CHAPTER 10

A KICK STORY

A/N: Hey guys! I'm really really sorry I haven't updated my story in such a long time! I haven't had a computer because we gave the old one to repair but it was unfixable so we had to buy a new one and until then I had a crappy computer that didn't work right. But I'm back with a new awesome laptop! Sorry for the wait. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I own nothing except for the plot and any OC's.

"Jack!" Kim cried. Excited and ecstatic was an understatement of how Kim felt at the moment. She was so happy to see Jack. Her hero was here. How cliche... "Get away from her Jude. She did nothing to you. It's me that you want." Jack said seriously. "No, actually. It's to hurt you. That's what I want. To hurt you. And by hurting your mate is the best way to hurt you. The man who's name was apparently Jude said.

Jack's fangs suddenly slid out. "GET AWAY FROM HER!" He shouted. Jude lunged onto Jack but Jack moved away so Jude just fell on the floor. Faceplant? Really? What a loser. He deserves it though. Jerk. Kim quickly put her shirt back on and backed up against the wall, trying to get as far away from the two as possible. Jack picked Jude up and punched him right in the face. Ouch! That's gotta hurt. Jude fell right to the floor again. But he got back up and threw a kick to Jack's stomach. Jack blocked and did a back kick, hitting Jude right in the gut.

Jude doubled over in pain. "Get the fuck out before I rip your head out." Jude decided to obey and ran out of the house. "Who WAS that guy!" Jack then walked to Kim. "Kim are you alright? Are you hurt? I heard your thoughts when I was coming back to your house." Jack bombarded her with questions. "I'm fine Jack. But who was that guy? He just waltzed in and tried to... to... do IT to me!" Kim cried outloud. Jack's jaw clenched.

He sighed and sat down at the kitchen table. Kim sat down next to him. "What happened Jack? Who was he?" She asked softly. "I guess it's time that I tell you. His name is Jude Martin. His whole biological family are vampires. Living on, continuing their everyday lives. I knew them since I was a human. I met them when I was twelve. His family consisted of him, his parents, his older brother and his little sister. She was my age. We became friends. One day they were over at our house for dinner." Kim nodded for him to continue. "Jennifer, his little sister and I were playing up in the attic."

"Come on Jackson! You must be able to make this move if you want to have a chance of winning this game of chess!" Jennifer said proudly as she was winning. Jack- or Jackson rolled his eyes. "We'll see who wins." Young Jackson said as he smartly moved his queen. Jennifer gasped. That one little move just made Jackson win the whole game. "B-but! I was going to finally win! Ugh. I cannot believe you." Jennifer said. Games always bring out the competitive side of her.

"Well that is too bad for you. Now lets go down and get a drink of water. I'm thirsty." Jackson said. "Alright. But we must come back up here to play another round of chess. I will surely win this time." Jennifer stated. "Whatever makes you happy, Jennifer." Jack replied. Jennifer started climbing down the long ladder when there was a small cracking sound. Jennifer stopped for a second. She started climbing down again when the ladder suddenly broke. Jennifer fell to the ground with a loud thud. "Jennifer!" Jack shouted.

Jack and Jennifer's parents and siblings came running up. "What happened?!" They yelled out. They saw Jennifer on the ground with blood coming out of her head and Jack at the top of the ladder, looking down. Jennifer's parents and big brother came to a conclusion. "How could you Jackson?!" Jennifer's mother cried out. She went running to the injured girl. "We must get her to the hospital!" Jennifer's father shouted. "I didn't do it! I promise! She fell when the ladder broke!" Jack cried. The other family ignored him and Jude sent him a deatly glare. You will be sorry." Jude said. The family then ran out of the house. Jack told his parents and siblings the truth. They believed him. But the Martins never did.

END OF FLASHBACK

"Jennifer went into a coma. She never woke up. One day, her heart just stopped working and she died. The Martins have hated us ever since. They wouldn't believe us when we told them that the ladder broke. They thought that I set it up." Jack explained. Kim gasped. "Jack... Jack that is absolutely horrible! They can't just assume something like that without proof!" Kim said with anger. "I know. But I think that they only did that to cover up some of the pain of losing their only daughter." Jack explained.

"I'm so sorry Kim. I have put you in so much danger. I have enemies out there. I'm a bad guy. By loving you, I have put you in a very dangerous position." Jack said with a sigh. Kim put a hand on his shoulder to calm him down. "Everything will be alright, Jack." Kim said reassuringly. Jack looked up into Kim's beautiful brown orbs. "I can't lose you, Kim." Jack said, barely in a whisper. He felt so weak. Being so afraid while he was such a dangerous creature. "You will never lose me, Jack." Kim replied.

"I love you, Kim." Jack said. "I love you too Jack." Kim said. Jack pulled the petite girl into his arms and kissed the top of their head. They stayed like that for a few minutes until Kim broke the silence. "I am going to go visit my grandparents today. Alex is with them." Kim said. "I'll drop you off." Jack said. "Alright. But they will definitly invite you in." Kim said with a laugh. "Well then I will definitly go in." Jack replied. Kim smiled and stood up. "I'm going to finish my breakfast now." Kim said, getting back her bowl of cereal from the counter. Jack chuckled.

They talked and talked for about another hour when Kim's cell phone rang. She picked it up and answered. "Kim it's me, Grandma. Alex just had another seizure and passed out. Her pulse is weak. We are taking her to St. Patrick's Cancer Hospital. Meet us there. The situation seems serious." Kim's Grandma said as she was crying. "I'll be right there, Grandma!" Kim cried out. Jack read her thoughts. "I'll start the car." Kim nodded. "I'll be right there. I need to right a note for my Aunt. She is going to come home today." Kim said, hurriedly. Jack nodded and ran out of the house.

Kim scribbled down a short but clear note to her Aunt Ella. She then grabbed her purse and ran out the house and locked the door. She ran into the car and buckled in her seatbelt. Jack started the engine and drove off as fast as he could. Going about five miles over the speed limit but they didn't care. Kim's little sister could be in serious danger. Kim silently gasped and swallowed a lump in her throat. She had a sudden fear of cars ever since her parents died in that accident.

"Don't worry Kim. Everything well be okay." Jack reassured her, reading her thoughts again. In another ten minutes, they were parked infront of the hospital. Kim got out of the car and saw her Grandparents getting Alex out of the car. She was passed out and her eyes were closed. Kim suddenly felt a pain in her heart, seeing her little sister like that. "Jack! Over there!" Jack looked to wear Kim was pointing. They both ran over to Kim's Grandparents and Alex. "Grandma, Grandpa! Let Jack carry her." Kim cried out pointing to Jack.

Jack picked Alex up, bridle style and ran her into the hospital, Kim and her Grandparents hot on his heels. He went up to the reception desk. Kim ran up beside him. "Anne! Alex just had another seizure and passed out!" Kim knew the workers here well. Anne immediately picked up the phone. "Get a gurney and nurses here fast. Alex Crawford has passed out after having a seizure. Get Doctor Andrew. Hurry!" Anne exclaimed into the phone.

A few seconds later four nurses appeared with a gurney. They took Alex out of Jack's arms and strapped her in. Kim then noticed blood on her head. They wheeled her into the emergency room and Doctor Andrew was already in there. Jack, Kim and her Grandparents waited outside of the emergency room doors while the doctor and nurses ran tests on Alex. Doctor Andrew came out one and a half hour later.

"Kim, Larry, Bethany." Dr. Andrew came up to a crying Kim and her tear filled Grandparents. "I'm sorry." Those two words stung Kim's heart. "Alex's brain tumor grew to three quarters of her brain. She doesn't have long. There is nothing we can do anymore. No amount of medication or surgeries can help her. It will take over her body in less than three days." Dr. Andrew explained, sorrow and pity in every single word. Kim and Her Grandparents were sobbing by now. Jack pulled Kim into his arms. Ella suddenly ran up to all of them. "Aunt Ella!" Kim cried out. Jack released his grip and Kim ran up to her Aunt.

"Honey, w-what happened." Ella asked. She was frightened by the way everyone's faces looked. Dr. Andrew came up to Ella. "Ella, the brain tumor spread. She has less than three days. Then it will spread throughout her whole body. I'm sorry." Every word sent shocks and pains throughout Kim's body. She was sobbing into her Aunt Ella's shoulders. Ella stood in shock until she processed everything. She too began sobbing.

Hey Kickers! I know, this chappy was depressing. But trust me, Kim will have many more ups and happiness later in the story. I hope you enjoyed. Again, I'm REALLY sorry for updating so late! Don't forget to review! I read every. single. one.
