Merry Christmas!
When Adam and Sagittarius arrived in the chapel, all the guests were there, including the royals that Henrietta brought. Adam took a deep breath as he followed his cousin up to the priestess. When Adam saw her, he felt some kind of energy coming from her, but this was a special kind of energy. One that he wouldn't feel...unless...Lady Temps was near him. While they were standing in front of the priestess waiting for Belle and Sapphire to come out, Adam looked back at the priestess. She had black hair with a single gray stripe, but what struck Adam in the heart were those gray eyes of hers. They way she looked at him...made him think that without a doubt...the priestess was Lady Temps, in disguise. Adam quickly looked away and turned his attention to the door, where Belle and Sapphire were behind.
"Your highness," Adam heard in his head, it was Lady Temps' voice. "Don't react to this! Yes, I'm the priestess. You and Belle saved our lives, this is the least I could do for the two of you." Adam took another deep breath to calm his nerves, but what he didn't know...and see...is that Lady Temps quietly placed a special charm in his wedding suit and crown. He soon heard the piano playing, everyone stood up and looked at the door as it opened. Adam couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Belle, Sagittarius felt the same when he saw Sapphire.
As for Belle and Sapphire, they were trying hard not to let the many pairs of eyes distract them...and also not to trip on their dresses. Sapphire realized she made the dresses a little too long, but she and Belle successfully reached the platform without falling on their face.
"Who gives these lovely ladies to these men?" The priestess asked.
"I, Maurice Arc-en-ceil, give my daughter, Belle Arc-en-ceil, to Prince Adam Porc-épic Colère."
"I, James Sapin, give my niece, Sapphire Lamaze, to Prince Sagittarius Rainier." Sapphire and Belle gave their bouquets to Maurice and James and gave their hands to Adam and Sagittarius. Maurice sat down next to his wife, in disguise of course, and James sat down next to his daughter, Stephanie. As Sapphire stood in front of Sagittarius and Belle stood in front of Adam, The priestess, Lady Temps, spoke her words. In fact, Lady Temps was doing such a good job of it that every guest was paying attention to her. Before the ceremony, Sagittarius, Sapphire, Adam and Belle decided to speak a few words to each other. Adam was now thankful that it was Lady Temps speaking of tradition and all that.
"My dear Sapphire," Sagittarius whispered, loud enough for Sapphire to hear, but soft enough that Lady Temps couldn't, or so he thought. "I never expected to meet a woman such as you. You helped me get out of the darkness that I never thought I would get out of. You looked passed the red-eyed werewolf and saw the prince that I was. Nothing could express how much I love you."
"I'm the one should be grateful, Sagittarius." Sapphire whispered, "You did more for me than I did for you. You helped me stop hiding myself, even though I was cursed myself. You helped me feel good about myself and, the best part, you didn't treat me like a monster. You treated me like any other women...except for the one that got you into that mess." Sagittarius couldn't express how happy he was and how much love he was feeling, he then looked at Adam and nodded his head. That gave Adam the signal that it was his turn.
"My dear beloved Belle," Adam whispered, "you saved me from a fate far worse than death. You were patient with me whenever I lost my temper. You helped me understand a whole different world, but the most important, you thought me how to love again, after years of my heart being closed off. Thank you for taming the Beast, thank you for teaching me to love again." Belle could feel her neck turning pink as she was getting ready to whisper.
"I never thought I would meet someone like you." Belle whispered, "You're an amazing person, once you let that temper of yours damper down." They both found the humor in that, but they resisted laughing. "I found a gentle soul under your anger. I never thought I would find love, much less marry the person I loved, because people found me strange and odd. You let me stay myself, you never wanted me to change, you were more than my friend. I love you very much, Adam, whether we're in human skin or fur or claws. I would love to have you next to me for the rest of my life." Belle finished her words just in time, Lady Temps had finished her long speech. It was now time for the vows and the rings. Since Sagittarius was the oldest, he and Sapphire went first.
"Sapphire Lamaze," Sagittarius said, "I take you as my wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for better or worse, until death do us part." He then put a gold ring covered in pearls on Sapphire's finger.
"Prince Sagittarius Rainier," Sapphire said, "I take you as my wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for better or worse, until death do us part." She put a gold ring also covered in pearls on Sagittarius' finger. Now it was Adam and Belle's turn, Lady Temps looked at them as they held each other's ring.
"Belle Arc-en-ceil," Adam said, "I take you as my wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for better or worse, until death do us part." He placed a silver ring covered in diamonds on Belle's finger.
"Prince Adam Porc-épic Colère," Belle said, "I take you as my wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for better or worse, until death do us part." She also placed a silver ring covered in diamonds on Adam's finger.
"I now pronounce you four princes and princesses, men and wives." Lady Temps said, "The princes may now kiss the brides." Sapphire grabbed Sagittarius' neck as Belle put her hands on Adam's shoulders. It didn't take long for lips to meet. Belle and Adam hadn't had kiss like this one since their first one, when the spell broke. As for Sagittarius and Sapphire, she didn't want to let go of his neck.
Sadly, the kisses only lasted ten seconds. The two ladies released their kiss as they took their husbands' arms. Sagittarius and Adam felt like they were dreaming as they led their wives back down the aisle and led everyone into the dining room. Everything seemed like a blur to Sagittarius and Adam, including the meal, they couldn't believe that it has finally happened. A year ago, both of them thought they were going to be in fur, darkness and loneliness forever. Now here they were, free, human and sitting next to their wives. After the meal had ended, everyone went into the ballroom.
"Dance with me, Sagittarius!" Sapphire pushed as she brought her husband out to the floor. Sagittarius didn't have any words in the matter, not like he had a choice. It also didn't take Belle long to do the same thing to Adam, he noticed that she dragged him out to the middle of the room. Since Adam didn't have a choice, he put Belle's hand in his own and his other hand on her waist.
"How are you doing?" Belle asked him as they danced.
"Like I'm dreaming." Adam answered.
"Do I need to pinch you to wake you up?" She teased.
"You've never looked this beautiful before." He said, "If you don't count the first time we danced." Belle just giggled to herself as her husband put her into a twirl.
After dancing for ten minutes, the other guests soon went onto the floor to dance as Sagittarius, Sapphire, Adam and Belle vacated the floor. It wasn't long until they ran into Maurice, James, Tintement and Stephanie; all of them had tears in their eyes. Before Belle could predict it, Tintement bear-hugged her and cried her little eyes out.
"Cousin!" Belle manged to say, but she knew that Tintement wasn't going to let go until she felt better.
"You better take good care of her." Maurice told Adam.
"I plan to take much better care than I ever had to her." Adam responded.
"That goes the same with you and my niece." James told Sagittarius.
"Yes, sir." Sagittarius answered.
"Tintement!" Belle pushed as her face started changing color. "You need to let go before I pass out!" Tintement finally released her cousin. Belle almost fell to the ground, but her husband caught her before she did. "You need to stop doing that." Belle said trying to catch her breath.
"I can't help it!" Tintement cried, "My baby cousin is finally married." Now Tintement was starting to embarrass Belle.
"Adam, do you mind that I take my cousin and...?"
"No, go ahead." He answered, "Just don't take too long." Belle smiled and nodded her head.
"Actually," Maurice said, "why doesn't he come along? I also need to talk to him."
"Very well." Adam said as he followed all three of them. When they did get outside the ballroom, they saw Veronica and Lydia in their sorceress forms. The only difference...Lydia was bawling her eyes out to the point that water was coming out of her eyes like fountains. Veronica was holding a little umbrella to keep herself dry.
"Well done, you two." Veronica said.
"Mother!" Adam said as he walked up to Lydia. She finally stopped crying long enough to blow her nose.
"I couldn't control myself." Lydia finally spoke as she bear-hugged her son.
"We're just lucky that's she not in her real size." Veronica said closing her umbrella.
"You two are the reason we're out here, huh?" Belle asked crossing her arms.
"Yes," Veronica answered as she looked over at Lydia, who was still hugging her son. "Here I thought I was bad during the wedding."
"We both were, dear." Maurice said, "Anyway, we're just happy that the two of you are finally married."
"You just brought me out here to calm my mother down." Adam teased as he hugged his mother back. "Mother, please, you'll ruin the suit and I have to give Belle her wedding present." Lydia finally released Adam and blew her nose in a tissue.
"Adam...there is something we should tell...your mother, my father and Tintement." Belle said.
"Don't you mean all of us, cousin?" Tintement asked.
"No, because my mother weaseled it out of me." Belle said as she looked at her mother, who had a sneaky look on her face.
"Okay," Lydia said as she sniffled, "what do the two of us have to tell us?" Belle's face turned red as Adam stood next to her.
"I'm pregnant." Belle answered, just then, Lydia pounced on Belle and bear-hugged her. Tintement did the same thing to Adam and Maurice couldn't believe his ears.
"I wish good things to the three of you!" Lydia said.
"Lady Lydia, please let go." Belle said, "I already almost fainted because my cousin crushed me." Lydia quickly released Belle before she passed out again.
"Look you two, get back in there before they start getting worried." Lydia pushed as she tried to calm down.
"Not just yet," Adam said, "I still need to give Belle her wedding gift."
"And I need to give Adam his." Belle said, Adam was a little surprised that she had a wedding gift for him. First, the two of them went upstairs to Belle's room. When she walked in, the room was bare of Belle's old things. She probably thought they were moved into Adam's room, but there was one thing that was still there...and it was her bed. Belle went over to the bed, moved the mattress and pulled something out. Adam saw it was a square-shaped gift that was in Belle's hands.
"This isn't much." She said as she handed the gift to him, "but I thought it was the best thing that could represent our story." Adam gently took the gift out of his wife's hands and opened it. It was a hard-back book with a red rose on the cover, but when he opened the book, the pages were blank. "I thought we could write our own story." Belle said, hoping that Adam liked the gift. Adam didn't say anything, he just smiled and hugged his wife.
"It's a wonderful gift, my dear." Adam finally said, Belle smiled as she hugged her husband back. "Come with me, I have to give you your gift." Adam led Belle by his hand. Belle was wondering what his gift might be, but considering where they are going, whatever it is, it's in Adam's room.
"What must you show me that we have to go up here?" Belle asked as they reached Adam's room.
"It's a surprise." Adam answered, "now close your eyes." Belle gave him a skeptical look. "My dear wife, either you close your eyes or I'll blindfold you." Since Belle could tell that Adam was being serious, she closed her eyes. She felt Adam grab her hands and lead her inside, she couldn't help but wonder what he had in store. As she was being led, she realized that they were going much farther than the balcony. Just then, she heard a door open and felt Adam leading her in the new room. "Okay," he said, "open your eyes." Belle opened her eyes, she couldn't believe what she was seeing, she really couldn't.
Belle recognized the room as the room that Forte was kept in, but it was no longer dark, dusty and full of organ pipes. It was now turned into a baby room, fully furnished with toys, a crib and Belle's mother's rocking chair. Everything was decorated in dark blue, lavender and rose-red colors, Belle was really speechless as she walked around the room.
"Adam," she said looking at the crib, "h-h-how did you...?"
"I had Rouge help me." He answered, "She helped me clean this place up and paint it, some of these things are items my mother gave me when I was a baby. I brought your mother's rocking chair in here because it felt like it belonged here." Belle smiled as she looked at her mother's rocking chair.
"Mother told me that she would sit in that chair with me in her arms to help me stop crying." Belle said, "She just thought I liked the rocking motion."
"Let's just hope our son or daughter is the same." Adam said walking up to her.
"I still can't believe that you did this." Belle said as a few tears fell from her eyes, messing up her make-up.
"Oh, Belle," Adam said pulling out a handkerchief. "Don't cry, your make-up is running." Belle took the handkerchief and wiped away the tears and wiped off her make-up. She didn't need it anymore.
"Thank you, Adam." Belle said, "This is a wonderful gift!"
"I do have one more thing." Adam said.
"What else could you have done?" She asked, "You gave me this room for the baby, what else is there?"
"Wait here." He said as he went back into the West Wing. Belle went over to her mother's rocking chair, she knew that it won't be long until she's sitting in that chair with her child. Belle sat down in the rocking chair and rocked back and forth, enjoying the moment, thinking about when her child's in her arms. Even though she would love her child unconditionally, Belle really hoped that she was carrying a daughter. "Somebody is enjoying the moment." Belle heard Adam say, she got up and saw him holding a red box with a white ribbon. He put the box in Belle's hands and waited for her reaction. Belle removed the ribbon, opened the box and pulled a dress out. This dress was wine-red color with a white stripe down the middle of the dress, a magenta-colored ribbon in the back and white frills on the ends of the sleeves. There was also a pearl necklace inside the box with a rose in the center of the necklace.
"Adam, what is this made of? It's so soft."
"Silk," Adam answered, "I had to use red dye for the red."
"Wait," she said, "you made this...all by yourself?"
"I'm a moth sorcerer, my sweet. I can make silk with my bare hands." Adam answered, Belle got so excited about the room and dress that she forgot that little detail.
"That's right, you do." She said, "Thank you for my gifts, Adam, but I think it's time for us to go back downstairs before there's a search party in our own home." Adam smiled and nodded his head, Belle placed her new dress on her mother's rocking chair and Adam and her went back downstairs.
The celebration continued as the rest of the day went on. While Belle and Adam were giving their wedding gifts to each other, Sagittarius and Sapphire gave each other theirs. Sagittarius made a glass hair piece for Sapphire's blood-red hair and Sapphire made leather straps for Sagittarius' books, out of his father's worn-out shoes. Sagittarius and Sapphire also surprised Adam and Belle with gifts from them: Sapphire fixed Belle's golden gown that Karlitis destroyed and Sagittarius gave Adam his own bow and arrows to practice his archery with. The guests weren't going to leave until the next day because of how much fun and excitement they had today. While everyone was still enjoying themselves in the ballroom, Adam and Belle snuck away one more time and went out onto Adam's private rose garden.
"Did you know that when I first took you out to the ballroom balcony," Adam said, "I was going to reveal my love towards you?"
"No," Belle answered, "I didn't." That's when she started flash-backing to the night she left Adam and the mob was going to kill him. "I wished you did. You wouldn't have been...killed...in front of me."
"Yes," he said, "if I had, things would've been much different, but it all turned out okay in the end."
"Not just for you and me," she said, "there's the servants, your cousin and Sapphire and, probably the best thing for us to know, our mothers. I really didn't think I would have my mother at our wedding."
"I didn't think my mother would be here," Adam added, "I really didn't think I would ever see this day...or the day I would have human skin again." belle raised her hand and touched his right cheek.
"I know there are things that happened in our past that made us doubt our future," Belle said, "but we have to make sure...that they don't get into the way of our lives, just like...how you helped me when Anton attacked me." When Adam heard his name again, he made a growl in his throat. He didn't know he made it, but Belle noticed it. She knew that Adam was just being his protective self whenever he heard Anton and Gaston's names.
"Not only did I have my curse get in the way of my life," he said calmly, "I did have the horrible ways my father treated me. You know, I'm actually glad he's dead because if he wasn't...he wouldn't let me have you as my wife."
"If he brings you that much anger in you, then don't think about him." Belle said, "He doesn't have to control yours or your mother's life anymore."
"Just like I would never control yours, my dear." Adam said, grabbing his wife by her waist. Belle smiled as she gently grabbed her husband's neck collar. They had their lips touch the same time the sun touched the land as it sat behind the clouds.
When they did kiss that time, the magical animals inside them came out. Adam was transforming into his butterfly form as Belle was transforming into her deer form. They noticed it, but they didn't care at the moment because, they didn't know at the moment, there were special charms inside their wedding clothes that wouldn't let their clothes get ruined because they transformed. As they continued to kiss, the magic was making the roses go into full bloom and butterflies flew around them and rested on some of the roses. After they parted, they didn't care if someone was looking for them; they decided to dance to the music in the ballroom.
"Who knew you could dance even though your feet are now hooves, my sweet?" Adam said staring into Belle's eyes.
"You're a better dancer when your wings are open." Belle said. Adam grabbed his wife's deer waist spun her around and kissed her once again.
This is the end, readers. I'll be taking a break from writing to work out the next story to this, but keep your eyes open because I'll be writing another story 'The Werewolf and the Hidden Face'. This is the story how Sagittarius and Sapphire met.
