."
Roof
"Isn't there a way to remove his powers, without killing them?" Robin doesn't like Slade, but murder is not an option.
"Only Trigon can do it, I can't," replies Anna.
Robin lets out a soft sigh. "I was taught as a hero we couldn't kill. If we did, then there is no going back."
Anna nods her head, understanding why Robin is against the whole murder thing. Still, she knew there was no other choice when it comes with Slade. He wasn't going to stop and would do anything to harm her friends. Her phone begins vibrating, she takes it out, and sees who it is.
"Let's talk about this later," Anna begins to walk towards the door, but stops when she has her hand on the handle. "You are a good leader and hero. But, we both know that if he gets his hands on Raven."
She didn't need to tell Robin what will happen. He knows what the outcome will be if Slade gets to their friend.
"I'll think about this," replies Robin, when he remembered something. "Oh, by the way we're going out later to go see a movie. Raven said she wasn't going because she wanted to finish reading a book."
"And so you want to know if I would go?" Anna got a nod from Robin confirming what he wanted to ask her. "Sorry, I'm meeting a friend of mine later. Maybe next time."
"Are you sure?" replied Robin.
Anna nods her head. "I'm sure, have fun at the movies."
Rome
Jimmy is in his room making new equipment for Anna to use. He knew her asking for more equipment means that she is getting ready in case Trigon comes for Raven. She gave her report a month ago about what happened and how the Teen Titans, who are the heroes of the city she is staying at. Are aware of who Raven is and what she is destined to do.
The priests, ministers, and bishops insist the Pope to have Anna kill the demon child. However, each time he tells them she will not be harmed. He believes there is another way for the world to be saved and he will leave it up to Anna to find it. For everyone, they feel as if she is going to fail them.
Jimmy couldn't understand why they have so little faith in her. After all she has done, she would have at least gotten a little bit of their trust. He knows Anna can be reckless and can be disrespectful. But, she has done a lot of good and risked her life doing it.
"It's not like she'll turn evil, right?"
"It happened before to another," Jimmy turns around and it's Father Donavan walking into the room. "How are you doing Jimmy?"
Jimmy bows his head towards the priest. "It's good to see you again sir. How are you?"
"I'm fine," he approaches the table where Jimmy has his weapons. "How are you doing?"
"I'm doing fine," Jimmy puts his equipment down and noticed the priest seems concern. "I take it you came back from another meeting?"
Father Donavan nods his head giving Jimmy his answer. "The bishops are considering going over the Pope's authority and send someone to kill Raven."
"But you told them no, right?" Jimmy remembers the last time the bishops did that and how bad it ended when Anna found out.
"I did," Father Donavan sits down on one of the chairs near the table. "Still, it doesn't mean they'll try. You know the prophecy is coming soon."
Jimmy nods his head. The time for Trigon to be free is coming. The Pope informed everyone in the Vatican to be ready and to not inform the people of what is going to happen. He feels if the world knew then it would cause a panic.
Of course everyone in the Vatican, even Jimmy is terrified. The end of the world is coming and if Anna fails, they will all die.
"Father, do you think she'll succeed?"
Father Donavan smiles at the young man and nods his head. "When I first found her outside the temple I knew she was special. Despite her flaws, she has always found a way to save the lives of the innocent. If anyone can do it, it's her."
"I hope she does," says Jimmy as he continues working on his work. "I don't want to think what will happen if the world comes to an end."
"It won't," says Father Donavan. "We must believe."
Jump City
The Titans returns after a fun night at the movies. Of course, for some of them it was fun. When Raven came back from the mall she paid Cyborg and Beastboy a visit. They met up with their friends with a black eye on their one side of their eyes.
"I still do not understand why you lied to our friend," says Starfire as she floats towards the kitchen.
"We didn't want her to find out what we were doing," answers Cyborg as he goes to the fridge and pulls out an ice bag. "We knew she would be mad, but we didn't think she would actually punch us."
"I blame Anna," Beastboy grabs an ice bag from the fridge and placed it over his bruised eye. "I saw her teaching Raven how to box and she used that right hook of hers to hurt us."
"I think she is an excellent teacher," replies Starfire defending Anna. "She taught me some moves as well, including one called the rear-naked chokehold."
"Huh?" before Cyborg knew it Starfire appears behind him and locks in the chokehold. He tries to break free, but Starfire held her grip until Cyborg passed out.
Starfire lets out a giggle and claps her hands. "It worked it worked. I must go show friend Anna I did it."
She takes off flying out of the room and goes to find Anna. She opens the door and sees her friend is not there. She figures she is with Raven so she flies towards her friend's room. She makes it to Raven's room and opens it.
"Friend Raven, have you see…" she then sees something she didn't expect to see. "What is going on?"
What did Starfire find? What are her friends doing? Is it something bad? Will Beastboy and Cyborg learn not to piss Raven off? And think Robin will let Anna kill Slade? There is only one way to find out. Check out the next chapter to see what happens next. Please leave some reviews and let me know what you thought of the chapter. If you didn't like it then don't leave a flame review. Take care, see you all next time, and have a nice day.
