NOBODY'S POV
Jack figured that Kim could use some time alone since he had been pretty overprotective the past few weeks. And it was only 7:45 PM. Her house was only five minutes away. "Alright. Bye Jack!" Kim waved goodbye to the brunette boy. "I'll pick you up tomorrow for school. See you then!" Jack said. Kim gave him one last smile and then left the beach. Jack walked the opposite direction to get to his car.
Kim reached the end of the beach and walked on the sidewalk. She missed not being scared for her life. Jack really changed her. In a good way. She was stronger and more postive. Even after everything she had been through. She admired the beauty of the night as she strolled along the path. Then she heard footsteps behind her. She stopped walking. And then turned around. But there was nobody.
She shrugged it off and kept walking when she heard the footsteps again. Okay... This is usually when the girl in the movie gets kidnapped... Be calm, Kim. Be calm. Don't turn around or he will be right behind you. Kim ignored the footsteps and kept walking, a little bit faster. She was almost to her neighborhood when a hand suddenly clamped her mouth. She tried to scream but all she let out was muffled cries of help that were no use. That's when she started seeing black spots and then she was out.
Kim awoke in a dark room. More like a celler. She was confused and puzzled as to where she was. Then the memories from before started to file into her mind. She remembered that she was walking home and then everything was a blur. She looked around to see if there was anything else in the dark room. All she saw was darkness. She got up and walked to the wall and tried to find the door.
When she finally found it, there was no doorknob. What kind of door doesn't have a doorknob?! She sighed. She didn't know where she. She didn't know why she was there. All she knew was that she wanted to go home. The door suddenly opened and Kim squinted at the bright light that was let into the room. A man with a mask covering his face walked in. "Why hello there, Kimberly." He said. Kim shivered at his deep, low voice.
"Jude may have been convinced that Jackson didn't kill our daughter. But I am not. And it is more important that I get convinced. Which will not happen. We might let you go. You may not be alive for that long though. But all we want is for your little hero to come save you. So we can see the pain in his face. The same pain we felt when we lost our loved one." He said menacingly.
Then it hit Kim. This was Jude's father. And he wanted to torture Kim because he thinks Jack killed Jennifer. He wanted to kill her to see the pain in Jack's face. She figured it out. Thats why she was there. "CARSON!" He yelled, clapping his hands while walking out. Another figure walked into the room. He closed the door as Jude's father walked out. Kim started to feel scared.
"Why hello, there blondie. You can't see me but I can see you. It's good being a vampire who can see in the dark." He said. Kim could feel him coming closer. She walked backwards as he came closer. She kept going backwards, not knowing what to do until she hit the wall. Carson reached out to her and touched her arm. That's when Kim sprung to action and ran across the room. Carson chuckled. "You may be forgetting that I have vampire speed." He said.
Carson pinned Kim's arms above her head and smashed his lips fiercely onto hers. He took them away after a few minutes, when Kim really needed air. She was coughing because she couldn't breathe for that long. "I'll go further every time I come." He said. "Jack is going to come. He is going to save me. You people are mentally ill for thinking he killed Jennifer!" Kim responded, bravely. Her braveness didn't last long though because it earned a slap from Carson.
The sound of abuse echoed through the walls. He had slapped her so hard that her head flung to the side and had hit the wall. "Never talk back to me. Ever." Carson said calmly, yet dangerously. He then walked to the door and banged on it. "OPEN UP!" He shouted. The door opened and he walked out. The door closed and Kim heard them locking it.
She stared at the dark outline of the door. It was her only source of an exit. There were no windows. She could barely see a thing. She was NOT going to get out by herself. And even if she somehow managed to get out of the cell, there would be a bunch of vampires outside waiting to beat her up and throw her back in. Maybe even kill her.
Kim slid down the wall and sat on the ground. She pulled her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. She just sat there, wondering when she would get out. But she didn't cry. She was done with that. She was strong. Not that crying made people weak, but she didn't like crying. She just wasn't going to do it anymore. That's that.
WITH JACK
Jack pulled up in his car to Kim's driveway. He honked the horn. He waited for about two minutes before honking it again. He waited another two minutes and Kim didn't come out. Jack took out his cell phone and called her. No answer. He suddenly got worried. He got out of the car, walked to the front door and turned the doorknob. Unlocked. He opened the door and walked in. "Kim?" He called out. No answer. He walked to the kitchen. There was a note on the table.
Try to find your precious little blondie, Jackson. She is probably in her dark room crying for help right now. The race starts now. Let's just say, we are not in Hillside Crescent. We are somewhere in Lakeburrow. Good luck.
Hint: Warehouse.
Jack's eyes widened at the note. He took it with him and sprinted to his car. Forget school! He needed to find Kim! He started the engine and began his trip to Lakeburrow, a city that is about half an hour away from Hillside Crescent. Jack was going extra fast, screw the law!
He got to Lakeburrow and began to think. There was only one abandoned warehouse in Lakeburrow and it was on the other side of the town. He drove to the end of the town and went down the old path. There, he saw the abandoned building. Old, rusty and full of dust. He quickly got out of the car and went to the entrance to find another note. It was a sort of clue. They were sending him on a scavenger hunt! Oh they are going to get it...
When you want to eat food,
With someone not rude,
You go to a park,
Where the dogs like to bark,
You go on a picnic,
In the old rusty Scantalic.
Scantalic! That was the park where Jack's family and the Martins went on picnics! It was taken down in 1809 and there is an amusement park in its place. Jack was nervous. And also very worried. He took out his phone and dialed Nick's number. He waited until his brother picked up. "Nick? Kim was kidnapped. I'm in Lakeburrow right now. Meet me at the Scantalic and I'll explain everything." Jack said.
