Fairy tail Fanfic
Chapter 15Extreme emotions, anger and love
Ikiru was stood alone in a place that was empty and swallowed by darkness. There wasn't anything until he heard a strangely familiar voice.
"Hey kid."
"Who's there!?", Ikiru cried.
"Oh come on you must've figured it out by now, you just don't want to believe it."
"Uh, shut up!"
"Oh, come on you can't run from it, just accept it. I'm here, you can hear my voice. And ya know what? Unless you do what I want I'll drive you insane, how's that sound? Hahaha!", the echoing voice howled. "Oh wait I know something better whenever you feel the desire for power again I'll just send another surge through your body and see who you hurt next time. Hahaha!"
Ikiru cringed.
"It'd be a real shame if you hurt that little kid with the flying cat."
"Shut up."
"Or maybe the ice guy again?"
"Shut up."
"Oh maybe it will be your little girl friend. Ya know the blondie with a crazed brother obsession! Hahahahaha"
"Shut up!"
"Ikiru, Ikiru. Wake up!", Miyuki shook him awake, with a sense of urgency in her voice. She was stood next to the bed.
He swung himself upright and and began to pant, he was sweating.
"Are you alright!?", she fretted putting her hand on his bare back.
Ikiru threw himself backwards when Miyuki touched him. He was still panting. *Huh*
He looked around to find that he was in the Fairy tail infirmary, once again.
"Hey, are you alright?", Miyui asked concerned. Ikiru stared with a scared look on his face. "Ikiru, it's me, Miyuki", she said softly as she climbed on the bed and approached him.
"Hey, you alright?", she repeated clasping Ikiru's hands in her own.
Ikiru began to calm down and his breathing started to regulate again.
He dropped himself slowly into Miyuki who was knelt next to him on the bed. She wrapped her arms around him as she pulled him in closer to herself.
Ikiru planted his face into Miyuki's shoulder as she put one of her hands on the back of his head, comforting him.
They stayed still like this for a few minutes before either of them said anything.
"You alright now?", she asked him, as she pulled his head away from her and smiled at him lovingly. They a pulled away from eachother a little.
"Yeah it was just..."
"A bad dream?"
"Yeah", Ikiru admitted.
"Hey, don't be embarrassed. After everything that's happened it's alright."
"Yeah."
"It's quite late but I don't think anyone else is here. So we should be fine to mooch around", Miyuki explained. "It's about one-thirty in the morning. You were out for quite a while."
"I guess, yeah. Is everyone alright?", Ikiru asked in a more cheerful tone, trying to lighten the mood.
"They seem to be but to be honest, you should probably be more concerned about yourself."
Miyuki looked at Ikiru's body implying he was injured. Ikiru looked down and saw multiple bandaged wounds along with some nasty purple bruises.
Ikiru wanted to change the subject.
"Hey I think I'll go get a drink", Ikiru told her pulling further away.
"You sure? I can get it if you want?"
"I'll get it."
"Alright", Miyuki acknowledged, pulling herself away from him and climbing from the bed.
*Ssshhh*
Ikiru left the room and ran the tap for his drink, rubbing his sides and examining his wounds. "Damn it, what was that?", he thought to himself.
*Ssshhh* *Squeak*
He turned off the tap after filling his glass and returned to the infirmary straight away.
He closed the door behind him *Thud*.
Ikiru approached Miyuki who was leant against a set of drawers at the side of the room. He stood next to her and leant back on it aswell.
Ikiru drank from the glass in his right hand and felt Miyuki place her hand on his left. They interlocked fingers.
"Why don't you save the rest of that and put it on the table. You need to get some more bedrest, I think", Miyuki explained with a caring smile.
"Yeah."
They both seperated from eachother for just a moment and *Smash*.
Miyuki turned to what she thought would be something horrific. Although Ikiru had just slipped and dropped the glass on the floor next to him. Leaving a bloody cut down his right arm.
"Uh! How do you even manage that. I literally just let go of you", Miyuki complained.
"Uh, sorry", Ikiru apologised rubbing the back of his head with his bleeding arm.
"You ought to be more careful, ya know", Miyuki lectured picking Ikiru up and helping him over to the bed. "I'll sort out the glass later."
"Sorry", Ikiru repeated.
"Just sit still a minute and give me your arm. I would've done this in your sleep but it was disturbing you. Now that your awake I guess I can treat this and the other injuries."
Ikiru held out his hand and Miyuki climbed into the bed shining a golden light over his arm.
Ikiru felt a strange shock up his spine and then his heart started to beat irregularly. He felt weird and he didn't know what it was.
"He..."
Ikiru lifted up his head to tell Miyuki but as soon as he saw her face he stopped speaking and started staring at her.
"Hum?", she gestured lifting up her head to speak to him.
"Oh, err, it's nothing", Ikiru panicked as he turned his head and blushed.
"What the hell's wrong with me!?", he thought to himself. He was turning red faced and could hear his heartbeat through his chest.
"Um, alright", Miyuki replied taking her attention back to his arm.
His heart was pounding. He lifted up his left arm to his chest. He didn't know why he was acting so differently but he couldn't help himself.
Miyuki could tell he was agitated by something and stopped her healing all together. She couldn't concentrate with his arm shaking all over the place.
She came closer to Ikiru and looked directly into his face. She was a bit annoyed but at the same time concerned. "What's wrong?"
"Uh, nothing", he murmurred turning his head.
She clasped his hands in her own and asked with a worried look on her face, "Ikiru, what's wrong?"
"Well it's just... I..."
Miyuki was getting closer and closer to him and his heartbeat was getting faster and faster. Then Ikiru pushed his head forwards straight into hers. He went bright red as he locked their lips together. They continued to kiss slowly for afew seconds.
Ikiru threw himself backwards away from her, "Uh, I'm sorry I don't know what I was..."
Before Ikiru had time to finish Miyuki pushed herself into him and forced him into a liplock.
They continued to kiss passionatley for a while before they stopped, Miyuki pulled away from him and tilted her head away. Her cheeks were rose red and she had the most beautiful of smiles.
It took Ikiru a moment to comprehend what had just happened.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to force myself onto you like that", Miyuki stated softly.
"No I... I mean... I did it first so..."
"It's ok. Anyway I don't mind you kissing me either, I mean this isn't a one-sided relationship, right?", she explained playfully running her fingers through her sweet yellow hair.
"Yeah."
"But I really didn't expect that from you, and I didn't realise you were more fickle than you let on to be..."
Ikiru pulled his still bloody arm into his body, in embarrassement.
"Anyway you shouldn't apologise for it... I mean...I'm glad you made a move, that makes me really happy. You don't know how long I've been waiting for that."
"Well I just thought... well... uh... you're perfect", Ikiru stuttered holding her hand with the uncut arm.
"Hum-hum", Miyuki giggled. "You're so weird Ikiru. You have a huge cut down your arm from just dropping a glass. You have loads of other wounds and now of all times you decide that you're going to kiss me."
Ikiru blushed with a slight smile on his face.
"I love you", Miyuki whispered kissing him again.
Miyuki pulled away and Ikiru whispered back with a huge smile on his face, "I love you too."
Miyuki pressed herself up against Ikiru with her hands on his chest, "Uh, now lets sort out this arm, you'll pass out if you lose anymore blood. With your heart beating this fast with an open wound you will anyway."
"Yeah." Ikiru smiled.
Miyuki sat still tending to Ikiru's arm. But he slowly felt himself being pulled away from her. Until he found himself back in the room that used his eyes as windows.
"So kid, did you enjoy that?"
"Who are you, come out!?"
"Oh are you sick of me or something? Sorry, maybe I won't help you out with your girlfriend next time."
Ikiru's anger subsided.
"That's better", the voice said, as a mirror image of Ikiru appeared infront of him. "You're wondering how you managed that right? Well it was all down to me. I can tamper with your emotions, when you let me anyway. Just then you were so unfocused that I took a chance to show you my power. I can help you if you want."
"Why would you help me know. Yesterday you sounded like a real evil bastard and tried to get me to kill my friend and then that dream wasn't too pleasant either."
"Well I thought that it would be easier to show you my power by manipulating you. To do that I tried to get you angry, extreme emotion makes it alot easier. But then when you where with that girl I thought I'd give your embarrassement and love buttons a push, worked like a dream."
"Well what do you have to accomplish by demonstrating your power to me anyway?"
"Kid I want to help you."
"What!?", Ikiru was angered by this sudden statement.
"I'm going to help you become stronger by allowing you to use my power instead of just making you rage all the time. I've come to realise that won't get either of us anywhere with that sealing wizard around, and we couldn't get rid of him if we wanted to."
"After everthing you've done now you want to help!?"
The mirror image approached Ikiru and raised it's arm. "Kid I want to help you so I'm sorry but over the next few days you're gonna be in a lot o' pain."
"What are you talking about!?"
"We're runing out of time sorry, kid. Your brain will be scrambbled for the next few days but remember this and when the time comes you will be ready", the image explained flicking Ikiru's forehead. "Unscrammble the letters just in time, and help will arrive."
"Wait wha...", before Ikiru had a chance to finish he found himself being dragged out from his eye-windows. He was back in his body.
"All finished", Miyuki stated. The wound on his arm had stopped bleeding it looked more like a scratch now than a cut. She had also treated his other injuries.
Ikiru hesitated for a second before replying, he felt strange as if he was getting headache. "Oh that's great, thanks."
"You sure you're alright?", Miyuki asked with a strange looking smile on her face, as if Ikiru had done something wrong.
"Yeah, I feel great now thanks."
But Ikiru knew something was wrong, he felt as though there was a lapse in his memory.
"Well then let's get some rest", Miyuki stated pulling them both under the sheets of the bed and switching off the lights. She pecked him on the cheek and blushed, "Goodnight."
Ikiru pecked her back on the lips and smiled "Goodnight."
