After spending two days at the hospital and after the events that went down, things at the office calmed down. The hectic week ended but there were still a few lose ends that needed to be tied. Starting with the board of director's meeting, for instance.

Anna had been discharged from the hospital first, a day before Elsa. When they were both finally allowed to leave, Ygrette came by to offer them a ride back to the apartment and despite their insistence on wanting to go straight into the office, the older girl eventually convinced them and dropped them off at home.

"I suppose we do deserve taking some days off." Anna said as they settled into the apartment.

Everything seemed so different even though nothing changed but they both figured that was normal considering things had a tendency to feel that way, especially after a traumatic event. They had both gone through it. It was one of those life changing moments that were painful to go through but in the end it felt like a blessing to be able to come out of alive. That wasn't the most important part, however - for any of them. Sure, they cared about their own wellbeing but having to see the person they cared about the most being put in danger certainly made them appreciate the other even more so. They had to hold on to each other as much as they could. And oh had Anna tried. All she wanted to do while at the hospital was be next to Elsa but she soon learned that no matter how persistent she could be towards the nurses, she wouldn't get her way.

But now they were together once again, with no distractions save for a few injured limbs. It was hard to see Elsa that way. She was too precious to receive a bullet but at least it wasn't a major incident. Thinking about it just made her angrier at the whole situation. Elsa must have noticed her scrunched up, "in-thought" face because it didn't take long for her to reach for Anna's hand with her own.

"What's wrong?" She asked and Anna quickly gave her her attention. She was tired, they both were. As much as Anna like spontaneity, being out of routine for three days had definitely taken a toll on them and it was apparent on Elsa's face. She looked paler than usual, as if her worries were still bothering her; distracting her.

"I'm just thinking," she leaned back into the couch, resting her head on Elsa's uninjured shoulder.

"What about?"

"Well, you know? It's just-" she sighed. "It's hard to believe we went through that and made it out alive."

Elsa ran circles on the back of Anna's hand. She desperately wanted to console her and caress her but her cast wouldn't allow it and their current position made it almost impossible. "I wouldn't be able to live with myself if he'd done something to you."

"Nor I you."

"No. You don't understand. I-" Elsa swallowed. "I know that what I'm about to say might not be what you want to hear but-"

"But what? Elsa you're scaring me..." Anna lifted her head to look straight into the blonde's eyes.

"That's where I'm getting at." Elsa's serious, determined demeanor made Anna all the more scared.

"Don't..." she started, "don't tell me you're one of those people who feels guilty for putting their loved ones at risk and decide that distancing themselves is the best idea. Because it's not. It really isn't, Elsa. Please. Please, don't tell me that."

Elsa stared back at her for a few seconds, emotionless and contemplating. To Anna, it felt like hours. Like all her world could come crashing down at the orders of the girl sitting next to her. And she was powerless because who was she to refuse Elsa after all they'd been through? For a brief moment she was sad, upset even. Why would Elsa think that separating themselves would be a good idea? That moment lasted only a short while because the more Elsa remained silent, the more she was allowed to indulge in her own thoughts and ideas. Sadness turned to anger because how dare she? How dare she decide what their fate would be? But that eternity was only a mere few seconds and the emotions dissipated once Elsa let out an uncontrollable laughter and Anna was even more taken aback.

"I'm- I'm sorry I just wanted to see your reaction. Of course I wouldn't leave you, Anna. I love you and you are honestly everything to me right now."

Anna squinted her eyes and pretended to be mad at the blonde. "You know? If you weren't in this condition I would totally hit you right now."

Elsa raised her palm, asking for permission to continue talking. "I didn't finish what I was going to say. Like I said, you might not like it because, well... After what happened it feels like I took you for granted. It wasn't that way but it certainly felt as such, especially now that there is nothing I want more than you."

Anna nodded, "I think I understand. I feel the same way. I didn't know someone could mean as much to me as you do and it's incredible. It really is." She leaned back once again on Elsa and the blonde planted a kiss on the girl's head.

"You should call your parents. Don't make them any more worried."

"You're right. I will eventually, but right now I just want to be here with you. How are you feeling?"

Letting out a small chuckle, the blonde replied. "I can't complain after all that's happened. I feel a bit uneasy not having much to do in the next few days though."

Making sure Elsa had a perfect view of her face, Anna repositioned herself and winked at the blonde. "Oh, I'll give you something to do alright."

A laugh. "I'm sure you will."

"And I'm sure you already have some ideas of what your life will be like now that your father's not with us and it's just you and your sister, right?" Elsa nodded and let out a small smile. "What's next Elsa Arendelle?"

"You'll see, and I think you'll be surprised."

There seemed to be much more security around the office but after the events that happen, it all made sense. For Elsa, it felt good to finally have dealt with the expectancy of being attacked that had tormented her for the past month. Hans had not gotten what he deserved but at least he was no longer a threat. She did wonder, however, if the two board members who had asked Ygrette to step down would still consider that an appropriate choice of action.

The meeting would start in a few minutes and Elsa and Anna wondered if it would all be too much to have to step back into the conference room but, as if reading their mind, Ygrette reaffirmed them that the meeting would take place elsewhere as said conference room was practically a crime scene.

As they ascended up the elevator, Anna couldn't help but find the situation a bit comical. Elsa, with an injured shoulder protected by cast, and Ygrette pushing Anna's wheelchair. It was like a scene pulled out of a cartoon as the elevator doors opened. People stared at them, perhaps amazed at how quickly they were willing to come back to the location where they had fallen victims to a power hungry psychopath. Beatrice appeared to be faring well. She approached the group of girls with a huge smile on her face, obviously glad to see them. And it was good to see her too, the whole event had been too traumatic for her.

"Beatrice," Elsa half nodded but it was Anna who portrayed all the excitement.

"Beatrice!" She quickly rolled herself towards the girl. "Are you okay? I know it was all too much for you and I'm sorry for not being of much help that day but I see you've recovered. Ugh, I am so so-"

"Anna, please," the girl cut her off. "I am the one who you have to worry the least about. I mean look at you." She gestured towards the redhead.

Elsa laughed and shook her head. "She just likes taking care of people, that's all but we we're both glad you're okay."

"How's the arm?" Beatrice asked.

"Let's just say that there are more important matters at hand. Are all the board members here?"

"We were just waiting for you two."

Ygrette took the lead this time and led them to the meeting. Anna decided to stay behind with Beatrice, seeing as she really had no place in that meeting. It was all really bad as it was. A stranger's presence would just raise more eyebrows.

Four weeks prior, when all she was worrying about was trying to pass her finals, Anna wouldn't have imagined that she'd be sitting there today in Arandelle Corp., one of the biggest companies in the city, waiting for Elsa, her girlfriend, to get out of a meeting. Four months ago, she also wouldn't have imagined she would be calling Elsa her girlfriend. To say she was proud of her would be an understatement. Anna never gave it much thought because she knew Elsa was capable of anything. There was nothing that girl couldn't do, well maybe cook. But she was so young... She was so young and she had already achieved so much. The way she handled stressful situations, particularly the last week, had been exceptional. Elsa was truly one of a kind and she already had more to her name than the majority of people her age. Anna had clearly won the lottery and she finally really understood what Elsa was trying to tell her earlier about having taken her for granted. She not only understood, she also agreed. After everything that happened they were beginning to see each other in a new light. It was like being aware of having silver and then realizing it was pure gold all along. Elsa was definitely her gold.

The room was quickly silenced and everyone straightened themselves on their seats as the Arendelle sisters entered the room. It felt good to have that kind of power over people, even if it might be taken away with a simple decision.

"Sorry about the wait. As you all know, my sister and two others were victims of an attack in these premises but please, don't take it as an excuse. The least we could do is be patient for a few minutes." Ygrette spoke. No on else said anything but there were a few throw of glances here and there as well as some clearing of throats.

It was Elsa's turn to speak. "The reason for the impromptu meeting is none other than the topic about the highest position in the company. After my father's death we all assumed that Ygrette would be the one to step into his shoes. Of course some of you have raised concerns and have suggested that she steps down." She threw a few look towards the men. "But, I am sure that many of you, like myself, agree that Ygrette deserves to be the chief executive officer. She is, after all, more than familiar with the day to day operations of everything that goes on around here. Who better than her to hold that position?"

A few more seconds of silence and a few murmurs here and there. "Ms. Arendelle. Well, both of you. I'm sure some of us agree with what you've just said but we can't rule out the possibility of having someone better on the job."

"That's what we thought you'd say. Hence the meeting." Ygrette added.

"You'll have the liberty to choose, obviously. We just needed to put our thoughts out there. Yes, my sister may be young but don't forget my father was even younger when he started all this. Whatever decision you reach, we will respect." Elsa had never sounded more sure of herself before. Despite the fact, she could still see the doubt behind most of the members' faces but it was logical. Those people were greedy and conservative, all they cared about was money. Perhaps there was a way to make them see...

"Yes, we do need to reconvene and make a decision." Another man spoke.

"As expected. Let's meet after lunch and we'll discuss the final details." Ygrette was the first to stand and leave the room, Elsa followed.

Both Elsa and Ygrette sat in the older girl's office after the meeting. Ygrette seemed a bit upset after the lack of resolution the board of directors had shown. Yes, they thought Ygrette made a suitable CEO but they also argued that having someone more experienced was less risky. As they exited the room and walked back to the office, Elsa informed her that the two board members probably managed to get to the rest.

"Old men's decisions, huh?" Ygrette broke the silence as they both sat.

"I just don't see why they don't want you as CEO. I mean, you've practically grown in these walls. Father raised you for this reason."

Ygrette looked down at her desk, absent-mindedly. "Well, I suppose that whatever he wanted won't be what will happen in this case."

"I never took you for one to give up so easily?" Elsa challenged.

"And I never thought you'd be the one encouraging me but, look. They will vote and I can't do anything about that."

"Actually," Elsa started. "I have a proposal."

Ygrette raised an eyebrow. "Do go on."

"I'm giving up my 25% of shares. That means you will receive them as per the will so no matter what decision they take you'll have the ultimate veto power."

Ygrette nodded. "Okay, and what do you want in return?"

"Nothing, really."

"Elsa, that's hardly a proposal."

"Call it an offer then. I know I'm giving up a lot but... This is not what I want. This was father's legacy, and yours. I want to make my own."

"I understand. And you will. You definitely will. Now let's go shut them up."

Elsa's serious expression changed into a smile. "At least let them reach a decision, then you can brag all you want."

While she was in fact bored, Anna couldn't believe the meeting had actually been quite short. Elsa found her eventually and the two girls decided it was time to go grab some lunch seeing as there no longer was a need for their presence in the office. Besides, they had some catching up to do on themselves.

"You look..." Anna tried to look for the correct word to say, "happy?" She wasn't sure whether that was the best way to put it.

They were sitting in a booth table at a random restaurant they spotted not too far from Arendelle Corp. Anna had noticed the shift in not only Elsa's mood since they entered the office earlier that morning, but also in her body language. She hadn't stopped smiling ever since. There was something about her.

"I am," Elsa locked eyes with her and smiled. Her blue eyes darted down to Anna's lips for a quick second. Before Anna had a chance to say anything else, Elsa removed the distance between the two and planted a kiss on the redhead's lips.

"Umm..." Anna started once Elsa sat back and did nothing but smiled at her. There was definitely something up with the blonde. She wasn't usually that spontaneous or that... romantic? "Not that I mind your kisses or anything, in fact, let's come back to that in a little bit but-" Elsa seemed to only be staring at her with admiration. "Is there a reason for your extremely good mood today?"

Elsa tried to hold back a laughter by hiding her smile behind the palm of her hand. She looked so different, worry-free. It was nice to see her that way, especially for Anna. She didn't know but she felt like she'd fallen more in love with her then and there, especially after all that had happened. It was like meeting a completely different version of Elsa, a more natural form. One side she had yet to see from her and she loved it. But she still couldn't decipher why Elsa was particularly cheery that day. Cheery and spontaneous.

"You mean aside from you?" Anna, who now had a huge grin on her face, nodded. "It's been a tough week and it's finally over."

"I have a feeling that's not it, though." The redhead wiggled her eyebrows at the blonde.

"You're right. While you are the main reason for my happiness, I also feel like everything's finally falling into place." Elsa held on to Anna's hand.

The redhead took a sip from her drink, "How so?"

"Well, for starters Hans is taken care of and you're okay," She started using her fingers as a way to count. "I guess it's just the fact that everything seems to have gone back to normal."

"Well yeah but some things will be different, right? I mean your dad not being here actually changes things."

"For Ygrette, maybe."

"Mhm." Anna was intrigued. "I take it the meeting went well?"

"Let's just say that the board members won't be giving Ygrette any trouble."

"Why's that?" It was starting to become particularly hard for Anna to pay attention as Elsa was now running her fingers on the redhead's hair. She wanted nothing more than to go home immediately.

"I'm giving her my share of the company. She'll own 51% and can overrule whatever decision they take."

"What about you though? I'm guessing you want no part in all that?"

Elsa thought about it. She stared into space for a few seconds before she managed a response. "I just feel like that's not me. It's not what I want and it would definitely keep me away from you most of the time." Another kiss. "Besides, I'm loaded. I have more money than I know what to do with and I'd rather just start from scratch."

Anna looked at her in awe and laughed. "You know what? I'm not even that hungry. Let's just go home. I'm dying to try this new side of you." She winked.

"I'll call the driver."

AN: short/late chapter guys. Just one more final to go and I'll be able to write more. I've decided that there will be 45 chapters in total and there will be various time skips in them. Expect a lot of fluff.
