Mini Soldier

Chapter 14

Note: Sorry for the wait guys, gosh I am sorry! Forgive me?

-STEVE-

The blond was beyond depressed. He thought of nothing but how his best friend was dead and he could do nothing. He sat in his room for hours on end, thinking of nothing but Bucky. Why did you have to go and get yourself KILLED? Steve wondered sadly.

The pregnant man had been having trouble wrapping his head around everything that had happened. Bucky was dead. Tony was growing closer with him. Clint and Natasha were back. Bruce was off with SHIELD doing god KNOWS what. Thor and Loki were busy in Asgard for something.

Steve was all alone.

He began to sob. "Baby?" he didn't look up to know it was Tony who had entered his chambers. The brunette had taken to joining him when he wasn't in the lab or eating. "Baby what's wrong?"

"My best friend's dead!" Steve sobbed. "And my freaking hormones are out to get me!"

Tony cooed softly before he pulled his Stevie into his arms. "Hey now, don't get all like that with me. I get your hormones aren't being the kindest but don't worry, okay? He wouldn't want you to act like this."

"Last time he 'died', he didn't and he was live. Didn't you know that? I just assumed he was dead and left him. Hydra got him Tony. And now he's hurting…" Steve broke down crying, sobbing heavily. Tony pulled him into his arms and held him close, trying to calm him.

Steve didn't stop crying till he passed out.

-TONY-

Tony lay on the bed, staring at the blond with sad eyes. He felt like this was his entire fault. If only he had been more on guard, tried harder to find Bucky— even if he hated him he still made Steve happy— and tried harder to be nice to the man. Steve had told Tony stories of the two growing up, and Tony was jealous.

He'd never understand that part of Steve's past. He'd never understand what it was like to lose everything.

Why did Steve even want to be with him?

Tony sighed as he ran a hand through his messy brown locks. The man was waiting for Steve to wake, but he didn't think it'd be happening. Right then, something surprising happened.

Pepper entered the room, clipboard in her hand and she looked ready to do something interesting. "Tony?" She asked softly.

"Shh!" He shushed her. "What?"

Pepper frowned but nodded to the hall, causing Tony to grumble but get up. He made sure Steve was still asleep before following Pepper out into the hall. "What?"

She looked at her. "I miss you."

"Huh?"

"I miss you. I want to get back together. I love you Tony."

-BRUCE-

It was large morning; Bruce had already stumbled around, had coffee (three cups) and now was watching the TV. He didn't know what to expect that morning, seeing as Steve was falling apart and Tony was always with him. Thor had returned to Asgard with Loki in hopes of their father forgiving Loki.

Natasha and Clint had been called in by SHIELD for another mission and were on their way to wherever they were going. Since Bruce didn't need to do anything, he was watching TV.

The news actually.

"BREAKING NEWS!" the person said causing Bruce to look carefully. "People have been questioning what has happened to our great hero Captain America. Where had he gone to? Well, we caught up with Pepper Potts— Tony Stark's ex girlfriend and worker and friend, hearing from her about the Avengers. She says that Captain America has been locked away in Tony Stark's room, having a breakdown about a recent death of a close friend. Other than this, she also said that because of this, Cap will be off on helping and saving the world. Sad yes? Not totally! We also heard from Miss Potts that there may in fact be something going on between our two favorite superheroes!"

Bruce stared at the screen, in total shock. Did Pepper really go off spilling all their secrets?

He began to head towards Tony's room knowing that both Tony and Steve would be there. When he got there, he found Tony and Pepper, in the hallway with a staring with sad eyes Steve there as well. "What's going on here?" Bruce asked.

Steve sniffled. "Why don't you ask him?"

"Tony?"

"Pepper's here asking to get back together," Tony sighed as he rubbed his forehead.

Bruce was surprised. "Are you actually thinking about it? TONY! What about Steve?"

Tony looked at Steve with love shining in his eyes but he looked overly confused and worried. "I…."

Okay guys, I need you all to read this. This will make sense as to why I haven't updated in a LONG time. It is because….last month, September, my nephew was found to have cancer, in his blood, private parts, his span and other places. However, he is getting better. In July, I broke up with my boyfriend and have been dealing with that as well. School also started up.

SO why didn't I update during the summer more?

I was upset, lazy and had a nasty writer's block. So I forced myself to write this short awful chapter but none the less, a chapter. I now know what I want to do (I kinda forgot what was going to happen before opps). And since my nephew is getting better, and everything is looking up— I shall keep writing! I'd love it very much if people reviewed this chapter so I know if there is anybody still reading and if I should keep going. If not, I will stop posting completely.
