purpleinkpen I am dedicating chapter eight to Gaara. I wanted to put a bit of Gaara's life in every chapter but I ended up not doing that because it would be better this way. I'm surprised you're the only one who even said anything about Gaara not being here.
Cielheart Ie'chan I would have never noticed if you did tell me. Also in the original story Naruto's twin was a girl named Daisuke. I must have forgotten to change that when I re wrote it.
Part two
Naruto's P.O.V.
Five year old Naruto didn't enjoy having this family as his but that didn't mean he hated them. No despite his family clear neglected, he still loved them, even his twin. His family might have neglected him but on the other hand their nanny, Hikaru, made up for all the neglect, in the house, by showering him with attention but in the end it just wasn't the same. Neither the Uchiha nor Hikaru could fill the hole in him. But worst of all, he started feeling insecure about himself.
Aren't I good enough.
Naruto had noticed that it was around 10:00 a.m., meaning his family had ate breakfast without him… again. He was expecting that considering how often they have done that in the past. Honestly, if he relied on family meals as his main food source he'd be dead by now. Good thing Naruto learned to cook. That and constantly going to Sasuke's house.
Naruto went to the make a breakfast. When he opened the fridge he saw a note.
Naruto I know you didn't eat any thing so I made a Breakfast burritos. I know its your Favorite. Only second to ramen. Happy birthday, angel.

Naruto smiled. Hikaru always called Naruto her little angel. She even keeps his baby pictures with her. Hikaru doesn't know that he knows about that. She always knew what he wanted or was in the mood for.
Naruto quickly ate breakfast and walked towards the front door of the mansion. It took a while to get there, the place was big for know damn reason. So what if he's the Hokage, it didn't mean he had to live in a maze for a house - scratch that - a mansion. Anyways Naruto noticed how empty the house was and he, at first, thought they left to go on one of their family outings without him until he hears kunais' being thrown, hitting what he assumed was the ground. Yes he hears it. He has great hearing, never could explain it.
Once out the door, in the backyard and decided to check of out. In the backyard was his parents, if you could call them that, and Daisuke. He was a bit taller than himself by 2 inches but then again he was always short for his age and he looked like an exact replica of their mother just a boy version.
"Kaa-chan! Tou-chan! This is too hard! I can't even hit the target." He explained. They are working on Daisuke's throwing, which is done horribly but that didn't seem to matter with them.
"You did great for your first try, sweetie." Kushina, his mother said as she walked up to him. She had her usual ninja clothes but with her bright red hair in a high pony tail.
"Keep practicing like this and you'll be the strongest Shinobi in the nation, little prince." Minato, their father, told their 5-year-old son. Prince is Minato's nickname for Daisuke. It suits him well. He always get want he wants, when he wants and no one questions him. The villagers practically worship the ground he walks on but Naruto doesn't know why. Anyways sounds like a spoiled prince, right?
An emotion coursed through Naruto as he sees them together. Like a real Family, well minus Arashi. Envy. Yea, that's what it is. Envy for the way they never even notice that they have him. That they have three children, three sons. They are training Daisuke but why not him. It was like he isn't even apart of the family.
Seeing enough of the family moments he wouldn't and couldn't be apart of, Naruto left with his eyes stinging. Naruto ran and ran until he got tired of running and crying.
Why? Why?
Naruto didn't realize at first but he ended up at the entrance of a cave. At first it looked like a cave but Naruto knew better than that. It looks like a cave but if you go deep enough you'll find the entrance to Naruto's and Sasuke's secret place. Naruto grows unique plants that are unusual, Sasuke helps with it too. Sasuke uses it as a place to hang out with Naruto, sometimes a play place.
Few Hours Later
Sasuke's P.O.V.
Sasuke was in town looking for Naruto's Birthday. Both Itachi and him went to the market looking for a present for him but nothing really popped out to him. But as Sasuke was walking towards the hide out he saw something that caught his eyes. A small new-born orange fox. Fluffy one at that. Sasuke didn't know why but it reminded him of Naruto for some reason. The fox started moving towards him.
Berries? The fox came towards Sasuke, hesitantly. Their was a berry bush near him. Sasuke grabbed some berries, putting on his hand. He put his hand out for the kit. After a few moments, the fox came to enjoy Sasuke's company and ate the berries from his hands.
Naruto will love the baby fox! I'll give it to him! Sasuke pick the kit up.
Naruto's P.O.V.
Hours Later
Naruto saw Sasuke come in when he was watering the plants, his little garden. The hide wasn't small, like one would think, no it was big. When you go deep enough you, to come through the entrance, you would see a rock wall surrounding the entire place. The shape, from what they could guess, was an oval or circle but not a perfect one. That's not the only thing, no there was a lake. Yep a lake. There are some crystals now and then that is embedded into the ground or wall but mostly around the lake. That's where Naruto keeps his plants. All it really needs is a place to sleep there and they would be good.
"Naruto!" Sasuke yelled running to Naruto.
"Sasuke!" Naruto's face lit up bright, seeing Sasuke. Naruto noticed a kit following Sasuke.
"Here's your present, Naruto." The kit instantly went to Naruto as if it is familiar with him. It jumped to his shoulders.
"He likes me." Naruto said giggling as it licked his face.
"I love it!" Naruto said but then looked confused. "What wrong Naruto?"
"I don't know what to name it?" Naruto titled his head a bit, putting his finger on his lips.
"We can name him later." Sasuke said as the fox came jumped from Naruto's shoulder. It went into the Strawberries flied Naruto planted and ate until it was full, which wasn't a lot since it was small.
"Ichigo. We'll name it Ichigo." Naruto smiled brightly and genuinely. His bright blond hair glowed in the sunset. Naruto and Sasuke were suppose to be home before the sunset. They knew what that meant. The Uchiha's were looking for them. They are all expecting him to be over there by now.
"Oh no. Were late. Come on Naruto! Lets go!" Sasuke said grabbing Naruto's hand.
"Bye Ichigo! We'll see you tomorrow!" Naruto. using his free hand, waved goodbye.
Daisuke's P.O.V.
"Happy birthday to you." Everyone sang along as Daisuke blew out his birthday candles on his cake. The cake was two layers of devil chocolate decorated with all things ninja. Daisuke absolutely loved it.
The party wasn't really a party but more of a hang out with all his friends but had everyone important come. Such as the head clan members and their kids. All of Daisuke's other friends came as well, with their parents. They are all at the festival, in a group- walking around and messing with each other.
"Time for presents everyone." Daisuke started opening his presents. He got many clothes and toys, some learning scrolls and very few weapons(Last two from the clan members). Daisuke knew he didn't really care about the clothes, he gets them from his parents or the learning scrolls (He thinks he could learn without any scrolls) but he loved the weapons. Yea, it is something he could really use.
"Daisuke this belonged to my mother. Its one of the remaining weapons left from my home country so take care of it, okay." Kushina said walking up to her little prince. She extended her arms holding out a long dagger that was in good shape despite the age. Next up was his father, Minato.
"My present is actually from my personal collection. Starting tomorrow your going to start learning on how to make funijutsu." Daisuke was bouncing off the walls when he heard this as Minato chuckled at his reaction. Being taught by his dad, the Fourth Hokage.
"We'll start tomorrow. It's getting late right now."
"YES!" Daisuke shouted with a bright smile.
Sasuke's P.O.V.
Naruto's wide sapphire eyes started to tear up and Sasuke didn't know how to stop it. He could only hold Naruto's hand and run to the house hoping their present might cheer him up.
"They didn't even notice I was gone on our birthday." Naruto looked down at his feet as Sasuke was dragging him along.
"Come on Naruto. We have a surprise for you at home." Sasuke said in trying to move him past the so call family Naruto has as fast as he could.
"I don't have a home, remember. I'm not wanted." Naruto said sniffling as his tears fell. Sasuke heard enough. He pulled Naruto into the house past his parents and brother.
"Whats the rush, Sasuke?" Mikoto asked as she saw Sasuke dragging Naruto through the house.
Sasuke came to a halt in front of a white door. "Open the door Naruto."
Naruto looked confused about what to do. The Uchiha's got a look at Naruto's face. His eyes were slightly red and puffy. "Sweetie, what happened?"
Sasuke explained what happened mere minutes ago.
How could they not notice he was gone? How could they forget his birthday! AGIAN?
"Open the door Naruto. Your present is behind it." Fugaku said in a strong but loving voice. Naruto turned the door nob and pushed it open. It was something he never thought to get.
The room was painted blue with maple wood framing furnisher and orange sheets, pillow, cabinets and rug on the hard wood floor. His name was outlined in orange on the wall with the Uchiha symbol above it.
"But I'm not a Uchiha." Naruto whispered. Itachi bent down to Naruto height putting his hand on Naruto's head.
"You don't have to be born a Uchiha to be one." Itachi said getting s confused look from Naruto.
"You can always marry Sasu-kun, Naru-chan." Sasuke's face turned red as Naruto's remained unchanged.
"Marry?"
"Honey there only 5." Fugaku pointed out looking at his wife. She's always like this.
Itachi could only pity his brother and Naruto.
"It means you'll be with Sasu and love him forever., Naru-chan." Mikoto said blatantly ignoring her husband. Itachi could help but smirk at this.
Naruto's face brightened, "Then I'll marry Sasu!" Mikoto squealed running off planning a wedding.
No one can stop her now. Fugaku couldn't help but think.
No P.O.V.
"Is that him?"
"Yes."
"Gain their trust as their comrade first then make your move."
"Yes, sir."
