Sebastian woke up hours later and looked out of the window. The sky was still dark and the moon still visible. He made his way back to Ciel sleeping in the same position as earlier still pressed against his chest. He smiled and quietly shifted and lifted himself off of the bed. He crossed the bedroom and snuck into the bathroom to rummage through one of his bags he had brought to Ciel's house. He pulled out a pair of black cargo pants, stripped off his sweats and shirt and slipped into the pants. He fastened the pants and looped a studded belt through them and secured it tightly. The next item to be pulled out of the bag was a skin tight black spandex shirt. After pulling it over his head and adjusting it, Sebastian pulled out a fairly well fitted black studded jacket and left it open. His well sculpted body was visible through the spandex shirt. He splashed some cold water onto his face and pulled on a pair of dark boots that took a few minutes to lace up. After finishing he zipped his bag up and made his way out of the bathroom. Taking one last look back towards the sleeping figure on the bed, he exited the room quietly and made his way towards the front door. Just as he reached for the handle, a small voice muttered from behind the couch. Sebastian stood completely still and shifted his gaze towards the couch. He heard Alois mumbling in his sleep. He waited for the boy to get back to talking to himself and made a quick escape out of the door making no noise at all.

Once out of the building and on the sidewalk, Sebastian felt the air chill his skin and he looked around to check and see if anyone was walking around or lingering on the street. He didn't want to seem suspicious.

'I guess my excuse would be that I'm going to the store. Since I've been there on more than one occasion in the middle of the night.' With that thought, he walked to his car and opened the back door. Reaching for a bag on the floor, he heard a voice coming from behind him.

"Mister, what are you doing? Are you stealing?" Sebastian stood up and stared at the child standing behind him. The girl was dirty. Her hair was ratted and her clothes slightly tattered. Her left shoe was basically nonexistent. She'd probably be better off walking around barefoot.

"My mom says it's not nice to steal things." Sebastian's eyes softened and he crouched down to try and be more at level with the little girl.

"Well, your mom is right. I'm not stealing, this is my car. See, these are my keys." Sebastian held his keys up and jingled them in front of his face. She made a face and smiled at him.

"Oh okay. You look nice. What are you doing out here, its night time." The little girl looked around and pointed up and down the street.

"See there's nobody out here." Sebastian smiled sweetly and leaned in closer, beckoning her forward with his index finger.

"Well, I'll tell you, but you have to keep it a secret." The little girl nodded and leaned in closer to listen to him, an intent expression on her face.

"I have to work at night. It's easier for me to get stuff done because everyone else in the world is sleeping." The girl shot him a questioning look.

"What do you do?"

"I'm hired by very rich men to take care of people for them." The girl smiled and Sebastian saw a small gap in her teeth where a tooth had fallen out recently.

"You take care of your bosses friends? That's so nice of you." Sebastian's heart sank, knowing that the little girl had no idea what he was really talking about.

"That's right. Now young lady, what are you doing out here?" The girl looked up at Sebastian and her eyes flicked to the left.

"I'm just taking a walk." Sebastian frowned a little and looked down at the ground.

"You're not telling me the truth are you?" The girl looked at him.

"How do you know?"

"When someone lies, they usually look to the left. You looked to the left and made up an answer. Why are you really out here all by yourself? It's dangerous." The girl frowned and looked down at her tattered shoes and remained silent.

"Alright, you don't have to tell me." Sebastian pulled out a ten dollar bill and handed it to the girl. She smiled and happily took it from him.

"I want you to go to the nearest store and buy yourself something to eat. You're too skinny." He reached forward and tickled the girl's boney sides, causing her to giggle and worm around. When he stopped she smiled and threw her arms around his neck. He was shocked at first then gently patter her on the back.

"Thank you so much." Sebastian stood up and pointed towards the store, sending her off down the street. The girl took off running and stopped to look at him once more.

"Will I get to see you again?" Sebastian looked up at Ciel's building at glanced at their living room window. He nodded.

"Do you see that window up there?" The girl nodded.

"Tomorrow night, whenever you can, climb up all of the stairs in this building and knock on the door to your right when you get to the top, got it? I'll be in there." The girl smiled excitedly and Sebastian returned the smile while shooing her off.

Once she was out of sight, he returned to the bag in his car and pulled out a case of assorted knives and another case closed up and locked. He tossed the bag back onto the floor and shut his door quietly. Looking around once more he made his way down the street and waited a good five minutes until he ducked into an alleyway and crouched down behind a dumpster. He pulled the knives out and slid them into assorted loops and pockets on his pants. He popped open the other case and pulled out two heavy hand guns. He checked them and slid them into their proper places inside of his coat. He stashed the cases underneath the garbage can and peered around the corner to make sure nobody was on the street. As he made his way past numerous apartment complexes and cars parked on the side of the street, Sebastian began to pick up his pace and followed the unfamiliar street signs, winding around and eventually ending up far away from his starting spot. Sebastian had time to think to himself while he walked.

'How would you explain to someone what I do for a living?' He tried to focus but had a hard time. Images of Ciel flashed through his head and he stopped to try and clear his mind. He leaned forward and rested his hands on his knees. Once he gave himself a moment to clear his thoughts, he was back to walking down unknown streets. He thought about work only.

'I can't be mixing Ciel and work up.' He eventually reached a more popular looking business area of the city and looked up to gaze at the top of the building. It wasn't too big, but it wasn't too small either. Sebastian walked around the perimeter and noticed cameras scanning the surrounding area and stayed out of their sights. He found the back of the building where business trucks and other vehicles brought in supplies and looked around. There were no cameras, like usual and he made his way up to the large garage looking door that had a giant 6 painted on it. He bent over and slid his fingers into the small crack left between the concrete and the bottom of the door. He carefully pulled the door up and gave himself enough space to crawl in easily. He ducked under the door and made his way around the loading garage until he found the door that lead to the stairwell. He slipped on a pair of fitted black gloves and wiggled the handle. The door opened easily and Sebastian stepped inside.

"I love it when people are careless. Makes my job a little bit easier." Sebastian's body moved swiftly up the numerous flights of stairs. He didn't break a sweat and reached the floor he needed to be at quickly. With a slight push against the door, he was standing in a room compacted with cubicles. He moved swiftly as to not be detected and hid underneath a desk quietly and patiently waited. Eventually he heard someone open a door to the room and he readied himself. He waited to hear a voice but in turn heard two.

"This is the floor, right sir?" An older more scratchy voice muttered out. The lights flickered on and Sebastian looked around for another switch.

"Yes you idiot, now move. I have to meet the boss here in a few minutes. Go away. We have important things to talk about." The man snarled and Sebastian heard the door slam shut. The man left in the room muttered a few derogatory comments about the older sounding man who Sebastian assumed was the janitor.

'Dick. It's amazing more people don't want him dead.' Sebastian shook his head and crawled out graciously from underneath the desk. He reached for the light switch and flicked the lights back off. A loud gasp was heard from across the room.

"Hello? Who's there? Boss, is that you?" The man seemed slightly panicked and frantic. His voice was shaky. Sebastian could picture the man standing there in the dark, clutching his brief case to his chest with a worried expression on his face, snapping his neck from side to side looking for any signs of movement in the room. In his experience, the dark always seemed to amplify the targets fear. No matter what words were muttered, their voices were all the same. Shaky and had ranging levels of terror in them.

He weaved in and out of cubicles unlit he reached one much closer to the man standing near the window, he was most likely using it as a source of lighting to look around the darkened office. He climbed up onto the desk next to the window and the man looked up as Sebastian crouched there, being careful to not mess up any of the office equipment.

"Who are you?" Sebastian sat there in silence and stared at the man. He looked normal. He was wearing a brown suit with a horrendous green tie. His brown leather brief case matched his outfit and just as he suspected it was clutched tightly against the man's chest. He wasn't built, but he wasn't too husky either. He could see the man's chest rising and falling rapidly. He knew he was scared out of his mind and Sebastian shook his head.

"You're making this way too easy for me."

"E-easy? What are you? A vampire!" Sebastian stared wide eyed at the man and let out a loud chuckle. He clutched his sides and tried to regain composure. The man stared at him, fear stricken and not moving an inch. He clearly was a clueless bastard.

"A vampire huh. That's new." Sebastian smiled wickedly and glanced back at the man.

"Okay, back to being serious. It seems you've uncovered some valuable documents that your sticky little hands shouldn't have a hold of. Your boss has hired me to get them back from you." The man shook his head in disbelief.

"W-why would anyone go this far to get back a couple of stupid documents?" The man threw his briefcase onto the floor and rummaged through numerous piles of paper until he found a stack held together by a paper clip. He held the pile of papers up for Sebastian to take. Sebastian snatched up the documents and read a small section of the first page before flipping through the stack.

"Alright, that went smoothly. Wouldn't you say?" The man nodded viciously and sighed in relief.

"Unfortunately, your boss suspects you've read these and that's not good news for you. He's ordered me to eliminate you from his company." The man's head snapped up and he began frantically screaming and pleading for his life.

"You can't! I have a family, kids and a wife to take care of! Who is going to be there for them when I'm gone." Sebastian tuned the man's frantic screaming out and quickly drew his gun, swept sideways and shot him directly in the side of the head. The man's noises ceased and his body fell lifelessly to the floor in a heavy slump. After a few moments of silence Sebastian knelt down and reached into the man's pocket. Pulling out his wallet and flipping it open to go through his personal information.

"Daniel Snyder. Decent liar. Well Daniel, looks like the only people who will be missing you are your cats." The wallet contained only pictures of cats and the victim. Sebastian shoved the wallet back into the dead body's pocket and began to clean up any traces he may have left behind using various cleaning supplies he found lying around the office. Any prints, smudges or traces of skin or hair were gone. Sebastian grabbed the corpse's hand and covered the gun in the man's finger prints, stood up and pretended to shoot himself in the side of the head, tossing the gun sideways.

Making his way down the steps, Sebastian thought about the man he had just killed.

"What compels people to lie like that. Desperation? I guess some people will do or say anything to live." Sebastian crawled back out under the large garage door and pulled it back down only this time shutting it completely.

It was much easier finding his way back to Ciel's apartment. He decided to take his time walking and huffed in heavy breaths of the still chilly air. He felt the air tingle inside of his chest, awakening his lungs and replenishing fresh, clean air to them. He stared up at the sky and noticed a majority of the sky was clear now and the moon was gone, most likely hiding behind a building. He decided to pick up the pace and ran back to the apartment before the light began to kill the darkness, only stopping to pick up the cases for his weapons. He opened his car again, tossing the two cases back into the bag. After locking his car back up he directed his attention to the window again. He thought about how nice it would be to run up the stairs quietly and strip out of his clothes, then crawl back into Ciel's bed with him. It's nothing like a practical business man coming home to sleep in bed next to his loving wife in their comfortable bed, in their cozy, warm house, but it was as close enough for Sebastian.

He made his way upstairs and gently pushed the door open. He glanced over the back of the couch to see Alois sprawled on it sleeping like a baby still. He smiled and made his way towards Ciel's room. He was still asleep as well. The light began to tint the sky and Sebastian quickly stripped his clothes off and tossed them into his bag in the bathroom, changing back into his sweats and long sleeved shirt. He padded quietly across the floorboards and ruffled his hair up a bit. His body caused the bed to dip down under his weight and Ciel's body moved with it. He quickly crawled completely onto the bed and positioned himself directly behind Ciel once again, just like he had been earlier that night.

Lost in thought, Sebastian studied the back of Ciel's head and watched as his tiny body moved with every breath he took. Staring at his hand, he couldn't help but think about pulling the trigger of the gun he had left at the building he was sure he'd never see again. He wouldn't be suspected at all for anything, he'd never have a reason to make his way to that part of town again unless it was for another job. He thought about all of the lives he had taken. His thoughts were interrupted as the figure in front of him rustled a bit in his sleep and began to struggle underneath the blankets. Sebastian watched Ciel as he eventually was able to turn himself around and nuzzle up against Sebastian's chest. Sebastian's heart tingled with feeling and he couldn't help but wrap his arm around Ciel's body.

How can the hands that shed blood, tear apart families, take away lives and destroy relationships be so gentle. For the first time in a long time Sebastian had to think about what it was he was really doing when he went in blindly and took people's lives. Even though the man he had killed earlier lied about the family he claimed to have had, how many families had Sebastian ruined because of his job? He hated to think about it. Not because he felt sympathy for the people he had murdered, but because he imagined being in their families position. Thinking that if anyone ever tried to hurt Ciel his life would end right then and there. He'd tear apart houses and take out anyone who got in his way looking for the ones who had hurt the one person in the world he really cared about. As he looked down to watch the boy in his arms sleep, he watched Ciel's eyes flutter open. His small chest expanded as he took in his first breath of morning air.

"Did I wake you?" Ciel's voice was raspy and laced with sleepiness. Sebastian smiled lovingly and shook his head.

"No. I've been awake for a while." Ciel returned the smile and reached up to rub the sleepiness from his eyes.

"You should have woken me up." Sebastian pulled Ciel closer and chuckled.

"No, I like watching you sleep." Ciel yawned and mumbled to himself.

"Nngh. That's so creepy." Sebastian just smiled and felt Ciel relax more and rest his head back against Sebastian's chest.

"You ready to get up?" Ciel tried to wrap a frail arm around Sebastian's waist as he shook his head.

"No, I want to stay like this a little longer." Sebastian agreed and they remained in bed until the light completely took over the room. Sebastian wouldn't mention a word to Ciel that he had left the house that night. He thought it best to keep everything to himself. Allowing him to get involved would be putting Ciel in danger and he couldn't risk Ciel being in any more danger than he already was, with thugs on the streets, him working as an exotic dancer and having Claude lingering around. He wasn't ready to involve Ciel in his work life. He didn't know when he would tell him what he did for a living, but the day would eventually come and whatever Ciel decided to do or say about it he'd accept completely. But for now, he'd embrace the boy and enjoy the moment of happiness.
