Juice looked over the edge of the roof for a minute longer before, watching Jax lead the red head into the clubhouse. He had never seen her before, but if she was showing up with Jordan being in prison, she was someone Jordan knew, and that probably wasn't good. He sighed and climbed down the ladder, trudging across the parking lot and bracing himself before pulling open the door. He was greeted by a lot of yelling and screeching.
"This is ridiculous. Who the hell let me best friend go to prison? I knew I shouldn't have let her go off on her own. Jesus Christ!" The redhead was ranting. Juice walked up and stood next to Jax.
"Who is this girl?" He asked in a low voice. The angry redhead spun around and glared at him, her eyes angry emerald slits.
"My name is Andi Angel and Jordan's my best friend." She snapped at him heatedly. He raised his eyebrows and crossed his arms.
"If she's your best friend, where were you when she was fending for herself? Where were you when I found her walking down the side of the road in the middle of a downpour?" Juice very rarely got angry, but this was the girl he loved they were talking about. He took a step forward, but the redhead wasn't intimidated. "If you're so worried about her now, why was I the one that took her in?" Andi's eyes flashed and she sucked in a breath.
"Because I haven't heard from her since she left Tennessee. Jordan's the kind of person that if she doesn't want to be found, you're not going to find her." Juice paused, knowing she was right. If Jordan took off, you were stuck wondering where she was and if she was safe until she decided to come back home. He incident flashed back to the scariest incident he had ever faced with Jordan. Well, one of the many.
It was around the time Diossa had been attacked. The only thing running through Juice's mind as soon as Jax told him Diossa had been attacked, was if Jordan was ok. She had started hanging around Diossa when she met Lyla and spent a lot of time there. His heart was racing and his mind was flying a mile a minute as sped towards his house. He was relieved she hadn't been at Diossa and was even more relieved when he saw her old Chevy Chyanne was sitting in the driveway. He quickly climbed off his Dyna and hurried to the front door, fumbling with his key.
Expecting to be greeted by country music and Jordan dancing around the house singing into her hairbrush, he was more than surprised when he walked into complete silence. There was no awful country music and she wasn't dancing around, grinning at him like an idiot. Thinking she was sleeping, he headed down the hall to their bedroom. He flipped on the light and was greeted by an empty bed. The closet was open and some of Jordan's things were gone from the top of his dresser. He swore and pulled his phone out.
"Lyla? Is Jordan over there?" He asked. He paled when Lyla said she hadn't seen Jordan for a few days. His started racing again as he ran through the last twenty four hours in his head, trying to figure out if he had done something or if they had fought. But he came up blank. "Jesus Christ!" He swore and flung his phone across the room.
He grabbed his phone again and headed back out the door. Ten minutes later he was pulling up in front of TM. He climbed off his bike and sprinted towards the door, barreling through it and almost knocking Bobby over in the process.
"Whoa, slow down there little Rican. Where's the fire?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. Juice cast him a frantic look.
"I can't find Jordan." He told the older man. Bobby hesitated for a minute, not sure what the problem was. Juice blew air between his lips and swiped a hand over his face. "The thing with Diossa? The lockdown?" Bobby's eyes suddenly registered recognition, slight panic coming over him.
"Hell. Go find Jax and the boys." Bobby said, jerking his head towards the chapel. Juice nodded and was off again.
"Jax!" He said, busting into the room. "I can't find Jordan." Jax's blue eyes widened then he pinched the bridge of his nose, exhaling sharply.
"Go grab Chibs. We'll meet out front and look for her." Juice nodded again and shot out to the garage. When he found Chibs, he didn't even bother to say anything. He just grabbed the man's arm and gave a hard jerk, sending Chibs stumbling. Juice pulled him out of the garage and over to the bikes where Jax was holding court and giving orders.
Chibs rolled his eyes. "Shite, that girl really knows when to take off." Juice shot him a scathing look and climbed onto his bike.
They searched Charming twice and came up empty handed both times. By this point, Juice was ready to have a panic attack when he hopped up onto a bar stool and sighed. Gemma handed a him a glass of whiskey and offered him a smile. "I'm sure she's ok baby." Juice shrugged and didn't say a word.
He headed home shortly after that, kicking his shoes off and heading straight for the bedroom. He flopped onto the bed and reached out for her pillow, inhaling the vanilla scent. He sighed and tried to fight it, but slept came to him shortly after.
The next week was filled with constant worry. It had been seven days and Jordan still hadn't called and she wasn't answering her phone. Juice had no idea where she was or if she was even alive and it was driving him crazy. So imagine his surprise when the front door opened on the morning of the eighth day and she waltzed in, acting like she hadn't been gone for a week. He jumped up from his place on the couch and stared at her with wide eyes.
"Why do you look like you just saw a ghost?" She asked him, looking at him like he was crazy. He gave her an incredulous look and in one fluid movement, crossed the room and pulled her into his arms. She tensed momentarily, then relaxed and slid her arms around his waist.
"The day you left Diossa was attacked. I was scared to death you were there. When you weren't I was so relieved. Then I got home and you weren't here. I freaked out all over again. You wouldn't answer your phone and there was no note or anything." His grip on her tightened and her breath caught in her throat. "I didn't have any way of knowing if you were ok or if you were even alive. I was so worried." Jordan heard his words hitch and she suddenly felt horrible. She pulled back and looked up at him.
"I'm sorry Juice. I had no idea about Diossa. Packing up and going is like a second nature to me. I didn't mean to make you worry." Juice saw tears in her eyes and bit his lip. Her lower trembled as she looked at him.
"Jordan, you can go anytime you want. I'm not saying you can't. Just…promise me two things." His voice was gravelly and she couldn't bring herself to speak, didn't trust her own voice, so she just nodded. "Promise me that anytime you leave, you'll give me a heads up. I can't stand being so worried about you." She nodded again, her eyes wide as she watched his chocolate brown eyes gloss over with tears. "And please, please promise me you'll always come home."
"Jordan's heart jumped at the word. She hadn't had a home and someone to care about her since her mom died and she left Tennessee. The fact that Juice cared so much and called his home hers, made her feel like crap. She pulled him close again and buried her face in his chest.
"I promise Juice. I promise all of it.
"What do you know about her being locked up?" Andi's voice brought him back to earth. He looked down at the four foot something redhead and sighed. He hated to admit that he didn't know anything about it, but Jordan was private person. She didn't tell anyone anything.
"I don't know anything." H told her. Anger flared inside him when she smirked and shook her head. "What do you know about it?" He snapped. Her smirk widened and it just infuriated him more.
"More than you do." She responded, hauling her backpack onto the table. "That's why I'm here." Juice fought the urge to roll his eyes but failed.
"Lucky us." He mumled to Jax, who coughed to cover up his laugh. Andi narrowed her eyes into hateful slits, but ignored the remark. Instead, she went to her backpack and unzipped it, pulling out pictures and papers and a file folder. She dropped into a chair and looked up Jax and Juice with a raised eyebrow. The boys glanced at each other and sat down across from her.
"How much do you actually know about Jordan?" She asked, directing her attention to Juice. He hesitated, again ashamed to admit he didn't know much. Andi nodded at his silence. "I figured as much. Jordan's pretty much a closed book these days. It takes a lot to break through her wall." She looked down at the table and rifled through some papers. She pushed a picture across the table.
"This is Jordan and Matthew. The guy she killed." Juice gazed down t the picture, his eyes wide. The picture in front of him had to be from years ago. Jordan looked years younger, sixteen maybe and her light blue eyes were still bright and happy. Her arm was around a guy that was taller than her with deep brown eyes, dirty blond hair and a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. As if reading his mind, Andi spoke again. "She was fourteen there. He was seventeen. That was right after they started going out." Juice kept his eyes glued to the picture, but Jax looked at her.
"You sound bitter." He said it as a statement, not a question and she nodded, her emerald eyes filling with anger again.
"I warned her more times than I can count, but she didn't listen. She was in a rough place at the time, so I guess I can't blame her." She said sadly. Juice looked at her questioningly, but she didn't elaborate.
"If she was so happy, why were you so against it?" He asked. Andi sighed again and rifled through some more pictures.
"Because that was before this." She pushed a couple more pictures across the table and Juice's heart sank as soon as he saw them. They were some of the most horrible things he had ever seen and definitely answered some questions he had had but Jordan wouldn't answer. "And these." She pushed some papers across to them and Jax let a low whistle. Juice shook his head slowly, not wanting to believe what he saw, but knowing he didn't have a choice.
"So what do we do now?" Jax and Juice asked in unison. Andi smiled for the first time since she'd been there.
"Now, I open you up to her past."
A/N: And that's it. Sorry it took me so long to update, my new work schedule is crazy. So, just a heads up so you're not confused. Jordan's flashbacks will be in order, Juice's will not be. However, I did get the year in the last chapter wrong. Jordan's first flashback takes place in 2002 and she's twelve. I apologize for the mix up.
