Chapter 6: Snatched Away Freedom

"Little eggplant…"

"Stop calling me with that stupid name, Kuso jiji…"

The taller man laughed loudly at the small boy in front of him. He ruffled the boy shining golden hairs messing it entirely.

"Argh! Stop it! Stop it, old man!" The blonde boy struggled unsuccessfully to move the older man's big and heavy hand.

"I'll do that when you had become a fine grown up, Little Eggplant…" The older man laughed hard before leaving the pouting blonde kid behind. "C'mon, we have to go home now, little eggplant…"

"STOP CALLING ME LIKE THAT, OLD MAN ZEFF!" The blonde kid shouted, though he ended up following the taller blonde man.

"Morning, Sanji kun…"

The fine blonde gentleman showed his best smile to the tangerine haired girl that just entered his kitchen. "Morning, Nami san… I'm so lucky to meet a beautiful goddess this early in the morning…"

Nami giggled hearing the blonde chef flirt. Hearing Sanji's flirt every time she met him had become a habit that she knew the head chef was just merely being his true self. A hardcore womanizer…

"Oh… How I hope to have your beautiful smile for myself… Do you want to go out with me this afternoon for a walk, Nami san?" Sanji kneeled in front of the tangerine haired girl. She always wondered how this friend of her could never felt embarrassed of what he always did.

"No, thank you, Sanji kun… And could I take Luffy's breakfast now? He must have already been waiting in impatient right now…" Nami smiled softly turning down her cook friend down.

"What a shame…" The blonde cook did some dramatic move as he took some big plates and put it on the tray that Nami had brought.

"Could you put mine too?" Suddenly a green haired bulky man joined their conversation. The blonde cook eyes immediately turned into a cold glare upon seeing the neighbor king's face. Yes. He would never forget about that face, that eyes, everything about the King just made him remember about the thing he would prefer to forget.

"Just take yours yourself…" Sanji hissed not even care to take a look at the king while he talked. Never. He would never forgive anyone from that country.

"Then excuse me…" The green haired man said with pissed tone but still taking the food in the end. Not so smooth though, as he almost knocked the boiling hot soup pot off the stove. Both Nami and Sanji eyes widen in shock and both immediately trying to prevent the pot from creating unwanted mess in the kitchen.

"Shit! Goddamit! What the hell are you trying to pull off? Some kind of shitty stunt to piss me?! You bastard marimo King!" Sanji cursed nonstop while putting the pot back in the safe position.

After that, Sanji unwillingly prepare the moss haired king's breakfast,—just as much as he hate to serve the king, he hate it more to have his kitchen in mess.

"Thank you, Sanji kun…" The tangerine haired maid smiled sweetly at the blonde cook which Sanji gladly returned happily.

Sanji was just going back to do his usual work of preparing the others' breakfast when he suddenly got a slight tap on his shoulder. He yelped as he turned back and not slightly regretting the fact that he curse right at the moss haired king's face.

"Shit…" Zoro cursed.

The closeness between the green and blonde haired men just became the start of their glaring contest.

"What do you want?!" Sanji hissed, all his words were full of venom and hatred.

Zoro sighed but didn't soften his glare, "Why do you hate me so much? What did I do?" He asked.

Sanji clicked his tongue. He just hated this man so much. The fact that he was the new king of that shitty country was bad enough that he wanted to kick this man's face. His foul mouth worsened his opinion further. And yesterday was the last shot… The fact that… That Luffy love,—no. No! Not love, he just felt curios about this new guy that Luffy mistake it as love… With what Sanji told him yesterday, hopefully it would worsen their relationship—, this bastard King…

"Just say it, you shitty cook! If you kept being like this then how could I know what I did wrongly?!" Zoro exploded seeing the man in front of him just stared hatefully at him.

"Why the hell do you want to know?! It wasn't your damn business!" Sanji shouted back.

Zoro clenched his fist before he slammed the man right into the kitchen's wall. His fist grabbed a handful of the cook's white shirt. "It was my business since soon… Soon…" Zoro's face blushed as his words trailed off.

The blonde cook stared at the king disgustingly, but the man's unfinished sentence kind of curious him. "Soon what?" Sanji asked the man still with hateful tone though.

Zoro sighed before letting the blonde man loose from his death grip. "Just forget it… Maybe you are right… It isn't my business… No matter what, I'll just force him to my country with or without his friend's permission…"

Sanji looked at Zoro's back that started to disappear from his sight. He finally could loosen up a bit, his hand straighten back the crumpled part of his shirt.

"Seriously! Why should everyone from that country had such a barbarian behavior?! And what does his last mumbling meant? With or without his friend's permission? What does it meant?" Sanji thought as his hands skillfully prepared everyone breakfast.

Looking at the man golden eye for some time made his long almost forgotten memory forced it way back to the surface. He could almost smell the salty smell of the sea and heard the roaring thunder of that night storm.

"Just die already you bastard cook!" A man with strange mustache laughed before swinging his enormous blade at the blonde man. It cleanly cut the right leg of the cook.

"NO, ZEFF!" A blonde boy jumped at the man and almost getting cut into half by the blade. Luckily, the man called Zeff was quick enough to pull the boy out of the danger by getting another wound on his arm.

"Serve you right!" The man with the blade barked.

The blonde boy gritted his teeth as he shoved Zeff's hands that were restricting his movement. "WHAT THE HELL! YOU DAMN CRAZY KING!" He shouted as he charged at the glaring like maniac so-called king. The blonde boy would never be able to forget that golden eyes staring coldly and heartlessly at him.

"NO, SANJI!" The blonde man's shout was the last thing the blonde could hear before he lost consciousness.

"Hey, Sanji… You alright?" Sanji jolted up from a sudden hard shake waking him up. He didn't even realize that he was nodding off until this unknown man suddenly woke him up.

"Yeah. Nothing wrong…" Sanji answered rubbing his eyes so he could see clearly who had woke him up only to find the head gardener boy.

"Are you sure you are alright? It's rare to see you nodding off when you are working like that…" Ussop eyes observed Sanji closely, "You look kind of pale and you were struggling in your sleep just now…" Ussop added.

Sanji was thankful for his friend worry over him, it just showed how he was loved and cared here unlike there. But, he shoved the tan boy aside and went back to his position in the kitchen. "Nothing to worry about, Ussop. Just bad dream… I have to go back to the kitchen now if you will excuse me" Sanji said though he left the dark haired teen alone in the servant dining room before he could say anything to stop Sanji from leaving.

He just couldn't share it to anyone. Yet. One day for sure…

***********OnePieceFanFic** Meli2cm***********

Luffy clutched his blanket tightly like it was the only thing that kept him alive now. It was the second time this week that he didn't feel like leaving his bed room at all. Gratefully, this time Nami let him had his breakfast on the bed (With some difficulties of course…) and she was on his way to bring Luffy's share from the kitchen.

Yesterday was kind of a success. He barely met the older green haired man. Just some quick bumping into each other which ended with Luffy running away every time though. If he kept that act up, his father, Shanks, would sooner or later called him to throne room and started scolding his head off.

"Maybe I could consider Sanji's advice…" Luffy huffed putting his head above his folded arms, "How is it again…" The dark haired boy muttered as his hand moved up to his nose and did the strange pose the blonde chef taught him yesterday. Sanji said it would be able to make his 'sickness' better. Hopefully Sanji wasn't tricking him this time. To be honest, the increased in heart beat, the feeling of butterflies in his stomach, the feeling of tightness in his chest, the hot feeling on his cheek, all those alien feelings weren't to his favor at all. He just wished all of that would stop already…

As he was lost in his thought, a sudden loud knock startled him and woke Luffy up from his short day dream. "Come in…" Luffy said already knew that it was his maid, Nami. Though, he never expected to have another guest this early in the morning.

"Wha—?! Why?" Luffy gasped, his mouth opened and closed like those fish in the tank when they were gasping for air in the water.

Nami walked inside indifferently to his master's strange behavior, to be exact she was just too used to Luffy strange behavior that Nami could immediately act like it was nothing, and continued to prepare the third prince breakfast.

"Morning, kid…" Zoro greeted not expecting any reply from the prince. The green haired man made himself comfortable despite Luffy's unclear muttering.

"Whawhywhyareyouhere?!" Luffy mumbled, he tossed his blanket aside and already on his feet to run away. Almost though, as two pair of strong hands stop him on his track.

"Don't think you can step outside looking like that, Monkey D. Luffy…"

This was Nami's voice.

"Where do you think you are going?"

This was the old man's voice.

Luffy gulped feeling hopeless. He couldn't escape this one for sure.

"Sit back! Your breakfast is almost ready!" Nami said or more like he was ordered to by the older woman. Luffy whimpered in loss and uncomfortably sit stiffly on his bed. The alien feeling started to permeate him and he already felt uncomfortable at all. The dark haired teen could feel a strong prick from an intense stare on his back from a certain green haired man currently in his room. Slowly and carefully, Luffy took a small peek at Zoro's direction and immediately regret it afterward. The golden captivating eye was dead lock on his direction, and it was too much for him when his dark eyes were interlock with that specific golden iris. Luffy could feel his limb limped and his heart beat thumped even harder and quicker than ever.

"…fy… LUFFY!"

"Yes!" Luffy said purely out of instinct. "What, Nami?"

The tangerine haired maid sighed in defeat, "Let me do your hair as you eat…" Nami said both hand already full with comb and gel and there was a clean clothes on his hand too.

"I have to change too?" Luffy asked. His cheek started to blush imagining if he had to change when Zoro was still in his room.

"Don't make my work harder, Luffy…" Nami grumbled while combing the prince's unruly hair.

"But…" The third prince gaze trailed off to the green haired king but immediately cut the eye contact when his eyes met Zoro's.

"*Sigh* You are okay changing in front of me and you don't want to change in front of him? Both of you are boy, right, why should you feel embarrassed?" Nami stated it clearly making Luffy blushed red in embarrassment while Zoro was trying hard not to laugh out loud.

In the end, Luffy ended up changing his upper clothes with intense gaze burning on his back and if a stare had a physical power it would already made a big hole on his back. But when he had to change his short, Luffy immediately snatched the clean jeans from Nami's hand and dashed to the bathroom despite Nami's yelling and Zoro's laugh.

"King Shanks want to meet you after this…" Nami said after the ravenette stepped outside the bath room still with a bright red cheek though. Luffy nodded, he was kind of curious why his father calls him. "And go with King Roronoa…" Nami added before going outside leaving the prince alone with the king.

"Whaaat? WHY?!" Luffy wanted to scream out loud but he could only gaped from the shock. The next couple of minutes were an awkward silence, both Luffy and Zoro didn't start any conversation. It was like both were waiting for the other party to start talking before talking themselves. The ravenette walked awkwardly toward his bed side and sit to gobble up his breakfast that Nami left for him. No matter what, Luffy wouldn't ever leave a food uneaten, right?

It didn't take long for Luffy to finish his breakfast and after that the silence took place once more. And when Luffy couldn't bear the silence anymore, he made a quick movement of standing but ended up tripping on his own blanket and made a direct contact between the cold surfaces of ceramic with his own forehead.

"AOWH!" Luffy groaned in pain, his hands gripped the fresh bump on his forehead after kissing the cold floor. The teen prince looked up to see a trembling older man trying to suppress his laugh but fail miserably just a minute later. Luffy could hear the sexy low laugh voice he had become used to hear these days.

"What?!" Luffy grumbled knowing how miserable he looked now with his black hair in mess once more and a bright red mark right on the middle of his fore head.

Zoro bended his body down to match with Luffy's eye level before opening his voice, "Nothing… Just thinking how funny you are…" The man commented as his big hand made a bigger mess on Luffy's bird nest hair.

The third prince could already feel his heart thumped louder and faster.

Oh God… Not this again…

Luffy thought hard to remember what Sanji had thought him to do when this scary sickness started to annoy him.

Okay, relax yourself, Luffy… Slowly remember what Sanji said… He said to put your index finger on your nose and chanted something about 'I Wont Fall For You' and something like that right?!

Lost in his thought, the prince didn't realize the intense stare from the other party. Zoro would never have thought he could fall this hard… Heck about falling in love… He didn't ever believe he ever have a heart to love anyone in the first place before he met the bright and warm-like-sun boy. This was the first time he had ever felt so happy just to see a single smile from a person.

All this time, Zoro would only thought about war. About how to protect his throne from his other family member that would always tried to find his slight weakness to snatch the throne away from him. And not just from the internal struggle, he even had to protect his kingdom and all his people from the other kingdom's threat. So, when the Pirate Kingdom suddenly tried to make a deal of peace between their countries Zoro didn't let the chance slip. He knew with cooperating with King Shanks from the big and strong Pirate Kingdom he would get the best ally and keep the most threatening enemy close by his side.

And finding the third prince was like a bonus for him. Finding the prince was almost the same like finding again that Zoro was capable of loving. Proving that he wasn't only the war monster, —or the death god without mercy and heart—, like everyone said about him.

Zoro focused himself once again breaking away all his day dream to find the prince was currently doing some stupid pose like he was trying to copy a pig? Why did he do that? Zoro thought but couldn't help thinking how cute and funny the prince was.

"What are you doing, kid?" Zoro asked between his fit of laugh.

"Nothing… Just go away old man… You are blocking my view!" The prince grumbled with a bright red face shoving the bigger man aside, "And stop laughing!" He added though it only gave the opposite effect for the green haired man. The third prince frowned while making a mental note to protest at the blonde chef. His advice wasn't working at all. It didn't slow down his quick heart beat nor did it make him stop blushing.

No… It just gave him the opposite effect considering how unbelievably fast his heart beat and how red his face was now…

"And that's all that I see, Mihawk-sama…" The slender and tall man kneeled in front of another shorter yet more intimidating looking man.

"Thank you for your hard work, Lucci… Now you can go." The man called Mihawk said with his steel cold voice as he stood up and picked up his enormous sword with him. The slender men gave a last nod before excusing himself.

Mihawk walked slowly toward the biggest window in the room where he was imprisoned for the last 10 years. From it he couldn't see anything beside the abyss like darkness and the time had came for him to break free from that place. Just a little while more before he could once again meet with his ungrateful nephew that had imprisoned him in this shitty place.

"What a pity… And I thought I had tempered your heart to be as cold as an ice…" The man laughed hard as he could already feel the throne he had left for ten years in his nephew care.

"What did you just said, Father?" The ravenette prince eyes grew wider. He couldn't believe what his Father just said. He was only hearing it, right? It was only his crazy imagination, right?

"Why are you so unhappy about it, Luffy? Didn't you always say that you want to go away from this country one day?" Shanks said nonchalantly. He didn't believe his Father could be this calm and collected when he told him about the news.

"But… But I don't want it to be like this! I want to see the world! Not only going out of this country!" Luffy shouted couldn't keep his calm anymore.

"Zoro could take you to see the world…"

"But I want to see it with my own effort!" Luffy shouted back not letting his Father to finish his words.

"Stop your childish behavior, Monkey D. Luffy!" Shanks stood up, his voice was firm and showed his authority as the King. The third prince was frozen under his Father, no, this wasn't his Father, this was the Pirate Kingdom king, King Shanks.

"This is not a request, but this is an order…" Shanks started, his dark maroon eyes were fixed on the tiny figure of the third prince. "You are going to marry King Roronoa Zoro…"

Luffy face turned from frown into pure horror. This was the worst of the worst case he would ever think of…

He would never have thought that his freedom would be snatched away by his own father for the sake of his country…
