Chapter 24
As they got home Nobu pulled Jeff into her room so they can try to figure out the writing in the book.
"So, where do we start?" Jeff asked as he sat down on her bed with one of the Japanese language books in his hand.
"I dunno. Let's start by learning how to read it first." Nobu said as she sat down on her spiny chair by her desk. "There are 3 tables; Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. It doesn't look like anything is written in Kanji so let's start with Hiragana."
"Ok. I guess the sooner we can read it, the sooner we can copy it out and then try to translate it." Jeff grinned as Nobu gave him the tables to learn.
It took them 2 hours of hard concentration and copying to finally manage to learn all of the Hiragana and Katakana tables.
"Food!" LJ shouted up.
They went down for food and sat down greeting the others.
Nobu looked at her food a bit sceptically after what happened last time. Don't get her wrong, she loved the taste of whatever the foaming was but it just caused a big uproar.
"There is nothing wrong with the food Nobuki. I checked it myself." Slendy said resurging her, as she grinned and dug in.
After dinner Nobu walked into the living room after hearing something annoying and saw Ticci poking Masky.
"Hey Masky." Ticci repeated over and over again. So what Nobu did was, she sat down by Toby and started doing the same thing.
"Ticci" she repeated in the same way.
"Stop it!" Ticci screamed for her to stop as he stood up and stepped away from her.
"How do you like the taste of your own medicine?" she smirked at him with a content look in her eyes, then left to go to her room.
"Let's go through the tables again then we can copy out the text." Nobu said as Jeff walked in behind her.
"Kay. Toby had that coming by the way. He generally annoys everyone in the House." he commented as he sat down and did what she told him to do.
"Hey, can I ask a question? It's been on my mind for a while." Nobu sat down beside him on the bed with her book and notes.
"Uh, go ahead, I guess." Jeff looked unsure.
"Why is the school there? I mean, I know we need to learn all this stuff, but why was it built. There must have been a reason for Mr Creeps to do this." She asked as her curiosity finally got the better of her.
"Oh. That's a good question. I don't know the full details but I've heard that it was because of a former Creepypasta who got caught and killed by a human." Jeff answered trying to remember what he knew about the incident.
"Really? Who was it?" Nobu asked grinning. She always liked to know what's going on, especially if it involved a Creepypasta. She used to eavesdrop on her father's conversations with her uncle whenever she could in the past.
"His name was Rusty Smile I think. He was this really tall clown guy, with barbed wire wrapped around him, including his mouth, eyes sewn open and you know, the creepy shit that usually goes with a Creepypasta." Jeff described the guy as Nobu sat there listening intently.
"He sounds cool." She mused as she imagined what Rusty Smile looked like.
"Yea, I don't think any of us met him before except for the teachers. But yea, I heard that he was really good at what he did. But then one human he targeted set up a trap and Rusty wasn't able to escape, in the end he got tortured and killed." Jeff explained as Nobu listened in thought.
"How the hell did he get caught?" she frowned as her ears stuck down on her head displeased.
"Dunno. But he was good friends with Mr Creeps, that's why he made the school, to teach us how to avoid these situations and be prepared for the worst." Jeff finished with a shrug.
"I suppose so. But anyway let's try and crack this thing. I want my powers back so I can learn how to control them properly." Nobu grinned as she opened the book and started to copy it out in the English alphabet.

The next day went quietly and Nobu managed to behave. Having the book on her mind all the time distracted her from getting up to mischief.
In literature, Nobu was finished with her work early so she just sat there bored out of her mind.
Glancing over at Splendy, she grinned and walked up to him. He doesn't notice her so she just starts poking him on the side of his head.
"Nobuki, go sit back down." He says a bit annoyed not looking away from his book.
The poking continues until he picks her up by the back of her shirt and puts her in her seat with his tendrils.
Nobu just frowned at him un-amused as everyone laughed at the way he treated her.
In SP, Nobu managed to gain full control of the black smoke creatures she created quickly and focused on another one of her Hound powers; which is shape shifting. She is able to copy someone's appearance by the taste of their blood, but she couldn't change her gender. LJ was the one she got to practice it on.
"You're doing brilliantly Nobuki. Where did this new determination come from?" Zalgo asked impressed as the lesson finished.
"I wanna master my powers as soon as possible." She said grinning.
"What's the rush?" he asked a curiously.
Nobu only gave a shrug and followed after Ben, saying bye to her uncle and heading home.

"Wanna finish translateing the text today?" Jeff asked walking into Nobu's room as she got home.
"Why are you so enthusiastic about this?" She asked raising an eyebrow.
"Well, I helped you this far. I'm curious to see what you look like with your Slender powers." He said grinning as he made himself comfortable on her bed.
"Sure I guess. Let's do this." Nobu grinned and they got on with translating it. They got a few dictionaries and Japanese language books to help them.

"We did it! We finally translated this motherfucker!" Jeff yelled happily as he fell to the bed with his arms above his head exhausted.
"Yea. Thanks for all your help man. I don't think I could have done this so fast without you." Nobu grinned as she laid down beside him on the bed. She has a double bed remember.
"Guys dinner's ready." EJ came in without knocking, making Nobu jump in surprise.
"The fuck Eyeless. Don't you know how to knock?" she yelled pissed off.
"Sorry, sorry. Jeff, what are you doing here?" EJ asked surprised as he noticed the pale teen's presence.
"Helping her with some work. What of it?" he said, challenging EJ to question him.
"Anyway. Food." Nobu said running out of her room and down to the dining room before they started an argument.
After dinner they went into the gaming room instead to just relax a bit.

"You ready for this?" Jeff asked Nobu as they stood outside the Slender House.
"Yup." She grinned getting her bike ready.
They got up at 3 in the morning so everyone will be most likely asleep for what they're planning to do. After translating the text in Nobu's book, they decided to carry it out today.
"I expected this to be a lot more complicated to be honest." Jeff said looking at the text.
"Same. But the easer the better." Nobu smirked at him. "Let's see what it says."
Jeff pulled out the translation from his pocket and started to read it.
"For you to unlock your Slender powers you will need several items for the ritual. You will need to obtain the fresh soul and blood of the most foul and psychotic human and the soul and blood of the most pure and good willed human that you can find. You need for the ritual to take place in a quiet deserted place, preferably a cave.
You will need to soak yourself in the two human's blood and consume their fresh hearts before you start the ritual, wearing white clothes.
With the blood of the two humans you will have to draw the magic circle that's in this book. There is a spell that you will have to cast on the two souls to be able to turn them into a force that will help break the seal.
As the spell will eat away at the seal, you will go through pain you have never experienced before. The whole ritual will drain all of your energy so when it's over you will more than likely lose consciousness. When you wake up, your powers will be restored and you will feel none of the pain you went through." Jeff read quietly trying to keep quiet as you never know who might be listening.
"Ok. Let's go get those two humans. I know exactly who to get." Nobu smirked as she got on her bike and Jeff got on behind her.
They drove to the Human Realm as fast as they could. As soon as they passed the dimensional wall, Nobu headed for her former home town.
As it was still dark out, not many humans were about. Nobu stopped in front of a house and shut off the engine.
"So who's our target?" Jeff asked as he got off the bike.
"This is the most horrible and evil human that I ever come across." Nobu smiled as she walked around the front to the back of the house.
"We need to keep him alive until we get back to the cave don't we?" Jeff asked following behind her, knife at the ready.
"Yup. But careful though, we can't kill anyone. It would cause too much attention, and I don't wanna deal with uncle Zal shouting in my ears. So lay low and follow my lead." Nobu explained as she jumped to the second floor bedroom and held onto the window frame.
"Don't tell me what to do you bitch." Jeff whisper yelled angrily.
"Yea, yea. Now come on." She opened the unlocked window and climbed into the unsuspecting man's room. Jeff shortly following after.
"So what's the deal with this guy anyway?" he asked as they walked up to the guy's sleeping form.
"He's an alcoholic scumbag who beats his wife and rapes his daughter. He steals from anyone who gets close to him, I saw him beat up a homeless guy for looking at him once." Nobu explained smirking as she leaned over his body as she summoned a knife from her black mist.
As the guy started to stir and open his eyes, Jeff leaned closer as well, letting his face be shown in the light from the moon seeping in from the window.
Before he could let out a scream, Nobu covered his mouth with her hand and leaned in to his ear, grinning.
"Now, now. We wouldn't want you making noise. Be a good boy and stay quiet for us." Nobu whispered in a sinister, blood thirsty voice as the guy was frozen in fear, eyes wide.
"We need you to come with us without any complications. If you do make trouble we will kill you, do you understand?" Jeff asked grinning, as the guy nodded.
As they stepped away and motioned for him to get up, he launched at Nobu. With an un-impressed sigh, Nobu dodged it and hit him at the back of the neck with the hilt of her knife, knocking him out.
"Nice." Jeff grinned as he high-fived Nobu. He picked the guy up and slung him over his shoulder.
They jumped out of the window and went back to the bike.
"How are we gonna carry them back?" Jeff asked as he flung the unconscious guy onto the bike.
"Oh don't worry. I can teleport him to the cave with my black smoke." Nobu answered as she summoned said smoke. Jeff watched slightly amazed as he got consumed by black and shrunk to nothing. "Well that's the evil one taken care of. Now for the good one." She smirked with blood lust.
"Lead the way foxy." Jeff grinned from beside her as she let out a growl at the nickname.
Ignoring Jeff's comment, they got on the bike and drove a little ways away to another house.
