(AN) Hey guys! I'm back! I'm sorry for the slow update but you guys know what you're getting into when it comes to my stories. I was writing chapters of Total Drama All-Stars: Remake. Check it out and tell me what you think of it. Also, I played The Last of Us and Journey, which both are AWESOME with their story! Next, this chapter is NOT including the end of the episode. The challenge is very long, so I decided to split it into two chapters. I've also seen a great movie called The Lego Movie. I'm so glad I decided to go. I hope you'll enjoy this chapter!
(Disclaimers) I do not own Total Drama Series or Pokémon. Also, the alphabet theme is NOT my idea. It's originally created by Frank15, so give him credit for that. Also, I do not own Mass Effect or any of their characters in this chapter.

"Welcome back, everyone!" Mesprit declared. "If you viewers don't know what just happened, the contestants had been taught by Commander Shepard to help them get ready for the Mass Effect challenge!"
"Um, speaking of challenge, can we start doing it now?" Tangrowth asked.
"Sure," Uxie shrugged. "Let the challenge begin!"
At that moment, a loud computerized alarm echoes throughout the area.
"Wave one!"
The Unique Uxie and Garrus suddenly hear something like something has teleported. They turn right to see five humanoid robots, who are each carrying an assault rifle, walking toward the doorway until they've noticed the team. They quickly aimed their rifles and start firing.
The Unique Uxie and Garrus dodged the enemies' line of fire as Purugly jumped to the nearest wall, aimed her Assault Rifles and fired back at the Geths.
"Guys, take cover and start firing!" Purugly shouted.
Her teammates obeyed and get into action as well. The Soldiers and Ninjask, who already took a hit before taking cover, crouched beside the doorway and fired their guns. Garrus' excellent sniper skills have already taken down a bullet to the Geth's head.
"Hey, how do I use the Adept?" Qwilfish asked, wanting to help her teammates.
"Use your mind and concentrate on moving the Geth!" Chandelure explained, lifting a Geth Trooper to collide with another, knocking them to the ground. Several bullets from Tangrowth, Garrus and Purugly had been fired and both fallen Geths had been destroyed.
"Got it," Qwilfish nodded. She takes a deep breath and closes her eyes. Her mind is searching, straining for the biotic light. She had performed similar moves before due to the lack of limbs. But this isn't a movement, it's a biotic; far different from her normal standard. A blue light appears in her mind. It has to be! She concentrates on that blue light and opens her eyes blue. She lifts a Geth Trooper in the air and lets it frantically fall back down to the ground. Its hits the ground with a loud slam and Purugly put a bullet into the injured Geth's head. "Yes, I got one!" Qwilfish smiled.
"My turn!" Vanilluxe smiled, taking a hit before using his mind to slam a Geth Trooper into the wall at the back. Vanilluxe apologised before the Geth exploded and disappeared, thanks to Garrus' finish.
Four more Geths teleported from a different doorway behind the team.
"Guys, behind you!" Zebstrika shouted, noticing the Geths.
Purugly surprisingly quickly moved over to a large arched window, preparing herself and then appearing by the window and fired at the four Geth Troopers, who then fired back.
"I have an idea!" Garrus said to Tangrowth and Ninjask. "Follow me!" Garrus with Tangrowth and Ninjask following him, ran past Purugly and dodged the bullets by the Geths, although Ninjask has been hit thrice due to his bad luck. They then entered the Cargo Transfer next door, turned right to the nearest doorway and leaned back against it. The men look into the open; seeing three Geths as the first Geth was already being killed by Purugly.
They lean back and exchange looks.
"On my mark!" Garrus whispered, preparing his assault rifle.
Ninjask and Tangrowth nodded.
Garrus quickly motioned a three seconds countdown with his fingers and then stepped out into the open, firing at the Geths. Ninjask and Tangrowth did the same. One Geth has already fallen as they've noticed the men. Ninjask get hits twice but managed to gun down a Geth after firing three shots. The last Geth was trying to fight off both sides of the enemies but it isn't enough. Its head has blown off and his body fell to the ground.
Purugly smirked as the smoke is appearing from her assault rifle.
"I can see more over there!" Vanilluxe pointed to the six new Geth Troopers appearing under the metal bridge. The enemies are now firing at both groups, who have avoided their line of fire, except for Ninjask, of course, as he got hit once in the head.
"I'll go outside to take them out with telekinesis!" Chandelure shouted due to the gunshot's loudness.
Vanilluxe floated forward. "I'll help you unless of course if any of you needed my help!" He said to the others.
"I'll keep an eye on them!" Zebstrika said.
Espeon, Qwilfish and Purugly, who is still gluing to the Geth Troopers ahead of her, glared at the sexist zebra.
"What?" Zebstrika asked, annoyed.
"Thanks, Zebstrika!" Vanilluxe smiled. He and Chandelure flew out of the room and moved up in the air.
The five remaining Geth Troopers, one Geth already being killed by Garrus' excellent sniper skills, noticed the floating chandelier and ice-creams, and two of them started firing at above. The others continue on toward the bunker.
Vanilluxe got hit twice before Chandelure lifted one Geth in the air and threw it toward the three Geth Troopers. The three Geth stopped firing at both groups ahead of them and looked behind, realizing it's too late to move out of the way. The flying Geth slammed all three of them to the ground, dropping their weapon and being in a very vulnerable state.
"Everyone, fire!" Garrus commanded.
He, Tangrowth and Ninjask stepped out of the Cargo Transfer and released bullets into the three vulnerable Geth Troopers. One by one, they were all killed and then a loud computerized alarm echoes throughout the area again.
"Wave one's over!"
"What's a fantastic job, everyone! You all did brilliantly well!" Vanilluxe complimented as the whole team came back together outside the bunker, just as when the intercom static is being heard.
"Well done, everyone, for surviving the first wave with all of you intact." Uxie complimented from the intercom. "However, each wave will get harder as the challenge continues. Every time the wave has ended, you'll get a five minute break. This will give you enough time to strategize your next move. That is all." The intercom has ended.
"Alright, we can't stay in the bunker. We're staying out here so we can have more room and not have the enemies surrounding us to pick us off." Purugly explained. "Ninjask, Chandelure and Vanilluxe, you're gonna be our eyes in the sky. You're gonna pick off the enemies from above but don't stay in one place too long."
"Got it!" Ninjask nodded.
Purugly turns to Tangrowth, Qwilfish, Espeon, Zebstrika and Garrus. "As for the rest of us, we're going to the control room over there." She pointed to a building ahead of them. "That's where we're going use one of the popular and effective strategies for this map. We're going to have a sniper, that's you, Garrus, atop the ramp outside the control room with another squadmate, which it's me. Zebstrika and Qwilfish, you're gonna be inside the control room to cover Garrus' ass and my ass."
Zebstrika is reluctant, as is Qwilfish. Their conflict has started when Zebstrika had made a sexist comment about Qwilfish, which caused her to jab her spikes into Zebstrika's crotch. But learning from their experience from sports and police respectively taught them to understand that they have to work together with someone that they may not considerably tolerate.
"Fine." Qwilfish and Zebstrika muttered.
"Good." Purugly smirked in satisfaction, before facing Tangrowth and Espeon. "As for you two, by the large ramp beside the control room, there's a tunnel for you to enter. When you get inside, keep walking until you see a ladder that directly goes down a level. But I want you guys to stay in that tunnel, so you'd get a good view of the Terminal and kill off any enemies."
Tangrowth nodded while Espeon clearly isn't pleased with her position.
"Also, if the Geth does get inside the control room, Zebstrika and Qwilfish can signal us. Plus, I want at least one Engineer to make it to wave three. Is everybody clear?"
Her teammates nodded in agreement.
"Good," Purugly nodded. "Now let's get into position!"
Chandelure, Ninjask and Vanilluxe move upward in the air, while the rest race to the control room. Garrus and Purugly are in the back of the group, and Purugly used this moment to do what she'd always wanted to do...
...flirting with Garrus.
"Hey, Garrus, when we're eliminating the Geth, it'll be just you and me… alone." Purugly whispered at the last word, seductively.
This has made Garrus gulp.
Confessional: Did someone have a celebrity crush?
Purugly: (Smirk) Ever since I've first laid my eyes on sexy Garrus, I feel like I could turn into liquid cum whenever I'd see him from playing Mass Effect. His eye visor, his scars, his body, the way he carried weapons… (Moans pleasurably) It's so hot! Now that I'm with Garrus during today's challenge, I'm going to milk up all of the opportunity to flirt with him and maybe… just maybe sneak a kiss from him. (Giggling a bit before calming down) Also, I put Zebstrika and Qwilfish together on purpose because if they fight it out and we lost today's challenge, one of them will be voted off, mostly Zebstrika of course. That's the same case with Espeon and Tangrowth, since Espeon now hates Tangrowth due to his sexuality. Face it, no matter what happens today; I'm here for another day.
Espeon: She knew! She knew that I wouldn't be comfortable being alone with Tangrowth! I cannot tolerate anyone who has developed romantic feelings for the same gender! It's not what Arceus had created; it's the work of the devil! The best advice Arceus can give me now is to be silent and hope to be away from Tangrowth when the opportunity has risen.
"So, Liara, what was it like during the battle in London?" Whimsicott asked.
During wave one; Mysterious Mesprit and Liara were battling against fifteen Assault Troopers. They weren't easy to be defeated due to their M-25 Hornet submachine guns, as well as electrified batons for melee attacks. They can throw powerful (but slow to detonate) Frag Grenades to kill enemies or flush them out of cover. Few members like Octillery and Sableye, were nearly pulled out of the challenge. But like Unique Uxie, the team survived the first wave with all of their members. Liara, Yanmega and Infernape's experience with military has definitely benefited them here.
When the first wave was over, Infernape suggested that everyone should be inside to cut off the enemies' chance to pick them off from above. Next, he'd given his order to his team to split up three ways so they can cover more ground and split up the enemies, making it easier to pick them off. Whimsicott, Octillery, Jolteon and Liara are inside a room with two computer decks and a large metal crate to give them cover. The rest is somewhere in the hallway.
Liara lowered her head, silently before answering Whimsicott's question. "It was the hardest battle I had participated in. Many allies were killed but many enemies too. Every moment during that battle, I thought my life would end. When we were running toward the Conduit, Garrus and I were split up from Shepard by the Harbinger and we didn't see him again until later on. I know this whole thing is a game but… it's certainly doesn't feel like it to me." Liara sighed.
Whimsicott looks a little guilty now. "Geez, I'm sorry I asked. I didn't know it's that personal to you."
Liara assured. "No, it's fine. You were just asking a question out of curiosity. But heed my advice; sometime, curiosity can lead you to dark and horrible places." She warned.
Whimsicott nodded. "Yeah, but I like being curious. It keeps me wondering what is really going on in this world... the real world, I mean."
"Wave two!"
"Everybody, get ready!" Liara whispered, pointing her pistol around the room in preparation for enemies.
"Yeah, you guys get ready!" Octillery nodded, resting against her tentacles against the wall.
"That means you too, Octillery." Jolteon said, narrowing his eyes.
"Oh, c'mon!" Octillery whined. "I already did my work at the last wave! Let me chillax for a bit!"
"Don't you want to go back to the Winner Cabin?" Whimsicott asked.
"I do, but I don't wanna do too much work!"
"I can see the Centurions!" Liara whispered, seeing two Centurions enter the room. Their armor resembled that of the Assault Troopers. But the former is larger and instead of submachine guns, they're holding assault rifles.
All four of them held their breath as the Centurions search around the room. One Centurion walks over to a computer deck where the three Mysterious Mesprit and Liara are.
Liara stepped out from the behind the computer, her hands glowed blue and her telekinesis sent Centurion flying directly to the wall with a large slam.
"Guys, get outside!" Liara called out to her squadmates.
The three contestants nodded and headed outside as both Centurions start firing at them with their M-96 Mattock assault rifles. Jolteon quickly runs out of the room with Whimsicott closely behind, firing at a Centurion with her pistol.
However, due to her lack of speed, Octillery is slowly squirming out of the room. A Centurion quickly brought its electrified baton and swings it at Octillery's face with an effective hit.
"Hey, stop hitting me!" Octillery whined, attempting to retaliate but Centurion swings its electrified baton at her again and again.
Liara runs away from the first Centurion and fired a bullet to the attacking Centurion's head, making it stop attacking Octillery.
"Octillery, let's go!" Liara created a force field to protect the running Octillery from the flying bullets from both Centurions. Eventually, both girls made it outside with Jolteon and Whimsicott waiting for them.
"Run for your fuckin' life!" Octillery screamed, squirming away frantically.
Jolteon, Whimsicott and Liara, on the other hand, prepared to fight back against two firing Centurions.
"Hey, where's Yanmega?" Sableye asked.
"He's around the corner!" Furret replied.
Like the other group, Furret and Yanmega were also facing against two Centurions. There were really four at the beginning. But two of them went left to face the other group and the other two went right to Furret and Yanmega. In the hallway, Furret is currently on the stairs halfway, while Sableye is at the top.
"Make sure you're ready to use your glowing telekinesis whatever when Yanmega appears!" Sableye shouted.
"Okay!" Furret nodded when Yanmega suddenly appeared from around the corner. "Did you take them down?"
"I've only took down one of them, there's still another one!" Yanmega replied.
A Centurion appears around the corner and that's the cue for Yanmega and Furret to fire, while Sableye crawled on the wall and helped her teammates gunning down the enemy. Centurion was attempting to protect itself with its shield but it's not enough as it went down.
"Let's go help the other." Yanmega said, before flying up the stairs and turn right to see Infernape and Gothitelle are currently squatting behind the computers decks while eliminating a Centurion. "You're doing okay?"
Infernape confirmed. "We've just took down two of the enemies, although, I have no idea how many more are there."
"Should we help the other group?"
"That might be wise." Infernape stroked his chin, thoughtfully. "You go check on the other group and help them if they're in trouble."
"I'm on it!" Yanmega nodded, before he flies back where he'd come from.
"Guys, more enemies ahead!" Gothitelle pointed to two Centurions teleporting in the hallway.
"Everyone, take cover!" Infernape exclaimed, firing at the Centurions again.
Sableye and Furret join him and Gothitelle behind the computer decks and start firing with their pistols. As they're firing, Furret flinches with gunshots being heard. Gothitelle and Sableye noticed it but didn't say anything.
Confessional: Not so sure if it's a good time to notice their teammates during a gunfight.
Gothitelle: Furret clearly looked uncomfortable when we were firing during the challenge. I don't know why she'd do that. Maybe I could ask her about it after the challenge.
Sableye: I don't know why Furret looked freaked out during the challenge but I will find out about it!
Furret: If you're wondering why I was uncomfortable with gunshots, I'll tell you about it now. See, due to my autism, my brain works differently than anyone. I could react to anything different like music, TV shows, food and etc. I don't like loud noise. It would make me feel like my eardrums could explode like a balloon the louder the noise is. And gunshots are far louder than I've anticipated. I used to freak out a lot easier when I was younger but I've gotten better at reacting to loud noise, maturely. I may not like loud noise, I still listen to music but only when I'm using my earphones. I may have to explain this to my teammates if they're wondering about my near freak out with loud noise, although, I don't know if they can understand it.
Jolteon telekinesis sent one Centurion flying against the wall, which is the cue for Yanmega to finish it off with his omni-tool.
"Keep an eye out for anymore enemies!" Yanmega advised, looking around his surroundings.
"Looks like the enemies are gonna be harder and harder to beat in every wave." Whimsicott mused.
"Pretty much when it comes to video games." Jolteon said.
"You played video games?" Whimsicott asked, curiously.
"Not really."
"Guys, I could use some help here!" Octillery shouted, firing at two Centurions, who are crouching behind a large metal crate and the entrance to the building respectively.
"Centurions frequently went to cover if we're using long-range weapons or projectile powers." Liara explained.
"Yeah, I'm aware of that!" Yanmega nodded, referencing to the Centurions he was fighting earlier in the hallway. "But we need to take them down!" He fires at the Centurion by the doorway but was unable to get a hit.
A Centurion behind a large metal crate fires something differently toward the Mysterious Mesprit. Yanmega widened his eyes and pulled Octillery around the corner.
"GRENADE!" Yanmega exclaimed. His teammates quickly move away from the grenade. It explodes near the corner but fortunately, everyone came out unharmed. "Is everyone alright?"
"Yeah, we're good." Whimsicott nodded. "Right now, I think half of us should distract Centurions in the front, while the rest of us take them out from the back."
"That's a good idea." Yanmega nodded, liking the idea. "You and Octillery distract them while me, Jolteon and Liara will pick them off."
Whimsicott and Octillery nodded before moving around the corner to see both Centurions are out of their hiding place.
"Hey, asshole!" Whimsicott grinned, firing bullets in the air to get their attention and moving left and right to make it harder for Centurions to fire ammo at their target. "Yo momma so fat, it'd take three Adepts to lift her!"
"Loser, loser!" Octillery taunted, despite having enemies' ammos hitting her.
The girls run back when they saw both of them each fire a grenade at them. It exploded when it hit the wall.
As both Centurions sneakily walked toward the girls, Yanmega, Jolteon and Liara appeared from the doorway and now sneakily moved behind the Centurions.
"Now!" Liara whispered to Jolteon.
Both of them raised their hands and paws respectively and lifted both Centurions in the air and then slammed them hard to the ground. This gives the three allies a chance to kill them off with their pistols.
"Wave two's over!"
The three allies are pleased to know that wave two is over. Whimsicott and Octillery come out from the corner and move over to them.
"That was a nice strategy, Whimsicott." Liara smiled.
"Thanks!" Whimsicott smiled. "Should we go check the others to see if any of them are okay?"
"Yeah, we should." Yanmega nodded.
Before any of them could get back with the others, the intercom's crackling on with Mesprit's speaking.
"Hey guys. I'm calling you all to remind you that the next wave will feature a mini-challenge. You must have your Engineers disable four devices before the time has run out. If you fail, you'll lose one random member. I wish you all good luck!" The intercom ended.
The five allies then started heading back with their other teammates.
Confessional: Wave two is over? Aw, I wanna ride the double waves!
Whimsicott: When it comes to pranking, some of them required planning. The rest, however, were made up on the fly. I guess you could say I'm already a strategist but I don't wanna be one of those "strategy-bots". I'd like to do it whenever the opportunity presents itself. If there's an opportunity to tie the principal's car to hundreds of balloons and send it flying in the air like in the movie Up, I'll do it. If there's an opportunity to dump a huge pile of baked beans onto the football players or snobby popular girls, I'll do it. And if there's an opportunity to make my brothers think they're late for school by changing all the time on the clocks, watches, phone clocks and TV, I'll do it. You just need to wait for the right moment.
"I've gotta say, Marowak, your idea of staying by the loading bay is not a bad idea!" Ursaring smiled.
During wave one; the Awesome Azelf and Tali were battling against the Husk. It's surprisingly easy to take all fifteen of them down, while all nine members remained in the challenge. During their five minute break, Marowak suggested that everyone should be by the loading bay, so that the enemies would have a harder time attacking them if they're on the lower level, while the Awesome Azelf could easily pick off the enemies. They didn't use this strategy in the second wave since the only enemies that time were Swarmers. They're like bugs and despite there being thirty of them; they were all killed quite quickly. The team is currently still by the loading bay with Azumarill, Ursaring, Marowak and Leavanny crouching next to the rails, while the rest are standing, preparing for more combat against the enemies.
"Thanks," Marowak smiled. "I knew that by staying up here, the enemies on the lower level would have a harder time hitting their targets, though I can't say the same on this level."
"Can-you-tell-us-who-the-next-enemy-is?" Rapidash asked to Tali.
"I don't know the order but I know what kind of Reapers' creatures are there." Tali replied.
"Who?" Druddigon asked, quirking an eyebrow.
"Wave three!"
The team immediately went into combat mode and looked around the area. Suddenly, three Marauders appear in Sector H1 on the lower level. The Marauders are synthetic-organic creatures derived from turians through the use of Reaper technology.
"They're Marauders!" Tali explained, pointing her pistol at the enemies. "Basically, their role is to protect and fortify their allies. We can take them out easily since they're on their own!"
"That's good enough to me!" Marowak nodded. "Xatu, Tali and I will find and disable the devices! You guys cover us, got it?"
"Loud and clear!" Ursaring nodded, before firing at the Marauders below.
Xatu and Klinklang are flying and floating respectively above the area. Tali and Rapidash are moving on the right side of the area. While Marowak and Druddigon are moving down the stairs but not before Druddigon turn around and called Leavanny.
"Leavanny, you're coming with us too!" Druddigon shouted.
"Fine." Leavanny muttered, before getting up and following the men, leaving Ursaring and Azumarill alone.
"You stay close to me, got it?" Ursaring whispered, dangerously.
Azumarill silently nods, and continued firing at the Marauders below.
Druddigon put two bullets into one of the Marauders' heads, killing the last of the first three Marauders. He, Marowak and Leavanny are eyeing around Sector H1 to look for one of the four devices.
"Guys, I think that's one of the devices!" Marowak pointed to a big log-roll shaped machine near the reactor core. He and the other two then run over to the device.
"So how are you going to use the omni-tool for this?" Leavanny asked, staring at the device.
"I don't know, I guess I could just move the omni-tool near the device." Marowak moves his omni-tool near the device and surprisingly, something is happening on both machines. The omni-tool is displaying a small orange screen, while the device is beeping green to orange.
"What's goin' on?" Druddigon said, lowering his brow.
"I think my omni-tool is disabling the device!" Marowak gasped. He's right; the omni-tool is indeed disabling the device. As it's happening Marowak noticed something. There's a timer ticking down. "There's a timer on it. I think that's how long the mini-challenge is going on."
"How much time?" Leavanny asked.
"It's currently four minutes and six seconds left." Marowak's reading the timer. A moment later, the big device set off a loud beep and then it's shut down.
"That's one down, three more to go." Druddigon mused.
"Druddigon, behind you!" Leavanny pointed to two Marauders, who just teleported.
Druddigon and Marowak quickly turn around and fire ammo into the Reaper's head and the enemies disappear immediately.
"Y'know, there's one thing I don't get." Druddigon glances at the assault rifles he's holding. "How the hell didn't our guns run out of ammo yet? I used guns before, so I know these should've run out by now."
The intercom has suddenly come on.
Azelf explained. "That's because most of you have no experience in playing shooter games and/or used a gun. We decided to make it a little easier for you guys by having unlimited ammo. I hope that answers your question, Druddigon." The intercom ended.
Druddigon looked at his gun and then his lips turn into a sinister smirk.
Confessional: That'd be a double edged sword. Or in this case; a double muzzle guns!
Druddigon: (Smirking while leaning against the wall) I wouldn't mind having myself an unlimited supply of ammo. I could use it to hunt down wild Pokémon without ever having to waste any bullets. I prefer to use my crossbow though since it's much quieter. But sometimes, the arrows break and I have to keep buying new ones at the store.
Marowak: I'd love to have it during the zombie outbreak. I wouldn't have to search for any ammo and I can kill off the herd of zombies non-stop without emptying the ammo! But then again, if any antagonist person gets their hands on it, that would end very badly for the other.
Leavanny: (Disbelief) "Unlimited supply of ammo"? If anyone gets their hand on that, it'll increase crimes and wars! Guns are one of the reasons why young hooligans nowadays are running amok in the streets and cause nothing but trouble! I wouldn't be surprised if Whimsicott gets involved with guns.
Tali and Rapidash has quickly discovered the device by the Overlook. Tali is currently using her omni-tool to disable the device, while Rapidash is standing guard and on a lookout for any hostiles.
"Are-you-nearly-done?" Rapidash asked.
"I'm almost finished deactivating the device." Tali replied, patiently waiting for the device to shut down. "I have a question to ask; why do you speak so fast?"
"I-don't-know. It's-something-I'd-got-ever-since-I'd-evolved-into-Rapidash. Even-the-doctors-don't-understand-this-condition." Rapidash sighed. "But-hopefully-one-day-I'll-be-able-to-talk-normal-again."
"I have a friend who talks almost as fast as you. His name is Mordin. He's a salarian geneticist and a professor. He's friendly and smart." Tali explained. "I could ask him to check your quick-talking but we're game characters. So unfortunately, we can't help you."
"Oh…" Rapidash said. Her small hope evaporates when she'd learnt that Mordin couldn't help her. "I-really-wish-I-could-understand-about-why-I'm-doing-everything-so-fast."
"There, I've done it!" Tali exclaimed as the device shut down. "We've only got-" She stopped when she'd noticed something behind Rapidash. "Rapidash, get down!"
Rapidash obeyed Tali's order and Tali fired three bullets to a Marauder's head.
"Sorry." Rapidash apologised. "I've-lost-my-concentration-for-a-moment-there."
"It's okay. Now let's hope the others had finished deactivating the other devices." Tali said.
She and Rapidash went off again to search for the other devices.
Confessional: A treatment to everything, including cancer, would be amazing!
Rapidash: If-there's-any-doctor-that-can-cure-my-condition-please-let-me-know!"
Xatu and Klinklang are moving above the area and Xatu's heading toward Sector C1 like she knows exactly where to go. Eventually, she found one of the devices next to a large machine. She landed beside it and starts disabling it with her omni-tool. Klinklang floated down beside her and scanned the device.
"BZZT, WHERE AND WHEN DID YOU DEVELOP YOUR PSYCHIC POWER, BZZT." Klinklang asked.
"I have them ever since I was born. I was able to use Psychic movements like any Psychic Pokémon. But when I was five, my mother said that I'd developed something more than that. They're from my great-grandmother. I sometimes see her in my dreams. I know you'd already know about my abilities last night by the fireplace." Xatu explained.
The moment she'd finished explaining, the device has shut down.
"BZZT, IT'D TAKE TWENTY SECONDS TO COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN THE DEVICE, BZZT." Klinklang said, finished scanning the device.
"Yes, I am aware of that, Klinklang." Xatu said, before sensing something else. "And I'm also aware that our next hostiles are behind us on the upper level."
Klinklang immediately turns around and looked up to see there are two Marauders on the upper level, ready to fire at the two contestants. The robot uses his telekinesis Adept to lift up one Marauder and slammed it down onto the other Marauder. The psychic bird stared at Klinklang with no emotion as the control robot floated up to the upper level and spent no time ripping both Marauders in half like tearing up a phone book.
Klinklang looks around the upper level and discovered another device at the end of the area to his right. Xatu joined him as both flew to the device and Xatu begins to work on shutting it down. Druddigon, Leavanny and Marowak arrive almost immediately.
"Hey, we've managed to shut down one device." Marowak confirmed.
"I'd already shut down one device from the lower level. I'm currently deactivating the second." Xatu explained.
"That's good." Marowak nodded.
Gunshots are being heard. The group except for Xatu quickly turned to face the noise and see that Tali was just finishing off a Marauder. The pair saw the others and run over to them.
"Hey-Tali-managed-to-shut-down-one-device. Did-you-guys-find-the-others?" Rapidash asked.
"Two were already shut down." Leavanny confirmed.
"And I've just finished the fourth." Xatu concluded as the last device is shut down.
"I guess that means it's the end of wave three then." Druddigon said.
"No, we would've heard the announcement for it." Leavanny stated.
Marowak moves his eyes to the right and then raised his assault gun. "I know why."
He fires ammo into one Marauder's head. Druddigon and Tali immediately do the same with the other two.
"Wave three's over!"
"Those Marauders are way too easy to kill." Druddigon scoffed. "I wish there's more challenging enemies to face."
"I wouldn't say anything like that if I was you," Xatu warned. "Fate can be the cruelty of life."
"And as I'd said before; the Marauders' only role are to protect and fortify their allies." Tali reminded. "That's when we should be worried."
Druddigon rolled his eyes. "I doubt we'll be seeing them again in this challenge." He then headed back to the loading bay with the others following him.
Confessional: Always predict the unpredictable!
Xatu: Druddigon shouldn't be tempting fate.
"Jolteon, I know you're hiding something. Answer the question!" Sableye's pestering the clearly annoyed Jolteon.
During wave three, the team was fighting against the twelve Combat Engineers. The enemy is slightly easier to kill than the previous enemies for a few reasons. They are specialized support units that assist primary forces while staying out of the line of fire. They wear lighter armor than the typical Cerberus combatant, using a modified mesh that allows greater mobility. Also, they were carrying turrets, which is deadly enough to almost pull Octillery out of the challenge. But Infernape destroyed it and his teammates killed off the rest. During all that; the team managed to complete the mini-challenge with about three minutes left thanks to Yanmega, for disabling it; and Gothitelle, for killing off the enemies while Yanmega was disabling the devices.
Right now; Sableye, Jolteon, Infernape are inside the hallway by the doorway on the upper level, while Liara and Octillery are downstairs to watch out for any hostiles from the lower level. Everyone else is on the lower level.
"Sableye, everyone has secrets they don't want to be exposed," Jolteon scowled. "I just don't want mine to be revealed."
Sableye moves her face closer to Jolteon. "But why, Jolteon? Why you don't want your secrets to be exposed to the public?" Sableye questioned, narrowing her gem eyes more. "Are you afraid that once your secrets were exposed, nobody-"
"Sableye, shut your fucking mouth!" Infernape angrily whispered. "We've got a challenge going on and the enemies will be here at any minute! So stop bothering him!"
"You can shut me up for all you want, but I will never rest until every single secret has been exposed." Sableye declared, glaring at Infernape.
Infernape's firing eyes move from Sableye to the outside area.
Confessional: You can't expose secrets! They'll be naked!
Infernape: I just wanna put a bullet into the little snitch's brain and she'd be out of our ass for the rest of the challenge. (He took a hit of his cigar before releasing the smoke) But… it's important that all of us stick together no matter what. If I can deal with the Loyal team, I can certainly deal with Sableye.
"Wave four!"
The three members poke their head outside to search for any hostiles. Gunfire has suddenly erupted from inside. They snapped their head toward downstairs to see Liara and Octillery are fighting against something from the lower level.
Infernape turns to Sableye and jabbed her in the chest. "You stay here and give us a heads up on whoever is coming toward you!" Infernape ordered. "Got it?!"
"Yes, sir!" Sableye nodded.
Both men bolted down the stairs to accompany Liara and Octillery. They look to see what the women are fighting against and they're surprised to see some similar faces.
There are two Assault Troopers and a Centurion at the bottom of the stairs, firing at the team.
"Both Assault Troopers and Centurion?" Jolteon said, confused. "I thought we'd already taken them on?"
"This wave contains enemies from the previous waves!" Liara explained, firing at Centurion. "There'll be two very similar waves to this!"
Infernape nodded at the information and then points his assault rifle at the enemies. "Enough chatter and kill them off!" He begins firing at the Centurion. He moves back to avoid being hit. Everyone else does the same. Jolteon and Liara use their Adept telekinesis to lift the Assault Troopers and start tearing them into half, like ripping a phone book. The flailing Assault Troopers attempt to fire at them but Infernape shoots their arms and it has fallen to the stairs. The Adepts finally ripped the troopers in half and they've disappeared.
The Centurion shot a grenade at Octillery, and the grenade exploded on the impact and sends her flying back across the room, hitting and flipping over the computer deck and landing on the floor. Liara used telekinesis on the Centurion slamming it against the ceiling and floor, while Infernape's releasing his line of ammo at the enemy. Jolteon runs over to Octillery, who is lying on the floor face first.
"Octillery, are you okay?" Jolteon asked.
Octillery drawled. "I'm as goody as a daisy," She attempted to move but realized that she can only move her tentacle tips. "And why can't I move?!"
"I don't know!" Jolteon turns to Liara and Infernape, who just killed off the Centurion. "Guys, Octillery isn't moving!"
Both run over to Octillery and Jolteon and then Liara looks at Octillery's frozen body.
"She was hit by a grenade." Liara explained to Jolteon. "If you get injuries long enough but not enough to be killed, you'll be numb temporary."
"For how long?" Jolteon asked.
"It's depending on how much injury you'd suffer. It could be as short as a minute or as long as ten minutes." Liara replied.
Infernape stated, staring at Octillery's frozen body. "Judging from the injuries, it's looks like she can't move for about ten minutes." He looks at Liara. "Liara, I want you to-" He's interrupted by Sableye's shouting from upstairs.
"Infernape, there's more bad guys coming!" She looks outside again and screams. She leapt down the stairs as the line of bullets is flying through the doorway. After telling Liara to keep an eye on Octillery, Infernape followed by Jolteon joined Sableye by the top of the stairs. They're crawling up the stairs slowly until they're at the top and discovered the enemies outside. There's a Combat Engineer operating the Turret. The person looks very similar to Centurions and Assault Troopers but with minor difference. There's also an Assault Trooper and a Centurion moving and aiming toward the team, who quickly moved down to avoid the bullets.
"Fuck!" Infernape muttered.
Meanwhile, the other group is battling against one Assault Trooper, one Centurion and one Combat Engineer outside by the corner of the building. Furret and Gothitelle managed to kill off one Assault Trooper earlier.
Yanmega flies over the enemies, avoiding the flying bullets and fires his ammo into the Turret, destroying it. Gothitelle and Whimsicott then kill off the Combat Engineer together. However, it'd give Centurion a chance to fire at both of them. Its attempt has gone bad when Furret lifted it in the air with her telekinesis, giving Gothitelle and Whimsicott the chance to kill it. Yanmega finishes off the Assault Trooper by ramming it down to the floor and then struck the omni-tool blade in the head.
"Staying inside the building may not be such a good idea after all." Whimsicott mused.
"We'll talk about using a different strategy after completing this wave." Yanmega assured. "I'll scout out the area to look for any hostiles." He flew up in the air and scouted around the area, leaving the girls alone.
"Erm, if we're voting off someone tonight, can we vote out Sableye?" Furret asked.
"Absolutely," Gothitelle nodded. "She kept invading everyone's privacy and the longer she stays here, more secrets will be exposed."
"That's good to know. I'm just asking." Furret nodded.
Yanmega suddenly returned to the ladies. "There are two Combat Engineers and a Centurion heading our way, since they've noticed me and know where we are."
"Thanks, Yanmega." Gothitelle nodded.
The team looked around the corner. The enemies are indeed heading their way. Both Combat Engineers are preparing their Turret, while the Centurion starts firing. The allies move back as the bullets hit the building's wall.
"I'll hit them from the top. You guys take them out here." Yanmega said.
"Got it!" Whimsicott nodded.
Yanmega flies up in the air again and starts firing at the enemies. Both Turrets are targeting to the dragonfly. He's attempting to avoid the ammo but few of them hit him. He got his revenge by taking out one Turret, which exploded and sent the Combat Engineer, who was operating it, flying back. The dragonfly then finishes off the Combat Engineer.
As a different Combat Engineer's focusing on eliminating Yanmega, the Centurion is slowly walking toward the building's corner where the girls are lining up against the wall.
Gothitelle looks at Furret. "Are you ready to do this, Furret?" Gothitelle whispered.
Furret nodded.
"Now!" Gothitelle shouted. Furret comes out from hiding and lifts the Centurion in the air and then slams it to the floor. Gothitelle and Whimsicott rapidly fired ammo into the Centurion before it gets a chance to stand up. At the same time; Yanmega finished off both Combat Engineer and Turret.
"Good job, Furret!" Whimsicott smiled, high-fiving Furret.
"Thanks, but I'm still hearing gunfire." Furret stated.
"Yeah, I saw a Combat Engineer and a Centurion over there." Yanmega pointed to the entrance on the upper level. "The others must still be inside, but so could the hostiles."
"You and Gothitelle should ambush them from that ladder," Pointing to the ladder ahead of them. "Furret and I can ambush them the other way 'round." Whimsicott suggested.
"Right." Gothitelle nodded, liking the idea.
Whimsicott and Furret turned right to get on a long ladder which took them straight to the landing pad. Gothitelle and Yanmega move up slowly beside a different ladder until their heads are barely over the top of the ladder. There's a Combat Engineer with Turret, while there's a Centurion firing at the team from the doorway.
Both of them exchange nods before moving up and fired at the enemies, who were surprised by their presence. The Turret immediately exploded by the pair, while the Centurion is firing at Gothitelle. Yanmega swooped down and struck his omni-tool blade directly to the head and sent it down to the floor. Gothitelle then sent her bullets into the enemy. Yanmega turns to see Combat Engineer is pointing its pistol.
Several bangs are heard and the Combat Engineer fell to the floor and disappeared. Yanmega and Gothitelle looked by the doorway to see Infernape pointing down his Assault Rifle. He walks out to them with Sableye and Jolteon behind.
"Thanks for the help." Infernape smirked.
"Furret: Game Over!"
The celebration was cut short when they can still hear that announcement. They looked in the direction of the noise and discovered that Whimsicott is moving backward while firing against one Centurion and a Combat Engineer with its Turret.
Infernape cursed and then the team headed straight for the battle to help their struggling teammate. Yanmega flew in first and gunned down the Turret. Infernape and Gothitelle's gunning down the enemies with everyone's helping as well. Eventually, both enemies are gone.
"Wave four's over!"
"Are you okay, Whimsicott?" Gothitelle asked, concerned.
"What happened to Furret?" Sableye walks over to the prankster.
"Furret and I were gonna go help Gothitelle and Yanmega to ambush the baddie over there," Whimsicott pointed to the doorway on the upper level. "When those guys ambushed us! Furret slammed Centurion to the Turret and then Centurion shoots a grenade and hit her on the impact. Plus, with Turret was firing at her as well, it's enough to be taken out." She notices a person or two are missing. "Hey, where are Octillery and Liara?"
"They're still inside the building." Sableye explained. "Octillery was being hit by a grenade as well, so Liara is looking after her."
Yanmega looks at Infernape. "Infernape, we've gotta talk about using a new strategy. Furret is out of the challenge and Whimsicott and Octillery almost had suffered the same fate. I don't think your idea of staying inside the building is gonna work anymore."
"Yeah, I know." Infernape muttered. He knows Yanmega is right. His strategy isn't going well now and he knows that each wave is going to get harder. But what can he do to secure his team to be safe from losing anymore for the rest of this challenge? Wait… there's a strategy he just remembered. But it's very risky and it's definitely suicide if this is the real world.
"Are you thinking about something?" Sableye asked, noticing Infernape in thought.
"Yeah, I may have an idea. But it's crazy and it's suicide if we're in the real world."
"Just tell us what we need to do." Jolteon said.
Infernape glances at his teammates. "Okay, there's this strategy few of my former teammates had come up with during my days in the military. It's called 'Annihilation'." He shows a devilish smirk.
Confessional: Annihilation?! Does that means they're going to cause the end of the world?!
Yanmega: That's definitely a risky move but if it works, then we have a real shot of winning today's challenge.
"I have a question. If staying up here by the loading bay has failed, what's our next strategy?" Leavanny asked.
During wave four; the Awesome Azelf were fighting against five Husks, twenty Swarmers and five Marauders. The Swarmers were easy to kill like last time. But the Husks were harder thanks to Marauders fortifying them. They've managed to kill off the Marauders before killing off the improved Husks. Currently; the team is still together by the loading bay with all of them crouching, ready to jump into action.
"If that happens, then we'll go over to Sector B1." Marowak explained. "We need to stay on the upper level."
"He's right." Ursaring nodded. "So far, his strategy has gotten all nine of us in this challenge. I trust him with his plan."
Marowak nodded, before continuing eyeing the area.
"Hey-Tali." Rapidash said to Tail, who turns to her. "Before-the-challenge-started-Commander- Shepard-said-you're-Garrus'-girlfriend. Is-that-true?"
Tali nodded. "Yes. Garrus and I are currently going out. We were in the same crew together for quite a long time. We were just friends and teammates at first. But when we were headed toward the final battle in London, he and I got connected."
"Aw-that-sounds-so-sweet!" Rapidash awed.
Confessional: Almost as sweet as Unikitty!
Rapidash: When-I'm-not-training-for-Olympics-or-participating-in-a-competition-I'm-a-very-sociable-person. I-am-always-interested-in-getting-to-know-other-people. But-ever-since-I-started-talking-fast-some-of-my-friends-couldn't-understand-everything-I-was-saying-anymore. Then-when-I-tried-to-introduce-myself-to-someone-they-would-see-me-as-some-kind-of-freak! It-sucks-big-time.
"Wave five!"
The team quickly eyes around the area for any hostiles when three medium sized bugs with cannons on top and egg sacs covering most of their bodies teleported on the landing bay - ten feet from the team - and started firing in three-round bursts.
Leavanny, Xatu and Klinklang were being hit, which is the cue for Klinklang to quickly turn around and lifted a Ravager in the air and then slammed it down onto the other two, like bowling pins.
But while the Ravagers were being gunned by the Awesome Azelf, something is coming out of the injured Ravagers' fragile sacs and heading toward the surprised team.
"Swarmers?" Druddigon said, confused. "Is this one of those all enemies wave?"
Tali explained. "No, Ravagers bear egg sacs that continuously spawn Swarmers. If we want to get rid of them, we have to destroy the Ravagers first!"
Klinklang used telekinesis pulling one Ravager toward him and slammed it back to the other two, which it both destroyed. The first Ravager was then killed by Ursaring. Everyone else is killing off the Swarmers. They're taking a couple of hits but managed to kill all of them.
The team noticed something on the floor where the Ravagers were killed.
"What the hell are those?" Ursaring asked, staring at the acids.
"When a Ravager dies it leaves behind a smoking pile of acid goop that causes environmental damage to any of its foes who step in it." Tali explained.
"BZZT, IT'S IMPERATIVE THAT NO NON-LEVITATED SLASH FLYING POKEMON SHALL STEP ON IT, BZZT." Klinklang stated.
"Guys, I can see more!" Ursaring exclaimed, firing at the two Ravagers by the bottom of the stairs. They're also spawning eggs, which hatched the Swarmers.
Marowak, Druddigon, Ursaring and Azumarill are firing at the Ravagers, while the rest are killing the Swarmers.
"Step away, you stupid bugs!" Leavanny stepped backward, firing at the Swarmers with few of them close and firing at her.
"But-Leavanny-aren't-you-a-Bug-type-too?" Rapidash raised a brow as she glowed her eyes blue and lifted the four Swarmers who were attacking Leavanny, who gunned down the hostage Swarmers.
Leavanny shook her head. "Never mind what I just said! Just help me get rid of these bugs!" She continues firing at the Swarmers.
Druddigon and Marowak put down the first Ravager, along with a few Swarmers from the said Ravager. Ursaring and Azumarill did the same with the second Ravager.
Xatu turns right to see two more Ravagers and the small herd of Swarmers are approaching the team from the Overlook. She tapped Tali on the shoulder and pointed at the upcoming enemies. Tali nodded and then both women start firing at them. Klinklang flies over the women and lifted one Ravager, who is firing at him. He quickly slams it down onto the other Ravager, which cracked its egg sacs; releasing more Swarmers. Druddigon and Marowak joined the others and help them taking down both Ravagers and the Swarmers.
"There's more over here!" Leavanny exclaimed, seeing three more Ravagers appear on the loading bay; firing at the team.
Knowing that the Ravagers and Swarmers could surround his team and have a possible chance of eliminating someone, Marowak called out to his team. "We can't let the enemies surround us! We need to move closer to the stairs!"
Druddigon just finished eliminating the second Ravager and then walks backward toward the stairs, while firing at the three Ravagers ahead of him. Xatu and Klinklang floated up in the air, the robot uses his strategy again as he lifts one Ravager and slams it down onto another. Half of the team is gunning down the injured Ravagers, while the other half is killing off the Swarmers. The third Ravager is firing at Ursaring and Azumarill. Ursaring narrowed his eyes, moves his target to Ravager and released his line of ammo. Azumarill followed through but glances sideway at his husband, worrying. The couple brought down the Ravager and the team annihilated the rest of the Swarmers.
"Wave five's over!"
"Nice job, guys!" Marowak smiled to his teammates. "With wave five over, we're halfway through the challenge without losing anyone!"
"BZZT, THIS INCREASES THE CHANCE OF WINNING TODAY'S CHALLENGE TO FORTY-THREE PERCENT, BZZT." Klinklang stated.
"'Forty-three'?" Rapidash gasped. "That-is-a-good-number! I-just-hope-we-can-win-again!"
"There's still five more, Rapidash. The enemies you were fighting are tame compared to the others." Tali warned.
"Who were they?" Leavanny asked.
"I cannot say anything." Tali shook her head. "The hosts said my friends and I are not allowed to tell you about the upcoming enemies before the wave starts."
The intercom has suddenly crackling on.
"Hey guys, it's me again! I just wanna remind you that the next wave will include the second mini-challenge, which you have to hack into the critical data. You can find them on one computer!"
"Sounds-easy-enough." Rapidash smiled.
"Oh, before I forget, since you and the other teams managed to complete the first mini-challenge without a problem, this time; you guys only got two minutes to complete it!" Azelf chuckled.
"You just had to say it, do you?" Leavanny said, annoyed.
"I had warned about tempting fate." Xatu recalled.
"Sorry." Rapidash mumbled.
"Good luck at the next wave, folks!"
The intercom has ended.
"Okay, like in wave three, Xatu, Tali and I will find and hack the computer while you guys cover us." Marowak explained.
"Right." Ursaring nodded, before facing Xatu and Klinklang. "Xatu, Klinklang, you two get in the air now so you can find the computer quicker."
"We shall do that." Xatu nodded, facing Ursaring with a poker face.
Ursaring became uncomfortable as it felt that Xatu is staring right through him.
Confessional: Beware of the eyes!
Ursaring: The way Xatu is staring at me is definitely creepy. But she is useful for the team so far. She stays for now.
Leavanny: I hope I don't have to do this any longer. Those creatures are creeping me out and I'm starting to feel the violence spreading through my body, along with my IQ decreasing.
"Ugh, I don't think I can ever take that taste outta of my mouth." Garrus muttered, grossly. "I know this is Virtual and I can't really feel anything but I know it feels uncomfortable."
Many events had occurred between wave one and six. During the second wave, they thought they'd be battling against the Geth Prime. However, Uxie then explained that Geth Primes has only appeared so they can operate the Geth Turrets. The Geth Primes would not be eliminated until the turret they're operating was destroyed. Despite its low health, the Geth Turrets proved to be a worthy enemy as it was very close of eliminating Ninjask from the challenge twice. But Vanilluxe and Chandelure helped him by knocking both Turrets and the Geth Primes to the floor with their Adept telekinesis and then their teammates killed all ten of them.
In wave three; the team were doing a mini-challenge where they had to disable four devices. Purugly ordered Zebstrika, Ninjask and Espeon, who was pleased to be away from Tangrowth, to get out from their original position to find the devices. The first one was already founded by Espeon in the Terminal. However, as she was disabling the first device, she was being ambushed by a Geth Bomber. She was nearly pulled out of the challenge until Vanilluxe came to the rescue and eliminated the said Geth Bomber by slamming it repeatedly against the wall. Of course, he'd apologised as he'd done it. The second device was founded by a long wall near the bunker. He raced past two Geth Bombers and disabled the device with the Geth Bomber being killed by Garrus' brilliant sniper skills. The third device was also found by Zebstrika inside the bunker. And this time, he had a much easier time to do so due to Chandelure and Ninjask distracting the enemies. The final device was being found by Espeon inside the Cargo Transfer. Vanilluxe was very helpful in distracting a Geth Bomber as Espeon was disabling the device. Eventually, she finished and the mini-challenge was completed. However, it turned out that all enemies had to be eliminated in order to end a wave. The Geth Bombers weren't the easiest enemy to be killed as they sometimes rapidly jerk sideways to avoid incoming attacks. The team had managed to kill all ten Geth Bombers, ending the third wave.
During wave four; it was an all previous enemies wave as five Geth Troopers, five Geth Turrets and five Geth Bombers had made their appearance for the second time. The Unique Uxie and Garrus easily killed off the Geth Troopers first. But then it's gotten a little harder with the Geth Turrets and Geth Bombers. During the battle, Vanilluxe noticed that the bombs were gonna hit Ninjask. So he pushed him out of the way as the bombs hit him; eliminating him from the challenge. Unfortunately, his death was in vain as Ninjask was being eliminated by the Geth Turrets. Everyone else survived and finished off the rest of the enemies. But they're not happy that they'd lost two of their own teammates.
And in the last wave; the team were battling against the Geth Rocket Troopers. Two appeared inside the control room. Qwilfish used her Adept telekinesis to send one Geth flying onto another, landing on the floor. Zebstrika ran over to them to finish them off - it isn't easy because Geth Rocket Troopers have good melee skills. One Geth punched him in the snout and Zebstrika retaliated by using his omni-tool blade to strike it on its shoulder and then head, killing it off. The other Geth were being killed by Tangrowth, who'd entered the room. Outside, Chandelure was nearly killed when a missile swooped past him by a few inches. He retaliated by using telekinesis to lift a Geth and slammed it onto another Geth. Both Geths were then killed by Purugly and Garrus. The fifth and sixth Geth Rocket Troopers were being killed by Purugly and Garrus. Both of them used combat rolls to dodge the missiles, used cover and finished off two Geths. The last four Geths appeared in the Terminal. They fired missiles at the tunnel where Espeon was currently staying. She noticed the missiles and immediately ran away as the missiles and tunnel made contact. The Christian Fundamentalist explained to the others that the Geths are in the Terminal and that the tunnel had exploded from the missiles. Her teammates went outside to fight off the remaining Geth Rocket Troopers. Chandelure and Qwilfish used their Adept telekinesis on one Geth each in the air and then slammed them onto the other two Geths. Then, Purugly, Garrus and Tangrowth killed them off; ending the fifth wave.
In celebration, Purugly pulled Garrus' armor and kissed him on the lips, much to her delight, while it's disgusting for Garrus, despite the fact that the pair couldn't feel anything in the virtual reality.
Right now, Purugly and Garrus are still on top of the ramp next to the control room with Chandelure floating beside the pair. The other two group switched pairs, so Zebstrika is pairing up with Tangrowth outside in the Terminal, while Qwilfish and Espeon are in the control room. They were all being reminded by Uxie that the next mini-challenge is coming up shortly.
"I apologise for Purugly's behaviour." Chandelure apologised, glaring sideways at Purugly, who's sticking out her tongue. "Lust… is the one word we can absolutely describe her."
"Hey, it's definitely worth it." Purugly smirked. "I'd been waiting for that kiss since the moment I'd laid my eyes on him on my TV screen! If you want, Garrus, I could give you another one…" She winked at the discomforted Garrus, who took a step back.
"No! I didn't ask for the first time, so what makes you think I want it the second time?!" Garrus shouted, frantically.
"I don't know, maybe if you let me kiss you again, I'm sure you'll find spark." Purugly flirted, taking a step forward toward Garrus.
"Wave six!"
"Saved by the announcer." Garrus sighed in relief.
"Fuck!" Purugly muttered, clearly disappointed that she didn't get to kiss Garrus again or possibly go any farther.
The trio quickly scanned around the area for any enemies.
"Hmm… where are they?" Chandelure pondered. "I certainly didn't hear any gunfire at the moment."
Espeon stepped outside with Qwilfish's hopping behind her.
"Should I start searching for the device now?" Espeon asked.
"No… not yet." Purugly's eyes focusing at the area. "We haven't seen any enemies out here or heard any gunfire, but why?"
It wasn't until a moment later, Purugly and Garrus widened their eyes in realization. "Shit…"
"What is it?" Chandelure asked, becoming nervous from the pair's reaction.
Espeon suddenly went flying back onto a pile of wrecked rubble. "Ah!"
The other three quickly turned around to see something in the area that is oddly…
...moving. Like someone is invisible.
"Shit, Geth Hunters!" Purugly cursed, before turning her head to Chandelure and Espeon. "You guys go find the device now!"
"Right!" Chandelure nodded. He lifted Espeon down to the lower level. "I'll cover you, go!"
Espeon obeyed Chandelure's order and started searching for the device with Chandelure behind her, while being careful of the possible enemies.
Garrus fires two bullets at the invisible enemy and the said enemy revealed itself, along with another one. They look like Geth Troopers but they're black, more advanced, and instead of holding an assault rifle, they're holding Geth Plasma Shotguns. The Geth Hunters continue firing at the pair on the ramp. Purugly and Garrus crouched down and fired in retaliation. Qwilfish glowed her eyes blue and sent one Geth flying onto another Geth; knocking them down and into vulnerable state. Purugly and Garrus immediately gun them down, killing them.
"Thanks, Qwilfish!" Garrus turns his head to the underwater cop.
"No worries." Qwilfish said, moving her pupils around the area. "I hope the others managed to find that device."
Zebstrika is running through the Terminal with lightning speed, while Tangrowth is struggling to follow him.
"Slow down, Zebstrika, I can't catch up with you that fast!" Tangrowth complained when Zebstrika suddenly ran back toward him.
"It's a dead end and I can't climb a ladder. We'll go that way!" Zebstrika pointed to the ramp next to them. He runs up the said ramp when something sent him flying back near the bottom of the red ramp. "What-" Seeing two Geth Hunters at the top of the ramp; pointing their shotguns at him and Tangrowth. "Oh, shit! Get cover!"
The Geths fire again as two members of Unique Uxie frantically get into hiding behind a large metal crate. They managed to get a hit on the hairdresser, who retaliates by firing back at them.
"I'll go around the bridge to take them out in a different direction! You keep firing at them!" Zebstrika shouted.
He leaves Tangrowth and runs around the bridge while being careful of not running into any Geth Hunters he hasn't seen yet. He stopped at one corner; looked around it to see two Geth Hunters are still there but slowly walked down the ramp. He takes a deep breath and then charged toward the unaware enemies with his horns pointing ahead.
CRA-BAM!
Both Geth Hunters hit the floor, losing grip of their shotguns. Zebstrika wasted no time and struck his omni-tool blade into one Geth's head twice. Something kicked him in the chest and he went flying into the wall. The second Geth is starting to get up, about to reach for its shotgun when its hand blew off. The Geth turned to see to get his head blown out by Tangrowth, who is walking up the ramp.
"Thanks, man." Zebstrika nodded, before heading off to find the device with the hairdresser following him close.
"Run" is the only word she could hear right now. She's running through the exterior to search for the device and then hack it to complete the mini-challenge. Chandelure is floating to her as to cover her from any possible hostiles. Both of them are close to the wall near the bunker when two more Geth Hunters come out of the bunker. Chandelure and Espeon quickly hide against the wall.
"Espeon, I'll distract the Geths, while you-" Chandelure whispered but gets interrupted when bullets are hitting the two Geths, who retaliate by firing back. Chandelure and Espeon turn to see Purugly and Garrus are firing at the Geth. "I think they've got it covered. But I shall distract the Geths if they're firing at us."
"Got it." Espeon nodded.
She runs and turns around the corner, passing the two surprised Geths, turning left. Chandelure floated over the wall to accompany his teammate. One Geth is aiming at the pair. However, it can't as two bullets struck it in the head twice before hitting the ground. It's the same case with the other Geth.
Smoke is coming out from Garrus and Purugly's assault rifle muzzle.
"Told you we'd make a great team." Purugly flirted, crawling closer to Garrus, who's crawling away from the ex porn-star.
Qwilfish asked. "Are you gonna keep flirting with Garrus during the entire challenge?" She then shook her head. "Actually, scrap that, I know you're gonna keep flirting with Garrus during the entire challenge."
"Damn right."
Espeon and Chandelure has entered the bunker and looked around for the device.
"Have you seen the device yet?" Espeon asked, searching through the wrecked pile.
"Unfortunately, I haven't, Espeon." Chandelure said, floating to the top of the bunker to get a search of the whole room.
Espeon sighed as she's continuing searching the room. She walks past the pile and turns left. There is a medium sized computer. "Chandelure, I've found the device!" She runs to the computer and used her omni-tool to start hacking for the critical data.
Chandelure floated down beside her and looked at the computer Espeon's hacking. While he's waiting, he notices something in the computer.
"Espeon… do you notice the clock?"
"Yeah… I do." Espeon trailed, staring at the clock in the computer.
The clock is now ten seconds away from hitting zero.
"Espeon, during the first mini-challenge, how long does it take for your omni-tool to disable the device?" Chandelure asked, wanting to know the answer.
Espeon shook her head. "I don't know, I couldn't remember."
The clock hit zero and the computer screen has gone red with "FAIL!" in the center.
"We're too late!" Espeon exclaimed.
The intercom suddenly crackled on with Uxie's voice. "You have failed the mini-challenge. So your punishment is to lose a member of your team."
Chandelure and Espeon exchanged worries.
Qwilfish, Purugly and Garrus heard what Uxie just said in the intercom.
"I wonder who'll get pulled out of the challenge." Qwilfish pondered.
Out of nowhere, Garrus disappeared with no trace of him left in this challenge.
"Garrus: Game Over!"
"No… NOOOO!" Purugly screamed, touching the floor where Garrus used to be.
"Oh, him." Qwilfish said, before she heard something from the control room.
She turns around to see two Geth Hunters are inside and they're heading toward the ladies.
"Shit! Purugly, I'm gonna need help!" She glowed her eyes blue and use her Adept telekinesis to lift one Geth in the air and drop it back down to the ground. Its legs bended the wrong way and lost its grip on its shotgun. But the other Geth started firing at Qwilfish, which caused her to hop away from the doorway and into the ramp.
Qwilfish turns to Purugly, who is standing up with her teeth snarling like a wild Pokémon.
Purugly screamed as she's running inside the room, moves behind the computers and then fires bullets into the firing Geth. Both are close to killing their enemy. Eventually, one has fallen and the scream has gone into silence.
The Geth fell to the floor with no head and then disappeared. The angry Purugly walks over to the injured Geth, who was reaching out for its shotgun. She presses her pistol to its head, narrowing her eyes and releases two bullets. The Geth then disappear as well.
She looks over to the doorway to see a speechless Qwilfish.
"Purugly… are you okay?" Qwilfish asked, warily.
"I'm fine now that most of my anger is gone." Purugly walked over to Qwilfish. "But I'm still pissed at whoever cost us the mini-challenge and Garrus." She glared.
Purugly walked outside and headed down the ramp, leaving the warily Qwilfish to watch her.
Confessional: Angry Shooting Cats?
Qwilfish: I think I need to be careful with Purugly. As a cop; you should always be aware for anything suspicious from anyone. Right now, Purugly clearly is a kind of person you shouldn't trust. Who knows who else in this competition isn't trustful?
Purugly: I don't normally get angry like that. But losing my Mass Effect love interest seriously pissed me off. I really wanted to slip my tongue into his mouth and dance with it. I wanted to take Garrus's pants off and engulf his cock. (Sigh blissfully and smirk) At least I've kissed Garrus, so I'm not all that pissed.
Mesprit: (Looking uncomfortable) I would like to apologise if you're feeling uncomfortable with Purugly's confessional about her… passion for Garrus. Man… we may have to disqualify her if she keeps saying inappropriate stuff to the camera. Or we could just edit out the whole thing. It's depending on the producers' and editors' decision, really.
"Three men down? We're fucked." Zebstrika muttered. Him and Tangrowth joined Chandelure and Espeon in the bunker soon after the mini-challenge has failed.
Espeon opened her mouth to reprimand him for another sexist comment.
"Guys, I can see two more Geths!" Tangrowth pointed to the two Geth Hunters entering the bunker on the other side of the room.
The four members quickly move to the wrecked pile to hide from the Geths. Tangrowth aims his assault rifle at the Geths and fires his line of ammo at one Geth's head. However, it's not enough to kill it. Both Geths fire their shotguns at Tangrowth but surprisingly miss, considering his large body.
Tangrowth comes out of the hiding and onto a small ramp while still firing at the Geths. Chandelure also comes out from the top of wrecked pile, glows his eyes blue, lifting a Geth up and slamming it down onto the Geth. The hairdresser fires countless bullets to the two injured Geths, killing them.
"Wave six's over!"
"That's another wave done!" Tangrowth smiled, giving his teammates a thumb up.
"Yeah, but we've lost another player from our team." Espeon recalled.
"Let's go meet up with Purugly and Qwilfish." Chandelure declared.
They leave the bunker to see a glaring Purugly standing with Qwilfish hopping toward the cat.
"Can any of you explain to me why did you fail the mini-challenge?" Purugly demanded.
"The time had already reached zero before I can successfully hack it." Espeon explained, before glaring. "And I thought I was doing Garrus a favor by having him away from a vile, disease-spreading person like you."
"Well, fuck you, Wimpier Prayer!" Purugly glared, taking a step forward. The nickname was brought up because during the earlier waves; Espeon was only silently praying about how the war was horrendous and cruel. Some of her teammates, including Purugly, weren't pleased with her performances today.
"Guys, don't you start arguing!" Qwilfish scowled, finally making it to the others. "Argument is pointless here; especially since we're three teammates down AND we've still got four more waves to go. We need to work together if we want any chances of winning. So suck it up and let's all go back to the control room."
Reluctantly, Purugly and Espeon agreed, but they're still exchanging glares. They and the others headed back to the control room.
Confessional: Teammates are always the best!
Zebstrika: Right now, the only way we could possibly win this challenge is if the other teams' performances were worse than us. Of course, they've got more women on their teams, I'm confident we can still place first.
Tangrowth: We've only got four more waves to go… (Sigh) and it's going to get tougher.
What do you guys think of the chapter? I apologise if the grammar isn't good this chapter, I'm still working on writing action stuff and showing the words instead of telling. I would also apologise if I've got any of the enemies or the mini-challenges wrong, okay? The next chapter will be updated quicker as it'll conclude the episode and someone will be voted off.
