The 20th chapter is here and I I'm so glad at how far this story has come. I have been working on this for a while because I wanted to make the 20th chapter to be perfect. At least enough for you the readers to enjoy. I want to thank my friend Wolf2 for his help on this and I hope your all ready for it.

I don't own anything of Teen Titans or anything from the DC universe. I only own my OC. Now, let's get the 20th chapter to begin and enjoy everyone. Also I hope you're all enjoying your summer.

Surprise

Raven's room

Raven is in her room fixing her hair, while going over what she was going to do today. She knew she had to talk to Starfire to make sure she didn't say anything to the others. She trusts her friend, but is concerned she might accidentally say something. She isn't sure how the others will react, but knowing how things were with Robin and Anna it probably wouldn't be good.

She still can't believe how she ended up in this situation. She recalls how she told Anna months ago she was never going to fall for her and yet here she is months later in a relationship with the girl. A part of her doesn't regret being with Anna, but another part of her is worried of what will happen if her father finds out about her feelings for the girl. Knowing her father he would send Slade to try killing her girlfriend or worst.

"There are worst things than death," muttered Raven to herself knowing what her father is capable of if he got his hands on Anna. "I have to keep her safe."

But how? She herself that. How can she protect her girlfriend, her friends, and not become the portal? Sure Anna said they will make sure it doesn't happen, but how does she know?

Anna has told Raven not to have doubts, but she can't help it. When she is around Anna she isn't scared, but without her around those thoughts come back to her.

"Raven?" she hears someone knocking on her door. She recognized the voice to belong to Robin. "It's me, can we talk?"

Raven floats towards the door and opens it. "Is everything okay?"

Robin nods his head. "I was just wondering if we can talk. Is Anna here?"

"No," she replied. "She took off, but will be back soon."

"Do you know where she went?" he asked.

"No," she replied unsure herself either. "Just that a friend needed help. Is that all?"

Robin shook his head. "I wanted to let you know that we have searched every part of the city and we couldn't find Slade. We used the device Anna used to track him, but it couldn't give up an accurate reading."

"So, I guess your plan to find Slade and stop him is out?" she asked recalling how Robin wanted to find and stop Slade before Anna could kill him. "I know you have a problem with her method, but it may be the only way to end this."

"So you're okay with murder?" he asked shock that his friend is agreeing with Anna's idea.

"I don't," she replied never approving of taking a life. "But, Slade is not alive is he?"

Anna explained to the others one of the many skills she has is sensing the soul of any living person. It helps her sense if the person she meets is good, if they committed any sins, and if they are human. She explained that every living being has a colored aura surrounding their souls. A human or alien like Starfire their souls are blue, an animals is green, but a demon despite not having a soul does have an aura that is red.

She explained that during the fight with Slade that she couldn't sense his soul or sense him being alive. The others didn't believe this since it didn't make sense. That was until Anna asked them if they ever saw him get killed or appeared to be dead. Raven explained that when Terra defeated him that it appeared he was killed when he fell into the lava even though Robin didn't believe he died.

Anna believes that Slade did die and was brought back by Trigon. It wasn't uncommon for a demon to bring the dead back to life in exchange for their services. When people work with demons it's usually for powers or to come back to life. However, since she couldn't see his soul in the body that meant that Slade is not actually alive.

It explains why despite all the attacks the Titans hit Slade with it didn't do any actual damage. Without his soul, Slade is not alive.

"I know you were taught not to kill, but this is different Robin," she said trying to convince her friend to let this go. "But if Anna is right then we have to let her take Slade down. We can't stop him, we can't lock him up, and you know it."

"I know, it's just I can't stand by while she does this," he replied.

He knows she is right, but after years of what he learned about not killing and doing the right thing. That is something he can't just let go.

"I understand," Raven walks out of her room and closed it. "We won't force you to agree to this, but I do hope you understand why it must be done."

Raven soon begins walking away leaving Robin alone with his thoughts. He knows what has to be done, but isn't sure if he'll be able to allow it. He knew he needed to talk to someone about this. He just hopes they'll be able to talk.

Europe

The jet plane arrives outside a small town in France. Anna leaves the plane first wearing her old attire. Behind her Rose Wilson aka Ravager appears out of the plane wearing her attire and mask that was like her father's, even though she wasn't missing an eye. The two walk into town only to find it deserted.

"It's nighttime with a full moon and we're walking around an abandoned down," said Anna out loud. "Great place to visit Rose."

The older girl rolls her eyes at how much her friend is complaining. "Hey, blame Jade she's the one that asked us to come here."

"Whatever, all I know is we need to hurry this up," as the two women walk around shadow figures with glowing red eyes began appearing inside the abandoned homes.

As the women make it to the middle of town the shadow figures begin to surround the women ready to attack. As they charge for an attack the women pull out their weapons and destroy all the shadow figures that let out a loud roar before vanishing.

"Looks like we're not alone," said Ravager as more shadow creatures appeared.

"Let's do this!" Anna shouted as the two girls charge at the creatures.

Anna takes out her guns and opens fire taking down the creatures, while dodging their shadow claws. Ravager dodges the attacks from the creatures and uses her swords to slice their heads off. The two women continue this, but see more of the shadow creatures continue to appear. They are pushed back with each other until they are surrounded.

"Rose," Anna takes out a small cylinder object and presses the button on top of it. "Close your eyes, cover your nose and mouth!"

Ravager does as her friend says as Anna throws the item into the air and takes cover. The object blows up letting loose a large bright light that engulfed the entire town. The creatures let out a loud scream before they vanished. Once both women see it's clear they look over to find there is nothing left of the creatures but smoke.

Ravager begins coughing when the smoke passed her nose. "What is that?"

"Cover your nose," Anna ordered as her friend covers her nose. She takes out a mask then hands it to her friend and puts on her to keep her safe. "I used a special bomb my friend made that unleashes a bright light and heat to kill whatever these shadow creatures are. The downside is it evaporates them making the smoke toxic, but don't worry it will go away in half an hour so by then we can breathe again."

Ravager takes a look around and sees what appears to be dry blood on the floor. "Do you think Jade is in trouble?"

"Probably," said Anna as she spots what appears to be a large creepy castle up a hill. Her eyes become dull and talks in a sarcastic tone. "Oh no, wherever could she be? Maybe she is up in that castle. What do you think Rose? Should we go check it out?"

Ravager playfully punches her friend on the arm. "How in the world does that girlfriend of yours stand you?"

"My good looks mostly," she takes out a large shotgun from the back of her coat and cocks it. "Now, let's go rescue our friend."

Jump City

Raven makes it up to the common room where she sees Cyborg is cooking lunch. She levitates over to the sofa where she begins readings reading one of the books she brought with her. While she reads she hear Cyborg humming to himself while he cooks. She looks over at him and can sense he is in a good mood.

Despite knowing about Trigon and Slade she is surprise to find her friends aren't all as serious is Robin is about the threat. She thought at first it's because they are not taking this seriously, but she knew that wasn't it. She knew they are trying to act calm for her. With everything she has gone through they want to make it seem like everything will be okay and nothing is wrong.

She sees Cyborg finishing cooking and pours into a bowel what appears to be meatballs. He takes a whiff of it and yells out his signature word. "Booyah, I am good."

"Meatballs?" she muttered in confusion.

Cyborg however heard what she said and turns towards his teammate. "Yeah, do you want some? I made enough for everyone."

"You mean yourself," corrected Raven. "Beastboy doesn't eat meat, Robin is too busy trying to stop Slade, and Starfire made her own meals…and you know that."

Well, what about you?" he asked as he moves the bowl of meatballs in front of her. "Do you want some?"

"No thank you," she replied as she continues reading, but then she noticed her friend sitting next to her. "Can I help you with something?"

"You tell me, how are things with you and Anna?" the moment he said that it caused Raven to cringe her book almost tearing it in half.

"W-what?" she asked nervously. "What do you mean?"

"Are you two getting along well?" he asked almost sounds like he knows something. "I mean you two do spend a lot of time together in your room, alone."

Raven closed her book gently and tries to reply in a calm manner like nothing is wrong. "We are getting along well, why do you ask?"

"Oh just asking," he replied as he puts the bowl on the table. "By the way, have you two gone on a date yet?"

That caused Raven to lose control over her powers which caused the bowl to explode spreading the meatballs everywhere. Cyborg looks on surprised, but before he can say anything Raven uses her powers to slam him into the wall.

She approaches him with her eyes glowing red and looks mad. "You better tell me what you know and how you found out, was it Starfire?"

"No, no I was just looking over the security footage trying to catch Beastboy sneaking into my room," he replied frantically trying to calm the girl down. "I noticed you two always going to your room and you both don't come out until morning. I put it all together, but I wanted to see if it was true or not…is it? "

Raven begins to calm down and frees her friend. "First off, I'm sorry for how I reacted. I just got a little upset the way you acted and that Starfire told you after I asked her not to."

Cyborg stares at his friend to see she feels bad and replies. "It's okay, I'm sorry for how I was acting. I didn't think it was true though since well, I didn't know you rolled that way."

"And if I am is that going to be a problem?" she asked concerned that it might actually cause problems if the others knew the truth.

"Well, tell me the truth and I'll tell you my answer. Are you and Anna together?" he asked.

She knew that lying would be a waste of time. The way she acted and after he saw the videos she is sure that no lie will work on him.

"Yes, we are."

Cyborg walks up to his friend and smiles. "Then no, I don't have a problem with it. I'm actually glad you found someone after what happened last time."

She knew what he was talking about. After what happened with Malchior, no one not even herself thought she would find someone to be with.

"So, how did this happen?" he asked.

"First I need you to promise me you won't tell anyone, agreed?" she asked.

He nods his head. "You got it."

"Okay," she said as she begins telling her friend the truth.

Europe

Anna and Ravager arrive to the castle after climbing up to the roof. They decided that going through the door is pretty obvious. So, sneaking in through the roof would be unexpected. They got inside and carefully walked around trying to find their friend.

They passed by several rooms to see they look like a fight went on inside. Anna figures whoever was living in the castle was attacked by those shadow creatures, which she identified as shadow demons. They can be someone by an upper-level demon and are made from the souls of the people the demon kills. So the moment that they killed the shadow creatures in the town they set the souls free.

They just hope one of those souls wasn't their friend who they hope wasn't killed. They made their way towards the main hall where they see some sort of ritual going on. There appears to be at least 50 cloaked figures surrounding a green bonfire. They look overt to see a large cloaked figure walking towards the fire before removing his hood.

He is a pale looking demon with black eyes, black markings all over his body, sharp teeth, nails, and no hair. Anna motions for Ravager to go into position, while she deals with the demon and his followers.

"My children, tonight we begin our first step into controlling the world," began the demon. "You know what is coming, that is why you summoned me to save you all from him, and thanks to the souls you have given me I will have the power to make sure he doesn't rule this world."

His follower began chanting his name, while two cloaked figures begin dragging out someone from the back. Anna takes a good look to see whoever is being dragged is tied up with a bag over the head and is thrown to the floor. The victim gets up, but is brought to its knees thanks to the followers. The demon approaches the victim walking around him/her.

"You came because you were looking for something, right?" he asked the victim. "Instead, what you found is your end."

He removes the bag revealing who it is. It's a girl around 18 years of age. She appears to be Asian, her skin is tan, her eyes are black, and her hair is black.

"Jade," whispered Anna quietly.

"Tell me child, do you have anything you want to say before your life ends?" the demon asked laughing.

Jade begins snickering not afraid of the demon or what is going to happen to her. "I'm going to give you once chance freak. Give me my weapons, my mask, and what I came for. If you don't then you're going to regret it."

"Oh really?" he asked as he grabs the girl's hair and pulls it back. "And what are you going to do human? You are no position to stop me."

"But I am!" he looks up only to see a teenage girl hitting him in the face. She lands next to Jade and cuts her loose. "You really should learn to stop getting involved in jobs that are reserved for me Cheshire."

"I know," said Jade as her friend give her Sai weapons. "But then I realize it couldn't be this hard to fight these things."

The figures removed their cloaks revealing to be dark demons. Anna cocks her gun as the women back away.

"You were saying?"

The demon recovers and smells something in the air that was familiar. He recognized the scent and faces the girl that kicked him.

"You, you're an angel," he replied and begins laughing. "You're the fallen angel I have been hearing about. This is just perfect. I was planning on sacrificing your friend to give me unlimited power, but sacrificing you will be even better."

"You're not sacrificing anyone demon. We're taking you all down," Anna replied.

"How do you plan to do that?" he asked as the demons surround the women.

"Like this, Rose now!" she shouted as she tackles her friend Jade down before Ravager appears behind the demons and tossed a large wind shuriken towards them.

The shuriken slices through the demons, while the leader managed to duck down. The shuriken comes back to Ravager as she catches it. The moment she does the demons let out a loud roar before they disintegrate. The leader gets up and looks shocked at what happened.

"What was that?" he asked.

"A shuriken," Ravager explains. "Covered in holy water."

"Damn you bitch," he then hears someone clearing their voice behind him. He turns around and sees the two other women surrounding him. "You think killing me does anything? You know who is coming and when he arrives you will all die."

"Not if I have anything to say about it," Anna hands her gun to Jade who aims it at the demon.

"This is for torturing me," she shoots him in the right shoulder as he lets out a painful scream. "This is for trying to sacrifice me," she shoots him in the left knee causing him to fall to the ground. She walks up to him, placed her foot on his chest, and aimed the barrel of the gun to his face. "And this is for calling my friend a bitch."

Titan's tower

Raven finished explaining everything to Cyborg who looks surprised at how his friends ended up getting together. He is happy for them, but he didn't think his friend to like a girl. That was something he didn't expect. After all this was Raven.

"So, are you really okay with us being together? You don't find it weird?" she asked.

"It will be weird at first, but I don't mind especially if you two love each other, right?" he asked seeing his friend blush. "You do love her."

"I-I don't know if it is love," she replied as she gets up from the couch and walks towards the window. "I do like her and whenever we're together I feel safe. All my fears and worries go away when she holds me. She helps boost my confidence when I start to have doubts. And she finds a way to make me smile."

"Does she feel the same with you?" he asked as he approaches his friend.

"Yes," she recalls what Anna told her and why she loves her. They may be different, but that didn't stop her from falling in love.

"That's love then," he said happy for his friend. "You shouldn't worry about hiding this from us. I'm sure Robin and Beastboy would be okay with this."

"Beastboy yes, Robin I'm still not sure but that's not what I'm worried about," she begins explaining the real problem. "If my father or Slade find out about us they could try to hurt Anna just to get to me. That's why I don't want anyone else to know until we deal with them. So please, please don't tell anyone about this."

Cyborg lets out a small sigh since this was the last thing he wanted to do. He didn't want to keep any secrets from his friends, especially about something like this. But he knew he had to. Raven is right, if Slade or Trigon found out they would do anything to hurt her.

With Slade's past track record that is a possibility. So for the safety of his friends he knows what he has to do.

"Just promise me once this is over you will tell them, deal?"

She nods her head. "Thank you…also if you see Starfire you can tell her you know. But make sure she doesn't tell anyone, okay?"

"You got it," he replied.

Europe

Anna and Ravager are at the airport waiting for Jade to return from the castle. They found out after killing the demon that Jade was hired by someone to find his missing brother who got lost in the town. She arrived to find the brother was killed by the demon and she got captured after the shadow creatures overpowered her. The good thing is she managed to call Rose for backup before she was taken in.

"I still can't believe she accepted the mission without reading the fine print," said Anna who is still upset that her friend almost got killed. "She should have called us before doing this."

"She knew you were busy," Ravager replied. "She knew you were assigned to keep the girl safe, but mostly I think she was mad at you for moving on so fast."

"That was a year ago and I only broke up with her because she tried killing an innocent woman," Anna replied upset before calming down. "She told me though she was okay with it."

"You know her, she says that but we know it's a lie," said Ravager before she sees Jade walking towards them wearing her mask. "Did you finish?"

Jade nods her head before giving Rose a bag. "Mind taking this back home? I've got my own ride coming."

Ravager nods before walking up to the plane to give the girls some alone time. Once she boarded the plane Jade approaches Anna.

"So, are you going back?"

Anna nods with a sad expression on her face. "You know I have to. Not because it's my job, but because of how I feel about her."

Despite wearing her mask, Anna could tell what her Jade is feeling. "You love her, right?"

Anna walks up to Jade and nods her head. "I still love you too, but you made it difficult for it to work. You killed whoever hired you to kill and no matter what I said to you to change you never kept your promise. I'm sorry that I hurt you, but please don't hate me for what happened. Don't let what we had end with you hating me."

"I don't," said Jade in a calm manner trying not to break. "I never hated you. I knew why and I'm glad we did break up because I knew if we continued down the path we were at then I would end up getting you killed. And we both know where you would have ended up if that happened."

Anna knew and gives Jade a hug. "So, we're okay?"

Jade was not one to give hugs, but for the girl she loved she made an exception. "We are…as long as you tell me that the girl isn't as hot as me."

Anna giggles and shook her head. "She is hot, but you are hotter when you don't have that mask on."

Jade feeling satisfied breaks the hug and lifting her mask up gives Anna a quick peck on the lips. "Good luck and I hope she makes you happy."

"She does and thank you Jade," said Anna.

"It's Cheshire," she replied. "And don't you forget it."

Awwww how nice right? Yes I know this Cheshire is not like the one from Young Justice, different I know. Still, I hope you all like it anyways. Yeah the two girls dated before, but more will be revealed about that in the future if anyone is interested.

Thanks to my friend Wolf2 for his help and we are getting closer to the Trigon arc. It won't be long before we do get there and when we do I will try to make the chapters as long as the episodes or as much as possible. So be patient everyone and hopefully you'll like how things go with Anna around for the fights.
