A/N: I want to give a huge shout out to my very helpful reviewer, Majestic Butterfly, who gave me a few suggestions. So buckle up, because while I plot out more of the story, you get a front row seat to the past these next few chapters. Enjoy!

Juice laid on his bed in his dorm room since he couldn't bring himself to go home to an empty house. He stared up at the ceiling, his arms flung out at his sides with his feet hanging off the bed. He couldn't believe she was gone. The very thought of Jordan being in prison made him nauseous. He suddenly felt cosedi nand knew he had to get out.

He sat and swung his legs over the side of the bed, shoving his feet in his boots. He grabbed his cut off the foot of the bed and bolted out of the room. Juice ran through the bar area and out the door. He paused, looked around and headed for the ladder that led up to the roof.

He climbed the ladder, the rungs warm from the sunlight and hauled himself up onto the roof. He walked over and sat down on the ledge, staring up at the blue sky. He pulled his cigarettes out of his pocket and lit one, exhaling a puff of smoke. He closed his eyes and let out a deep breath as he drifted back to that day so many years ago.

The sky was dark gray, almost black as the lightening flashed and the thunder rumbled. The rain was coming down so heavy you almost couldn't see your hand in front of your face. Juice had got stuck at the garage, getting lost in his latest assignment. He swore as he stood under the overhang, taking a deep breath before making a mad dash to his Dyna. He reached the bike and hopped on, revving the engine and taking off.

He rounded a curve five minutes later and saw a figure walking down the shoulder of the road, passing the old saw mill. He slowed down pulled off just ahead of the figure. He shut off the bike and removed his helmet, slowly climbing off. He noticed the figure pause when they saw him. The figure started walking again, as did Juice. They met a few steps later.

Upon closer inspection, Juice realized it was a girl. Her was plastered to her face and her clothes were drenched, never mind the fact she wasn't wearing a jacket. She stared up at him and he could barely make out light blue eyes through the downpour. He cleared his throat and saw her flinch a little bit. He hesitated, then reached out and grabbed her hand, tugging her towards the old mill. She resisted for a minute, but gave up and followed him.

Once they were inside the mill, Juice pulled off his cut and stripped off his hoodie, handing it to her. She eyed is cautiously as she reached out a shaky hand and took it. He took that moment to look her over. She had long blond hair that looked like it stopped in the middle of her back and hung over her shoulders. She had light blue eyes that reminded him of crystal and he noted the tense, scared look in them. She wore an old faded pink tank top and tight fitting jeans that were plastered to her legs, making them appear even tighter.

She looked up at him and his breath caught in his throat. She was beautiful and upon further inspection, he saw she was pale and too skinny. She offered him a shy smile as she attempted to hand his hoodie back. He shook his head and motioned for her to keep it. she was pulling it over her head when a crash of thunder caused her to jump and whimper, sending her stumbling backwards. Juice reached out and grabbed her arm, steadying her.

"Thanks." She said in a low whisper, flashing him a sheepish smile. He returned it with a grin that could light up a dark room.

"Don't mention it. Names Juice." He said with a small shrug. She gave him a half smile and raised an eyebrow.

"Juice huh? That's quite a name." He grinned and shrugged.

"It's a nickname." The girl laughed and Juice found that he liked the sound of it.

"Some nickname." She held out her hand and smiled up at him. "I'm Jordan." He took her hand gently and raised an eyebrow.

"Jordan huh? That's some name." She smirked and shrugged, not making any move to pull her hand back.

"Yeahh…unfortunately it's not a nickname." Jordan bit her lip then and looked away, pulling her hand back in the process. She walked over to the window and put her arms on the sill, gazing out. Juice hesitated, then walked over next to her. Jordan sighed, but didn't look at him.

"I'm an only child. My dad wanted a boy." She told him. Juice cringed. He wasn't sure how to that felt, but he knew what it was like to have a dad that didn't appreciate you.

"That's rough." He said in a low voice. She shrugged, still not looking at him.

"It's life." She said simply. "The rain let up." She said suddenly, anxious to change the subject. With a great effort, Juice tore his eyes away from the blond and looked out the window. The rain had indeed let up and he found he was a little sad about it, knowing they were going to have to part ways.

"Yeah. You need a ride home?" He asked. She hesitated again, longer this time. Her hands started playing with the bottom of her shirt and she avoided looking at him.

"No. I'm not far from here." She said finally, her voice barely above a whisper. Something about it set off warning bells in Juice's head.

"Alright." He said as they headed towards the door. "Where is home?" He asked when they were standing next to his bike. She bit her lip and looked at the ground.

"Wherever." She mumbled and Juice wasn't sure he heard her right. She sighed. "My mom died a little while ago and I ain't heard from my dad in about five years." His eyes widened as he willed her to look up, but she didn't.

"So then…you really don't have anywhere to go?" He asked gently. She shook her head. "How long ago did your mom die?" He questioned. She fiddled with her shirt again, something he would learn that she did out of habit when she was nervous.

"About a year ago." She told him miserably. His jaw dropped. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He turned and grabbed his extra helmet, handing it to her. She stared at it, then looked at him with wide, curious eyes.

"Come on. You can stay with me for a couple days." When she gave him a suspicious look, her flashed her a grin she would soon dub, 'Juice's million watt smile'. Jordan warmed instantly and took the helmet, climbing on the bike with no hesitation.

"Juice!" He opened his eyes and looked down to see Jax waving up at him. "Hey! Get down here! Someone's here to see you!" Jax motioned behind him and Juice saw a shock of bright red hair. He knew immediately that this was only going to spell trouble. Or at least inform him of a few things he didn't want to know.
