After making sure Belle was going to be fine, Adam had Lumiere and Tranquillité guard Belle's bedroom door. He wasn't going to take any chances, leaving Belle alone, despite the fact that her mother was with her. After all that, Adam went back to spend time with his aunt. He didn't like the idea of Belle being alone, but she was the one that pushed him into spending time with his family.
Adam decided not to argue with Belle, especially with the upset stomach she had. He went back outside with his aunt, this time, she brought her son, Adam's cousin, Sagittarius as well. While enjoying the time spent with the two of them, Adam could see in his cousin's face that he was starting to get a little tired from all the family time that's been going on today. Adam didn't blame Sagittarius since the two of them had been together before Henrietta made her appearance.
At dinnertime, Belle was feeling a whole lot better, despite swallowing her mother's strong medicine. It was a usual dinner where everyone was talking to each other, but Nanette would not speak or pay any attention to Belle. She is still very furious inside that Prince Adam was going to marry a peasant girl...but...she had an idea to try and separate the two of them.
The next day came, it was time for Henrietta, Sagittarius, Sapphire and the other ranks to leave. Adam kind of stammered a little when trying to say good-bye to Adelaide, mainly because of the sight of her being pregnant, so Belle had to help him.
"What he means to say," she said, "that it was nice to have met you."
"I had a feeling that's what he was trying to say," Adelaide said with a smile, "I hope to see the two of you again soon." She walked to the carriage as Danton, Nanette and Mystique approached Adam and Belle.
"Well, your highness," Danton said, "I hope everything goes smoothly for you."
"I hope so, as well." Adam said, then the two of them bowed to each other. Once her parents were ahead of her, Mystique took a chance to speak Adam and Belle.
"You're very lucky, Belle." Mystique said, Belle had a look of confusion. "What I mean to say is that...you're lucky that you've found a man that loves you as much as you love him. I really do hope that the two of you have a happy future." Mystique curtsied and followed her parents.
"I don't...think she's as bad as others think." Belle whispered.
"I don't think she is either." Adam whispered back.
"What are the two of you talking about?" Adam and Belle quickly looked at Henrietta who was now standing in front of them. "Probably best I don't know," she said, "Anyway, I'll send a letter out to you soon about what's else is going to happen." Henrietta curtsied and turned around, but before she left, she stopped and said; "Write more often." Then she went to her carriage. Before anything else happened, someone grabbed Adam's shoulder and swung him around, it was Sagittarius. Once he swung Adam around, he bear-hugged him.
"Sagittarius!" Adam said, "Let go! I can't breathe, you're too strong!"
"Oops, sorry." He said as he let Adam go.
"One of these days," Adam said, "you're going to crush me!"
"I would never do that to my only cousin!" Sagittarius pushed, then he sighed, "I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you as well." Adam said as he smiled, Sagittarius smiled as well and the two of them bowed to each other as Belle and Sapphire curtsied as well. Sagittarius and Sapphire got in their carriage, just like the others got in theirs and Belle and Adam watched the royals leave until they no longer saw the carriages. When the carriages were gone, the servants, who were also saying good-bye to the royals, breathed a huge sigh of relief and went back inside the castle. As for Adam and Belle; when the servants went back inside the castle, they took a bigger sigh of relief as they sat down on the stone stairs.
"Finally it's over." Adam said.
"Not completely," Belle added, "but the biggest part is taken care of."
"I'm...sorry that the Comtesse said such horrible things to you." Adam said, "I should've been there for you when she said that."
"Don't blame yourself, Adam." She said, "I was avoiding you for a reason of my own, I had to be reminded that I had you no matter what happens to us."
"As long as you want to be with me, Belle, I'll do whatever I can to make you and your family happy. To this day, it's still a struggle to believe that a wonderful brave woman like yourself...fell in love with a beast and accepted him for who he truly is."
"Well, I'm here to remind you about that. To be honest, I...still can't believe that...you still want me with you...despite all the problems I bring."
"What problems?" Adam asked, Belle closed her eyes as she took a deep breath.
"Gaston trying to kill you...my step-grandmother...that monster of a brother of Gaston's not leaving me alone..." she just sighed, "you're willing to stay with me, despite everything that's happened."
"Belle, you got me out of a situation that I never thought I would get out of," he explained, "the least I can do is help you get out of your situations. Besides, you didn't cause these problems to happen, they're the ones that want the problems to continue and...as long as the two of us fight them, we'll be able to live our lives together."
"You...really believe that?"
"I really do," Adam answered, "but question is...do you believe it?" Belle was really surprised that Adam threw the question back at her and, to be honest, she really didn't know how to answer it.
"I...I'm not sure, but...I have to hope for it, just like you hoped for the end of the curse."
"My, my, what a picture." Babette said as she, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts and Cogsworth were watching them from a window.
"We shouldn't be spying on them," Mrs. Potts said, "we risk a chance that they might catch us."
"Exactly!" Cogsworth quickly said, Lumiere quickly put his hand over Cogsworth's mouth because he said it a little loud.
"Cogsworth, if you speak any louder than that, they will catch us!" Lumiere pushed, Cogsworth removed Lumiere's hand from his mouth.
"Well, I wasn't the one who caught sight of them in the first place!" Cogsworth pushed.
"Tranquillité!" Babette urged, "Be quiet! If there's anything loud in this castle, it's your arguments with each other!"
"She has a point." Mrs. Potts added, "Look, we should be happy, not just because the royals have left, but the master will be receiving his father's crown."
"Mrs. Potts is right." Lumiere said, "We should be happy that the rules that...the king...had made will soon be changed!"
"I wish...la Reine...was here to see the great changes that her son made." Babette added.
"Oh please!" Cogsworth piped up, "If the queen were still alive, she would've punished or fired us for letting the master get out of control and for getting him cursed in the first place!"
"I think you're referring to yourself, Cogsworth." Lumiere said, "You're the one that la Reine took a very large disliking to...excluding Forte."
"Don't being his name up!" Mrs. Potts quickly said, "It still makes my blood boil that he tried to kill all of us all because he wasn't getting any attention."
"We all hated his music," Cogsworth said, "as the master said before, it was gloomy. I don't even know why the master let him stay."
"Well, he was here when...the king...was still alive." Mrs. Potts added, "I think...the king...was the only one who ever liked Forte's music."
"I defiantly know that no one misses him," Lumiere said, "but...in all reality...I do miss the Queen."
"You only miss her because she was assez." Babette said, in a jealous tone.
"I'm not saying that because of that reason!" Lumiere pushed, "Although she was beautiful, but that's not the point. I'm saying I miss la Reine because she was nice to everyone, despite that...the king...would be angry at her for it."
"True, very vrai." Babette said in a calmer tone.
"Belle will as good, if not better, than Queen Lydia." Mrs. Potts said.
"Maybe," Cogsworth said, "I am worried though."
"What is it this time?" Lumiere asked.
"Something's telling me that the royals aren't too happy about the master marrying Belle. Queen Rainier had me guard the door where she and the other royals were discussing about the master's crown, I overheard one of them saying that...the master shouldn't be marrying Belle because she's not of royal birth."
"Hmm, well, they'll have a hard time getting the master to marry someone else." Mrs. Potts said, "There's no possible way that the master will choose someone else, he loves Belle too much to do that."
"He's just like his mother," Cogsworth added, "Queen Lydia loved the master so much that she refused to marry again, despite all the royal men that promised her to treat the master as their own."
"Proves that the ladies that can live fine without a husband," Mrs. Potts said, "I and the Queen defiantly prove it."
"Well, should we get our chores out of the way and be de finition?" Babette asked, Cogsworth nodded his head. All four them went back to their work...before they got in trouble.
