Last time: Lens sent him a death glare for who knows what reason. This boy and that girl give me a bad feeling.

"So I h-hear you j-just moved back here." Spencer said, tried to initiate conversation. It wasn't working very well.

"Yeah." I said, ignoring my shyness that came in went. I blew him off and half paid attention to everything he said. The only part I caught, was that the Newmans haven't had a show since I left.

"What?!" I semi-yelled. The class turned and looked at me. "Sorry." They went back to what they were doing. "What do you mean the band hasn't done a gig? Did they like pack up as soon as I left or something?"

Spencer whispered back. " Yeah, pretty much. I'm surprised that you never heard about that. That's how your rivals got popular." Lenny glared at him, seeing that we were talking. It looked like he wasn't have a good time with what's-her-face. I glared right back at him.

I was not having a good day with my best friend (or without) and this was becoming apparent each moment I talked to my 'groupie' of sorts.

According to him, when I left, my band fell into a depression kind of. I have no clue how a band could do that, but it did not, and still doesn't matter.

I was beyond mad to learn about my band hanging out with Garbage Band. Lens and I were going to have a little talk sometime today.

"Wait, Spence." Said boy blushed at the nickname I gave him. "How do you know about all of this if you never lived here before?"

"I followed you guys on like everything. Sorry if I sound creepy." I giggle.

You might be wondering what we were supposed to be doing in this class. Spence and I (and what's-her-face) came in on the days where they were doing a project. They only had two more in class work days, so that meant the three of us could talk. And the other one looks like she's talking Lens' ear off. Good. For. Him. He deserved it.

Especially agreeing to be friends with our arch-enemies! That was the worst move right there. I don't care that they didn't play; neither did I. But I didn't become bffs with the enemy.

Considering I had/ have a bad feeling about these two, I warmed up to him pretty quickly. But honestly, he seems really cool and really into music. He wants to try out for the Newmans and I'll let him. I guess he plays a few instruments. Spence is going to come to my house after school today to tryout.

While we were waiting for the bell to ring, we looked at each other's schedules. My new friend and I had almost all classes together except for gym with was now, in high school, not co-ed, which in my opinion, they should have done in the beginning of middle school.

We had gym at the same time, just not with each other. Finally the bell rang and we went to our lockers which weren't too far apart. We then met up on our way to Study Hall in the cafeteria.

Finding a booth, we sit near the window, where I freeze half to death. But it wasn't that bad. We talked more.

"What kind of instruments do you play, Spence?"

"I can play guitar, bass, drums, trombone, and I can sing."

"Not bad. I can sing, play guitar, bass, violin, and clarinet. I'm a quintuple threat, if that's a thing."

We laugh. "So what are you going to play for your audition today?" I inquire.

"Not sure yet. We'll see."

"You're so much like how I used to be. I used to be carefree and wing it half the time before we go and preform. And I would never have a song ready, half the time, so we would be stuck doing covers the whole time. It was still fun though." I sighed thinking about when I was younger. It seems weird to think back that far and see how different I've become.

"So Care, what happened to you? You keep saying that you're different from last time you were here. You don't seem that different to me." Spencer said.

"Well, you're the only one I've told here about this, OK? You promise not to tell anyone else?" He nods. "At my old school I was bullied. I made a friend and she moved away. So then I was stuck with her friends that didn't like me exactly, and blamed me for her leaving. They would tell me I'm fat. I'm not pretty. My hair looks weird. And eventually I did start believing them. I had no self-esteem anymore, I wasn't my confident self anymore. My sister, B, had just graduated from school and she was already working and going to college, so I couldn't go to her. And my dad wasn't a reliable person back then. So I suffered, mentally, physically, and emotionally.

I would make myself throw up when I got home from school. I was so skinny, I looked like a skeleton half the time. I had no friends there and I went threw a drastic wardrobe change. I don't think anyone really noticed that my hair never grew; I pinned it up. In reality my hair reaches my butt almost, but I have it up all the time. Then it got worse every day, until I started to cut myself." I shoved up my left sleeve and showed him the lines. There weren't many, but that didn't matter. The entire time, I was talking, he didn't say a word. I didn't mind. It just showed that he really was listening.

It showed that he really cared. The bell rang once more and we went to our next class, Science She handed out a packet of notes and started. Spence and I whispered back and forth, but I don't think she even noticed.

Science went by fast and then I had English, my second class with Lens. My only class with the girls.

They greeted me and I asked. "Is it true that you guys haven't done a gig?"

They nodded in shock, like I wasn't supposed to know. And then they saw Spencer standing awkwardly behind me outside the classroom with us.

"Who's that?" they asked, at the same time which freaked me out.

"This," I motion behind me, and Spence blushes since he's still a bit shy around girls (what guy isn't at some point), "Is Spencer McHale. Also a huge fan of the Newmans."

"Really? He's so... so," Kim started. "Cute." Konnie finished. I don't think Spencer's face could get redder.

I put my hand on the taller boy's shoulder and looked up at him. "I've noticed."

He practically fainted right there. We laughed.

"My new friend here told me about the no gigs and other things involving Grojband." I said.

"Oh my gosh! We're so sorry! We told Lenny not to let them become our friends." Kim apologized.

"We knew it would upset you. Sorry!" Konnie finished.

I hugged both of them and said," Don't worry, I'm not mad at you. Lenny and I are going to have a little chat today."

As we walked in, Spence and I asked the teacher where we sat. He placed us next to each other in the back. The entire class I stared at the back of Len's head. Why would he let them become friends? He knew I despised them to the very ends of the earth ever since we were little.

Weirdly I know how hate feels, but I don't know what it is to fall in love.

I felt a shaking on my shoulder; it was Spencer. "Care, you've been staring at him for at least 20 minutes straight and I don't think you've blinked once. Why don't you go talk to him now?"

"But it's the middle of class, Spence."

"No Care, it's almost the end." He points at the clock where I can clear see that it is indeed almost the end.

"Fine. I'll be right back." I got up and walked over to Lens' desk.

"Hi, Care. How's your little buddy? I can't stand mine." Lenny says as I stand there.

"Oh, Spence? He's fine. I need to talk with you later. Got any free time during school? The sooner I tell ya, the more time I don't." I put emphasis on his name. I could tell how much Lenny didn't like him; I wasn't stupid. Sure I gave him some attitude, but he deserves it.

"Uh, we have band practice. Grojband and us have practice. The school allowed us to have in school practice since Trina kept messing up Grojband." he explained.

"But you haven't had a gig since I left." I was becoming a bit agitated. Then I realized, he wasn't supposed to know that I knew about that.

"How do you know about that?!" he quietly yelled.

I walk back to my seat, ignoring my ex-friend. The bell rings and I walk past Lens. "C'mon Spence. Let's go." I grab the said boy's hand, who promptly blushes, and guide him out into the hallway; past my old best friend.

That's when it occurred to me. I was trying to make Lenny jealous. Why?

I thought about that the whole time I was in math and technology. Next was lunch and there was bad blood in between Lens and me. So I took Spencer to a table where Kim and Konnie were sitting. The other two seats were soon taken by Kin and Kon.

I saw a sight that I never thought I would see. Lenny was sitting with Riffin and the other redhead. And I see what's-her-face trying to sit there. But to make it worse, they were laughing.

I tried to hide my sadness that he was sitting with that, but the people that the table clearly saw it and tried to comfort me.

It turns out Kin and Kon actually aren't that bad, and are pretty funny. I think Kim and Kin have crushes on each other.

The bell ring for the start of seventh period, when I realize its a class with him. And Spencer.

Thankfully class came and went, but then it was dreaded eighth period; band practice.

Spencer asked if he could come.

"Well since you have Study Hall now, the secretary in the office should be able to change your schedule so you're with us."

We walked into the school office and she gladly changed his schedule. Now we just had to go to the room.

The room felt like it was halfway across the school. I stood in front of the door and could hear laughing; his laughing.

My hand shook as I reached for the door knob. We are going to have our talk. This is it.

I turn the door knob and open the door.

THE NEWMANS WILL NOW BE UPDATED EVERY OTHER WEEK NOW. IT IS DUE TO ME HAVING ANOTHER STORY THAT I NEED TO CATCH UP ON.

So what do you think of Spence and what's her face Riley? She's a bit clingy...

Well you see the new schedule and maybe it can be more frequent. See ya later alligators! Love you guys! ~A
