Here is the fifth part of this story! I'm happy at how far this story has come and yeah we still have a long way to go before this is over. Yeah a lot is going to be different from this story and the series. So hopefully you guys will like how it goes.
Anyways, last time we ended last time with Trigon's arrival. We also saw Slade is gone, the Titans tried to stop Raven, and Anna saw her mother again. How will the Titans do now that Trigon has arrived? And how will they defeat him?
Well, read on to find out what happens next. I don't own anything of Teen Titans or anything from the DC Universe. The only thing I own are my OCs that have appeared in the story. All right, it's time for the new chapter to begin and enjoy everyone.
The End part V
The Chamber
"The gem was born of evil's fire. The gem shall be his portal. He comes to claim," she raises her hand and her eyes begin glowing white. "He comes to sire. The end of all things mortal."
The red symbols begin appearing all over her body as the Titans looked on.
"Raven!" Starfire shouted as she begins to sob and turns away into Robin's arms.
Raven lets out a loud scream as her body is engulfed in a bright light. She drops the penny and medallion, which shatters into pieces. The pillar begins to be destroyed as the Titans look on in fear. A large portal appeared as Trigon emerges, free from his prison.
"The Earth is mine!" he shouted.
Triton unleashes a shock wave that vibrated across the chamber towards the Titans, when suddenly a small black shield protected them. The shock wave escaped from the chamber, towards the city as a ball of red light grows tearing buildings apart.
It also passed through the people, the plants, and the wildlife leaving everything as a wasteland. It then spread all around the world leaving it dead.
Jump City
Robin begins to wake up as he finds himself outside. He sits up and is shock when he sees the world looks apocalyptic.
"I could have done something," he said softly while rubbing his arm. "I should have found a way."
He turns the corner and sees what happened to the people. They have become stone, all with horror expressions and look dead.
"These are innocent people," he said feeling horrible about what happened to them.
He wish he had done more to stop Raven so the people wouldn't have suffered like this. It is then when he hears something nearby.
"Who's there?"
He then sees a bird flapping down getting his attention. He notices the red eyes and how it's staring at him.
"Raven?" he asked figuring it's her.
The bird took off and Robin goes after it. He chases the bird up a building wondering where it's leading him. Making his way up to the roof he sees the bird is gone with no sign of where it went. He lets out a heavy sigh and falls on both knees.
"Raven," he said when part of the floor where he is on begins cracking.
He begins to fall, but is caught by Cyborg. "I Gotcha."
Robin smile weakly in relief glad to see his friend. He is pulled up and he sees the others are with Cyborg.
"Robin," Starfire flies at him and gives him a hard hug. "You are unharmed."
She breaks the hug giving Robin a chance to catch his breath. "I saw something out there, in the city. It led me here."
"It led all of us here…" he then realized not everyone is here. "Almost all of us."
"We're the only one left," said Cyborg.
"But how is this possible?" How have we survived?" Starfire asked.
"It was Raven," Beastboy replied. "She saved us. I don't know how, but she did."
Robin then recalls what Raven said before she knocked them out. "Back at the Tower, when Raven knocked us out, the last thing I heard was her voice. It said, 'Be safe.' She did something that protected us from Trigon." It then he realized something. "That means Anna must be a live too. Did you guys find her?"
Starfire shook her head. "If Raven did protect us, then she must have done the same for Anna too."
"As if it matters," said Cyborg as he looks around the destroyed city. "Look around. There's nothing left. What's the point?"
"Hope," Robin replied. "That's the point. As long as we're still here, we still have a chance. And that's why we're going to keep fighting," he then holds out one, palm down. "For Raven."
Starfire reaches out her hand and lays it on Robin's. "For Raven."
Cyborg does the same. "For Raven."
Beastboy is the last to put his hand with the others. "For Raven."
As soon as his hand connects, a great flash of white exploded for a moment pushing them all away. They look at their hands surprised and wondering what just happened.
"Okay, that felt weird," said Cyborg.
"Raven may not have been able to stop Trigon from coming-," he then moves his hand up that is covered in a dark aura. "-but she left us a way to fight. She gave us some of her power."
"And it grows when we stand as one," said Starfire realizing what they need to do.
Meanwhile
Anna arrives to the abandoned building and begins using the shovel to dig up where her bag is at. She has to be careful since the building suffered some damage after Trigon arrived. So she knew she didn't have much time to stay inside and has to hurry to get her things. After that she hopes to find her friends to see if they survived too.
Knowing Raven she probably saved them too. At least she hopes they are and they won't be dumb enough to go after Trigon.
"Oh crap, they are," said Anna to herself as she finds the bag and carefully pulls the bag out. After making sure all her stuff are inside, she prepares to leave when she sees one of the pillars of the building begins to crack. "Time to go."
She begins running out of the building as it begins to fall apart. She sees an opening and jumps out of the building just seconds before it collapsed on her. Looking back she sighed in relief that she made it out and then looks at her hand. At that moment she realized that she has regain her full strength back.
After being in such a weakened condition like the way she was when she got poisoned, she is happy that she is better. Even though it only happened because Raven chose to end the world to save her.
"Damn it, Rae," she muttered. "I told you I didn't need saving. That my life is not worth the lives of all these people."
She pulls out her two revolvers along with her gun belt. Placing it around her waist, she puts her guns in the holsters, and loads up on more equipment for her mission.
"Trigon, I'll deal with you as soon as I find my girl," it is then that Anna realized she doesn't know where to start looking. "Damn it, mom. You had to leave out that small detail, didn't you?"
"If you're looking for Raven, I know where to find her," Anna pulls out her two guns when she heard a familiar voice behind her.
"No fucking way," she then sees who it is coming out of the shadows, which only further made her angry. "What the hell do you want?"
Titan's Tower
Trigon is sitting on the remains of the tower as a throne, breathing deeply. He is surrounded by an ocean of lava as he begins growing a bit from the arms to his hoof legs.
Starfire appeared as she fires a flurry of starbolts at the demon. Robin leapfrogs across the rocks in the bay and throws a handful of discs at him causing them to explode. Beastboy flies over as a Pterodactyl with Cyborg as he fires his sonic blast at the demon. These attacks did little damage, but rather annoyed Trigon as he sees the four young heroes gather together.
"Trigon!" Robin shouted. "Stand up and fight!"
"Insignificant insects," Trigon replied seeing the heroes as no threat to him.
"I think it's time to hit him hard," said Robin towards the others.
"You're positive we're not going to accidentally microwave our brains?" Beastboy asked.
"I have used Raven's powers once before," said Starfire recalling the time they switched bodies. "They are controlled by emotions. The more we fell, the more energy is released."
"In other words, get angry!" said Cyborg.
The four Titans joined hands in line as black sparks begin flying around them. They begin to levitate into the air as the four Titans in unison begin chanting the words their friend uses before attacking.
"Azarath Metrion Zinthos!"
A ball of energy appears in the center as it is send flying towards Trigon. It hits him in the chest causing him to let out a loud roar. The Titans look on thinking they have already won, but to their surprise it's not over. Trigon's mouth twists into a cruel smile as he opens all four eyes.
"You may think it is wise to attack me while I gather my strength, but as you can see, not even a farewell blessing from my daughter can help you," said Trigon as his eyes begin to blaze. "Be gone."
A quadruple beam flashes out as they blast the Titans sending them flying across the city. They soon crashed into what remains of the chamber through the hole that was made.
"Guess that wasn't angry enough," said Cyborg rubbing his head.
"Of all the places to crash and burn, why'd it have to be here?" Beastboy asked.
"Please, I wish to leave," said Starfire not wanting to remain in the place where they lost their friend.
"And go where?" Cyborg asked bitterly. "The whole world is toast. The only two people who'd know what to do is Anna and…we could really use their help right now."
Robin climbs up the steps and looks at the blackened pit where Trigon came through. "I know what we saw, but I still can't believe it. It doesn't feel like Raven's really gone."
"That's because she isn't," the Titans look over shocked when they see Slade appear from the shadows.
"Slade," said Robin as he jumps high and fires a handful of birdarangs at Slade.
Slade dodges them as Beastboy charges at him as a Triceratops. He slams Slade into the wall, where the Titans surround him curious on why he isn't fighting back.
"What's the matter Slade?" Robin asked. "Giving up already?"
"Sorry to disappoint you, Robin, but I'm not here to fight," said Slade standing up. "I'm here to help."
"We don't need your help!" Beastboy shouted.
"Yes. You seem to have everything under control," said Slade as he begins dusting himself off. "Raven can still be saved."
Starfire gets upset as she slams Slade into the wall with one hand and has a starbolt in the other. "You will not dishonor our friend with your trickery!"
"Whatever you're selling, we're not buying! said Cyborg as he aims his sonic blast at Slade.
"Stop!" the Titans turn around and see Anna appear behind them. "He's telling the truth."
"Anna!" Beastboy runs up to his friend and hugs her.
"Good to see you too, Beastboy," Anna then turns towards Starfire. "Let him go, guys."
"But Anna, he has helped the Trigon," said Starfire.
"Not anymore, isn't that right?" Anna asked towards Slade.
"Your friend is correct. Think of me what you will. But what Trigon did, even I wouldn't wish on this world" said Slade. "I offer now my assistance to you because it suits me and because of an agreement I made with your friend here."
Robin turns towards Anna. "What kind of agreement did you two make?"
"Don't worry about it," Anna replied as she approaches Starfire. "Let him go so he can help us find Raven."
Starfire begins to cool down and loosen her grip. "But we saw Raven become the portal. She was destroyed."
"Raven has fulfilled the prophecy of her birth," began Slade. "That part of her existence if complete. But another part still remains, for the moment."
"Huh?" Beastboy asked confused.
"He means is that a part of Raven is still alive, but unless we find her soon she will be gone," Anna explained.
"Why would you help us?" Robin asked as he turns towards Anna. "What kind of agreement did you make and don't tell me not to worry about it."
Anna sighed in annoyance. "Let's just say the deal won't affect us finding Raven. But we need to hurry to find her before Trigon does something to her."
"Why doesn't he just tell us where she is and we'll take it from there?" Cyborg asked.
"Because of Trigon," Anna replied.
"She is right," said Slade as he explains. "Trigon is all-seeing and will know if we try to save Raven. However, if you were to keep his mind occupied then will save your friend."
"But only one of you guys can come with us," said Anna as she pulls out her bag and opens it. "The rest of you will have to deal with Trigon. These should give you the advantage, for now."
Anna hands Cyborg the new upgrade they worked on for his sonic blaster to harm demons. "Even if we have the tools we need to hurt him, it won't do any good if we can't protect ourselves from any attack he fire at us."
Anna turns towards Slade. "You said you have something for them?"
Slade pulls out a small ring with symbols on it. "With this, you might be able to survive. It's a ring of Azar. Forged by the same order that imprisoned Trigon. I know from experience that it works."
Robin takes the ring and then hands it to Starfire. "I'm going with them."
"Robin, no," said Starfire.
"If there's even the slightest chance to save Raven, what choice do we have?" he replied.
"Then it's agreed," Anna hands Robin his two staffs that she found. "Don't lose these again."
Robin nods in response and then takes the staffs. He then turns towards Starfire and gives her a quick hug.
"I know you can do it."
"It may get ugly…-" began Cyborg, before Beastboy got on his shoulders. "But don't worry. We'll keep him busy."
"Yeah," Beastboy agreed. "Just wait 'till Trigon gets slapped with my patented Wet Willie Maneuver."
"He won't know what hit him," said Robin.
"Their goodbye are really touching," said Slade in a mock tone. "But we have work to do."
"They know," said Anna who is smiling. "But it doesn't mean they can't have a good moment before they go into hell. Rose knows all about that."
Slade didn't react when Anna mentioned his daughter's name. "So, you're the secret friend she has."
Anna nods in response. "And you two really need to bond some more." She then walks off towards her friends, each giving them a hug. "We'll find her and we'll bring her back."
Once they all said their goodbyes, Anna and Robin begin following Slade as they make their way down the hole Trigon came out of. As they make their way down they approach a large great door that is blocking their path.
"Before we continue a warning. If we succeed, I can't guarantee you'll both like what you find," said Slade towards the two teenagers.
"We'll take our chances," Robin replied as the three open the door.
They enter a long corridor lined with large stone ravens that glow with an unseen orange light. They then make their way towards a ledge where it overlooks a vast ravine of lava, with a small rowboat nearby.
They get on the rowboat and begin making their way across the river of lava. Slade uses a metal staff to row, while Anna sits in the front and Robin works the rudder.
"So why did you do it?" Robin asked towards Slade. "For money? Status? Those dark powers?"
"Not everything is so cut and dry, Robin," Slade replied.
"Selling out our world for your own personal gain seems pretty cut and dry to me," said Robin.
"With or without me, there was no stopping this," said Slade.
"He's got a point," said Anna joining in on the conversation. "Trigon would have found someone else to make this happen. I know now there was no stopping this, but I really wish Raven chose a different path."
"Like choosing love over becoming the portal?" Robin asked getting Anna's attention. "We know, but we didn't say anything because we wanted you guys to tell us."
Anna lets out a small sigh. "I wanted to tell you guys, but you know Raven."
"I do," said Robin understanding why Anna didn't say. "But still, you played a part in all of this, Slade. And just like everything you've ever done, it's made people suffer," said Robin.
"It's what I do best," said Slade as he turns towards Anna. "And she did chose love, Anna. Just not the way I'm sure you wanted her to choose."
Suddenly fire demons begin appearing from the lava as they begin attacking the trio. They move towards some rocks and get off as they begin fighting. Anna takes out her revolvers and opens fire destroying several of the demons. Robin pulls out his staffs, dodges their attacks, and takes them down.
Slade nearby faces several of the demons with the pole taking them down. The trio join together back to back as they fought the demons back.
"Only a minor setback," said Slade. "Nothing three old friends can't handle."
"I'm not your friend," Robin replied.
"Shut it you two and just fight," said Anna as she opens fire as the demons.
They jump off the rock onto others where they begin fighting. One demon wraps around the pole and begins pulling Slade towards the lava. Robin leaps over and takes out the demon. One comes behind him, but is shot in the head by Anna. She puts her guns away and pulls out a silver sword, which she uses to slash the demons in half.
The three regroup and charge at the remaining demons swinging their weapons at them. Slade seizes Robin's wrists and the two take down several demons nearby. Anna hands one of her revolver at Slade, who catches it and opens fire on three demons nearby. He tosses it back to Anna, who tosses her sword at Robin as he uses it on the demons, and Anna uses her gun on four of them.
Robin hands her sword back as they go to finish up the remaining demons. One charges at Slade, who ducks and it almost hits Robin, but he takes it out.
"I thought we had a deal," said Robin upset at what Slade just try to do.
"Old habits die hard," Slade replied when a demon appears from behind lashing at his face knocking the mask off.
Anna swings her sword and takes the demon out. She regroups with Robin making sure all the demons are gone, before they turn towards Slade. He turns around to face the Titans showing his fleshless skull, cracked and stained an ulcerous gray. It also shows an empty right eye socket while a fleck of red fire shines in the left eye, and the rest with a grimace of unchanging fury.
"I'd rather you hadn't seen that," said Slade as he pts his mask back on. "It's really only temporary condition."
"I guess you were telling the truth about Trigon not giving your life back," said Anna not surprise by the appearance she just saw. "But honestly, what did you expect from trusting a demon?"
"Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't your girlfriend do the same?" Slade replied.
"Watch it," Anna warned.
"So, what are you?" Robin asked.
Slade turns towards Anna, who nods her head, and then he turns towards Robin as they continued walking. "After my demise at the hands of Terra, I was approached by Trigon who offered me a chance to live again. I took it and I assumed he would keep to his end of the agreement. I was wrong and so I approached Anna with a chance to help her find Raven. In exchange she helps me get to where I need to go."
Robin turns towards Anna. "And you didn't tell us this before, because?"
"Would you still have gone through with it?" she asked knowing what his response would be. "Besides, it's better to make a deal with him than one with Trigon."
Robin couldn't disagree that Slade is the lesser of two evils between him and Trigon. "I just hope you know what you're doing."
"I always do," said Anna as they continued making their way down.
That is until Slade falls over the edge and slides down towards a bridge. Anna and Robin make their way down as Slade gets up.
"You two must be overjoyed to see me like this," said Slade rubbing his arm. "Desperate. Weak. Vulnerable."
"We're here to save Raven, not pity you. Which way?" Robin asked.
"I'm afraid this is where we part," said Slade as he points along a ledge. "You'll find your friend along that path."
"What about you?" Anna asked.
"What I seek is in a somewhat hotter place," Slade replied as he begins crossing the bridge.
"That's it?" Robin asked surprised. "No double-cross? No cryptic threat?"
"I kept my word. How about a little gratitude?" Slade asked.
"This doesn't change anything. If I ever see you again…" Robin is interrupted by Slade.
"I wouldn't expect anything less," said Slade who then turns towards Anna. "You remember what I wanted you to deliver?"
Anna nods in response before Slade walks across the bridge leaving the two teenagers. Robin turns towards Anna confused by what Slade said.
"What did you want you to deliver?"
"A message to someone he knows," Anna replied as they continued walking.
The two soon arrived to where their path took them as they continued heading towards a large building. They then come across two demons that appeared from behind. However, the two heroes pulled out their weapons and take out the demons. More begin appearing, but the heroes didn't seem worried.
"You guys again?" Robin asked as he uses a birdarangs that turned into a sword.
The two cut through the demons. The demons that cut apart tried to merge together, but Anna pulls out her guns and shot their heads off.
"Let's go," said Anna as they head towards the building, which appears to be a church.
They go inside and see there is some damage. There are some markings of Trigon around and some bench seats scattered around the room.
"Hello?" said Robin, which echoed around the temple. "Is anyone here?"
They then hear some noises coming from behind. Following the noise they managed to see a shadowy figure moving around. They follow the figure as they try catching up to see who it is. They catch up to the figure and pulled away the cloak covering the person.
They are shocked to see who it is. "Raven?" Robin asked.
It is indeed Raven, but she is around eight years of age. She is wearing her usual attire, except the color is white and looks scared.
"Who…who are you?"
That's the end of the chapter and I hope everyone likes how this went. Yeah if you probably noticed I didn't add the scenes involving Beastboy, Starfire, and Cyborg verses their evil sides. I didn't because I thought it would be better to focus on Anna, Robin, and Slade. Hopefully you guys are not disappointed with that and yep we are one episode away from ending "The End" arc.
How is it going to go? Will I be able to fit in everything or break it up into different parts like I did with the first episode part? Will Anna and Robin be able to bring Raven back to their friends? And how will it end?
Find out next time to see what happens next as this story continues. If you guys like what happened then please leave some reviews and let me know what you think. If you didn't like this then don't leave a flame review please. Take care everyone and see you all next time.
