Chapter 5 I hate school
Naruto woke up tired as he tried to get up and out of bed, it was a long night because as soon as everyone left Kivira had told him to go to bed and he laid there for several hours to excited and nervous to sleep. It was only because he kept squirming that Kivira clocked him in the head, he didn't think he deserved that but at least he got some sleep. He wriggled loose from her grip and went into the shower getting cleaned up for the first day. Once out he realized he had no idea what to wear to school and began a frantic tossing of clothes all over the room as he went through the three dresser draws that held all his belongings.
Kivira woke up and saw black over her face, reaching up and removing the shirt that was on her face she rolled onto her side and watched as Naruto tried on several different outfits before he settled on a orange jumpsuit that she thought looked absolutely hideous...
Naruto had decided that the orange would probably be best as it was the only matching pieces of clothing he had. He was midway pulling the jacket on when it was pulled back and got yanked off of him.
"You are not wearing this in public..." Kivira said tossing it next to the dresser, and then eyed him with a serious look as she decided what to put on him. She thought for a moment before she went to the dresser itself and started digging through clothes tossing things behind her in the same fashion that Naruto had already done scattering them everywhere. She went through all three draws until they where empty and then browsed through the selection, which wasn't much and chose a dark red shirt and black pants, and went to take a shower while he changed.
Naruto was dumbfounded as he stripped out of the orange pants and slid into the black ones, he couldn't see anything wrong with the orange but he wasn't going to make Kivira mad so he slipped on the red shirt and then took a look in the mirror and smiled that at least she was there at all. He walked into the kitchen and grabbed some cereal and ate quickly, washing the dishes and grabbing his shoes when Kivira walked in with just a towel on.
Naruto just stared for a moment and turned around red in the face as he bent down to put his shoes on much to Kivira's amusement, she still couldn't believe how even though he was young and innocent he would still react to that and when he was older and fall on his face stunned.
"What?" she asked as she walked over to him and flattened his hair with her hand, Naruto just smiled and shook his head before giving her a hug and walking out the door. She smiled as she watched him, noting that despite all of the evil that had been dragged onto him, he was still so alive and kind. She enjoyed the sun for a few minutes on her before she shut the door, locked it and faded from sight.
Naruto raced through the streets of Konoha as he made his way to the academy, he was excited to finally start learning and had been waiting for the day to start his ninja career. He caught up to the kids that had formed a small group outside of the building and listened in on the conversations and greetings as everyone knew each other outside of school. Naruto looked around and saw a few kids see him and smile as they would sometimes play together when the parents weren't around and then he saw a few other kids who he knew where apart of the clan groups and they nodded, well most of them at least.
It was only a few minutes after this that the door opened and the instructors came out and introduced themselves, the first one with white hair was Mizuki and the guy next to him with black hair was Iruka. They explained that they would oversee the next few years of training that the present group would receive during their time at the academy. Naruto just nodded his head with the rest of the class as they walked into the class room and took there seats, Naruto chose to sit in the back row of the class and watch how it went. He froze when the role call was taken and they got to his name and he said "here" and then they moved on as if it was no big deal at all, he let out a sigh and smiled, hoping that maybe things could be normal for once.
Once role call was finished Iruka closed the scroll and then proceeded to tell everyone to pull out there text books. Mizuki then came forward and smiled at all the students before he told them to open up to the chapter about the 4th Hokage and his fight with the Kyuubi no kitsune. Naruto squirmed a little bit as each student was asked to read a paragraph and as they went down the row Naruto could feel his unease increase as it got closer to him. He jumped a bit when his name was called and saw a few short lines
'The kyuubi slaughtered a third of the hidden leaf shinobi during its rampage in Konaha and during the continued assault outside the village. The 4th hokage along with many others gave their lives to protect the hidden leaf and the kyuubi was sealed into a young boy, Naruto Uzamaki...'
Naruto stopped reading as his face burned, everyone was looking at him and Mizuki had a sadistic look on his face as he said "Well kids it looks like the fox is in the class learning now" he said maliciously as he pointed up at Naruto. Iruka shook his head before trying to reign in the class who was still staring at Naruto who looked about ready to die some had fear on there face while others had looks of anger, he wasn't looking forward to the end of class...
Iruka was not amused by Mizuki's blatant disregard of the Hokages law, and held himself back from yelling at him, He just cleared his throat and told the students to face forward and that Naruto was welcome to be here just like them. Some of the students settled down in ease but the non clan kids still had worried looks.
Naruto just sat back and kept his book up for the rest of class as they went through the chapter and then, when the bell range he got up and left, making his way out as fast as he could. He got out into the main area where he was stopped by a few kids from his class who asked him if it was true, Naruto wasn't sure what to do... He wanted people to know Kivira like he did and not him or her but that also meant saying yes to the question, so he just ran off without a word back to his house.
Once in and the door locked Naruto climbed onto the couch and cried, his head in Kiviras lap as she ran her fingers through his hair. She was pissed off that the teacher would outright ostracize a student willing to learn in front of another teacher and the class. Mizuki was lucky she couldn't get a hold of him, but mark her words if he ever showed up here he was as good as dead. Naruto ended up falling asleep like that and slept the majority of the day as well. It was already dark when he woke up and looked around bleary eyed as he tried to get up. He felt himself wrapped up in something soft and looked to see a few tails wrapped around his body albeit a bit tightly. Kivira head was tilted slightly as she slept peacefully her hand still resting in his hair but slipped out as he squirmed.
Naruto managed to escape from her tails and went into the kitchen getting some food out of the fridge and eating it. He could still feel despair over how the day went and was not looking forward to how tomorrow was going tot go but he was determined to make it as a ninja no matter what it took.
Kivira woke up to the sound of Naruto as he banged around in the kitchen. She smiled at him as she got up from the couch and walked into the room and took a look at the mess he was creating as he attempted to throw together food. She waited a few minutes as he went about his plan before he caught something on fire and that's when she stepped in stopping him from catching the house on fire. Naruto looked up at her with surprise as she grabbed his arm and stopped him from trying to pat the flames out like a idiot. She just smiled as she waved her hand and the fire dimmed and then died.
"Let me cook ok" She said as she ushered him from the stove and sat him down at the table and then went about pulling out reasonable food that could actually be healthy for a growing boy. She laughed inside a bit as she realized that she was basicly acting as a mother for now and that Naruto probably saw her as such not that she minded, she just hoped that he didn't always see her as a motherly figure because that wasn't what she was.
A few minutes later she had already thrown together enough food to stuff him with and had brought it all to the table as he just sat there staring at her with a impassive look. It was eerie to see him like this but when he spoke it was in such a serious tone that she couldn't help but smile
"Kivira you don't see me as a monster do you,?" he asked so innocently as he had big tears begin to well up in his eyes. He really believed what the teacher said, that he was a monster and the village hated him for it. He wasn't sure sure what to think, all he knew was that everyone but him seemed to fear the Kyuubi with the exception of the old man and the few ANBU who had helped her be around her. Kivira just shook her head and hugged Naruto before piling food on a plate for him and placing it in front of him.
"Eat Naruto, and don't linger anymore on what the teacher had you read, he is just a jerk trying to be cruel to another human being..." Kivira said while she thought about how luckily she wasn't a human and therefore the rules didn't apply to her.
Naruto nodded before digging into the food, a simple dish consisting of noodles, cheese, peas and soy sauce, and it seemed to be her favorite because it was one she made often and he enjoyed quite a bit. He ate through the food quickly before getting up and washing the dishes, he remembered something as he watched Kivira in the window.
"Hey can we start the training now? You said once I started school you would begin to teach me as well..." Naruto asked with a expectant expression to which Kivira raised a hand to her face and looked away a moment before peeking through her fingers at the boy. He was still staring intently at her and she giggled before saying yes.
Naruto walked up and hugged her, before heading to the training room that was hidden in the living room. He pressed his hand to it and it opened up for him. He stepped inside with Kivira right behind him and then went to the far wall and began to pull some books down before he sat down on the floor waiting expectantly.
Kivira sat down across from him and smiled as he opened the first book on basic chakra manipulation and began to read the first steps. She saw all of this as she read it through his eyes and waited patiently for him to get through the instructions before he stood up and put his hands together. She got up as well and mimicked him. It was kind of unusual she thought that even though she was here and with him and yet still trapped in his body she had her own chakra system and everything. She pushed that to the back of her mind anyways as she watched swirls of blue chakra start to form around Naruto as he gathered energy to himself.
She smiled as she felt her own red chakra swirl around her in a similar fashion and was pleased to see that both of them where in sync with each other. Naruto could feel all the energy flowing around him and focused on pulling as much energy as he could the swirl of chakra increasing drastically as the room started to become charged. It was only moments later that the entire room was swirling in red and blue chakra as it mixed and turned to a purplish color in the middle.
Naruto opened his eyes and was shocked to see the entire room alive with energy and lost focus, all of the blue chakra faded and was quickly overpowered by red which then in turn swirled around and then faded as Kivira looked up and unclasped her hands as well.
"What was that Kivira, why was our chakra all over the room?" Naruto asked confused as to what had happened.
"Remember what Yamato said about this room, its completely charged with chakra and will make molding easy and also extremely dangerous since it will mix with any chakra used in this room." Kivira said as she created a fireball in her hand to prove a point. The fireball started out small and then rapidly grew in size to be as big as a boulder without any additional effort.
"See it started out as the size of a small ball and now its huge, this room charges whatever is used inside it, don't go overboard." She said matter of fact with some playfulness as she waved a hand in front of Naruto as he was basically drooling over being able to make something like that.
"Naruto, I'm serious... Do not go overboard in this room or I wont let you use it to train." Kivira said with as much authority as she could which may have been to much because Naruto had backed up a bit from her and looked slightly scared.
For a moment she looked confused before she realized that the killing intent that was pouring off her would make any average human or demon bow down before her. Naruto was silent and alert while he watched her and jumped a bit when she reached out towards him but didn't back away. She embraced him in a hug before telling him that she wasn't mad she just didn't want him to get hurt.
Naruto was glad to not be in trouble and smiled as Kivira let him go. He was about to try again when she placed a hand on his shoulder and steered him out of the room.
"We will have plenty of time tomorrow and all the days after ok. Lets get some rest, you have school tomorrow." Naruto just pouted as he made his way to his bed and climbed in, Kivira right behind him as she slid in under the sheets. She pulled Naruto to herself as he started to drift in and out before falling into a peaceful slumber as he snuggled up next to her.
"Sleep my precious" Kivira thought as she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep...
Naruto sat down in class for the second time and waited for role call to happen as he thought about what Kivira had said to him this morning, he woke up and ate breakfast before getting ready for school a sad smile on his face.
"We are going to practice our silent talking alright" Kivira said with a smile as she pushed him out the door. Naruto just nodded as he walked to the academy and got to his seat quickly before the teachers arrived. He sat quietly as he talked to Kivira in his mind only slightly mumbling out loud and had brightened up a bit by the time his class mates ad begun to show up. He smiled at them and most of them smiled and waved in greeting before the teachers walked in and everyone rushed to their seats. Mizuki came in followed by Iruka who glanced in his direction and then went about starting the next lesson of the day while Mizuki watched Naruto carefully with that hateful glint in his eye that Naruto was accustomed to from the other adults in the village.
Kivira was watching through Narutos eyes as he went through the lesson paying special attention to the silver haired ninja that was supposedly a instructor but seemed more like one of those other dick headed adults that judged her Naruto at ever pass and turn. She snickered at all the wonderfully tortures things she could do to him and all of the other people that had ridiculed and bashed him. She smiled before calming down and settled down to find something to entertain herself.
"Naruto..." Kivira said in his mind making Naruto jump as he was completely focused on the lesson, and the kids closest to him looked at him before turning back to the front. Naruto just settled back in as the lesson droned on and everyone was paying attention.
"Naruto talk to me... It's boring just sitting in here you know..." she spoke in his mind and Naruto almost spoke back before remembering not to talk out loud and thought back
"Cant you do something around the house? Or go swimming in the lake or something?" Naruto thought back forgetting that she is still inside of him. Kivira went silent after that for awhile and Naruto went back to listening to his lesson. It was maybe a hour later as class was about to wrap up that Kivira started talking again.
"House is clean Naruto-kun now come play with me..." Kivira thought as Naruto tried to remain focused on the lesson. He wasn't very good at splitting his attention yet but had been working on it the last week or so, and with a deep sigh he tried again feeling himself falling into his mind and with a splash hit the lake that always came up to greet him.
"You made it and your still sitting in class, see listen closely..." Kivira said as she put her hands on Narutos eyes forcing darkness to claim his vision. After a moment he heard Iruka still talking and lecturing them and as far as he could tell he was still sitting in class just sorta daydreaming but still paying attention when he was asked a question he gave a response that was sort of right but it was clear he was daydreaming a bit since he missed half the answer.
A eraser hit him upside the head and Iruka told him to pay attention before continuing on with a sigh and Naruto just huffed as Kivira moved her hands away.
"See you almost got it, you just need more time and practice now lets go!" She said before taking his hand and running off into the woods.
With a smile Naruto trailed behind her as they ran around and played tag, or hide and seek always chasing each other back and forth and when that wore Naruto out they returned the house to relax and chat about training and school and what Naruto wanted to achieve in his life.
It was with abruptness that Naruto suddenly saw darkness and then his classroom again only to see Iruka standing over him with a eraser again.
"Naruto, you need to stop daydreaming and head home class is over..." Before he turned and walked away.
Naruto just smiled that he had made it through the class mostly, and booked it home. The rest of that week was spent again continuously practicing on dividing his attention into his mind and class and got better as each day passed. Kivira did everything she could to help him because she desperately needed him to learn before she began training him herself but she also wanted to spend time with him as well so it was a win win in her book, and with any luck it would make driving him insane in his sleep even funner.
The class emptied out as the bell rang and everyone was excited to go home and enjoy the rest of the week, Naruto was the last one out as he caught eyes with teacher and quickly turned away from the glare he was receiving. It had been two weeks now since he had started and already he was starting to hate it because the kids would pretend he wasn't there and the adults just looked at him with anger or disgust when they where within close proximity.
The only good thing about sitting in the back was that once the lessons started they focused on teaching and left him alone for awhile. He smiled at least on that, he had finally been able to sit and listen while talking to Kivira so he wasn't missing anything important and was able enjoy himself a little bit.
And of course since he could bounce between his mind and class while maintaining focus on both he also noticed that he was retaining a lot more of what was going on since his mind absorbed everything going on outside of him while he was in his mind scape he would get a flow of information while in there and then have it reinforced when he came to.
A unintentional advantage he readily used to memorize everything, and it pleased Kivira to see him utilizing every tool available to him to get ahead of everyone around him "If he wants to be the best... that is" she thought as she watched as he started to grow.
Sandual had been watching as Naruto started to show signs of great progression and knew that the Kyuubi had a paw in it someway, although he wasn't entirely sure what yet. He also knew that it was starting to get close to the point he would begin to teach the boy himself, while fulfilling his duty to the Hokage and with a grin he went to go get his lunch.
He had some apprehensions about what he would teach Naruto seeing that he had worked with Minato back when they where in the Academy together and was fairly certain that Naruto was also a wind specialist, and probably had some fire affinity because of the Kyuubi but he wondered if he had anything else.
As the sun set after the first month at the academy had officially passed Naruto was exhausted from all the training the Kyuubi had put him through and was ready to pass out. He had made it to the couch when a knock on his door made him groan and get up. "Whose at my house on a Friday night this late!?" Naruto thought as he walked to the door and opened it, only to jump back as a cloaked figure stormed in swinging at him and with just barely any energy Naruto jumped back. The attacker swung once more before his third swing was caught in Kivira's hand and she smiled as she squeezed.
"That's no way to say hello Sandual, now go have a seat, she said as she released him and he backed up and rubbed his arm where she had squeezed, feeling the bruising starting to form. Naruto just stared at Sandual as his hood fell back and he took a seat on the couch before waving at Naruto. "Hey"
Naruto just deadpanned before sitting on the couch next to him, and asked " why didn't you just come in nicely?"
"Because I wanted to make sure you had improved from my last visit, you have good reflexes now, and its time I begin teaching you." Sandual said as Kivira came in with some tea.
"Your gonna teach Naruto already?" Kivira said surprised that he was already gonna start.
"Yeah, I noticed he has not been wasting any time with your tutelage so I may as well not waste time either..." he said with a sip of his tea before leaning back.
"It's for the best of everyone that he can defend himself and can learn the ways of the world quickly so he can move forward faster then anyone else." Sandual sighed as he felt the late hour start to take hold, "So tomorrow at noon meet me at the training fields and we shall begin some jutsu training, and don't forget to keep doing the physical training that Kivira is putting you through. You need to be very strong in every way to survive in this cruel world."
Naruto just nodded as he drank his tea, and then curled up putting his head in Kiviras lap and fell asleep as sh ran her fingers through his hair. Sandaul just sat and watched a moment before finishing his tea and bidding a good night and retired to his home.
"Tomorrows gonna be a big day for you my precious kit, that man is strong in specialized jutsu and you will be even stronger then he, and then we can leave this place..." Kivira whispered as she kissed his forehead and then carried him to their room before curling around him and falling asleep.

I'm Back and I am truly sorry about my absence, its been non-stop work for the last few months and moving from house to house and now things have settled down and summer is around the corner. I hope to be back on schedule to write and hopefully we can push forward and have a wonderful time together as I get to enjoy writing to my hearts content again.
