Part four has arrived and yes I know there is only three parts in the whole "The End" arc. However, there is a lot of stuff going on in one episode that I couldn't put it all in one chapter. Still, doing it like this I think is better and I hope you all like this too. I think you know what will happen in this chapter and if you don't then you will soon enough.
I appreciate the help for my chapter from my friend and thanks guys for the support of the story. You guys are awesome and I'm glad the story is still going. I don't own anything of Teen Titans or anything from the DC Universe, except my OCs that have appeared in the story. All right, it's time for the new chapter to begin and enjoy everyone.
The End part IV
Jump City
Beneath the abandoned library, Slade escorts Raven to the chamber where the ceremony will begin. With them are the fire demons that follow behind Raven and Slade.
"The chamber has been prepared for you," said Slade. "Everything is ready for Trigon's ascent."
"You're a fool," said Raven. "Whatever he promised, he won't deliver."
"Dear child, you don't know what you're talking about," he replied.
"You think I don't know my own father?" she replied knowing what her father is capable of.
"You are merely the portal an insignificant pawn in Trigons game," he said continuing with the argument.
"Then I guess we have that in common. And once he gets what he wants, you'll be insignificant too," she replied hitting a nerve in Slade.
"Shit your mouth!" He replied igniting his hands, until he is yanked back by the fire demons, holding him down. "Get off me! Do as I command!"
But despite giving the orders, he sees the demons aren't obeying. He then sees Raven approaching him with her eyes glowing red.
"Come to think of it, Slade, you're already insignificant. Even your own army won't listen to you," she replied almost enjoying seeing the shocked look in Slade's eye. Once she had enough she turned around and ordered the demons to release him.
Once they do they leave with Raven, while Slade looks on in disbelief and full of rage. He knew something was up and he needed to confront Trigon to get his answer.
Meanwhile
At the park, under a large tree, Anna is seen lying on the ground unconscious. After she was knocked out by Raven, she was teleported to the park where she would be safe.
Raven chose the park because it's where they went for some alone time. It wasn't their first date, but it made Raven feel happy because of her time with Anna.
She also transferred a bit of her power so that Anna can be safe once her father was freed. She hoped before she sent Anna away that she would forgive her and will understand in time why she did what she did.
Inside Anna's mind however she is surrounded by darkness and couldn't see where she was. She could feel her body become weaker and can feel her breathing slow down.
Is this is? She asked herself in her mind. Am I going to die?
"Not yet," said a familiar voice.
Anna opens her eyes and finds herself in what appears to be a white room. She looks around wondering where she is. It is then she realized her body is feeling better. In fact she doesn't feel anything.
She sits up and then sees her clothes have changed. She is now wearing a white robe and no shoes. Getting up from the floor she looks around and spots two large doors nearby. One was a dark door with two skulls attached to it. The other is golden door with a familiar symbol on the top.
It is then she realizes where she is and lets out a loud groan. "Crap, I'm in limbo. Does that mean I'm dead?"
"Almost," she turns around and sees someone walking towards her. "But, if you don't do something soon you will be."
Anna lets out a small gasp, in shock of who it is. "It can't be."
The woman appears around her 30's. She has long black hair, blue eyes, fair skin, and she is wearing a white cloak.
"Hello dear, it's been a while."
Anna didn't say anything. She rushes to the woman and wraps her arms around her. The woman returns the hug and can feel her crying. Anna finally talks, but stutters as she speaks to the woman.
"M-mom? Is it really you?"
The woman, turning out to be Anna's mother nods in response and hugs her daughter. "It's me, it's good to finally see you again, my little Anna."
Titan's tower
The Titans begin to wake up after being knocked out by Raven. They look around to see the sun is still out and no sign of their friend.
"Raven," said Robin still groaning after what their friend did.
Cyborg lets out a groan himself and cracks his neck. "She really picks a wallop."
"Dude, we were only trying to help her," said Beastboy sad at what their friend did.
"I fear it is too late to assist her," said Starfire seeing no hope now to stop Trigon.
Robin however didn't want to give up. "It's never too late."
Cyborg uses his forearm panel showing where Raven is at. "She's making her way back to the old library."
"Let's go," said Robin grabbing his two staffs.
"What about Anna?" Starfire asked.
"Do you think she is okay?" Beastboy asked.
Cyborg checks his panel again and sees where she is. "She's at the park, but doesn't appear to be moving. Should we go get her?"
"Knowing Raven she probably knocked her out too. We'll get her once we get Raven back," said Robin as the Titans took off.
Unknown location
Slade is in the cavern speaking with Trigon about what happened. "The portal approaches. The hour is near. It's time for my payment."
"Payment? For what?" Trigon asked with his eyes narrowed. "The gem returns of her own free will. You did not deliver her. I did."
"We had a deal. I held up my part of the bargain," said Slade angered that Trigon is not keeping his word.
Trigon begins laughing, which causes Slade to get upset and begins attacking Trigon. It didn't do anything as Trion decides to end this.
"I granted you these powers, and I can take them away!"
Trigon uses his powers to levitate Slade off the ground and begins draining his power away. Slade lets out a loud agonizing yell before he disappeared.
Limbo
"Mom, how are you here? And are you sure I'm not dead?" Anna asked as both her and her mom are sitting on a bench near the doors. "I thought you told me limbo is for dead people?"
Anna's mother begins to giggle and smile at her daughter. "You didn't pay attention to this part of the lesson, did you?"
Anna begins scratching the back of her head in embarrassment. "Well, to be honest who would be if your teacher was so boring."
Anna's mother decides to explain to her daughter where she is. "Technically you are dead, but it's temporary. It seems your girlfriend is working on trying to save you, so that means it's not your time yet."
Anna's expression changed to an angered one when she remembered what Raven did. "I can't believe she is going to sacrifice the world to save my life. She is such an idiot."
"And yet you still love her, don't you?" Anna's mother asked.
Anna stares at her mother surprise, but then figures she is an angel and they see everything. "So, you've been spying on me?"
"I have, but nothing involving anything personal," Anna's mother explained as she placed her hand on her daughter's. "She is very beautiful. You are lucky to have her."
"If she goes through what she is going to do then I won't have her at all," Anna decides to get back on the original topic. "Wait, you said I'm technically dead. Doesn't that mean I should be well…going in there?"
She points towards the dark gate. Anna's mother shook her head and continues explaining.
"If you were fully dead you would see this entire place is filled with dead people and see the doors opening. However, because of what Raven will do you will be heading back."
"When?" Anna asked.
"Soon, but we will use this time to help you get ready when you go back," said Anna's mother as they get up from the bench and begin walking. "First off, I want to say how proud I am of how you've been helping the church defeat the evil that has plagued this world. Although I sense you still view humanity the same way as before."
Anna nods in response knowing her views hasn't changed. "It's just too hard to see them as you do, mom. Look at Slade. That guy is willing to sell his soul to help end the world. He and people like him are the reason that humanity is going to hell."
"And you believe that helping save them will get you back home?" Anna's mother asked as they stop for a moment. "You know that's not how it works. I thought you would have learned that by now."
"I know," Anna replied as she lowers her head. "I also know you can't tell me what I need to do, but I wish you could tell me if I'm close on figuring it out?"
"You are," she replied as she places her hand on her shoulder. "Perhaps your journey to stop Trigon will help you figure it out."
"So, how do I stop him?" Anna asked.
"I know you put your weapons away, but they won't be enough to defeat Trigon. There is only one way to stop him," said Anna's mother as they continued walking. "Are you ready?"
Anna shook her head in confidence. "Tell me."
The chamber
Raven is seen looking up at the skylight where the sun is eclipsed. She looks down in her hand the penny Beastboy gave her and in the other hand the medallion Anna gave her. A small tear trailed down her face when she thought about her friends and girlfriend. She was hoping there was another way around this, but she now sees she can't hide from her destiny any longer.
The only thing she hopes for is her friends don't try to stop Trigon and Anna will stay away. Looking at the items again she closed her hands around them and knew the time has come.
"It is time," she said looking up at the stone hand pillar, with the fire demons surrounding it. "The prophecy shall be fulfilled."
As she begins heading towards the pillar, she hears something going on from behind. Turning around she sees her friends fighting their way to get to her, but are stopped by the demons.
"Raven!" Robin shouted trying to stop her.
She spins on her heel and clears the chamber of the demons with one hand. The Titans approached her as she lower her hood.
"It has already begun. And there is no stopping what is meant to be."
"You're willing to give up on everything, all because of some prophecy you hard as a child?" Robin asked, but when Raven didn't respond and lowered her face he tries speaking to her again. "What if it's wrong?"
"Robin, I know what I know," she said looking back at the others. "I have to do this."
"I don't accept that," said Robin refusing to give up on his friend. "You can take control. Make it not happen."
Starfire joins in on the conversation. "Robin is right. We are your friends and we do not want to see you do this. Not even Anna."
Raven's focus turn towards Starfire knowing what she is doing. "Starfire, don't bring her into this."
"I will because we both know she would not want you to do this. Not after all you have been through," said Starfire trying to change her friend's mind, even if it means revealing the truth.
"You don't get it I'm doing this for her so she doesn't die!" it is then that Raven realized what she just said.
"What do you mean?" Beastboy asked confused just like the others.
When Raven didn't reply, it is then that Robin realized what is going on. "You didn't find a cure for the poison. You took the deal, didn't you?"
Raven knew it was pointless to lie and decides to tell the truth. "It was the only way."
"Raven, why?" Cyborg asked.
"Because you know where she will go if she dies," Raven replied as she turns away from her friends. "I couldn't bear the thought of her suffering while I lived. For me that would be too much, so I did what I had to do to save her life because…"
"Because you love her, we know," said Robin surprising Starfire and Raven.
"You do?" Raven asked now facing her friends again. "But how?"
"Kind of obvious," Beastboy replied.
"We didn't say anything because we wanted to wait for you guys to tell us," said Cyborg smiling a little. "That and we also wanted to give you both your privacy."
Raven's cheeks begin to burn a little, but she shrugs it off. "Well, now you know why I'm doing this. I'm trying to save Anna, but also keep you guys safe."
"But do you think Anna will be okay with this?" Robin asked as he continues trying to stop Raven from becoming the portal. "She won't. Whatever deal you made with Trigon he will break it and hurt Anna. I know you're afraid of what will happen to her, but we both know she wouldn't let the world end if it means she lives. You know her better than that."
"I do, but it's not easy. I now see no matter what I do this day will happen," said Raven as she looks up at the eclipsed sun. "I tried to do good things to make up for the horrible thing I'm destined to do."
"But no one knows their destiny," said Robin. "There are things you can't possibly know."
"There are some things I didn't know," she then looks back at him. "Like how I would make such wonderful friends. Find love and be with someone who doesn't see me as a monster, but as a person. All I wanted to do was make all your days perfect, but instead you spent it worrying about me."
Robin grasps her hands and smiles. "That's what friends do and we're glad you found someone to love."
"I have," she then begins backing away. "And as my friends, you have to let me go."
She conjures a barricade between herself and her friends. She moves her hood up and heads up the pillar.
The Titans attempt to try to break through the barricade, but none of their attacks managed to even crack it. Raven makes it to the top of the pillar and sits cross-legged in midair.
"The gem was born of evil's fire. The gem shall be his portal. He comes to claim," she raises her hand and her eyes begin glowing white. "He comes to sire. The end of all things mortal."
The red symbols begin appearing all over her body as the Titans looked on.
"Raven!" Starfire shouted as she begins to sob and turns away into Robin's arms.
Raven let's out a loud scream as her body is engulfed in a bright light. She drops the penny and medallion, which shatters into pieces. The pillar begins to be destroyed as the Titans look on in fear. A large portal appeared as Trigon emerges, free from his prison.
"The Earth is mine!" he shouted as the Titans look on as the end of the world has begun.
Finally! The end of the first episode has arrived and we still got a long way to go. Yep, the next chapter will focus on the two episodes so you will be expecting a lot of parts to this arc. What will happen when Anna wakes up? What will happen to the Titans now that Trigon is freed?
Will they be able to stop the demon? Will they survive the arrival of one of the most dangerous villains in the DC universe? Will Anna's role in the story help them stop Trigon? And what has become of Raven?
