Hello! I am alive, just had a few busy days due to my baby nephew, revival services, and I was sick. The joys of humanity right?

Also…I can neither confirm nor deny that I had a couple days while I was sick that I took the time and instead if writing I had a Danny Phantom marathon of all three seasons.

Ok! Hurt!Bunny continues!

The blue glow started in Jack's eyes, crackling like azure lightening, before slowly spreading to his head and down his limbs all the way to his fingertips. The wind around him picked up until it was whipped into a crazy frenzy, and Jack hovered in midair, his hands already holding his staff in a battle stance out in front of him. Aster lay on the floor, his eyes fluttering as he struggled to remain conscious, but soon lost the battle, and his body went limp on the floor as he drifted off into oblivion.

Jack sent one crackling venomous glare to the chains that bound his friend, and his snowy white teeth gnashed in anger at the abuse suffered by the Easter spirit. Whirling back to face Orion, Jack boomed in a voice overflowing with enraged power "Prepare yourself Orion, because here I come!"

In a flash, the glowing blue figure slammed into the constellation, an explosion of power booming like thunder, shaking the very foundation of the castle. Driving his enemy upward, Jack hurled the hunter through the ceiling of the dungeon, up into the throne room above. With a more spacious battle ground, the winter sprite sent a wicked grin full of violent intent to his enemy, and casually cracked his neck.

"What princess," Jack taunted with a laugh "not going to fight back? You'd better defend yourself, because I have a lot of misplaced frustration I need to take out on your sorry hide."

Orion however, was not amused.

"You think you can beat me, child?" he growled.

"No," Jack replied, his grin becoming a sneer "a pathetic piece of garbage like you, I know I can."

Orion gave a low chuckle, his cobalt eyes twitching with insanity "Then why don't you come and prove it," he hissed as he slowly drew his sword "or are you wishing to become my new pet too?"

"Psychotic creep!"

Jack sprinted forward, holding his staff above his head, ducking Orion's first attack and giving a broad sweep with the staff knocking the hunter's legs out from under him, but Orion was too good for that trick to work. Tucking his arms underneath his head, the hunter used them to spring back onto his feet right as he hit the floor. Striding forward, Orion lunged at Jack, his sword cutting through the air making it whistle with the speed of his arm. Jack barely avoided the razor blade slices, his eyes widening as he watched a swatch of white hair flutter away, his heart hammering in his chest as he realized once again how strong a fighter the hunter was. Stumbling backwards, the winter spirit twirled his staff in the style of the ancient Celtics. Closing his eyes, Jack focused on the image of his adopted brother, how pitiful and beaten the rabbit had appeared chained up in his cell.

Immediately the child felt his blood rise, and keeping that image firmly in the forefront of his mind, Jack allowed himself to fall into what the Celtics called the Berserker. Everything melted away, and a red haze fell over his eyes. With a roar of outrage the winter child dove forward and began to pummel Orion with his staff. Slamming the hunter to the floor by hitting him across the face with the hook, Orion barely rolled out of the way in time to avoid the dangerous piece of wood. Scrambling to his feet, the constellation used his sword to block Jack's staff, the two causing sparks as the energies collided.

Teeth grating together with the effort it took to hold off the sprite, Orion snarled "You…insolent…little…BRAT!"

Jack didn't answer, didn't even cry out in pain when he was knocked to the floor, so deep was he in the Berserker that his only focus was on his opponent. With a feral snarl, the white haired teen ran across the floor, swinging his staff up from the floor up in the attempt to connect with Orion's chin. Seeing the attack hurtling towards his head, the hunter grabbed the hook of the staff and jerked it towards himself, punching Jack with an explosion of magical energy when he flew at him. The frost child hit the slick marble floor, bouncing from the force that had knocked him there, and skidded to a stop until he lay prone on the floor.

"JACK!" Pitch screamed as he darted into the throne room and knelt next to the fallen winter spirit.

"…Pitch…?"

"Easy Jack," the Boogeyman growled "I'll handle this neophyte."

Diving forward, Pitch hit Orion with rabbit style punches, making sure to target all the pressure points on the constellation's body. The two traded blows, each blocking, and each landing separate punches before Orion swung his sword in a wide sweep and sliced Pitch on the side causing the Boogeyman to fall to the floor crying out in pain

Materializing his death scythe, the dark specter rose, and stepped toward Orion swinging the blade forcing the hunter to defend. Just as Orion raised his sword, Pitch melted into the shadows, disappearing right before the swing. The Hunter stumbled forward as his sword sliced through nothing but air while Pitch reappeared behind Orion. With an evil grin and a twitch of his hands, the specter created a baseball bat, and smacked the constellation across the back of the skull. Orion felt his eyes roll back, and he crumpled to his knees before slumping to the floor.

"Wow," Jack croaked as he slowly picked himself off the floor, rubbing his throbbing face "you took care of Orion is half the time it took him to knock me out."

"What?" Pitch laughed "Did you honestly think that you were the only one who had practice sparring sessions with Bunny in the dojo?"

Jack gave a humorless smile, but his eyes were serious as the two jumped up to get the Easter spirit in question.

Sliding down the rubble in the hole leading up from the dungeons that he had created, Jack scrambled through the dirt, skidding to a stop next to Aster "Bunny," he whispered giving the Pooka a gentle shake "come on Kangaroo, show me that you're ok."

Slowly Bunny regained consciousness, his eyelids fluttering as a pained whine whispered from his lips "F-Fro-stbite…?" he slurred "are ya…a dream?"

"Trust me rabbit," Pitch said in an almost comforting tone as he knelt next to Jack "if you were having a dream about both me and the frost brat, odds are is that it's a nightmare."

A laugh shook Aster's frame but it was quickly followed by a small whimper, making Jack pat the rabbit's nose comfortingly "Hey Pitch," the winter spirit asked quietly "could you cut the chain with your scythe?"

Pitch gave a short nod, and made his scythe, cutting the chain with one slice. Jack gathered Bunny into his arms, frosting over any and all bleeding injuries, while simultaneously checking over the rabbit's condition. Rejoining Jack, Pitch cast an experienced gaze over the Pooka's frame, and gave a sorrowful sigh.

"His leg and hip are severely broken," Pitch murmured softly as he outlined the particular broken bones with an index finger "I'm going to need you to make a temporary cast out of ice while I hold his leg still."

It was Jack's turn to nod this time, casting an uneasy glance to where Bunny laid breathing in labored gasps. Pitch grasped Aster's leg in gentle yet firm hands, wincing as the Pooka loosed a strangled cry of pain. Jack bit his bottom lip, his eyes watering up as he listened to his adopted brother try to stifle his sobs while Pitch worked the bones into their proper positions. Finally after what felt like an eternity the two got to work on creating the cast itself, each murmuring soft words of comfort or reassurance to the battered figure that was shivering on the floor. Jack worked as quickly as he could, his hands moving back forth as he wove the strands of ice magic into a leg cast that covered the Pooka's hip, until he was able to breathe a sigh of relief that the job was over.

"Alright," the Boogeyman nodded patting Jack on the shoulder in an unspoken 'well done', "I'm going to make a stretcher to carry Bunny on, you take my globe and prepare to head to the Pole."

"Right," Jack nodded.

"H-Hey Jackie,"

The boy turned at the soft voice, his wide blue eyes turning to Aster as his mouth split into a wide smile "Hey Kangaroo!"

The emerald gaze fell to the floor, buck teeth capturing his bottom lip before the rabbit was able to answer "I-I think you should…l-l-leave me here…I'm done for. There is n-no cure for the p-poison."

"We're NOT leaving you here!" Jack said emphatically.

"Jack," Bunny replied seriously as he felt tears sting his eyes "the poison, it k-kills…hope. It makes a person d-die from their f-fears. Any courage you h-have, or h-hope, the poison d-destroys that, and all that is l-left is fear. I'm as g-good as d-dead."

"That's not true," Pitch grunted from he sat molding sand together into a stretcher "if you have enough people there to keep you strong, then you can outlast the poison."

Bunny felt hope burst in his chest, only to be attacked by the poison, but this time the light was not extinguished so quickly "R-really?"

"Yes,"

"See Kangaroo," Jack said softly as he patted the rabbit comfortingly "it's not hopeless, we'll be there for you every step of the way, just like we were when you were turned human…well, minus Pitch of course… but he's here for ya now!"

Bunny felt another laugh jerk his shoulders, and with a heave of effort, lifted his head to place it into Jack's lap. The winter spirit chuckled, stroking Bunny's head and ears, smiling when the sigh of contentment came from the fatigued Pooka who eventually slipped into a deep peaceful sleep. Pitch came over with the stretcher in hand, a small smile at the scene.

"This is exactly what he needs in order to conquer the poison," Pitch nodded "the positive energy from friends will give him the strength he will require to survive."

"Then that is exactly what he's going to get," Jack grinned "come on, let's get him home and away from this psychotic place."

"Agreed," The Boogeyman sighed "to be perfectly honest, the shock collar is stepping over the line from evil to utterly despicable."

As the two gently shifted the sleeping rabbit onto the stretcher, Jack nodded vigorously "I couldn't have said it better myself pal."

Sorry for the short chapter, but I hoped ya enjoyed it!
