Hello! Sorry it took so long to update, but I've been crazy busy making candy with my mom as we fulfill orders and mail them out to people for Christmas.

My mom has a candy making mini business, and I help out with packaging, dipping the candy in chocolate, and kneading the peanut butter into dough for peanut butter balls. All in all, my hands have been a mess of caramel, chocolate, and peanut butter for days!

Hope you enjoy this!

Jack sighed happily; resting in the comfortable warmth of North's embrace, finally finding relief from the stress he had endured by spending time with the man he considered his adopted father. North stroked Jack's head, his breathing evening out as he began to fall asleep in his chair, and the snow sprite snuggled closer as he felt hope burst in his chest that maybe they would find a way to beat the prophecy. The peace was suddenly disrupted when Bunny burst into the room, his chest heaving for air, and his green eyes solemn.

"I just got in touch with Sandy," the rabbit warrior growled "It's time, Holly's makin' her move now."

Jack's eyes widened, and his heart gave a heavy thump of fear "So soon…?" he quavered.

"Do not worry Jack," Father Christmas smiled gently "everything will turn out well, I can feel it, in my belly."

Jack smiled at the man's reassurance, but his mind went back to the terrible vision:

Flames…Jack could feel the heat arcing off of each greedy hungry tendril, licking away the paint and wooden facades of the sleigh. The wooden frame creaked as the boards groaned and snapped, exploding from the heat, making Jack feel his heart stop in fear. Reaching forward, the boy grasped the front of the sleigh, his chest heaving with labored breaths, as he fought for air in the overwhelming heat from the fire destroying the sleigh. His eyes turned towards the sky, a blue moon hung overhead while snowfall drifted down, looking much like tears dripping from the glowing orb, and Jack cried for help but found none.

A jarring stirred Jack back to the problem at hand. The reindeer had disappeared, flying off into the distance, leaving the sleigh to plummet towards the earth. His scream mingled with the cry of another, and Jack whirled around, his eyes wide as he searched for them. Smoke and heat stung, making his vision unfocused, and Jack swung a pale blue clad arm up to his face in an attempt to block the worst of it and see who was riding behind him. But in the middle of the flames stood a tall figure, and Jack could only catch a glimpse of a muscular arm, a bit of fur, and a long coat sweeping to the floor.

"Jack!" the voice cried.

"I'm here!" the boy replied reaching out a hand.

The figure, his face shrouded from flame and smoke reached out his own arm towards the boy, each reaching towards the other "JACK!" the masculine voice screamed when suddenly the sleigh hit the side of a mountain, making it flip through the air in its descent.

"NOOO!" Jack shrieked as he once again looked towards the moon only to see a type of lunar eclipse taking place drowning his world in darkness.

The boy shuddered at the memory, but focused rather on making his way to the sleigh, hoping against hope that he could trust in the bonds he had created with the Guardians to get him through this battle and come out victorious.

….

Holly looked down at the forest burning at her feet and let out a maniacal cackle. Her plan was going perfectly, with the direction the wind was blowing, she knew that the flames would soon reach the nearby city and decimate it, burning every building to the ground. Holly smiled, her night should only improve if someone were to arrive.

The distant sound of sleigh bells rang in the night sky, making the former Christmas spirit crane her neck up, and search the darkness lit only by the moon. "It's about time you showed up," she purred.

….

Jack held onto the sleigh as it flew, his blue eyes wide with shock at the flames devouring the forest "There's so much fire," he groaned as if in pain "the trees are…dying."

Bunny opened his mouth to reply, but only a dry croak resounded, so much devastation and pain being wreaked on the plants by a spirit, the rabbit warrior couldn't handle it. Instead he bowed his head, grieving for the trees and plants that lost their lives in the blazing inferno.

Toothiana bit her bottom lip, burying her face into Pitch's arm "That's horrible."

"Yes, it is," the Boogeyman sighed.

Sandy cast an impatient look at the group, waving his hands so to draw their attention. Once all eyes were on him, he used his pictures to give a game plan. Jack would fly over the blaze, freezing the flames, and he would be accompanied by Pitch who would wrap them in darkness, choking out the oxygen. Bunny would dig a trench around the fire, while he Tooth and North distracted Holly. The group nodded, and soon Jack was flying alongside Pitch as he rode on one of his nightmares, while Bunny got to work on the trench meant to contain the fire. Sandy and Tooth flew with North up to Holly in the sleigh, determination staining their faces.

"HOLLY!" North bellowed, his normally jolly features grave with anger and disappointment.

"North!" Holly squealed with glee before her face morphed to a look of bitter disgust "How good it is to see you, I mean it's only been, what….TWO HUNDRED YEARS?!"

"Holly," Tooth asked gently "what happened to you? Why are you doing this?"

"Why am I doing this?" the red head scoffed incredulously before pointing an angry accusatory finger at North "because HE ruined my life!"

"How did I ruin your life?!" North cried spreading his hands apart innocently.

"You with your toys, and stupid Wonder," Holly spat "you ruined the idea of what Christmas is supposed to be about!"

"Holly," North said waving his hands in what he hoped was a calming gesture "I cannot control humans, I bring joy and wonder to children on Christmas so that they never lose the ability as children to believe and create with their imagination. Is not my fault that humans are becoming more greedy and selfish, and passing on those things to their children."

"Maybe you can't control it," Holly hissed "but you definitely started it!"

With a roar of anger, the woman reared back her hands and threw a ball of fire at the sleigh, making it explode in a burst of flames. North drew his sword, cutting the reindeer free, and then leapt off the sleigh, falling into a blanket of dream sand.

Jack heard the explosion, and looked up in time to see the reindeer fly away, but he didn't see North, he couldn't see the man anywhere "NORTH!"

"Jack, WAIT!" Bunny cried, but it was too late, the sprite well on his way towards the plummeting sleigh.

"North? NORTH?!" Jack screamed above the roar of the flame.

The boy sidestepped fire where it raged around and within the frame of the sleigh, his blue eyes searching for the large man, even as the heat began to sap him of strength "NOOORTH!" he shrieked.

Down on the ground Bunny felt his chest begin to heave as he felt hyperventilation drag him into its tight grip "Pitch!" he shouted grabbing the dark specter's sleeve "Help me get ta the sleigh! I can't make a tunnel ta somethin' in the air!"

"Bunny, where is Jack?!" North bellowed as he ran up to the duo.

"He just went to the sleigh for you!" The Pooka retorted.

"WHAT?!" North and Tooth both yelled.

"I'm gonna go get him!" The Pooka stated with a firm nod.

"Take my coat," Father Christmas said flicking his coat off his body and flinging it around the rabbit's shoulders "it should at least help protect you from flame."

"Thanks."

Pitch was scrambling for a solution during this exchange, watching the sleigh drop towards the ground through his peripheral, should he get a Nightmare to give Bunny a ride? No, the flames were too high already, and there would be no way for the Pooka to board the plummeting wreckage. Biting his bottom lip, the Boogeyman waved his hands around helplessly until an idea sparked in his brain, and leaping at the rabbit with a happy "AHA!" he wrapped Bunny in shadow and teleported him aboard the sleigh.

Bunny gave a small squeak as pitch black surrounded him, drowning his furry frame in its depths, before suddenly popping out of a shadow cast by Jack as he stood in front of a roaring fire "JACK!"

The boy jumped, one hand shielding his eyes from the glare of the inferno as he searched for the owner of the voice "I'm here!"

The figure, his face shrouded from flame and smoke reached out his own arm towards the boy, each reaching towards the other "JACK!" the masculine voice screamed.

Sweat dripped from the winter sprite's face as he stumbled on weak legs across the frame of the sleigh, when suddenly the sleigh hit the side of a mountain, making it flip through the air in its descent.

"NOOOOO!" Jack screamed as he was flung through the air like a ragdoll.

The figure leapt forward, grabbing Jack in a strong embrace, and clearing them of the explosion as the sleigh hit another rocky ledge. The two fell towards the ground, Jack holding on to the red coat, only dimly aware that the wearer was…different. His eyes were focused on the moon, as it was caught in a lunar eclipse, but then darkness shrouded him in its icy folds.

Pitch strained with the effort to catch the teens falling through the air, and suddenly collapsed on the ground with a long breath of relief when they popped out safely on the ground beside the group. "Oh thank heaven," he sighed falling backwards as he labored for breath.

Jack sat up, his chest heaving as he drew deep breaths of nice cold air before turning to the red coated figure only to have his jaw drop in shock "B-BUNNY?!"

"Ye-ep," the Pooka replied slowly with fatigue staining the edges of his voice.

"B-But…my vision…" Jack stammered as his brain went into overtime "I saw…North's coat…and the sleigh…he…died…"

"Did you see North's face?"

Jack's features went blank, and he thought for a moment recalling the vision "…No…but I could have sworn it was North, I mean, it was HIS coat."

"Nah mate," Bunny chuckled weakly "I think you saw me in his coat, and as you can see, we are perfectly fine."

"Oh…" was Jack response before giving Bunny a tight hug "thanks Bunny…for everything."

"Don't be silly ya galla," he laughed returning the embrace "I'd do it again in a heartbeat."

Tooth walked over to where Pitch lay on the ground, and sat next to the exhausted man giving a proud smile and tenderly stroking his sweaty forehead "Well done Pitch."

A weak thumb's up was her only reply, and Tooth giggled in amusement opening her mouth to reply but was cut off by Holly's scream of fury.

"HOW DARE YOU!"

"Holly, you must stop!" North pleaded "Nothing good will come out of murder and devastation, you are only feeding the demon of anger within your heart, in the end you will be alone, is that what you want?!"

"I've been alone since the day you became a Guardian," the red head shrieked her hands glowing with vicious flame "I may be alone for all eternity, but at least I'll have the satisfaction of revenge!"

As Holly lifted her hands for one final assault, the lunar eclipse reached its zenith making a silver explosion rock the valley effectively putting out the flames, and a powerful voice bellowed into the night shattering all violence into silence "ENOUGH!"

All eyes flew towards the moon, and Jack felt his jaw drop once again in shock "…Manny…?"

"Holly," the stern voice continued "you have gone too far, and strayed from your intended path as a Christmas spirit. I hereby strip you of your powers, and sever all connections you hold to North and Christmas."

A light surrounded Holly, her green eyes wide with fear as she was enveloped in moonlight, and her frame shrunk until she was merely a sphere of light the size of a softball. MiM drew her into the sky, taking her to his palace "I'm sorry my Guardians," Manny spoke gently "I had hoped that she would change her mind and listen to the goodness that still beat within her heart, unfortunately however she has chosen to follow the path of darkness, and I must take her to my palace in order to recreate her into a spirit that will do good for humans, and not get hurt so easily by the humans of this world. Well done, and farewell, for now."

Silence drenched the forest, and the group sat in stunned silence "Well," Pitch mumbled from where he lay "that was….anticlimactic."

Tooth snorted in laughter at his statement "What's that supposed to mean?!"

"If Manny was gonna to abduct her with a tractor beam like that, then why didn't he do it from the start?" Pitch replied with a pout.

Sandy gave a silent laugh and patted Pitch in the shoulder while Bunny chuckled from his spot "Just go with it," the Pooka smirked "the day I stopped tryin' ta understand MiM, is the day I saved my sanity."

"You mean you actually had it to begin with?" Jack snarked making Bunny's fur bristle.

"Get over here ya bloody show pony!"

The group enjoyed a round of laughter, but North was looking in the direction of the sleigh's wreckage "It will never fly again," he sighed.

"Wait…what?" Jack stopped in his running from Bunny, only to get tackled by the furry creature. Pushing the Pooka away with a smile, Jack turned serious eyes to North "What did you say?"

"I said, that the sleigh is beyond repair, and will never fly again," the man repeated with sorrowful eyes "I will have to build new one from scratch."

Jack features went slack, except for a small smile that twitched at the corners of his mouth "A shooting star will fall, never to rise again." He muttered.

"Huh?" Tooth asked accompanied by Sandy who created a dream sand question mark.

"The prophecy," Jack said with a breathless laugh "it came true…"

"What do ya mean mate?" Bunny asked softly his green eyes serious as he gazed on his younger brother.

"When the moon weeps,

Bells will toll as a shooting star falls never to rise again

The bond will break and darkness will fall" Jack recited with an excited glint in his eye.

"When the moon weeps," Pitch began to explain a smile tugging at his mouth "the blue moon tonight. Bells will toll as a shooting star falls, never to rise again; meaning the sleigh. A bond will break and darkness will fall…"

"The Lunar eclipse!" Tooth broke in as the light bulb went off in her brain "Darkness fell because Manny used a lunar eclipse to focus his power on restraining Holly, and the bond she shared with North through Christmas was severed when she was stripped of her powers by Manny!"

"So the prophecy came true mate," Bunny grinned at Jack "and everyone is safe and sound, the nightmare is over.

Jack collapsed back onto the ground, a wide grin covered by relieved tears stretching his face "Thank God," he wept "Thank God."

The End.
