Adam didn't feel more afraid in his life when his aunt wanted to hear his side of the situation, he was afraid that she wouldn't believe him. While Sagittarius led the Comte, his wife and Mystique to the front parlor, Adam led his aunt to a private place, the library. It was the only private place Adam could think of, besides his own room, but he really didn't want his aunt there. The library was Belle's special place and Adam really didn't want to spread the invitations, but he really didn't have any choice in the matter.

Adam opened the door to the library and let his aunt go in first. After she went in, he went in and softly close the door behind him. It was silent for a while as Henrietta walked around the armchair and the couch.

"Adam," she said, "sit your butt down." Adam decided to do what she asked him to, he walked over to the armchair and sat down. Henrietta continued to walk around the couch and the chair. Neither one of them said anything for a while, Adam could only guess what is going through his aunt's mind.

"That took some guts, Adam." Henrietta finally spoke, Adam looked at her with a confused look on his face. "Telling Nanette that she isn't allowed anywhere takes some guts and bravery." she continued, "Almost nobody says 'no' to her."

"No one?" Adam softly spoke up.

"Nope." Henrietta answered as she sat down in the couch in front of the armchair, "Anyway, I want to hear what you have to say about what happened, without her interrupting every sentence."

"I see." He said, Henrietta can see that Adam was worried, but she wasn't going to let Nanette make a mockery out of her family.

"There's something behind that gate that you're protective of, correct?" she asked. Adam brought his head down and nodded 'yes'. "Care to tell me what it is?" When Adam brought his head back up, Henrietta noticed tears trying to escape his eyes.

"Mother's rose garden." Adam answered.

"Ohhhh, I see." Henrietta said, fully understanding. "It was her...and your...place to escape." Adam simply nodded, knowing what his aunt said was true. Even though a rose held his fate, he never felt anger or hatred towards a rose because of his memories of his mother's rose garden. "I fully understand why you didn't want Nanette to go in there. In fact, I fully understand why you wouldn't want anyone in there."

"You do?" he asked.

"Yes," she answered, "your mother only let me in there once...and told me the entire truth about...what she went through...and how worried sick she was about you. She also told me how important that garden was to you, not just her. That's why she only let herself and you in there."

"I...was worried that you wouldn't understand." Adam said.

"Oh, I do. Nanette needs to taught a lesson, I wish I could pull her title."

"This might be rude of me, but why?" Adam asked, Henrietta started rapping her foot.

"Because she has done enough damage to my family." Henrietta answered, "She tried to get your uncle to leave me for her, she's tried to make one of her daughters marry my son and now she's going after you."

"Then...why haven't you, as you said, pulled her title?"

"Because she's a Comtesse by marriage." she explained, "If she were one by birth, that would be another story. Pulling her title means pulling her husband's title as well. Danton is a whole lot more nicer to others than that wife of his, I don't know why he married her in the first place."

"Your rules as Queen are confusing." He said.

"Be glad you don't have to deal with them yet." She said, "My idiot father made those rules and I can't change them because I'm a woman."

"That's a dumb rule!"

"You can say that again. Hopefully when you become a king, you might be able to change some of the rules that my idiot father and brother have made."

"Me?" Adam said in surprise, "A king?"

"If you do a well enough job as a prince...and become a 'daddy' yourself, you'll become a king." When Henrietta mentioned Adam possibly becoming a father, his face started to turn pink. Henrietta started to giggle when she saw her nephew's face. "You're giving me the same face your uncle did when I mentioned children to him. I didn't mean to scare you like that."

"I know you didn't." He said trying to calm his racing heart. "Don't you think you should...go and...?"

"Give Nanette a piece of my mind? I should!" She got up and was going to leave the library. As she opened the doors, she looked back at Adam. "Don't worry about it, I'll deal with everything." She left the library and closed the door.

Adam was still struggling to calm his racing heart, the thought about having kids was quite surprising. He wasn't sure how to think about it, he tried to think about something else. Adam noticed something on top of the fireplace mantle, he got up and noticed that it was one of Belle's favorite reads. He started to think about her, he missed her so much. Adam was starting to think that he would do anything to see her face and speak to her again. He really did understand that Belle couldn't move out of her bed, but he didn't know why she stopped speaking to him and the door was locked.

"Oh Belle," Adam said, "I wish you were feeling better."

"What's wrong with my niece?" a female voice boomed.

Adam quickly dropped the book and quickly looked around for the voice startled him.

"I haven't seen you in a while, your majesty." The voice added as the the fire in the fireplace popped, Adam turned to the fireplace to see the smoke swirling around on the floor near him. The smoke was rising until it reached Adam's height, it then started swirling into the shape of a person. The smoke popped and faded, that's when Adam saw the person standing in front of him.

It was Celia, Maurice's half-sister, Adam hadn't seen her since Belle defeated her mother, Fiona. Celia no longer looked like what she did when Adam first met her. Her strawberry-blond hair was now dark green and purple spiked hair, her gray eyes were now a lavender color and she had markings near her mouth that looked like she had fangs coming out of her mouth.

"I scare you, don't I?" Celia asked.

"You just...surprised me." Adam said, still a little shocked.

"Don't try to hide it," she said, "my dumb markings scare everyone."

"I..." Adam swallowed his worried-ness, "I haven't seen you since...um..."

"Since that horrible mother of mine was defeated." Celia said, finishing the sentence. "Don't worry about it. Before I get off topic, what happened to my niece? I heard you talking about her." Adam knew that he couldn't get around not telling her, so he ended up telling her the whole story about Belle and Tintement being attacked by Anton and being stuck in their rooms. Celia was calm at first, it wasn't until Adam finish speaking did she speak up. "I should strangle that man's neck!"

"Keep your voice down, please Celia!" Adam pushed, "I don't want my family to catch you...like this!"

"All right," she said calming down, "that...is a good point. Though, I should strangle his neck."

"Not unless I beat you and Maurice to him first." Adam whispered to himself.

"I heard that."

"Sorry, though I want to ask, why are you here?"

"Originally, I was looking for Tintement." She answered, "I wanted to apologize to her again for...putting that spell on Belle and her. I made a guess that she was at Belle's cottage in that village she used to live in. I also thought I would also apologize to Belle, in case she might be there...for what my mother has done to her and everything else. I had quite the surprise though when I got to Belle's old cottage."

"What do you mean?" Adam asked.

"When I got there, there were men guarding the cottage. I didn't expect anything bad to happen when I walked up to the house, but when I did, those men grabbed me and asked me what I wanted with the owner of the cottage."

"You didn't tell them the truth, did you?"

"No, I told him that it was none of their business, but they weren't going to let me go until I spoke the truth. So I ended up kicking their behinds." Adam just looked at her from head to toe. "I'm much stronger than I look. After taking care of them, I went into the cottage and saw that the place was empty. That's when I got the idea that Belle and Maurice gathered their stuff and left. I wanted to come here to see if they might be here. When I went out the door, there was one man that had to scary look in his eyes. The men told him that I was the one that harmed them, he didn't believe them, but he did believe that I might have something to do with Belle. He had this black hair and evil-looking green eyes and the men called him 'Anton'. When you said that name, I wanted to go and break his legs."

"You look like you got away unscathed." Adam said.

"Almost," Celia said, "he got me in the stomach, but I managed to run away quick enough that he couldn't catch up."

"Don't lie, you used your magic, didn't you?"

"You catch on very quick, your highness."

"You're a part of Belle's family," Adam said, "you don't have to call me that."

"No, I don't, I thought I would just be respectful." Celia said with a smile.

"Well, I do thank you for...keeping your voice down." He said.

"You're welcome." She whispered, "I also know you're a halfie like me."

"A what?" he asked.

"A halfie," Celia said again, "half-human and half magic being." Adam's eyes grew wide.

"How did you know that?" he quickly asked.

"Every magic being knows a halfie when they smell one, including other halfies." Celia explained, "But you don't have to worry about your secret being leaked, my mouth is sealed." Adam took a breath of relief.

"Look Celia, you don't know what that means for me and Belle."

"Actually I do. Not a lot of magic beings want to accept those who have a human relative, no matter how big or small the relationship is." When Adam heard that, he wasn't too surprised about it. He already knew what it was like not being accepted by others. Adam was about to say something else until there was a knock at the library doors. Adam and Celia looked at each other with worry, or at least until Celia pointed to the second level, telling Adam she'll be hiding up there.

When she quickly disappeared up the stairs, Adam went over to the doors. When he opened them, he saw Sapphire.

"Sapphire, what are you doing here?" Adam asked, coming out of the library and closing the doors behind him.

"I fixed it." Sapphire said, Adam gave her a dumfounded look. Sapphire opened a bag she had on her side and pulled something out. Adam saw it was Belle's blue peasant dress, the one that Anton tore when he attacked her. He gently took it out of Sapphire's hands.

"Thank you, Sapphire." Adam softly said.

"Don't worry about it," she said, "it was the least I could do...since I was the one that took her outside."

"Sapphire, don't blame yourself."

"I'm not trying to." She said, "I also made this." She pulled out another pair of clothes. "These are more for you, Sagittarius asked me if I would." Adam also took them, but he didn't get a chance to see what they looked like because he saw his cousin coming around a corner.

"I was hoping that you were still here, cousin." Sagittarius said walking towards him.

"Why?" Adam asked.

"My mother is making the Comtesse apologize to you." Sagittarius answered, "The Comtesse doesn't want to, but none of us is going to get any sleep until she does."

"Then we might as well head to the front parlor and get it over with." Sapphire said, Adam nodded in agreement. The three of them headed towards the front parlor, Adam could only guess what mood everyone was in.
