A week later after the full moon here I was watching my little cousin making little, tiny giggles. I knew not to make him giggle too much since he can get winded. I probably look stupid, making weird faces at a newborn baby who won't even remember me doing that.

The morning after the full moon, Julie went into labour. My phone had been ringing all morning while I was asleep, exhausted.

Alex and Julie wanted one night off and decided to give me Aaron for the night. Tomorrow morning they'll be picking him up. I like think of this as a test and more bonding time with him before they all go back to Colorado.

Aaron reached his tiny arm up and latched onto some strands of my hair, pulling it down. I closed my eyes, wincing slightly.

"No," I cooed, "you're not allowed do that." I gently used my fingers to unwrap his clenched fist.

Instead of staying in my bedroom upstairs, I took vacancy in the guest room downstairs.

Aaron made a whining sound, and they all sound the same but somehow I knew he was hungry. Motherly instincts? I wrapped a baby blue blanket around and carefully picked him. I exited the guest room and walked around, cooing at Aaron.

"Hey, little guy," Allison whispered, caressing his soft cheek.

I smiled, glancing up at her and Dad. "Are sure you guys are okay with this? There might be a lot of crying..."

"It's fine," Dad came over to me and rubbed my back, "In a couple months we'll have the same thing."

I opened and closed my mouth a few times, "I was actually thinking of getting my own place." He raised his eyebrows, surprised. "The bribe money Gerard gave me...I kept it. I thought one day I'd might need the money." I gave them a smile, walking into the kitchen, before they could say anymore.

I didn't want to talk anymore about it since I hadn't fully decided if I was going to get my own house.

After I made up some formula milk for Aaron, I put it in the microwave for a minute and thirty seconds. I sighed in frustration when my phone rang from my jean pocket. I grabbed it out, checking the ID.

"Hey, Cassie," I answered the call.

"Hey, are you excited for prom tomorrow night?" I could practically hear the smile in her voice.

"Yeah, I have a feeling it will be an eventful night." The microwave timer finished and I used my shoulder to hold my phone up to my ear so I could take the bottle out. I put the lid on and left it aside to cool down a little bit.

"One that we won't forget," she promised. "So what are you doing?"

"Are you checking up on me?" I quizzed.

"N–no, wh–why would you think that?"

I sighed, "Derek told you to call me, didn't he?"

"Yeah," she gave in. Then I heard her take in a deep breath, "He's glaring at me."

I huffed, "Well, if you must know, I am babysitting Aaron for the night. Alex and Julie went out on a date."

"How is the little man?" She asked.

"Eh, well, I got him to stop crying about twenty minutes ago so that's a good thing. And now–" I paused, glancing down at Aaron, "now he's smiling at me." I tested the milk on my skin to see if it was hot, it wasn't. "It's probably wind, but I'll take it as a smile."

She laughed over the phone. "You sound like a natural."

"Motherly instincts," Cassie and I said at the same time. I laughed.

"I'm about to leave Derek's, so I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Yeah, night."

"Goodnight." She ended the call.

I put my phone down, then put the warm bottle in his mouth.

When I sat down in the living room, I watched as he sucked away, his brown eyes staring into mine. I noticed that when he did blink, I would get a glimpse of his long, girly eyelashes.

After a long night, Aaron started to calm down. Then after his second bottle he started crying so I changed his nappy and burped him, and I also had another bottle ready in jug full of hot water.

Now here I was, walking around the bottom half of the house with Aaron in my arms. His eyes were slowly shutting to the sound of me humming to a George Michael song.

...don't judge me, okay?! He has some pretty good songs, I can't help it if they're catchy.

Dad and Allison already headed to bed, now it's just me and–Aaron just fell asleep, so now it is just me.

I walked back into the guest room and softly put Aaron in the middle of the bed, then I put a pillow on both sides of him. Then I scrunched up one of his blankets and put it between his chest and the bottle.

I left the room and started to clean up around the kitchen.

After that, I sat in front of the fireplace. It was still alight. I sighed in content as the warmth touched my skin. I listened to the sound of Aaron's heartbeat, it was strong but slow which meant he was asleep.

"Maddie," I heard a soft voice.

I looked over my shoulder and saw Allison entering the living room.

"Hey, I thought you went to bed," I said quietly.

"Couldn't sleep," she shrugged.

I patted my hand on the floorboards next to me, gesturing for her to sit next to me.

"What's on your mind?" I asked when she sat down.

She sighed, "I'm sorry."

I turned my head to look at her, "For what?"

"Everything," she mumbled, clutching the locket I gave her for her birthday.

I shook my head, drawing out a sigh, "You don't need to be sorry."

"Yeah, I do, especially when Gerard was here. Even when he found out about you and Derek, he wanted to kill you and I didn't do a thing, there was some part of me that was okay with that. I never want to feel like that again."

"It's okay," I said.

She chuckled humourlessly, "It's not okay, Mads, I wanted to hurt you–I did hurt you. How can you be okay with this?"

"Because I know it wasn't really you, Gerard was controlling you, he got into your head."

"But from now on, I'm going to be better–"

"You don't need to be better, Allie, you just need to be you," I told her, "you're my sister, you'll always be my baby sister."

"Look how well that turned out," she mumbled.

"One tap for yes, two taps for no," I explained, grabbing her hand and putting it on the bump. "Grace, do we forgive Allison?" I waited for a couple seconds, then felt one soft tap against my stomach. I smiled, "Do we trust her?" Another tap. "Do we love her?" Another tap.

They weren't kicks just yet, but I was looking forward to feeling them.

Allison gasped, quickly pulling back her hand, "She can hear you?"

I nodded. "Her being a werewolf has magnified her hearing so she can hear more things," I explained.

"She loves me?"

"Yes," I confirmed, nodding, "As do I."

I watched as Allison's eyes turned glassy.

"Nooo," I whined like a child, "don't cry, you'll make me cry."

We shared a laugh, then she wrapped her arms around me. "I can't wait until Grace is born, I'm so going to spoil her so much."

"Of course you are," I sighed, closing my eyes and breathing in Allison's familiar scent.

I got out of my car, grabbing my bag before locking it up. I scanned the parking lot for Adam. My gaze stopped when I found him getting out of his car. I slipped one arm between the straps of my bag then made my way over to him.

I came up behind him and covered his eyes with my hands. "Guess who," I whispered in his ear.

"Um...Amanda?" He guessed, although I knew he was joking.

I removed my hands and he turned to face me. "So not funny," I narrowed my eyes playfully.

"Morning," he smiled softly.

"Morning," I repeated, leaning up to peck his lips.

We began to walk towards the school building.

"What do you have now?" He asked, bumping his shoulder with mine.

"Uh, music," I answered.

"I have automotive."

I hummed as we reached my locker. I went to open it, but an annoying voice stopped me.

"Hi Adam," Amanda greeted him, completely ignoring my presence. I see she didn't take my advice.

"Uh, hi," I could hear the confusion in his voice.

"Could I talk to you for a minute?" She asked, twirling a piece of hair with her fingers.

"I'm kind of busy," he said strongly.

"It'll only take a minute," she pressed on.

Adam laced his hands with mine, catching her attention. I watched as she clenched her jaw together. "No thank you," he dismissed calmly.

Amanda glared at me, "What's so good about her?" She was talking about me, but it was directed to him.

"Maybe it's because I don't pressure him," I spoke up, "I don't make him do anything he doesn't want to do." I took a step forward, whispering, "I don't try to force him to have sex with me."

"You don't know what you're talking about," her voice was deadly, but calm.

"He told me everything," I matched her tone, keeping my face void of any emotions.

Her eyes grew harder, "You're not good for him, you'll never be."

"And you think you are?" I asked.

"Yeah," she nodded confidently.

I shook my head, "He dumped you, get over it."

I walked around her, getting away from her.

When I reached an empty hall way, I felt a tiny tug on my forearm. Looking up, I saw Adam gazing down at me, smiling.

"What are you smiling for?" I squinted my eyes slightly.

"That was hot," he said quietly. I cocked my head in confusion. "Did you know you're quite possessive?" I opened my mouth to reply, but he cut me off, "Don't worry, I liked it." His voice got quieter, "It was very sexy."

I bit my lip to keep myself from smiling. It didn't really work. I leaned up and pressed my lips to his briefly.

I pulled away, grabbing his hand and pulling down the corridor. I opened a door, inside was the janitors closet. I pulled him inside with me, locking the door behind us.

Dropping my school bag, I reattached our lips, my hands fisting in his shirt, pulling him closer. He eagerly responded, his hands placed on my waist and softly pushing me against the wall.

My hands trailed up his chest and into his milk chocolate hair, pulling him against my body.

The bell rang for the first class of the day causing Adam and I to pull away, breathing heavily.

"Wow," he breathed out, gently removing my legs from his waist so that I was now standing on the ground.

I huffed, smiling. That was one steamy make-out session. I wiped my lips and around them. Looking up at Adam, I laughed.

"What?" He asked quietly.

I licked my thumb, then wiped it under his lips. Some of my lip balm had rubbed off onto him.

"Did you just 'mum' me?" He raised his eyebrows, clearly very amused.

"Uh...sorry," I winced, removing my hand.

He chuckled, "It's okay. We better get to class."

I nodded, picking up my bag, "I'll go first, make sure no one sees you."

"Sure thing, Argent."

I laughed, fixing up my hair and clothes. I took in a deep breath before walking out of the janitors closet.

I quickly ran to the music room and was met with the faces of Ashley and Natalie.

"And where have been?" My raven haired friend raised her perfectly plucked eyebrows.

"Kissing a certain lacrosse player?" Ashley suggested.

"No," I shook my head, "I just got caught up."

Both girls shared a glance at each other before laughing.

I huffed, walking around them and taking a seat. This was going to be a long day.

I entered the dress shop that had my prom dress. I looked around, before going to the lady behind the desk. She wore a black and white pencil skirt with a white blouse tucked into the skirt. Her hair was neatly done in a bun.

"Hi, I'm here to pick up a dress," I told her sweetly.

"Name?" She asked.

"Madison Argent."

"Oh, I'm sorry, but the dress was already picked up."

I raised my eyebrows, "When?"

"About thirty minutes ago," she answered.

I frowned, "Could you show me the camera footage?"

She looked a little sceptical, but then nodded. So I took it upon myself to walk around the counter and watch her set up video from half an hour ago.

She pointed to the screen when the dress was about to be taken.

My jaw dropped when I saw the person who took the dress. Amanda Willowby. I clenched my jaw.

"Thank you," I said after clearing my throat.

I walked away from the counter and started searching for a new dress.

I can't believe she stole my dress!r I mean, I know she practically hates me, but taking my dress? Isn't that a little childish?

I sighed, going through a rack of dress. None of them looked right.

Turning around, I jumped back at the sight of Derek and Isaac standing in front of me.

"Oh my god, youse scared me," I breathed out, clutching my hand to my chest.

"Sorry, but Isaac needs help," Derek said.

"With what?" I asked.

"I need a suit," Isaac replied.

"Why do you need one?"

"Didn't you hear?" He smirked slightly. I shook my head. "I'm Natalie's date for prom tonight."

I blinked a couple times, "What happened to Brad?"

"I heard her say he couldn't make it," Isaac shrugged.

I crossed my arms over my chest, narrowing my eyes, "So you're going to be watching me all night?"

"I prefer the term 'looking out for you'."

"I can look after myself," I told them, walking around the pair to look for a dress.

"We know that," Derek said, grabbing my elbow, turning me to face him, "but the alpha wants you for some reason so we're not taking any chances."

I sighed, "You're not chaperoning, are you?"

He chuckled, "They wouldn't let me."

"And you're going to listen?" I raised my eyebrows, looking up at him.

He sighed, avoiding my eyes. I'm taking that as a 'no'.

"Can I please have just one night without any supernatural drama?" I asked quietly with pleading eyes. "It's my senior prom."

I ripped my arm from his grip, returning to the dress racks. The red one looked too bright, the pink one was too girly, but the green mermaid tail was just hideous.

"I thought you already had a dress," I heard Isaac say. He's still here?

"I did," I said nodding, "but Amanda stole it."

I heard snickering coming from him. I turned around and glared at him. He instantly shut up.

"It's not funny," I scowled.

"What about this one?" I turned my head to see Derek holding up a light peach coloured dress. It was strapless, with peach coloured sequins around the top half.

It was beautiful.

"That's it," I whispered in awe.

I grabbed a black blazer with matching pants and handed them to Isaac.

"Try these on as well," I said smiling. Before, I gave him a white long sleeve top.

"Thanks," he responded before going to one of the change rooms.

I walked back over to the sofa where Derek was sitting patiently. I sat down quietly next to him.

Suddenly, I turned to look at him. "Hey, am I possessive?" I asked.

"What?" He raised his eyebrows, looking confused.

"Just answer the question," I told him.

"Trouble in paradise?" He smirked slightly.

"No," I scolded, "and he happens to like my possessiveness." As soon as the words left my mouth, I groaned, rubbing my forehead.

"It comes with being a werewolf," he said quietly.

"Will I ever grow out of it?" I mumbled.

"Maybe, but knowing you? I don't think so."

I looked up to him sharply, ready to give him a piece of my mind, but Isaac called out from the change room.

"I look ridiculous!"

"I'm sure you don't," I answered.

He groaned, pushing the curtain back. He walked out and over to Derek and I.

"You look good," I said nodding.

He sighed, rubbing his hand over his face, "Tie or bow tie?"

"Tie," I confirmed, getting up and fetching a black tie.

I turned back around to Isaac, who looked embarrassed. I could even feel the emotion coming off him.

"What?" I asked, looking confused.

"I don't know how to tie a tie," he looked down to the floor, "my dad always did it."

"Don't worry," I brushed it off, threading the tie around my neck, then began to tie it up.

I loosened the tie and took it off my neck. Looking up, I saw Derek and Isaac looking at me weirdly.

I glanced at the tie in my hands, then back to them. I shrugged, "I had to wear a tie at one of my old schools."

"What school gave you a tie to wear?" Isaac asked frowning.

"Avery Collage, it's a private girls school."

"I thought you had to wear a dress," Derek said looking confused.

"Yeah, I did. That was the summer uniform," I explained.

I cleared my throat, getting back on track. "Go take those off," I gestured to the formal clothes Isaac was wearing.

I locked my bedroom window and closed the curtains once again. I've been a little paranoid ever since I saw the alpha at my window.

"Okay, I've got the hair dryer," I heard Allison say, walking into my room.

I nodded, sitting on a chair in front of my mirror. She plugged in the dryer, then started to dry my hair. Slowly, colour turned brighter. After that, she straightened all of my hair, then curled them at the ends. She then styled my hair half up half down, tied with a hair tie and white ribbon. And it only took an hour and a half to do all of that.

"You look beautiful," Allison gushed, clasping her hands together.

"Thanks," I smiled.

"Oh, I almost forgot about this," she said, grabbing the hairspray and applying it on my hair. "Okay, I'll leave you to it."

Allison walked out of my room and I reached over and began to apply some makeup. I used my foundation, mascara–it's the only one I've got–black eye pencil, a light shade of brown and black on my eyelids and last a light pink shade of lip gloss.

I gave my reflection a tiny smile, before standing up. I walked over to my closet and pulled out the dress, laying it out on my bed.

I untied the robe, letting it fall to the ground. I unzipped the back of the dress and stepped inside of it, pulling it up my body. After I zipped it up, I turned around and stared at my reflection.

I smiled softly to myself.

Then I slipped my feet into the two-inch beige heels.

I heard the doorbell ring and I instantly knew Adam was here. I grabbed my small clutch and walked out of my room.

As I reached the top of the stairs, my eyes connected with his. Adam wore a black suit and white long sleeve top with a beige tie.

At the bottom step, I slipped slightly, but he caught me straight away.

I huffed a laugh, "Sorry."

"No problem," he whispered.

Someone cleared their throat causing us to break the eye contact.

Dad had his eyebrows raised, while Allison wore a cheesy smile.

"Have fun you too," Dad said strongly, "be safe."

I nodded. It surprised me that he hadn't threatened Adam's life, you know, those little things the Dads do to their daughter's date.

I locked my hand around his and he pulled me closer as our bodies were swaying to the music. I rested my chin on his shoulder, glancing around the room.

I found Cassie and Jeremy talking and smiling to each other. Natalie and Isaac were slow dancing, as well as talking, and Ashley and Ben were slow dancing. So far there has been no sign of Derek all night.

I was really glad we didn't have out senior prom in the school gym. Instead, the teacher hired a hall for the night.

"Has anyone ever told you that you've got the voice of an angel?" I heard Adam say in my ear.

I erupted with laughter, "No, I don't think anyone's said that to me before, people would usually tell me that I sound like Mariah Carey."

A couple minutes ago, I sang one of the songs I wrote.

I closed my eyes, breathing in Adam's scent. It was sweet, but sour at the same time.

"Hmm, do you want a drink?"

"I'd love one, let's go," I said, lacing my hand with his.

He chuckled.

We walked over to the punch bowl, he gave me a plastic cup and got one for himself.

"It's not spiked, is it?" I asked, frowning at the red liquid in my cup. I couldn't smell if there alcohol in it because I was smelling everything in the hall.

Adam gave me a thoughtful look, before taking a sip for his cup. He shook his head, "There's none."

"Oh thank heavens," I responded quickly, before swallowing half of the punch in the cup.

I licked my lips after removing the cup.

Glancing around the hall, I spotted Amanda talking with her friends...wearing the dress she stole from me. I narrowed my eyes at her, hoping she'd noticed someone was looking at her.

"Hey," I dragged my eyes away from Amanda to Adam, "don't let her get to you." I stared at him with a blank expression. "And besides, you look so much better than her." I started to smile, but not because of the compliment but because his heart rate didn't increase. He wasn't lying.

"Thank you," I squeezed his hand in mine.

I leaned up and pressed my lips to his shortly.

He smiled affectionately, bringing his free hand up to cup my cheek. "You're welcome," he whispered.

I put my cup down, without breaking eye contact, he did the same.

I gently pulled him back onto the dance floor, wrapping my arms around his neck as he slid his arms around my waist.

I hummed quietly to the song that was play by Band of Horses and Adam leaned down, pressing his forehead against mine. Closing my eyes, we slowly swayed to the music.

"Do you wanna get out of here?" Adam asked. It's probably been two hours or more since we arrived at the hall. And it was getting a little humid.

I glanced around the hall, checking to see if any of the teachers or Isaac were looking in our direction. They weren't!

Turning back to Adam, I gave him a cheeky smile.

He returned one, before we got up and quickly started walking towards to exit.

I had a funny feeling pit in my stomach and I suddenly felt rebellious. I liked that feeling.

"So where are we going?" I asked once we got in his car.

He turned the ignition on after our seat belts were on and started driving away from the hall.

"It's a surprise," I could hear the smile on his face while I looked out the window, watching the buildings fly past.

"Could you please give me a hint?" I begged. I was never really one for surprises.

I rolled my head over to look at him, smiling softly.

"Nope," he said, popping the 'p', "but I will tell you this, my sister came home from college a couple days ago, and my parents started rambling on about a beautiful girl I'm dating, a.k.a. you of course, then Crystal wanted to bring you home for dinner tonight, but I explained that we couldn't since we had prom, but then she came up this is idea for our own little prom."

I swear I almost swooned. I have to admit that I love romantic things.

I watched as his eyes twinkled, briefly glancing at me before going back to the road in front of us.

"I love it already," I told him, giggling at the end.

I licked my top lip, before speaking again, "Could you at least tell me the location?"

Adam pursed his lips, thinking it over for a couple of seconds, "The edge of the preserve."

I hummed, blinking.

He glanced at me, smirking slightly. I gave him an opened mouth smile, before turning to look at back at the road.

I gasped upon seeing a black figure standing metres away from the car.

"Look out!" I yelled, closing my eyes and bracing myself for the impact.

A/N: A cliffhanger, I know, I'm sorry but I couldn't help it.

I have a new shipping name. Dadison.
