Sorry for the short delay! I've been terribly ill since the 15th and I have yet to fully recover from my illness. It was really hard to write this chapter but I did my best and hopefully you guys will enjoy! Thanks!
Corruption Battle Chapter Forty Eight: Sniper's Paradise
Black's POV
There was hardly any light emitting from anywhere in this twisted road of lost hope where I fought to stay on my feet, gritting my teeth with a frown as I devised my plan. The lucky shot strategy. It revolves around my skill of accuracy and anticipation of where Sino's bullets will go while White runs straight up to her under my protection. But will it work? Who knows. This isn't the time to be questioning myself. At any moment, she could shoot me. I'll die for sure...
"Black, I'm entrusting you with my life!", White exclaimed aloud at the top of her lungs from my left as the ground scraped, making me softly smile and look up at her, watching her stare deeply into the distance where a bright green light flashed and flickered like a star filled with evil. She held her blade in her right hand proudly down to her waist up vertically, reaching up to her eyes as her hair fluttered beautifully behind her in the calming breeze that swept up the darkened, forbidding land that began to remind me of my dreaded past... I won't lose. I will never lose!
Cuddled in both my arms, was a large, cold sniper rifle painted in horrific black that had my name etched to the left side of the long gun in a deep blood red, easily resembling my blade in many ways. The barrel reached up to a metre long, making it very front heavy. But it didn't make a difference. The model of the gun was a near replica of an L96 rifle, only was it more larger. My fingers wrapped around it's cold exterior, feeling it's smoothness and power surge and pulsate through it like it was alive. Of course it is... Phase possessed it. I looked down at my gun, smiling and blinking as I narrowed my eyes and felt a chill run down my spine, allowing me to finally take action. Raising my head up to the horizon, I forcefully punished knees by bashing them against the cold, debris infested ash-felt before slamming my torso onto the ground in front followed by my arms and finally, the gun. As fast as I could, the moment the green flash became extraordinarily bright, I looked through the scope of the gun with my right eye as my left shut itself as tight as possible, never wanting me to become distracted by anything whatsoever. I won't lose...
As fast as possible, the moment a flash of dark purple entered my field of view like a bullet, I twitched my aiming and shot at the energy bullet, gritting my teeth and yelling out in pain to how horrendously loud the explosive sound was that left the muzzle of my gun... My eyes widened in pure terror, I cringed in pain but I battled it. The recoil is not so much challenging but it's just the noise! I'm going to go deaf after this fucking fight!
When I had my eye ready for another round, I was utterly surprised to see that my bullet had successfully destroyed Sino's death bullets... Haha!
"White! Go! NOW!", I cried aloud and at once, she took off like the wind as another bullet was fired, this time, straight at her. Not on my watch! I grit my teeth, cringing as I aimed and braced myself for the loud noise. Forcefully, I pulled down on the carbon fibre trigger which caused an exothermic reaction to take place within the chamber of the gun, making it jump back and smash my right shoulder painfully. The bullet travelled up through the barrel inch by inch and at this point, the kick of the gun became the decider of where the bullet would go. With all my might, I stabilised the gun horizontally, keeping it on track as my upper back ached from the amount of stress I put onto my spinal cord, gritting my teeth as finally, the pulsating black bullet left the hole infested muzzle of my gun with an explosive finale. White smoke blew out of the holes from the muzzle. Three on each horizontal side and one from each vertical as a sonic boom blasted my ears and the debris around me away, causing my ears to ring like I was in a concussion. I forced myself to battle it no matter what, even if it means cutting them off!
I cringed, still staring through the scope to see White jump up into the air and twirl gorgeously mid flight as her hair fluttered behind her like ribbons, causing me to enter a state of awe. Right in front of her face, coming from the right side, was my bullet that point blank collided with Sino's bullet right before her very eyes, making my heart skip a beat to how deadly accurate I have become... N...No way...
"Impossible! There is no better sniper than me!", Sino exclaimed at the top of her lungs, strengthening her ambition as a marksman to the limit, making me grit my teeth as hard as I could. This is trouble!
White landed safe and soundly onto the ground, skidding on her feet a good three metres as she emitted a bright light around her left hand, allowing me to keep track on her as she kept on running and running non stop towards Sino who's bright green lights shone the brightest and turned into a deathly light purple, causing me to grunt as I took aim and fired at the exact same time she fired... I coughed, spitting out blood that piled up in my stomach due to the high decibels messing me up internally... The sonic boom... Argh!... Any more and I'm going to die! I have to change into my male form soon! I have to hope that nothing's still wrong with me in that form! Argh! She shot once again, making me take aim and pull the trigger without hesitation, ALMOST breaking my entire right arm as well as my my ears... I felt terribly weak, but I still fought on with everything I had. I won't lose! I will never lose!
My bullet knocked off Sino's bullet, and right now, White was no more than twenty metres away from Sino, making me smile as I took aim for the last time just in front of White to make sure it gets the bullet instead of her. C'mon... You're almost there White! Just a little more and then we'll win! A bright purple flash emitted, immediately making me fire at will right at White as I cringed and grit my teeth as hard as possible, losing my edge and giving in to the unbarring pain that took me by storm... I cried and pushed myself up to sit on my knees, hugging the gun like a stuffed toy as I stared deeply at White to watch Sino's final bullet lose it's power and explode into oblivion. I smiled softly, tightening my embrace around my sniper as White jumped, ready to deal the finishing blow right in front of Sino... But something happened... Something terrible... Something I couldn't stop even if I was still gunning...
Somehow, Sino was able to shoot White point blank in the chest, causing her to fly backwards a whopping one hundred metres back all the way at me, causing my eyes to widen as the pure shock numbed my pain, allowing me to stand up and drop my gun as I widened my stance and watched the flying White make haste towards me like a rocket. I grit my teeth and braced myself for impact, digging my feet into the debris before she collided with me and took me back a good two metres on my feet, destroying my insides and two of my ribs which impaled my left lung without any mercy... I stood there, eating up as much adrenaline as possible as I stared down at White who I held in my arms, my right under her back and my left under her knees... There was no wound on her, nor was she dead... She was staring up at me, wide-eyed to what had just happened... She then looked down to my chest, then my stomach before looking back up to my face with a soft, nourished smile that made me forget about all my problems and the current situation almost immediately... I'm too weak to keep on fighting... But I won't give up. I will live till time ends!... I want to win... No matter what... Even if it means having to go insane... But should I? Should I, Black Melody go insane against someone like her? No. It's not worth it... But... I will still fight!
"I'm sorry", White whispered to me softly as I slowly tilted her over so she could stand on her own, standing to my right slightly as she faced me. I smiled back, letting out a small sigh through my nose before slowly walking up towards my jet black sniper rifle that sat idly for me on the dusty, debris infested ash-felt... I won't let anyone else get hurt... But to do that, I have to hurt someone. And that someone, is Sino!
I channelled all of my black energy throughout my entire body to help numb the pain and heal myself as I bent over and picked up the handle of the gun with my right hand, then slipped the secondary handle onto my left. Erecting myself up like a solider, I smiled softly and thought deeply about Sino's fears... What she's afraid of...
Suddenly, my hair began to float and flutter softly behind me as White stood behind me in awe. I too myself was in awe but I kept my focus to the current situation, thinking as hard as I could about what her fear was which made my entire left arm ignite into bright black flickering flames of darkness and insanity... I won't lose! Her shot didn't kill White. And because of that, I believe that she's afraid to kill us!
At that moment, my right, light blue eye shone as bight as anything in the world, emitting a bluish aura that surrounded my eye and flickered like a burning candle. A bright purple light emitted from far ahead along with an explosion, making me smile as I clamped my teeth shut and listened to the heart beat of Phase, concentrating as much as possible. With the knowledge of Sino's fear, I formatted it into my black magic which I channelled straight into Phase with everything I had, supercharging my Night's Melody over the limit as it grew a more darker and darker black, inflicting fear into Sino before suddenly, the ground began to shake from underneath us... The blackness that surrounded me suddenly became a creamy blend of white mixed with black, causing my eyes to widen as White stood to my side, too holding a sniper rifle as she glowed brightly like the moon...
"This is our battle", She said confidently, leaning her shoulder against mine which made me smile and ready myself for the ultimate finale...
"I WON'T LET YOU WIN!", Sino screamed out at the top of her lungs, making White hum to herself as an intense bright purple light flashed before a massive dark purple energy ball blasted straight for us, making the both of us smile before at once, we looked to each other's faces and nodded.
"GO!", We both exclaimed and pulled the trigger down with all our might, causing an explosion to take place inside of our contrasted guns. The ground shook immensely, making me worry for a brief moment as the barrel of out guns enlarged to about as wide as our torsos before finally, a massive energy beam of black flung out of my gun and white from hers. They fused, twisted and turned around one another, spiralling up towards Sino as fast as light as a massive sonic boom blasted us, but we stood out ground and controlled the fire with all our might. I was completely stunned to how amazing the attack was... Not only was it beautiful, but it was deadly powerful as well! It burst through the dark purple energy ball like a needle through a balloon, continuing it's way straight towards Sino without mercy and shredding through the earth as if it was paper...
The last thing I ever heard, was the horrific screaming of agony and grief...
We blacked out...
White's POV
We have to keep ourselves low from now and on! What we did is NOT something to laugh at. This is fucking serious! We could have destroyed a quarter of the north with that attack! I can't believe we were even able to pull off such a trick!... Sino is one... Good sniper! She was able to take me on close quarters before I could even get an inch closer! Dammit... We went too overboard! Smoke, a giant meteorite trail and...
"Stop over reacting White! Black is alright with since half of the Corruption was cleansed because of that attack!", Ruby scolded at me childishly in annoyance, making me blankly blink as I sighed and shook my head vividly left and right, ceasing a second later to turn to Ruby. "Please calm down".
"Sorry. I'm not really good at handling things like this. Especially since we blew up a massive chunk of the land", I replied cheesilly and poked my tongue out at her, making her tremble in anger as Black chuckled from across the cold concrete room cheerfully. Haha.
"I don't know what you mean by half tho... I think you got all of it", Phase said, making me look up ahead to see her sitting beside Black to her right as she rested the back of her head on Black's soft, warm, elegant breasts... Black had a reddened face, but she coped with it since she knew Phase wasn't the 'Melody' or 'Star' type. I didn't mind, but she doesn't have to blush... Hmm...
"Yep! It was much easier than I imagined! I thought that we had to defeat the monster that stole my blood at the central but since Quarter taught me a lesson about Quad, I figured that the entire Corruption zone was him", Black said cheerfully, making my eyes widen in pure shock as sudden realisation hit me as hard as a boulder strapped with dynamite... She... Planned this all along?! "I had many speculations about the Corruption, but that one stood out the most. And because of the logic of this realm, Black and White together can create multiple effects, and because it spiralled as so, it created a vacuum"... EH?! Impossible! She knew that much?!... She looked like she was going to give up! Wow...
Jace's POV
Unbelievable... Those two pulled off one of the most insane moves I've ever seen!... But the battle isn't over just yet. Quad was just Corruption, and now he's gone BUT that does not mean that the other Colours aren't out of their Corrupted state. This was their plan all along. The Therians... To cripple a complex society and rebuild their nation step by step from the south to up... The battle has only just begun... It's going to be a war now. Humans, including our races against the uprising Therians...
Their step one is complete. Now it's time for our step one... Build an army while Frost and White do whatever they can to take back the Colours!
But if he becomes Black Melody... Then it'll be a major problem...
