Ray Tanaka: Had to redo this bio, since I misspelled "Mojave" in the original version.
Aslan: Really?
Ray Tanaka: Yeah, I actually lived in the Mojave Desert, so it's kind of embarrassing about misspelling it.
Original Kaiju Characters: Aslan
Name: Aslan
Alias: Guardian of the Mojave, "That huge spiny lizard", Hercules Horned Lizard
Creation: Came in contact with the Jewel of the Mojave
Height: 6 feet (1.83 meters)
Length: 16 feet (4.88 meters)
Origin: Mojave Desert, Southwestern United States
Fraction: Earth Defender
Description: He has the appearance of a Bearded Dragon, but has larger spines lining his sides, the ending half of his tail, and the back of his head. Also, he has slightly longer legs than a regular Bearded Dragon.
Powers:
- Armor-like Scales: Thanks to the Jewel of the Mojave, Aslan is able to withstand large explosions and gunfire thanks to his scales.
- Solar Heat Ray: By using the sun's rays as a power source, Aslan is able to fire a yellow ray of fiery energy at an opponent. This blast of energy is able to destroy weakened foes and can harm stronger opponents.
- Solar Shield: By using the sun's rays as a power source, Aslan is able to generate a blue semi-transparent energy shield to protect him from most energy attacks. This shield is unable to protect him from physical attacks.
- Camouflage: Thanks to the Jewel of the Mojave, Aslan is able to change the appearance of his skin to match his surroundings. This camouflage can be seen through by those with sharp eyes.
- Blood Shot: Much like his smaller cousins, Aslan is able to squirt blood from the corner of his eyes. His blood has a weak acidic effect which can melt through bark and some armor, but can't break through steel and can only stain rocks.
- Tail Mace: Aslan has spikes lining the half end of his tail that he can use to harm opponents and can break through metal with one swing.
- Spikes: On the sides of his body and the back of his head, Aslan has spikes that he can use to harm opponents and can pierce through metal. Unlike the ones on Aslan's tail, these spikes are used for defensive purposes.
Weakness: Much like all reptiles, Aslan has to warm his blood using the sun during the morning hours and moves sluggishly during this time.
History: Originally a small Horned Lizard that lived in the Mojave Desert, Aslan came into contact with the Jewel of the Mojave, which absorbed itself into the small reptile and turned the Horned Lizard into a giant being. Although sightings of this kaiju have been documented for nearly six hundred years, Aslan was soon confirmed as being real in the year of 1975.
This confirmed status was due to the nuclear testing harming the higher parts of the Mojave Desert, causing Aslan to avoid these areas in order to avoid the radiation in those areas. Despite his sighting ranging for almost six hundred years, not much is known about the Guardian of the Mojave and tends to avoid human settlements while using less traveled areas of the Mojave to reside.
Many scientists have hypothesized that he may eat the giant ants from the deserts of New Mexico, but others suggest that Aslan is a vegetarian and chows down on the native vegetation of the Mojave Desert. Some records of these sightings have been accompanied with the bodies of cougars that have been killed by Aslan, most likely in defense against an ambush.
Many hunters from around the world have went into the Mojave Desert in order to capture or slay the Guardian of the Mojave, but all who have tried return empty handed and with new information with photo evidence of this information. One of these facts that have been discovered by a hunter from Australia was the fact that Aslan is sluggish during morning hours much like his smaller cousins and needs to warm his blood using the sun.
A few scientists have travelled through the Mojave Desert in order to find more information about the "Hercules Horned Lizard", as some biologists have dubbed him. While the few scientists that have studied Aslan in the wild were successful, a majority of the information that they have found were already known to the scientific community. However, the origin of his name, Aslan, is still unknown and can only be guessed at for no recorded account until the early twentieth century has called the creature this name.
Ray Tanaka: There...better!
